Information About Sally:

Personal Description:

I am a Phd student studying History, my interests are religion and ideology. I have a MA (hons) in Modern European History and Russian Studies, and an MSc-res in Russian, both from the University of Edinburgh. I have also studied a lot of literature as part of both these courses and I am comfortable with a range of schools of literary criticism.

Teaching Experience:

I tutor at Newbattle Abbey College and Stevenson college, teaching study skills with Napier university's 'On Route' programme. I have tutored on a one to one basis for students in Russia, where I also lectured and taught at Perm State Pedagogical university.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that learning should be empowering, and that building self-esteem and confidence are crucial for effective education.
