Personal Description:
I came to the UK after studying for being English teacher. I obtained my Spanish teaching certificate more than 3 years ago, and since then I have worked for different languages academies throughout Edinburgh, plus private tuitions and primary after school classes. I am currently working in the Languages for All department at University of Edinburgh.
Teaching Experience:
More than 3 years teaching in different environments and age ranges. Variety of methodological focuses, including communicative and task based.
Tutoring Approach:
My point of view is teaching Spanish from day one. It can be tough, or intimidating, but it definitely makes you do an effort. I understand that students have more thing in their lives than just learning languages, so I try to adapt the information so it is interesting, funny and not a chore. That greatly depends, of course, on what the student wants, so it can be arranged before teaching.
