Personal Description:
As a graduate of The Musashino Academy of Music in Japan, I have extensive experience in performing as a concert pianist in Japan and accompanist for Violinist and Vocalist for their concerts.
I accompanied on a Japanese Canzone CD which was released in 2005 and I used to make music for TV commercials. I'm not only limited to classical music, I also have experience and understanding of many types of composition, from ethnic forms right through to modern, contemporary, techno and electro. I am well traveled and have an understanding of many different cultures.
I am an outgoing, fun person and although I think this shows through to pupils, my lessons are strict and I prefer only to take on serious students who are determined to achieve their goals.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching for 13 years in Japan, 1 year in the USA and 18 years in the UK. I can train you to all levels, for all English or Japanese piano grade exams or for entrance to music schools, GCSE Music, universities and all levels above.

Tutoring Approach:

Students who want to improve your skills & pass exams, I am confident that you will see improvement from the very first lesson.
I feel that music is not just about learning the notes & playing them in the right order - like people, every piece has it's own character, emotion & depth. I think it is just as important to get the student to recognise & express this, as it is for them to learn the correct technique.

Personal Description:
I am a postgraduate from the Documentary Photography course at Univeristy of Wales, Newport (graduated in 2000). I have worked as a professional freelance photographer since graduating giving photography classes, workshops and conferences to students of all levels and ages. I have extensive experience a reportage photographer, not only in undertaking magazine assignments but also wedding and portrait work. As a photographer and tutor I can offer an in-depth knowledge of darkroom practice as well as digital software editing(i.e. Photoshop, Capture One Pro, Lightroom), having worked both with film and digital media for the past 15 years.

Teaching Experience:

I have over ten years experience in giving photography classes and workshops to young learners (residential camps giving classes to children aged 11-16 years of age) and adults at all levels and abilities. I have taught an extensive range of photographic genres e.g Portraits, Studio Flash, Landscape, Creative Photography, Night Photography, Creating A Narrative(Reportage) and Wedding Photography.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching is contextual and task based. I plan and work to the individual needs of the pupil(s), making sure that the classes are fun, interesting and relaxed. I believe with these elements the student feels more stimulated and the information in the learning process is absorbed more easily. One important factor is to concentrate on the student's individual learning potential by giving them confidence and positive feedback throughout the lessons. I can also use such tools as Skype and a whiteboard to provide online distance learning, when travel is not possible for myself or the learner.

Personal Description:
I am a very patient and dedicated French native speaker. I tailor my lessons to the students' needs and expectations. Tutoring is not just guiding students through their learning but also giving them confidence and enabling them to experience lessons in a relaxed, friendly and yet serious way.

Teaching Experience:

I have been a teacher for over 9 years and have a very diverse experience as I have been working in an Alliance francaise in Mexico, in a language centre, two adult education centres and two tutoring agencies. My first teaching experience was a French Language Assistant in Preston, Lancashire. I have had students ranging from 7 years old to 70+, from absolute beginners to advanced levels. I've given private and group classes and intensive courses (up to 7h a day) in schools and companies. I have over 4500 teaching hours, including more than 3200 hours of private tuition (basically in French Literature, French and English as Foreign Languages; 2500 of which in the UK).

Coming from France where I taught French Literature to a student preparing a diploma in Accounting, I have now been in the UK for four and a half years. I am occasionally in charge of groups of beginner students in a language school and give private tuition (self-employed as well as with two tutoring agencies). At the moment, I give French private tuition for the preparation of GCSE and IGCSE, DALF C1, CNED CE1 and CM2 (French school curriculum, distance learning) and university essay writing. I also tutor other students looking to learn or improve their French communication skills for personal reasons.

Tutoring Approach:

I am very flexible and know how to adapt my teaching to the specificities and demands of the students.
Understand and be understood! That's the main thing when you learn a language, be able to communicate.

Whether you are a student taking GCSE or A levels in French and need confidence for your exam or you are a professional willing to have a proper conversation with your French colleagues or clients, or just want to enjoy your next holidays in a French-speaking country, whether on a daily basis or intensive classes, we will first talk about what YOU are looking for and how I will help you to achieve your language goals.

