Anna - Edinburgh tutor

Information About Anna:

Personal Description:

I am a young, female tutor. I graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2007 having studied Geology and Physical Geography and went on to completed my PGDE Secondary in Geography at The Moray House School of Education, University of Edinburgh. I am very enthusiastic about my subject and working with young people.

Teaching Experience:

I have experience in teaching Geography to S1-S6 students (standard grade and intermediate) in a state school within Edinburgh Council. I am currently working at a leading independent school within Edinburgh where I teach GCSE and AS level. I have gained experience with working with pupils of different ages and ability including EAL students. I have recently been tutoring Higher Geography.

Tutoring Approach:

I enjoy teaching at all levels. I understand that all people learn in different ways and I will adapt to suit each individual. I hope to encourage each student to feel more confident with their ability. When tutoring I will focus on the areas that the pupil feels most difficult. When tutoring at examination level I will also focus on past examination papers and exam technique.
