Information About David:
Personal Description:
I have recently completed my MSc in Business Economics and Finance. I passed with merit. I received my Bachelors degree from Boston University School of Management in Finance with a 2.1 (equivalent). Prior to studying finance I studied Engineering and thus my strong maths skills. I also have a very strong command of the English language.
I am currently working for a large energy trading firm, managing capital projects.
Teaching Experience:
I was a peer tutor in university in Calculus, Economics, Business and I led a number of lectures in Business EconomicsI have volunteered as a tutor for a little over a year teaching 7-10 years olds how to read.
Tutoring Approach:
Maths:
One does not learn Maths; instead they understand it. This is the cornerstone of my approach. Once the maths 'click' in a students head, it is very hard for it to un-click. Thus, I provide an almost Socratic approach to maths, which stimulates the student to develop the answer on his/her own.