Personal Description:
I'm in my early fifties, am married with four children, the youngest of whom is still at home. I have 30+ years experience of teaching all ages from pre-school (I used to child mind) to A level and FE students. I have taught children aged 4-14yrs in an Independent Christian School and I have English GCSE to adults. I help people who have particular difficulties and those who just lack confidence. I help people to see their very real strengths and to build on them, showing them techniques for learning and improving their writing style, comprehension skills and spoken English in a way that suits them as individuals. I always make sure that whether or not you want to pass exams, the English you use is fit for whatever need you have - so if you just need help in speaking to Doctors and nurses in hospital, I can help with that or if you want to start at Uni I can meet your study needs too at whatever level. I am extremely passionate about education and have a purposeful approach which takes account of students' individual learning styles. I am happy to travel to you at a cost of 40p per mile but if you prefer to come to me, that's fine too.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught in homes, Primary and Secondary Schools, Colleges and Community Centres. I have taught workshops on how to apply for a job as well as teaching English as a foreign language and even adults with learning disabilities. You can see from this that I am a teacher who loves teaching - education is my passion! I also love reading and researching so I can help people with dyslexia and other learning difficulties. I have been trained in this area and I have always taken opportunities to improve my teaching skills. My students are very proud of their achievements in exams etc but most of all they thank me for building their confidence and allowing them to work at a pace which suits them so that they really enjoy what they are learning. I have taught the Cambridge ESOL qualifications Using the CLT technique from the CELTA qualification which I gained last year) as well as GCSE English language and Literature. I have experience of teaching on the one to one tuition scheme in Primary schools as well as class teaching. My most recent experience is as Head of English in a school for children with moderate learning difficulties, especially autism aged 11yrs to adults.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to give personal attention to my tutees and to tailor the lessons to their needs but am happy to teach up to 3 people together to reduce costs if that helps. We work on Language skills such as pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar in ESOL lessons with plenty of practice for tests if needed and when studying literature at a higher level, I encourage my tutees to relate what they are reading to current issues and events in the world so that it is relevant and interesting for them. We have lots of fun but at the same time we work intensively, reading aloud to proof read and learning strategies for spelling, punctuation and organising essays etc. It is a great way to prepare for further academic study and I can help to prepare students for interviews or to give that all important presentation which could lead to promotion. We offer Home Stay at our home which is a riverside Victorian Railway station in the heart of particularly attractive countryside with visits to sites of Historical interest, practice with English speaking in our family from 350.00 /week negotiable according to visits selected.

Personal Description:
Hi, my name is Christiane and I am German. I have been living in the UK for many years. I am a very reliable and approachable, but professional and trustworthy at the same time. I am always honest and work very hard to achieve my targets. I am sure I can help you to achieve the results that you were looking for and with my support, learning German or English will be just a positive and enjoyable experience.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Teaching Experience:

I have been giving German lessons to students of any age for 7 years. My students are normally preparing university exams, GSCE, business people or simply people who enjoy to learn the language in order to be independent and confident when traveling to Germany.

Teaching English is something I also very enjoy. My students are normally people who want to live here for a few years or even for the rest of their life.

Tutoring Approach:

After initial assessment we will decide together how and how often I will teach you or your children. I make learning fun with games etc.
Motivation is probably the most important factor that educators can target in order to
improve learning. Student motivation is an essential element that is necessary for quality education and as far as I can, I try to adapt the lessons approach according students needs and target to be reached.

Personal Description:
I am a french student doing a MSc in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bristol until next September. During the whole summer (from June to September), I will be working on my Thesis and will be able to organize my time in order to give some french tutorials.

Teaching Experience:

Back in France, I had already a teaching experience as a Mathematics/Physics teacher for Secondary school level students (13-18 years old). I have good teaching skills as I usually adapt the tutorials according to the learning objectives of the tutees. For example, some will only need speaking skills in order to be able to travel in France, then, I will focus my teaching on typical daily conversations useful to get along actual speaking situations. Some will need more academic basics. Then, I will try to construct the tutorials with more complete tools (both speaking and writing comprehension, and expression).

