Personal Description:

I am currently teaching in a reputable London school and have experience with tutoring in Mathematics. I have had many regular clients and have seen them through their school years with success. I am originally from Australia (don't fear - the Maths is exactly the same there!) and have a good rapport with young people. I am 31, friendly, professional and approachable.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught for 8 years and have tutored in my spare time for most of those years. I have Qualified Teacher Status in the UK so am familiar with all the policies/examination boards etc. I am currently teaching Mathematics at Year 8, 9, 10, 11 and also AS Statistics and A2 Core 1/2 Mathematics. I have excellent knowledge of all Mathematical topics and use my Psychology background to help students remember mathematical facts.

Tutoring Approach:

I am able to work with the individual student on their weaknesses and improve their strengths. I am a good listener and am able to determine what kind of explanations will suit each student. I am able to explain things in a variety of ways and my previous clients have all said how 'easy' it is to do Maths with my help and how they find Maths classes more enjoyable and 'do-able'. I generally revise the students' current work, and 'pre-teach' what is going to come next to give them confidence to complete class work with more success.
