Personal Description:
I am a man of destiny who knows that beyond this hill lies another, the journey is never complete!! I am 22 years and just sat my final set of ACCA exams with Advanced Tax and Advanced Financial Management as options. I am looking forward to do my MSc in Risk Engineering ,to further enhance my financial management and statistical skills.
As per my previous qualifications, I have done GCSE with Maths, Add Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Statistics as major. and ALevel with Accountancy ,Economics and Mathematics.
Apart from this i have been awarded the highest scorer in my college in 2 of my ACCA exams and also bagged the title "Mental Mathematician".Also during my Alevel I was awarded CIMA Certificate which was only awarded to 10 best accountancy students in the school after going through a series of quizzes .
To sum it up , i believe life is a constant challenge and only those emerge triumphant who accept this challenge and prove their mettle.

Teaching Experience:

no teaching experience as per UK is concerned, however i have been Teaching Assistant to my Accountancy lecturer during my Alevel and helped a lot of students gain maximum grades in Mathematics and Accountancy both.

Tutoring Approach:

A thorough understanding of the syllabus and what is deemed to be examined. This will be followed by a topic to topic completion first and then atleast 5 years past papers completion. By the end of my tutoring , my student will have a sound insight of all the topics and enough knowledge to attain maximum marks and hopefully a better grade in exams.

I can tutor at GCSE, A and Higher University Levels, including courses like Calculus, Linear Algebra, Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations and Finite Mathematics.

Teaching Experience:

I have 6 years of experience teaching mathematics at University Level as well as tutoring at GCSE and University Levels. I have worked for one academic year at Dortmund University in Germany and taught at University Level.

Tutoring Approach:

I am always determining pupil's objectives and expectations before I start teaching.
During our lessons I am trying to communicate with pupil in order to be sure that they can properly understand that topic.
I believe that the only way to learn mathematics is to understand it rather than automatically trying to memorize formulas.
And finally I am always patient to the students because I think that patience is vital for successful teaching.

Personal Description:
Hello.
My name is Leonor. I am from Spain and 38 years old.

I am a teacher of Spanish and teach standard, Castilian Spanish, the official language of modern Spain. I love my profession and find teaching more a pleasure than a job. I have discovered that teaching is a two way experience where the teacher often learns as much from the students as the students learn from the teacher. For me, teaching languages is a very rewarding experience. I work with a couple of colleagues online, so we can offer more languages tuition, such as English (British English), French, German, Portuguese and Entrance Exams. All of us are native, qualified and experienced.

I am especially passionate about my native language, Spanish. I love not only the expressive beauty of the written Spanish, but the enchanting, musical sound and rhythm of spoken Spanish. The magic of the language of Cervantes is one of the reasons I have dedicated my life to the study of languages, especially Spanish.

Besides a passion for languages and linguistics, I also enjoy traveling and tracing the roots of human history and civilization. I am especially fascinated by ancient history.

Teaching Experience:

1. Bachelor Degree in Teaching English. University of Cadiz, in Spain.

2. Master Degree in Spanish Expertise. University of Leon (Castilla Leon), in Spain.

Several courses about teaching languages methods.

I am a member of ELE Congress (Spanish as a Foreign Language).

Several years of experience as a teacher of modern languages (Spanish, English and Italian) from children to adults, and all cases with really good results (available to show in case of need).

Two years of experience by teaching languages via Internet.

Tutoring Approach:

Based on the Direct Method, I use a technique of teaching a foreign languages without reference to the students native language. This method of total immersion has been proven to be the most effective means of rapidly developing real language skills. It is recognized as one of the best methods for language instruction and currently used around the world. With this method, students quickly develop the ability to think in their new language. This approach is both easy and satisfying. Student progress is quite rapid. Students progress at their own pace in a relaxed and engaging atmosphere. With my method, students will begin speaking their new foreign language from the very first lesson (guaranteed), even if they have never spoken a word of their new language before.

