Personal Description:
I am an MBBS doctor and have worked at St Georges Medical University of London. I am a trained PBL / CBL tutor and conducted tutorials at this university. I have completed my Diploma in Proofreading from NCC college of learning and work as a proofreader aswell.

I am interested in teaching profession. I have almost seven year experience of private and online tuitions of Biology, Combined Science to the students of GCSE and GCE and Anatomy to the students of MBBS.

I am very passionate about teaching. My teaching techniques differ with students. I know how to help weak students by giving small assessments. However, I don't believe in passive Learning, I want my students to be Active learner. So, my lesson is not based on just explaining topics but, I make sure that students understand that and do some work their-self.

I do different kind of topic based activities which enhance student's confidence and they can write their answers in more depth. Moreover, revision sessions are the prime importance of my lesson. I do believe, if students act according to my suggestions, the way I guide them, they will get high scores.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught Biology to GCSE and College level students in groups and individuals. From 1997-continue. I am aware of all exam board (AQA, OCR & EDEXCEL)

I do Problem and Case base learning at St Georges University of London (First, Second & T year)

I have taught Biology to AS/A2 level student in May-June 2009 - continue

I have taught Pediatrics, Obstetrics to a student of imperial college through face to face in 2009- continue.

I have good experience of teaching and supervising OSCE and have taught this to student of st Georges University of London in Feb-June 2009.

I have taught Pathology to a student of US Via correspondence in 2009.

I have interest & experience of teaching in the following areas;
GCSE, AS / A2 (GCE) levels, Physical Education (Academic side) & IB:
Biology
Combined Science
Applied Science

MBBS, Nursing, and Physiotherapy Degree Levels:
Medicine
Gynecology /Obstetrics
Pediatrics
Anatomy
Pathology
Physiology
Microbiology
Pharmacology
Forensics

Tutoring Approach:

As a tutor I elicit response that demonstrates understanding. During teaching I create the space for students to learn. For Instance, the art of my teaching is to ask students to demonstrate what they already know about the topic because it helps students in building their understanding based on their knowledge.

I can teach either face to face or through correspondence and I give students time to learn at their own pace. I always ensure that students have displayed their understandings to me. I am approachable and friendly so students can pay attention and feel they can ask question.

In addition, I also provide small assessments to assess the outcome of my teaching and student's understanding and their performance

I help my students in several forms. The most common of which are:
Preparing Notes and Handouts
Preparing Model Answers
Marking Work
Providing Mcqs for degree students
Helping in course work

Personal Description:
Hello, I am a well qualified, BA, MPhil, PGCE teacher who is looking to branch out into more private tutoring work. I have privately tutored for many years and have experience since 1996. I have taught at all key stages and enjoy my work thoroughly. Last year (2016) my A level tutees all raised their grades by at least one and have gone off to uni. Proud to add that one in particular achieved an A* in Geography A level.

Personal Description:
In 2013, graduated from King's College London and Humboldt University in Berlin, where I studied English law and German law, LLB an LLM, in English and German. After working for a year in admin-related jobs, I did another masters, in EU International Relations, at College of Europe in Bruges, studying in English and French. I spent the last half a year in Brussels, doing a traineeship in the European Commission and now I am back in London, looking for a job and would love to do some tutoring as well, as I have some experience as a teacher and really enjoy doing it!

As far as my knowledge of German is concerned, I spent a year in Berlin (Humboldt University in Berlin) doing my masters in German and European Law and Legal practice. It included writing and defending a masters thesis in German as well as passing exams in German. I learnt German at school (passed it with the best grade at my IB final exams - A-levels equivalent, I also passed the test DaF, proving the knowledge of this language at the C1 level) and at university, where I had legal German courses. I have experience teaching German as I was tutoring German during my last year at KCL to fellow stundents within the framework of the KCL Language Society. I was also teaching German through this website a couple of years ago and very recently, during the traineeship in Brussels I was teaching intermediate German to a group of fellow trainees on a weekly basis.

As for Polish - I come from Poland originally, so Polish is my mother tongue. I went to school in Poland and only left the country at the age of 19. During my last year at KCL, I was also giving individual Polish lessons part time to English people.

Teaching Experience:

I was teaching English to children in kindergarten in my home country when I was at secondary school. The children were aged 4-6 and I was teaching basic vocabulary and expressions to them. I was preparing various games and songs in order to make the teaching experience easier for them.
While at university, I was an active member of the language society and so I taught German to fellow students, at the beginners and intermediate levels. I taught them grammar rules but also made them practice speaking and listening. I was giving individual Polish lessons during my last year at university as well. Recently, I was a German tutor teaching intermediate level German to the trainees in Brussels.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe tutors must be very patient and answer every question as carefully and as exactly as they can. They should know what their tutees' motivation for learning new languages is and try and set goals that would be suitable to the tutees' needs. This means, tutors should approach each tutee individually and find out what is most important for them in the learning process.
I also believe that learning a new language requires a lot of work to be done by the tutees at home. This is why I give homework as I believe students need to have motivation to study also outside the classes. I set a specific number of vocabulary they need to learn for the next class and check if they have done that. Moreover, I believe learning a language is not just about the grammar rules and for this reason I not only give my students grammar exercises but also encourage them to listen to the radio/news/tv etc. in the language they learn and try to speak as much as possible.

Personal Description:
In October 2014 I graduated from Imperial College London, where I spent 4 years studying for my Masters Degree in MSci Mathematics. I have a big passion for learning and this is a trait I want to be able to pass on to other children. Currently, I am working as an Analytic Consultant in Birmingham, which helps to demonstrate the strong analytical and communication skills that I possess.

