Personal Description:
Currently I am studying Photography at Westminster University.
RUSSIAN: my father is Russian, I grew up in a bilingual environment , hence I am fluent in this language, I have learned it also at School for 5 years, therefore I know all the grammar and language rules; have participated in Conferences about Environment where the main language was Russian;
FRENCH: I have learned French for 12 years, attended a French High school, where Geography, History and Politics were taught in French; I have participated in European Union Projects, including Commenius", where students had to translate EU laws into French and English; Have participated in Exchange projects and spent a spring in France, Tours, practising language skills while living with a French Family and going to a French Lycee (Lycee de Balzac, Tours);
ENGLISH - I learned it at school, we were taught proper British English, therefore I do not use any slang and know the grammar well; I have passed International Tests in English with good scores (8/10) and now I have been living in Britain, Leeds for 2 years.
Learning something new means opening and broadening your mind, and I would be happy to help you do that!
Teaching Experience:
Last year I worked as English tutor (English as a foreign language), for children (aged 10-14), teenagers (aged 16-18) and adults (aged 35 and more, professionals), their levels varied from beginners to advanced (one of them needed the language to write a PhD Thesis in Landscape Architecture).
Tutoring Approach:
The way of teaching depends on the tutee and his/her level, but I always include grammar, reading and writing skills, vocabulary, practical exercises and speaking. Materials are taken from appropriate textbooks and online resources as well as from my works and experiences.