Tutoring Approach:

I usually start by understanding the learning objectives of the tutees in order to adapt the way to teach. If the tutees is still a student, I will have a look at what he/she does at school and will provide some additional work or/and help him/her to complete some homework and help him to understand more deeply the french course.

My name is Daniel and I currently study Ancient History and Archaeology at Reading University, I am originally from Guernsey and studied at Elizabeth College, for my A-Levels I took Ancient History (A at A2) Classics (A at AS) Design and Technology (A at A2 with 98% in coursework) and Photography (B at A2). I also have some background in french speaking and teaching Sailing.

Teaching Experience:

During my time at Elizabeth College I was a cadet leader in charge of 50 or so cadets, this role involved teaching the recruits various aspects of the curriculum, from theoretical to applied learning.
I am also a sailing and Powerboat instructor, this was paid work over the summer, where I would take children, relatively new to the sport, and within a week have them sailing proficiently on their own.
During these activities I would be teaching young adolescent and the occasional 10-11 year old.

-As a one to one student you will always have the undivided attention of the teacher for the entire lesson.
-All lesson plans can be individually tailored to your needs.
-We can spend as little or as long on any given individual topic until it is properly understood. The choice is yours.
-The 1:1 - teacher to student ratio cannot be beaten.

With education a solid foundation of knowledge must be laid before additional levels can be built upon it; otherwise the structure in question will inevitably fail.

Tutoring Approach:

I would say I very much hands on, first I would read ahead in the curriculum, in order to ensure my understanding of the subject was clear, I would then form a powerpoint in order to provide a visual learning point, whilst I would orate the background to the student, It would follow a chronological order, and would and in-depth background knowledge that would help the student understand the subject matter better, and allow the student to access higher grades

Personal Description:
I am 54 years old and I have been a self employed tutor for over five years. I live in Nelson and always travel to the homes of my students. I have taught students from 8 years of age to adults and all ages in between. I love tutoring my students, because it is teaching in its purest sense without all the pressures of teaching in school.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching since 1989. I have taught in local secondary schools, including more than 10 years in a school in Burnley. I have worked in primary schools on a supply basis. I have a great deal of experience in teaching pupils and students with educational issues, pupils with statements of SEN, both behavioural and educational. I have a proven record of boosting grades at both GCSE and Key Stage 2 SATS. More recently I have tutored and mentored pupils studying for their 11 plus exams particularly for Clitheroe Grammar School.

Tutoring Approach:

When tutoring my students, it is crucial to establish a relationship with not only the student but the rest of the family. This helps establish a relaxed, and workmanlike atmosphere quickly so that progress can be made quickly. I spend the first few lessons establishing specific areas that need attention within the subject/s I am teaching. I am very well resourced with both text books and worksheets specifically designed for each student. I am well prepared for the new GCSE Maths syllabus and provide text books for pupils taking the 11+. I set homework by negotiation, and try to mark it before the next lesson, distance and time constraints allowing. Where possible I try to liaise with my student's teachers in school, but this can prove difficult.

Personal Description:
I am a focused tutor who is extremely passionate about my chosen subjects and I aim to instil the same passion I have in my subjects, into my students. I take satisfaction in seeing students reach their full potential and it is their success which motivates me.

Teaching Experience:

I tutor my younger sister who is preparing for her 11+ exam and I have supported my brother through his GCSEs which shows I can accommodate various age groups. During sixth form I had the role of providing Maths and Psychology support to those in younger years. Even after leaving sixth form, I was approached by students who wanted support in their A-level studies and found that their grades had significantly improved and they claimed I was able to explain concepts in a way which they could easily understand which was something they found difficult at school.
In the past year, I have tutored numerous students, all ranging in age, who can vouch that I have helped them to achieve the results they were looking for!

