Personal Description:

I am a highly qualified English & Drama teacher who is friendly, patient, organised and who focuses on getting the best possible exam result for your child. I also come with a genuine passion for my subject and the needs of the individual student.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught English Literature & language for the past 5 years both in the UK & abroad. I have worked in both the state and private sector and am currently leading drama workshops across the UK as well as tutoring in and around London.

Tutoring Approach:

In my mind, private tutoring is about providing pupils with the support and encouragement they need to further their understanding of a certain subject or overcome a specific educational hurdle.

I find the intimacy of one-to-one tuition invaluable as it allows me to focus on the specific needs of an individual rather than the general needs of a whole class.

I believe in identifying the difficulties a student is facing and then tailoring my lesson to suit their specific needs. I like to work with students at their own pace and believe that an empathetic relationship is the key to good teaching.

Most importantly however, I have a real enthusiasm for my subject and have learnt that when I use this thoughtfully, I am able to spark the student's interest so that they both enjoy and contribute towards the process of learning.
