Personal Description:

I am a native Spanish woman who has just moved to England as part of a career change. My extended family is located within England which I visit every year and hence why I chose the North of England. My personal interests include ballet, argentine tango and travelling. My immediate family is all based in Jerez de la Frontera in the south of Spain, and I have one sister and three dogs - which are a nightmare - but I love them all.

Teaching Experience:

I have a BEd from the University of Cadiz and in addition to Spanish have been a professional ballet teacher for the last 10 years, so have a lot of experience in both one-on-one assistance and also larger, more demanding groups. I also have a personal interest in SEN students and have additionally worked with individuals, not necessarily just in teaching them Spanish - but also in behaviour management.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a flexible approach to teaching and can cater to a variety of needs depending on what people require. My pedagogical view is that anyone can be taught to learn a foreign language based on the appropriate use of visual, auditory and kinaesthetic stimulation. My framework for teaching Spanish can be somewhat attributed to the one I had when learning English when I was young and having taken the best elements of that and incorporated it my teaching. However I insist on a good attitude and work ethic to succeed.