Tired with boring memorization? Do you find formal grammars tiresome and less than effective? COME AND TRY MY METHOD, THE DIRECT METHOD!

Personal Description:
I am 30 years old and living in the centre of Wakefield with my wife. I have an interest in sports and the environment. I studied Environmental Science with Primary School Education at Bretton Hall College and love the challenge of teaching.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching since 2004 when I qualified. I worked for 5 years at 2 schools in Barnsley. Recently I have worked at a number of Wakefield schools, gaining experience of teaching through all year groups from Lower Foundation to Year 6. I have worked in 1 to 1 situations with children preparing for SATs exams and also run intervention groups which has given me the experience of planning effectively for children at all levels of attainment and with challenging behaviour and learning needs. I have experience of running Reading Recovery sessions which help children to catch up with reading skills if they are behind.

Tutoring Approach:

I have vast experience of tutoring both in School and in the home. I run tutoring sessions that are start by recapping the work done in previous sessions, showing the child the next step and giving them the opportunity to practice the next step for themselves. I try to make the sessions fun so that the child does not get bored in the sessions and so that they look forward to the next session.

Personal Description:
My name is Ali and I'm a fourth year medical student at the University of Warwick and am on this website to both gain some funding for my course and to also help people to get into University by achieving the grades that they would like in their chosen subject.
I went to school in Warwick and at GCSE achieved 1A*, 4As, 4Bs and 1C. I then went on to take ICT up until AS level where I achieved a B and then took History, English Literature and Philosophy & Ethics to A level where I achieved ABA respectively.
I then went to University in Southampton and pursued a degree in psychology, which involved extensive statistics, essay writing and psychological theory, which I really enjoyed. This allowed me to learn not only new information, but also how to study independently. Following a 2:1 from Southampton, I worked in a hospital for people with learning disabilities, which improved my communication skills and also put me on track for my current course, which is medicine at the University of Warwick.

Teaching Experience:

While completing my degree in psychology, a group of students clubbed together and tutored each other, which helped not only with our learning, but also our teaching skills. I pursued this when I worked with adults with learning disabilities and enjoyed teaching not only basic numeracy and literacy, but also art and sport. I also worked as a tutor for introducing physical techniques to ensure the safety of both patients and stuff and teaching physical techniques also really improved my teaching style.
Part of being a medical student is passing on knowledge to others and this year I have taken part in a peer support programme. This involves memers of the second year cohort teaching the first year cohort topics including biochemistry, statistics, epidemiology and practical skills. I have loved doing this and hope to continue this next year as it not only improves my teaching skills, but cements my own knowledge and I really enjoy helping other people learn!
I also have read through many application forms for both university and postgraduate/doctorate courses and I can also offer assistance with these or personal statements for a variety of courses.

Tutoring Approach:

As a person, I am easy going, approachable and quite relaxed an I feel that this is quite similar to my tutoring style. I have a relaxed but hard working approach to tutoring, that is to say that I believe if you are relaxed and receptive to learning, then this is more conducive for learning. I will also work hard to make sure that I have the correct preparation and materials for each session that I conduct.

Since school I have studied a number of topics, which previously I had little or no knowledge about and because of this, I am extremely receptive to any question and believe that effective teaching comes from answering any questions and addressing them, rather than making people feel as if they are right or wrong. Having completed courses in counselling, I can also assist in communication skills, both verbal and written and I use this to help facilitate learning.
I also have experience of a number of different learning styles, which I have had to continually adapt for different courses and I feel that I can help others to find a learning style that can help them.
I also really genuinely enjoy watching people learn and helping to facilitate this is the main reason that I want to be a tutor and hope that I can help people achieve the grades that they want to, to set them on course for later life and further study.

Personal Description:
Bonjour! I am an enthusiastic and fully qualified French (and German) secondary school teacher with lots of experience of teaching pupils at Key Stage 3, GCSE, AS and A2 level. I believes that language learning should be fun and that every student has the ability to progress and achieve their potential with the right help.

