Information About Mariyam:


Personal Description:

I have recently completed my A-levels (including an A-level in French) and I am currently taking a gap year. French has always been one of my strengths and I am very passionate about the subject. Having just finished sixth form I have much to offer a tutee who is starting to develop their French and/or working towards their GCSEs.



Teaching Experience:

Although I have been in full-time education up until now, I have some experience of teaching through voluntary and extra-curricular activities. This includes my work at a local primary school working as a teacher's aide. I have also been involved in group reading sessions where I assisted and supported special needs students with their reading. I am currently employed at a secondary school.



Tutoring Approach:

The tutoring sessions will largely encourage spoken French as this satisfies both oral and listening aspects. Help with written French will be done through explaining and demonstrating the use of eg. different tenses and also through short written spelling/grammar exercises.
