Personal Description:
I am a graduate student from University of Bath major in Interpreting and Translating(Chinese/English) and I've got a bachelors degree on Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from Beijing Language and Culture University. Personal Description:
I'AM AAT QUALIFIED AND ACCA FINALIST. I do lecture on-line via Skype and also could meet you up for one to one basis

Teaching Experience:

I have taught on many aspects of accountancy subjects, these include F6 Taxation, F2 Management accounting, F3 Financial Accounting, F7 Financial Reporting and F8 Audit & Assurance, which are subjects on ACCA syllabus. I have also taught on AAT (to include all units) and ABE syllabus on similar subjects and I posses a profound understanding of my chosen subjects and capable of teaching them effectively.
My excellent understanding of double entry accounting procedures provide me with the basis of dealing with various aspects of reconciliations i.e.; control account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, VAT reconciliation and dealing all aspect of ledger accounts. I also have an excellent understanding of Sage line 50 and 100 and had also used many accounting packages. Recently I worked with East Surrey College on a contract basis teaching Financial Statements, Personal Tax, and Financial Performance (AAT Level 4).

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is to groom my students in a flexible manner towards passing their exams and ensuring that my lectures are carried out in a friendly and conductive environment that involves every student. I believed that teaching is a social institution as much as it is a profession, hence partnering with my students by becoming one of them provides me that yardstick to which a good relationship between us is established.

The emotional and social (pastoral) platform I created enable free communication between us and giving me that opportunity to gain their trust and their cooperation. The ramification of this is their countenance when they work in the morning and their readiness to discuss issues or their concerns with me.

My approach to teaching is methodical, resulting from the principle of hard working and professional discipline; my scheme of work and lesson plans are well prepared ahead of the start the course and handed over to my students at the very first day of every semester. Also the weekly lesson plans are given to my students one week in advance of the lectures. I always seek to start every topic within a syllabus with a tutorial question that provides student with that rudiment or fundamental principles in which that topic is enshrined.

I like the idea of interactive class, as a result I used questions as a means of communicating my lectures with my students and ensuring every student within the class is involved. I moved from one table to the other and where necessary I dealt with student on a one to one basis if I felt a particular student seemed to be lacking behind. Passing any paper within any accountancy professions require a lot of reading and treating many past questions by students.

Note that my rate is 40 flat rate if you are only requesting for one hour tuition . I DO NOT DO HOME VISIT. Please do not contact me for home visit please. Thanks!

Personal Description:
Friendly and informal, I tailor tutoring to individual needs. I am married with a young family and enjoy the flexibility that tutoring gives me with my business hours. I see tutoring as a valuable resource for the student who can gain great insight in a one to one session

Teaching Experience:

I have been a personal tutor for over 12 years, helping many students with maths and sciences, mostly at GCSE level. In addition I have experience as a Lecturer at The University of Huddersfield and at Wakefield District College. Where I taught computer science and I.T.

Since 2000 I have been looking to focus more on music and to develop this as my specialism. I can assist with Music theory up to around Grade 5 and Piano and Keyboards from beginner to intermediate level.

Tutoring Approach:

Individually tailored to the student. I prefer a sytematic approach, followed up by individual study by the student. I regularly assess student progress to ensure full understanding and encourage background reading for breadth of knowledge.

Personal Description:
I am an independent tutor with a strong scientific background and have lived in England since Aug 1965. Most of my school and college education took place in Dudley (West Midlands) and I studied Biochemistry, at Leeds University (1975-8). I am married and have lived in Cheshire since Dec 1978. We have a son and a daughter; both graduated from Universities in Manchester. Following my voluntary redundancy from AstraZeneca, (Jun 2008), I am now a self-employed Tutor / Consultant. In addition, I am able to speak additional languages (Punjabi; studied up to GCE A-level and Hindi) and prepared to travel up to 5 miles. I have been tutoring Yr 7 - 13 students, in Maths and all Science subjects, since Oct 2008. In addition, I have prepared students from Yr 6, for the 11+ exams; frequently used by private schools, as entrance exams. Testimonials / References (from Students and Parents) are available, on request.

Teaching Experience:

During my long service in the Pharma industry (~30 years), I have run many short courses and workshops. During 2005/6, I mentored a pupil (Year 10/11) at St. Peter's High School, Longsight, organised by the University of Manchester. In the past, I have also been responsible for organising and running the weekly classes at the Sikh Temple (Gurdwara), for teaching youngsters the Sikh way of life & Punjabi culture, in helping to improve their knowledge and integration into the Western Society over a period of ten years.

