Personal Description:
Hi,
My name is Ciğdem and I am from Istanbul and I live in Bristol. I am a native Turkish speaker and have been living in the UK since May 2003.
My hobbies are; reading about different cultures, cooking, tennis, going to the gym and outdoor activities.
Teaching Experience:
I studied Business and Administration, import and Export department in Turkey. I have then recently completed my Human Resources Management degree in Plymouth University / UK.
Although I have been working in private organisations, I have an experience in teaching Turkish since 2009. I have thought different kind of students; one-to-one classes, group classes, adults, teenagers, beginners and advanced students.
I am also working as an interpreter and translator for government bodies and private organisations.
Tutoring Approach:
I am quite flexible with my teaching. I believe each student has a specific reason to learn a language: whether it is for business, a vacation, or just for fun.
Some would rather focus on learning the language simulating real life situations, others would rather study grammar and understand each idiomatic structure, some both.
My goal is to respect each student's necessities and respond in providing them with the tools that better satisfy their needs.