I am an easy going and patient individual who always aims to challenge and get the most out of my students, whatever their individual levels may be. I recognise that languages do not come easily to some people so my aim is to create a secure and comfortable learning environment and a good working relationship with students so they feel comfortable making mistakes or asking questions.

Teaching Experience:

My teaching career started when I lived in France and I taught English in two French schools. I have since taught French at KS3, GCSE and A level in two secondary schools and a private school in England. Although I am a classroom teacher, I am also used to teaching students on an individual basis (e.g. one of my current GCSE groups is a one student class) and I have a number of private tutees I see at home.

I have an up to date working knowledge of GCSE and A level exams so am able to guide students about what to include in coursework, how to prepare and practice for controlled assessments and how to practise technique for final exams in listening, speaking, reading or writing. I have an excellent working knowledge of KS3 National Curriculum levels and what students should do to improve their levels.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is all about the individual tutee and ensuring I meet their personal needs, whatever they may be. From a brief initial assessment or chat with the student/parents, I will create individual lesson plans and tutoring resources for our future tutor sessions so that the student gets the most they can from every minute of my time. What we do in sessions is a two way process and constantly reviewed; I will always ask tutees at the end of sessions what they found helpful and what they didn't, so I can always work to meet their needs as our time together increases.

My tutoring style is a fun, friendly but firm approach so students build a good working relationship with me yet also knowing that I will always try to challenge them, in order for them to do their best. I'm a patient tutor who always listens to pupils' concerns or worries and tries to put them at ease as confidence is key to language learning.

Travel: Students must be able to travel to my home (very near the ring road)

Time of tutorials:
During term time - ideally on a Saturday or Sunday morning depending on my workload with other tutees and school at the time. If in doubt, please ask and I'll see if I could be flexible.

During the school holidays - greater flexibility to have tutorials more frequently each week (which is good if the student needs a more intensive approach for a particular need) and I can often do during the day Monday to Friday.

Please note, for AS level I charge £30 per hour and for A2 level, I charge £35 per hour.

Personal Description:
If you want to learn Spanish I'll be happy to help you. As a private tutor I think it's very important to offer a personalized education centered on the needs of each student or small group, and that's how I teach.
I have a Masters in teaching secondary and language education (PGCE) and a Spanish-as-a-foreign-language teacher training course at CLIC, a language academy member of the International House world organization, the title of which is recognized by the University of Barcelona.

Teaching Experience:

Right now I am a Spanish teacher at Kirklees College. I also have experience teaching in a spanish language academy (Clic International House) to different levels, ages and nationalities at short-term, long-term and private spanish courses and cultural activities. I have also experience in private tuition with all kinds of students in Spain an the UK.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that teaching spanish is much more than teaching a bunch of grammar rules, it's teaching our art, gastronomy, our understanding of life… in short, our culture.
I use a communicative approach to the language, so grammar is always in context and at the service of real communication skills.
I focus on the objectives and needs of each student or small group. In the first lesson I will give you a level test and a content negotiation where you can tell us what grammar and cultural topics you are more interested in and how you prefer to learn them. You are the protagonist of your own education!
To teach in the best possible way I use a wide range of activities that I'll prepare to fit you.

Thursday: 8pm: 9pm
Sunday: 5pm-6pm, 8pm-9pm

Tutoring Approach:

After teaching solidly since November 2012, I have been able to further develop my teaching skills. To begin, I start with revision techniques, worksheets and make new, very detailed, class/revision notes with my students. After developing a solid understanding, I begin with exam questions as I have been able to collect a solid amount of questions (exam and school questions). Every lesson, I print out worksheets and notes for my students as well as give them homework. Essentially, what I offer are school lessons that are more detailed and focused than what they receive in school. Through these methods, I am able to thoroughly assess a student's abilities, increase them and hopefully better their grades. However, I stress, students must work hard themselves to achieve good grades.