Tutoring Approach:

I can provide tuition to individual students (or small groups) in the form of friendly, relaxed lessons. Teaching sessions are always customised to meet the specific requirement of the students. Generally, I enjoy teaching and considered to have a caring approach. I use a combination of computer and 'white board' based approach, for creating informal interactive / discussion type sessions, with some form of regular tests and re-cap sessions. Closer to the exams, the lessons are much more focused on using past papers covering a wide range of questions, to enable the students increase their confidence in preparation for the examinations.

Tutoring Approach:

My training revolves around clarification, scepticism and individuality. All training is time managed to ensure the student gets the most out of their lessons. We begin with a clear set objective and make sure the student has in mind the goal of every exercise undertaken. Rather than teach a list of techniques, I actively engage all students to get the most out of their individual strengths and I encourage them to look critically at what will work best for them. I promote a self-coaching concept for more efficient skill retention.

Personal Description:
I am a 28 year old Masters student taking a career break from advertising to study full time in an area I am passionate about - International Development, at SOAS in London. I previously graduated from the University of Manchester in 2010, where I studied French and Spanish as a Joint Honours, and received a 2:1 with a Distinction in spoken Spanish. I have lived and worked full time in Paris and Argentina for 1 year as a part of my degree. I also studied Portuguese for 2 years at University and received a High First at Intermediate level. I love languages and take great pleasure in passing on this enthusiasm to others!

Teaching Experience:

-I was a teacher's assistant for the head of the French department at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys in June 2010. I assisted in teaching Years 7 and Upper Six, and all years in between with class sizes ranging from 6 to 32. I attended 12 hours of training on behavioral management, how to engage pupils and effective teaching prior to this placement which prepared me well.
-I informally taught English as a foreign language to French, Spanish and Portuguese adults on a weekly basis for 2 years whilst studying languages at university, as language exchanges.
-I have tutored Spanish and Chemistry GCSE students through this site with positive results, references available on request.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a professional, friendly tutor with great enthusiasm for learning. Can tutor to boost student's level, or help to prepare for exam deadlines. For GCSEs, A-Levels, University exams or personal deadlines, we can work out a learning plan to fit the student's requirements. Usual areas to work on are reading/writing/listening/speaking skills. I have my own material (films, tv clips, music) to supplement the student's own if needed for languages.

I look forward to hearing from you,
Lucy

Personal Description:
A highly effective teacher; experienced, well organised, motivated, enthusiastic, with good sense of humour.

I establish rapport with my students. In my long career in teaching, I have learned how to make the most complex concepts in science 'digestible'. My motto is: 'Excellence in Education'.

I am a member of Pi Lambda Theta (International Honour Society for Educators).

Teaching Experience:

I am a qualified Teacher / Lecturer, and have taught Biology and Chemistry for over thirty years in Secondary, and Further/Higher Education in the US, the EU, and the UK. I have taught the AQA, Edexcel, OCR, and the International Baccalaureate specifications.

In addition to teaching students, I have trained teachers, as well.

Tutoring Approach:

While my Bachelor's Degree is in Biology and Chemistry, my Master's Degree is in Education with emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction, which means I have trained in designing and delivering effective lesson plans, as well as a complete curriculum. I design my instruction taking into account the student's learning style. The 'one size fits all' type of teaching is responsible for the failure of many students. Every student can learn and can do well, provided the teaching style accommodates the student's learning style, and there are no 'gaps' in what is prerequisite knowledge for taking a certain course.

Knowledge builds on pre-existing knowledge. I make certain that my students really understand and appreciate that. I diagnose any 'gaps' in content knowledge that my students may have, and I 'fill' them, providing a solid foundation for my students to build on.

Study skills, which figure prominently in my teaching, and exam technique, along with a well-rounded, in-depth knowledge of content, provide the key to success.

At the end of the course, my students not only do they have what they need to tackle the Biology or Chemistry Exam, but also a wealth of learning skills which they can apply to other subjects as well, and which they will find essential in all their future academic studies.

Educational technology supplements my instruction. The content in every session is presented on PowerPoint with quality images. I clarify every point and make certain my student has 'grasped' the present concept before I proceed with the next. Where appropriate, the PPT presentation is followed by a brief video which makes the content 'come alive'. My PowerPoint presentations, as well as my notes on PDF or Word files are available for my students after the lesson.

I finish the lesson practicing exam - style questions. It goes without saying that regular revision is important, and I provide my students with lots of past exam papers.

Personal Description:
I am a published academic author with thirteen years' experience of teaching university students at different levels, including those undertaking foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. I also have extensive experience of teaching via distance learning (by both telephone and online). I have a BA hons in Social Policy and Administration, an MA in Social Research and a PhD in Social Policy. I have significant experience of conducting academic research, writing and editing publications and proof-reading a wide variety of different sources.

