Personal Description:
Professional electronics engineer with 30 years experience. Have wide experience using maths and science in the real world. Also very good writing and communication skills. Very understanding about how people learn and patient with people who have difficulty in some areas.
Teaching Experience:
Have done private tutoring for over five years including with work colleagues and college students. I have also been involved with schools science clubs and have an enhanced CRB check in place.
Tutoring Approach:
Relaxed, friendly, no pressure. Students are encouraged to get stuck in, have a go and not worry about making mistakes. Making mistakes is a very powerful learning tool and should not be regarded as an indicator of ability or non-achievement. Learning must be fun and self rewarding.