Parents often ask me about discount, I am happy to discuss this for long-term students and 2 hours lessons

School Holiday (Easter, Summer and Christmas) - 20% off two hour lessons
A Level: £60 to £48
GCSE: £50 to £40

Personal Description:
I am a PhD student at UCL, currently studying towards a doctorate in Mathematics. I have a BSc Financial Mathematics (2:1) from University of Surrey and a MSc Mathematics (distinction) from University of Sussex.

Teaching Experience:

I undertook tutoring roles at University of Sussex and I am currently tutoring a degree student in London. In addition to this I used to run a homework club at my secondary school.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that understanding is key. I will use visual representation and justification as much as possible to provide a clear understanding of why and how we use techniques. I will tailor my tutoring to the specific needs of my tutee, and my time will include a FREE consultation to see where the student is at in there studies and attempt to highlight any areas where they may feel less comfortable. I hope to inspire my tutees to see maths as a useful tool as apposed to a chore.

Personal Description:
Hello, I'm Jonathan, and am currently in my second year of a MEng undergraduate degree in Material Science and Engineering at Imperial College London. I am an approachable and dependable 19 year old with an open mind. Having been assigned a number of positions within my university and school, such as being a prefect and mentor, I have the skills and flexibility to adapt to any situation.
I have also participated in a wider range of activities, both within the STEM subjects and beyond. I was team leader of my school's Engineering Education Scheme project, where we worked with a company to create an 'Ultra Low cost UAV'. I am also an Arkwright Scholar and have completed by Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award through my local Air Cadet squadron. Outside of studies, I play rugby for the university 2nd XV, swim and I also lifeguard the local pool.

I will be available from January 2015 onwards (except on specific dates (contact me for more details))

Teaching Experience:

For two years, I tutored a boy in KS2 Mathematics, English and Verbal Reasoning every weekend to teach him key ideas in these subjects. Within school, I am a mathematics and physics prefect and so help struggling students and I was also a mentor for a younger student (Year 7), which involved supervising his studying, to improve his work ethic and grades.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in a tailored and refined approach, where the strengths of a student should be stretched and challenged beyond the core syllabus, but to also spend and dedicate more time on the harder areas where students struggle, so that they can get as much exposure to types of questions asked in the exam as possible. A proper understanding of concepts is needed before progress can be made and an alternative way of explaining ideas, from a younger mind, may help some of the ideas sink in more.
Moreover, students learn in different ways, whether it be through colors, diagrams or notes and a tailored experience should be delivered to each student to ensure that they get the teaching that suits and benefits them.

Personal Description:
I'm a professional actor/voice over artist with a BA in Journalism and MA in Acting.
I was born in Russia and have lived and trained in London for over 10 years.

Acting: I have trained to be a professional actress at a nationally accredited drama school Drama Studio London and have worked as an actor and voice over artist since graduating in 2011.

Russian Language: I am bilingual: native Russian speaker with native level of English

Teaching Experience:

I'm just starting out as a tutor.
Acting: I have trained a few students how to present better (in a corporate environment), and have constantly felt I could teach really well. I'm a good actor with clear understanding what demands drama schools have, which drama schools focus on what. I'd be an excellent tutor for aspiring actors.
Language: I've given a range of private English lessons to foreign speakers, and thought I might as well teach Russian too. I have a BA (NARIC approved, local MA) in Journalism from The State St.-Petersburg University, one of the best universities in the country. I have worked as a radio presenter and print journalist for a range of Russian media, including Marie Claire, Elle, Empire, Rolling Stone.

Tutoring Approach:

I'm very attentive and involved with my students.
Acting: This is very sensitive type of art. There is a lot of psychology involved in performing. I will not only help with preparing a speech for drama school auditions (speech clarity, projection, tension release, delivery) but also share a few tips on how to develop your acting skills.
Russian Language: I will be able to help only students who have already had certain level of Russian language training. I will help to understand how the language works, what Russian mentality is like, work on pronunciation, sentence structure, etc. I can not, I'm afraid, help beginners.