Teaching Experience:

During Secondary School I ran a Maths Club once a week where I set problems and puzzles for all students. Furthermore, I was a Chess Coach teaching chess to primary school children and in Imperial College I held sessions with 1st Year students aiding their transition between school and university.

Thus, I have had experience teaching a wide range of ages and abilities, which will help me to adapt my approach based on the student.

Tutoring Approach:

As a tutor I aim to pass on my passion for Mathematics onto my students, developing their understanding and appreciation for the subject. In my opinion this is the best way to learn as ideas become easier to remember and concepts become quicker to grasp, which will transpose into better grades and examination performances.

Overall, I bring an enthusiastic and approachable atmosphere to my sessions, where students are not afraid to ask questions. This will enhance their learning experience and again improve exam results.

Personal Description:
CIAO A TUTTI!

My name is Stefano, a Ph.D. student in Italian Studies at the University of Reading, where I have been teaching since 2014.

There is no age limit for learning ITALIAN!

Grazie e a presto,
Stefano

Teaching Experience:

I have been a part-time teacher at the University of Reading since 2014.

I have a good level of experience in teaching and learning at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

In Italy, I have taught on XIX and XX century Italian literature at the Università di Chieti and on Dante and Italian Philology at Salerno. Since moving to Reading, I have taught on literature and theatre as well as contemporary and modern European history. At Reading, I am also the leader of study sessions on feminism and fascism.

Here I am also a Study Skills Adviser.

You may also visit my academic profile (conferences, publications, translation, theatre at Reading) on academia.edu.

Tutoring Approach:

Interactivity and students' involvement are at the core of my teaching. My focus is on the creation of original learning activities.

I have always believed in teaching Italian language and culture in a more dynamic and informal way.

In Italy, I taught elocution classes and theatre for students of all ages. At Reading, I founded the 'Italian Theatrical Group' within the Department of Modern Languages to improve students' linguistic fluency and knowledge. I find extremely useful recording scripts and rehearsals to give students feedback as well as to encourage their creativity and self-correction.

My lessons are specifically tailored on students' needs, individual or groups, children or adults.

Thanks to my theatrical experience, my lessons for CHILDREN will include the use of 'puppets' and other activities to be decided time by time, according to the topic and tutees' needs.

For ADULTS: As well as standard lessons, I also offer to translate/proof-read Cv, COVER LETTERS, AND ANY OTHER DOCUMENT, CERTIFICATE OR CREATIVE WORK.

Personal Description:
I received a First Class Honours B. Sc. degree in Computer Science from Cardiff University, UK, in 2016 and I am currently working towards the Ph.D. degree in the field of Cyber Security at the same University. My research revolves around the security and privacy of Internet of Things devices (IoT). I have experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, and Matlab, as well as with a variety of other technologies. As a current PhD student I also have experience in various research and study methodologies. Finally I am fluent in Greek (Mother Language as I am Greek), English, and Italian.

Teaching Experience:

For the past year, apart from being a private tutor teaching mainly GCSE Computing/ICT and Greek Language, I have also been a Teaching Assistant at Cardiff University. There I have been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students programming; Python and Java as well as Web Applications Technologies. Additionally, I have been supervising group projects for year 2.

Tutoring Approach:

I aim to provide a solid grounding in the subject while paying close attention to the needs of the student. Therefore, I will vary my tutoring style depending on the ability and needs of them. I aim to run my tuition in support of the progression of my students through their subject syllabus, but I am also willing to progress more slowly and focus on particularly weak areas if the student so desires. I will also offer pre-exam revision sessions for all exams including modular resits and conduct end of topic tests and mock exams should the student desire.

As I aim to tailor my tuition to the individual I expect students to maintain regular contact in regards to their subject progressions and their individual needs.

Personal Description:
I am an enthusiastic qualified teacher (QTS)
interested in continue embracing my teaching career in the private sector.

I am committed, driven by my personal initiative and I have a passion for teaching that allows me to establish very nice bonds between me and my students. I am very patient, fun and genuine.

Some of the key skills that define me as a professional private tutor are:

• IT skills
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Ability to motivate and support students
• Behaviour management skills
• Ability to adapt lesson plans to students
• Ability to create positive learning environments
• Time management
• Self-motivation to keeping myself up to date with statutory requirements and training

Teaching Experience:

My teaching experience comprises of two years experience teaching Preschool children in a Private
Nursery School in North London and two years teaching within a Primary school at KS1, KS2 and KS3 in Valencia (Spain).

In addition to my previous roles, I have been expanding my teaching skills by working as
a private Tutor for the last 4 years. Specialing in Spanish (all levels) and Special needs (homeschooled children who don't attend main stream schools).

This experience has allowed me to gain an excellent
understanding of the MFL curriculum as I have been able to teach Spanish language up to University
level ( including Early Years, Primary School, GCSE, A-level and adult learners).

Experience that has also given me the opportunity to increase my knowledge and expertise in Special needs and more particularly in Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Tutoring Approach:

Being exposed to a vast array of educational needs and levels has given me the ability to explore different teaching techniques and has also allowed me to develop an appreciation of building bespoke materials based on individual requirements.

Effective lesson planning driven by the National Curriculum is essential in structuring my resources and objectives. Utilising ICT resources I believe is very beneficial to support the teaching and learning journey.

One of the key challenges within my tutoring role is juggling the needs of students from a variety of backgrounds and educational needs. Incorporating their own interests to motivate, encourage and focus their learning is a successful technique.
