Information About Emily:

Personal Description:

I am a Postgraduate violin student at the Royal Northern College of Music where I also completed my undergraduate with a 1st class honours degree.

Teaching Experience:

I recieved Pedagodgy tuition throughout my degree. I teach violin at Our Lady's school in Oldham and privately. I'm also the violin tutor for Rochdale Youth Orchestra.

Tutoring Approach:

Music is a subject that can be taught in a very academic and dry way. I hope in my teaching to get back to the instictive and emotional basis of music; learning to understand what's on the page and historical context alongside learning the skill of listening and responding which makes music such an important part of our lives.