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is flexible in that I tailor it to meet each student's specific needs. I understand that no two students are the same and so this is reflected in my tutoring approach. I often set students questions to complete or ask them to verbally explain concepts in order to solidify their understanding in the topic and I believe this has long term benefits.

Personal Description:
I am a native Arabic language tutor with over 20 years' experience teaching Arabic from absolute beginners to GCSE level in UK Colleges. I teach adults and children in person and through Skype.

I teach Arabic (Modern / Classical) from complete beginners level, all the way to an advanced level, for both adults and children. Students learn all aspects of the language: reading, writing and speaking (general communication). I apply modern teaching techniques, which make the learning process appealing and enjoyable at each lesson.

Teaching Experience:

I have a huge wealth of experience in teaching Arabic to Adults and Children in the UK over a period of nearly 25 years. I started teaching Arabic to children privately (individually and in small groups) in the UK since 1992. I then extended my offering, by teaching adults in one of the Adult Community Colleges in the North of England. I then moved to London, and taught two courses of Arabic at Brent Adult Education Services from 1999 to 2001. During that period, I also completed my basic teaching training at Stanmore College in1999.
I then moved to Sussex and restarted in 2008 my Arabic teaching at Sussex Adult Education Services. I continue to teach there until now, as I am the only Arabic Language Tutor at college. Besides that, I kept my private teaching to adults and children, either in person or through Skype.
My wealth of experience in teaching Arabic is manifested by the following:
1) I use a wide range and varied teaching materials: books; dialogues; MP3 sound files; card games; CDs; computer games; videos; and worksheets. All of these are at different levels - from absolute beginners to advanced learners. I have created and developed some of these materials, while I have carefully selected the others to suit my teaching at different levels.
2) I plan and develop suitable materials to teach individual students, according to their abilities and understanding. I don't just follow one or two text books, or a computer program to teach the language. I create a session plan for each individual lesson, and when I teach a small group of students, I use suitable differentiation methods to cover the different needs of the students. For example, I currently teach two young children (brothers) at different ages and one of them has a disability, so my teaching materials are different to suit each of them, in order to keep both of them enjoy and benefit from the lessons.
3) Teaching students with different abilities and backgrounds, as well as disabled students. For example, I taught a partially blind adult student, as part of a large group, and then individually. She enjoyed the lessons and continued learning Arabic. My students are at different ages; different professions; different backgrounds; and with different objectives to learn Arabic. I currently teach young children under 10 years old; a teenager at GCSE level; several male and female adults (different professions); and a retired lady. This is in addition to my teaching at college.
4) I also teach at different levels. For beginners, I teach them the Arabic letters (pronunciation and writing) and communication skills in different day-to-day topics such as buying food and asking for directions. For the more advanced adult learners, I prepare them to be able to read, listen and understand the news in Arabic as well as reading stories, and debating topics. This gives them a good foundation if they want to work in Arabic speaking countries; work with NGOs where Arabic is required; and conducting business in the Arab world.
5) As a College Tutor, I have gone through several inspections / observations of my teaching. I used the feedback from these inspections to improve my teaching methods, style and materials. The feedback from my last observation session (in October 2016) was excellent, and I got the highest grade for a teaching session. The inspection report was full of positive feedback statements, such as:

"The tutor has a very high level of subject knowledge and communicated this in a calm and reassuring manner throughout. There was good rapport between the tutor and students which created a very supportive environment";

"Delivery methods were varied and included tutor presentation, use of sound files, handouts, speaking practice with the tutor, pair-work and some students using ICT resources. Tutor spoke clearly and utilised facial expression to good effect to demonstrate subtle differences in long and short vowel sounds. The pace appeared to be appropriate to all and differentiated learning activities enabled students to progress at their own pace. There were frequent opportunities for repetition. Handouts were either dual language (English / Arabic) or dual script (Arabic script / Latin alphabet script)";

"A range of assessment methods were in evidence including Q&A, quiz sheets and individual conversation between student and tutor in target language. Positive verbal feedback was given by the tutor throughout the session.
The tutor was well aware of the differing starting points of the students and the tutor had devised an excellent range of individual activities concerning Arabic to meet the needs of each learner. (One had matching cards, 2 played snakes and ladders, one had activity on iPad and one an activity on the computer.)";

"All learners were confident to speak in target language during Q and A sessions";

"Very clear differentiation was evident as the range of students was quite wide including absolute beginners alongside at least one student who had some previous knowledge to the extent that he could read/recognise written Arabic".

