Personal Description:
Working with children has always been a passion for me. I have a good grasp of the English language and am also comfortable with numbers and am therefore confident of being able to tutor both English and Mathematics to young children at primary school level with the intention of preparing the child for Eleven Plus entrance exams.
Teaching Experience:
My teaching experience to date entails working with children aged between 5 - 13 years. I have previously tutored young children both individually and in small groups. Most of my work with the children was over a period of two years and was carried out under a government project which aimed to raise the children's aspirations and awareness in higher education. I have now been tutoring young children for over 5 years.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring ensures that the child's academic needs will be catered for. Working with children requires a great deal of patience and communication, both of which are my strongest attributes. This will enable me to teach children using methods that are suitable for that particular child and will allow me to teach the child at the right pace. My motivational and creative approach to teaching will enlighten, stimulate and promote growth and development for the child.
