Information About Ahmet:
Personal Description:
I am a graduate student at Imperial College studying Medical Robotics and Image Guided Intervention. I have a bachelor degree in computer engineering from Istanbul Technical University which I have completed in France thanks to the exchange program called Erasmus.
Teaching Experience:
During the Erasmus year in France, I have had the chance to teach Turkish to international students from every level. I have worked at Nantes University as a part of their language centre. I have also taught English to French students.
Tutoring Approach:
I have learnt French by mostly talking to my friends instead of going through the grammar rules. Hence I think that having conversations about daily life could help the students learn easier in a more fun way, I would like to use the same way to teach my students. Another thing I have learnt from teaching Turkish to international students was the fact that when someone has more interacton with the culture, it facilitates for them to learn the language.
And finally, I have learnt two foreign languages, so I consider myself as having enough experience on the subject. This will also help me get a better understanding of what the students may go through.