Tutoring Approach:

I teach at my home in Haywards heath but can also travel to the student's home in Sussex and London (travel expenses to be discussed). I also teach via Skype, and have a good experience with this method (I taught last year an IGCSE student in the Middle East, and currently teach GCSE to two young persons, all via Skype). I usually offer a free initial 10 to 15 minute trial session for assessment purposes and to make sure the student is happy with teaching via Skype.

I have a consistent record helping students gain acceptance into London's most prestigious schools through the 7+, 8+, 9+, 10+, 11+ or 13+ entrance exams, as well as routinely exceeding expectations by unlocking students potential for A* grades from Primary to GCSE level.

My belief is that the key to long term academic success is in encouraging a genuine curiosity which expands well beyond the limitations of government syllabi, paving the way for study and understanding at the highest level.

Hobbies & Interests:
Music (Singing, Guitar, Piano), Sports (Gymnastics, Football, Surfing), Drawing, Cooking, Reading.

Teaching Experience:

"My son connected with him from day one. Our son was at a very low ebb with his Maths, and Daniel stepped in and made real progress. From the first lesson, Daniel helped him to find the gaps in his knowledge and was able to get him to feel that he really understood. They worked together on anything that was challenging, and Daniel made such a difference. I think Daniel is an excellent teacher and we feel that our son has benefited enormously." - S D, mother (GCSE)

"The kids are very happy with your tutoring and so am I. They tell me that your lessons are excellent, and really building their confidence. We have put our faith in you Daniel. For the first time, our daughter has started to achieve top grades. We've also noticed other positive changes; she's a lot more sociable now too." - T K, father (GCSE and KS3)

"You've got a real talent: I can see that the you communicate with my son is really special; you get down to his level, you make friends, and you really connect." L H, father (Year 3)

"I can see that you've already made immense progress in the areas where our son is struggling. I'm really impressed with how much more easily he's working things out now. I tried and couldn't help him like you have!" - S W, father (11+)

"Daniel had a broad brief of inspiring my daughter to get excited by maths. He achieved this brilliantly with charm and enthusiasm. Daniel is inspiring, cool and effective." - T S, mother (Year 8)

"You've made it so much clearer; I thought I was never going to get this. I actually understand it all now!" - B S, student (8+)

"Daniel is full of energy and full of life. It is infectious! He can explain some very complex maths by chopping the material down into much more concise ideas. Entire double page spreads are condensed into an equation and a couple of bullet points. My daughter tells me that concepts that seemed complicated now seem easy, and that working with Daniel has saved her hours of struggling with revision. And if she's interested in a particular idea, he is fully able to expand beyond the syllabus too! He is a real genius, and the house brightens up each time with his presence!" - V N, mother (GCSE)

"I wish I could live with you so that we could have a lesson every day" - T A, student (Year 3)

"I got an offer for Westminster! I'm super happy. Thank you!" - A H, student (8+)

"Daniel has been a great tutor and a distinguished role model for my son. He has been talking about his 'smart teacher' ever since. He has the gift of teaching with fun and games. Thank you Daniel" - A O, mother (Year 1)

"You are by far our favourite tutor - and there have been many! I am so grateful to you for turning our son's maths around and giving him a true understanding of what he is doing - fantastic that you were able to achieve this." - C S, mother (Year 3)

"I can see a dramatic improvement. She's so much more focused, and her work is so much better." - K M, mother (Year 4)

"C got 3A*s so she was delighted, as were we. She did particularly well in statistics. Thank you very much for your contribution to that which boosted her confidence. Very positive feedback from us. C enjoyed her sessions with you and could quite see why you are so acclaimed." - J F, mother (GCSE)