Teaching Experience:

I have worked as a lecturer, online tutor and researcher, teaching, supporting, and marking the work of undergraduates and postgraduates. I have taught in - and developed teaching materials for - a variety of subjects within the fields of sociology and social policy. These have included general sociology and social policy modules, current debates in welfare, crime, housing, disability and study skills modules. I have also taught MA Disability Studies for eight years and I have supervised both undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations in various subjects. I have been a private tutor for four years, and have successfully supported students in developing their assignments and dissertations for Sociology, Business Studies, Education and Social Policy degrees, as well as students working towards MAs and PhDs in various fields.

Tutoring Approach:

My tutoring approach is supportive, friendly, practical and student-centred. I have taught in a variety of styles and formats to suit the varying needs of students from different backgrounds, cultures and with different access requirements. I therefore understand the need to be flexible, to tailor teaching styles and methods to each student and to allow students to identify the most appropriate approaches to learning for them. I have found that this approach to learning has not only helped my previous students to build confidence in their skills and knowledge, but it has also led to greater success in their academic achievements.

Personal Description:
Hello, I'm Victoria, I have recently graduated from the University of Leicester and as part of my degree I have spent time living and teaching abroad in both Spain and Italy, as well as working with people from different native backgrounds.
My main passions are learning and teaching languages, immersing myself in different cultures, travelling and cooking.

Teaching Experience:

I have experience in private tuition, teaching English to people of all ages and levels in Spain and Italy.
As part of my degree I also completed a TESOL module where I desgined various lesson plans and activities useful in teaching any langauge.
Being a language student myself, I have invaluable experience in different teaching methods and various ways in which to successfully learn a foreign language.

Tutoring Approach:

I am very flexible in my approach to tutoring. I am open to any suggestions or preferred ways of learning that my tutee's wish to put forward and I am focused on planning the lessons to meet each of my tutees needs and preferences.
I take a very practical and interactive approach to teaching languages, using various resources such as videos and other listening materials, powerpoints and appropriate written materials and activities. I will pay equal attention to writing, reading, speaking and listening as important components to learning a language, unless a tutee prefers to focus on one particular skill.

Personal Description:
I am a dedicated and a compassionate individual. Currently studying for my law degree. During the weekends I work in retail which enables me to gain outstanding communication skills with people of all ages. For GCSES I achieved outstanding grades for all my 11 subjects. Furthermore at A-level I studied 5 subjects; English Lit, History, Law, Spanish and Sociology. I have access to past papers and useful revision books, my own notes from A-level and other resource materials. I feel education is one of the most important and essential things in life therefore everyone ought to take advantage and increase their knowledge! Due to my age, and having done exams not too long ago myself I feel very confident in helping students overcome exam stress and coursework pressure.

Teaching Experience:

I enjoy teaching, so in 2010 I did voluntary work abroad in a third world country where I taught under privileged youngsters. It was an amazing experience and the satisfaction of knowing you've actually taught them something is beyond describable!
Currently, for my law degree I have to go to primary and high schools in the borough to enlighten students about their basic rights if stop and searched by thr police.

Tutoring Approach:

Tutoring is the perfect job for me because I feel it will not only benefit the students, but it will benefit me too for my aspired career. Majority of students set themselves quite drastic and unrealistic goals, therefore, as a tutor I can actually observe them and set them personal goals which will help them attain their best in exams.

Although I claim to help up to an Advanced Higher Maths standard, I have the ability and experience to help those at university struggling with foundation maths courses.

Personal Description:
I am primarily an animal portrait artist who works on a commission basis but I also enjoy painting other subject matter. My favourite medium is pastels as I love the soft effects that can be achieved, especially when dealing with fur. I work privately from my studio facility, which is part of an artist's network in central Hadleigh as well as teaching in people's homes and I also deliver workshops to art groups around Essex.

I exhibit locally and have had work accepted at the Mall Gallery in London. My latest commission was to produce a mural in conjunction with a local primary school. I also have several years experience of working with children in all age groups.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching one-to-one sessions over the last three years from beginners to intermediate and teaching in groups within a workshop session. I have experience of teaching both children and adults in a wide range of mediums, with the ability to differentiate the work if needed.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching is very supportive and encouraging. I like to put people at their ease, with friendly surroundings, so that they can savour the lesson and gain experience. My goal is to teach my students techniques in both drawing and understanding colour so they can ultimately develop their own style. There is the opportunity to try a range of mediums and learn the skills associated with each.