"I showed E's teacher what she's been learning with you. She was really impressed; she says they're nowhere near that in school. E is way ahead of the class. She's doing so much better this year thanks to you Daniel." - A B, mother (11+)

"The results have been excellent. Both girls got straight As. G got a spectacular 100% in the exam! She was shocked because she didn't even think she was that good at it. Thank you for all your help." - C H, mother (7+)

"My son can't stop talking about you. He tells us all about the games you played, we can't believe he likes maths games!" - A O, mother (Year 2)

"Our son is very motivated and it's the first time I've seen him 'wanting' to do well. Very much due to your lessons!" - N W, mother (13+)

"My daughter tells me that you're a super genius - brilliant at maths, music, everything. I know that she will do well with you looking after her." - S A, father (GCSE)

"Daniel scored quite a coup when he had our son teaching his own maths class a method that the school teacher hadn't been able to teach them. Now A's whole class understands thanks to Daniel's method!" - W M, father (Year 5)

"C has come out top of the set in the majority of our assessments this term. I think her confidence is now far higher." - A A, C's school maths teacher (11+)

"We had been through countless tutors with my nephew and none of them could build up the relationship. But Daniel was different it's not easy to find a tutor of such high standard and character." - A S, uncle (Year 4)

"You were amazingly helpful to my son when you were tutoring him - you transformed his confidence in the subject and himself." - E A, mother (GCSE)

"It's so much clearer with Daniel than when we cover it in school" - A H, student (Year 7)

"My son was so excited after the lesson, telling me about your discussions with him which he found amazing." - C C, mother (Year 8)

"I was over the moon with my results. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your help" - M R, student (7+)

"Thanks to you (somehow!) my daughter managed to get A* A* in her maths, so you were right." and "Your explanations are absolutely worth it. You have rescued my daughter's confidence." - R V, mother (GCSE)

"Our son did fantastically in the maths paper that Daniel helped him with, and a high A overall. Daniel's help was marvellous. J had missed so much revision time having had flu at Easter, he would never have fitted it all in, but Daniel made everything so simple." - R M, mother (Year 6)

"Thank you again - I doubt you will get a clearer `before and after` demonstration of the impact you can have! In our view it is not just the quality of the teaching you delivered, but it is also the success in motivating our son to engage!" - M T, father (GCSE)

"Daniel was an enthusiastic and lively tutor professional in all respects. I enjoyed his sessions and, importantly, I got my A!" - R K, student (Year 8)

"We just heard yesterday that H got into Latymer! We are so delighted." - C M, mother (7+)

"Great news! G got the A! As you taught her the paper, we want to say a big thank you!" - C W, mother (GCSE)

"M got her A* in Maths so will be doing Maths A level next year. We're both thrilled and wanted to thank you again for all the help you gave her." - A D, mother (GCSE)

"Thank you for all your hard work. Our daughter set off for her penultimate A Level this morning saying she had never felt better prepared for a Maths exam and hoping that she would get the chance to show off her understanding of the subject. Going into an exam as well prepared and confident as that is certainly a great achievement!" - S H, mother (GCSE)

"I got an A in maths!" - T F, student predicted a C grade at GCSE (GCSE)

"We've had several other tutors and we just cannot find anyone as good as Daniel" - A B, mother (11+)

"May I take this opportunity to say how much G is enjoying your lessons (a real first, in terms of her Maths!) " - C P, mother (GCSE)

"My daughter moved up a maths group thanks to you you've achieved amazing results! And the best thing of all is that our daughter is enjoying her sessions with you! You've obviously formed a really strong link with her. When we were on holiday, she would keep seeing interesting things and saying "oh, Daniel would like to see this"." - C B, mother (11+)

"Well it would seem that you have been vested with some sort of guru status. Our daughter did so well on her Maths that she exceeded average and banked an A*. All of us couldn't be happier" - A M, father (GCSE)

"I actually got an A in Maths! I can't believe it! Thank you for all your help." - F C, student predicted a D grade at GCSE (GCSE)

"I like the trick you taught me for my times tables Daniel it's made me the best in my class." - C S, student (Year 2)

"Daniel has been the most understanding and considerate tutor imaginable. Our daughter has been trying to get back to school after being very unwell, and he has shown great sympathy but also positive encouragement when she has been able to study. He has worked her hard when she has been well enough but has given her easier sessions when necessary. He has been punctual, with excellent communication and well prepared to the sessions. I am hoping to use him more in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him." - C W, mother (GCSE)

"What's important is that my son really likes you, and it's great that he has a mentor that he can look up to, and who he can talk to about what he's interested in." - A O, mother (Year 9)

"Many thanks for all your help Daniel. Our son has thrived under your tuition and we are very grateful." - A V, father (Year 3)

"My son says that if only he'd had you before, it would all have been so much easier. He says you're a very good teacher." - K C, mother (GCSE)

"Thank you so much for all your help building up to the exams. Your tutorial sessions exceeded my expectations and were very helpful!" - I C, student (GCSE)

"I got the top mark in my class in Maths. I beat loads of people in the set above me too!" - T A, student (GCSE)

"Hey, Daniel we learnt about magnets in school today my teacher couldn't believe how much I knew. Some of the things I told him, he didn't even know about!" and "Hey Daniel, I got the highest mark in my class this year!" - C B, student (11+)

"I find it all really easy now, since Daniel explained it to me!" A P, student (GCSE)

"J scored third highest in the year. ALL down to you!" - C A, mother (GCSE)

"Daniel is a very popular man!" "Daniel is our prize maths tutor." "We haven't managed to make any clones of Daniel yet!" "Daniel is an exceptional tutor!" - various London tutoring agencies.

Tutoring Approach:

As a maths tutor, I animate and energise every area of study, especially those areas that a student has previously considered dull and disinteresting. I always promote the most thorough understanding and spirit of inquiry, and through the unique interests of the individual, I build long-lasting connections with the most fascinating areas of each subject, forming a firm foundation to ensure that my students are able to excel well beyond my time with them.

My goal with tutoring is to catalyse independence, not dependence as most tutors do, by showing students their own potential. I know from experience that every individual has the potential to achieve great things, and I love to help my students to strengthen their sense of self worth, and travel on a trajectory towards leaving a positive mark on the world.

I'm a young, dynamic, relatable and enthusiastic tutor that loves to teach and gets a great sense of pride from my students success. I am intuitive, patient and affable with every student, regardless of background. I always endeavour to be the best tutor I can be and provide the best results for my students.

I ONLY TEACH 1.5 HOUR SESSIONS OR LONGER:
You may think this is too long for younger students, but 75% of my students are primary school students all enjoying 1.5 hour sessions because of the 15 minute fun time at the end (see below). Hour long lessons seem to end just as you are really getting into a topic and for that reason I only teach 1.5 hour sessions or longer. From my extensive experience it is clear that 1.5+ hour sessions are much more productive, comprehensive and effective at achieving results.

15 MINUTE FUN TIME AT THE END (FOR YOUNGER STUDENTS):
With all my younger students we have 15 minutes at the end for fun time where we do together whatever they want - like drawing or a game. At a young age tutoring is seen as boring and something really not looked forward to, but the 1.5 hour session with the 15 mins at the end completely changes that as they see it as I get to make a drawing with Daniel again today etc. If the session was an hour there would no time for games as you can't teach much in 45 mins. My references say I'm great with kids and prove how these 15 minutes make all the difference by making the lessons more fun, productive and effective at achieving results.

FREE FIRST LESSON/CONSULTATION:
The relationship between the tutor and student strongly affects the effectiveness of tuition so I like to give a free introduction lesson to see if we 'click' and you like the way I teach. It's also a consultation where we discuss where your child is at and where they would like to be. The length of the free first session indicates the length of following regular paid lessons.

There's nothing to lose so help your child today!
