Personal Description:
I am 23 years old and I am in my final year at The University of Manchester where I am studying French and Italian. I have spent 6 months in Bologna in Italy, working in a private language school for those wished to learn either Italian or English. I worked as a copywriter for the school website, working in French, Italian and English. I also worked as a conversation tutor to those who wanted to learn English. I am now waiting on my results for a recognised qualification, a C1 CILS exam. In the same year, I lived in Paris for four months where I worked at ELLE, the well known women's fashion magazine, where I used solely French. I am very down to earth and my biggest passion is football, I enjoy a good movie and love a good comedy. If you feel more comfortable meeting in a neutral place, a coffee place or in the town centre that is fine by me. It is flexible. A clean criminal record and can boast a detention-less education!

Teaching Experience:

I now have teaching experience and I have shadowed those who have done this for a job. I have worked voluntarily in a school teaching beginner's Italian. Having already worked as a conversation tutor in a private school, I feel I would excel in giving private lessons, given the chance.

Tutoring Approach:

I feel every student works at their own pace, however it would not take me long to work out an approach which would realise the full potential of the tutee. I am patient and I can sympathise that learning a new language or topic can be frustrating.

I completed 3 years of junior high school in China where I spent most of my time on studies. I have a strong enthusiasm in learning languages. My mother tongue is mandarin, but through my personal effort I have become accustomed in speaking english and consider it almost my native language. Personal Description:
I am an experienced language teacher and native speaker of Arabic and German and teach at school as well as giving private lessons. Teaching at all levels and using a large variety of materials, tailored to students' ages and needs, the emphasis is on enjoying the process of learning the language at the students own pace as well as working towards specific goals where appropriate.

Teaching Experience:

I teach German in school to children aged 6-10 and have given private lessons at all levels and to all ages, children, adolescents and adults, in both German and Arabic, for many years. My background is in interpreting and translation and I moved on to teaching from there. One of my long term Arabic students is now studying Arabic at university level, many of my other students have successfully completed GCSEs and A levels in both languages and/or gone on to use both languages for work or leisure purposes.

Tutoring Approach:

The emphasis is on the enjoyment of the learning process, I adapt the materials used to the individual needs of my students and everything is tailored to those needs. For children the emphasis is on learning through games, play and song, for adolescents and adults games and play may still form a part of the process. Cultural instruction and understanding goes hand in hand with the learning of the language, especially with Arabic as the culture and script are so different and present special challenges. I love my work and I try to convey a love of language to my students too.

Personal Description:
I have completed PhD in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Manchester. I offer assistance to degree students in assignments and dissertations. I also offer home tuitions for GCSE and A level students. Currently I am teaching at the University of Manchester to engineering students.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught as Lecturer at under-grad level in the department of mechanical engineering, UET Lahore for almost three years. In January 2007, I joined the department, as Lab Engineer and then promoted to the position of Lecturer after completing Master's degree in 2009. The university and the department claim top position in national ranking and also enjoy the honour of being the biggest and oldest ones in the country. My career of about two years here was full of struggle and effort for excellence in teaching and research.
In addition to that I have have given tuitions as Home Tutor to GCSE and O/A level individuals and small groups.

Tutoring Approach:

I always have the highest expectations of pupils and always have had, even when it was fashionable for learning to be more "child centred"; this is an approach I have found to pay rich dividends in terms of a pupil's academic and personal development. I have always managed to maintain friendly and relaxed environment tailored exactly to what the students requires. Above all I can offer general education and career advice when it matters the most and have observed that my students usually make fast progress towards their goals and good outputs.

Personal Description:
I am a 31 year old, London based teacher who has recently returned from living and teaching overseas. I love teaching and have the CELTA qualification, as well as six years experience. I am flexible with hours and will charge half price if you can find a friend to join you!

Teaching Experience:

Six years.

IELTS, CAE, FCE

Tutoring Approach:

I prefer not to lecture students and instead put the focus on them, using what they already know in order to help them develop understanding by themselves. In the EFL world this is known as 'guided discovery'. Experience has shown me that this is a highly effective way of learning.

I like to be as practical as possible when teaching, meaning that I always put language into context and prefer to demonstrate rather than lecture.

I am friendly and patient, but I am also serious about the job and aim to do everything possible to develop my students' ability.

I am very passionate about teaching as I believe a good player doesn't make a good teacher. I believe in breaking things down to the simplest level to give the student the best foundation possible. I teach everything from beginner to advanced, all in accordance to want the student wants mostly, then I will create an appropriate plan for he/she. Many students (myself included) have been left disappointed by the lack of passion shown by teachers in whatever subject, which is why I wanted to start teaching in the first place

Personal Description:
I am a creative fun person who has been teaching English as a foreign language for more than 10 years in Rome, Italy. I moved back to Tunbridge Wells last year and have been teaching all nationalities via Skype and in person.
I like teaching all levels and ages. I have always been a language student myself so I know how students feel and what they expect to achieve.

Teaching Experience:

In Rome, I worked for the Wall Street Institute and British School as well as teaching privately every afternoon. With Wall Street, I taught business English to company executives in groups and one-to-one. Privately, I prepared young learners for Cambridge Exams and University entrance exams.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching style is fun. I use a communicative approach to teach language in context. For this I use role plays, conversation, games, music, newspapers and magazines. I also use a traditional approach to improve grammar accuracy for students taking Cambridge Exams ( Ket, Pet,FCE, IELTS etc) I create a lot of my own teaching materials so that the content is varied, interesting and relevant to the student. When I teach children, I use music and craft to teach new vocabulary. I am very accurate testing students' levels and specialised in teaching Cambridge exams. I like to give students a small amount of homework to link lessons together and check students have understood new vocabulary and grammar when they use it without my help. I also like to use the internet to show examples of language in context. I have a fun page called My Grammar Cat on Facebook which I refer to often during lessons.

Personal Description:
I am French-Swiss, fluent in both French and English. After completing my chemistry BSc and MSc in Switzerland, I moved to the UK six years ago to study for a PhD on a chemistry subject at the University of Manchester. After graduating from my PhD, I have held two research chemist positions at the University of Manchester.

Teaching Experience:

During my PhD and research contracts I have supervised a large numbers of undergraduate and postgraduate students in chemistry. My duties as supervisor included training students to use the equipment provided, teaching them to search through literature, write scientific reports and teach them the relevant science behind their experiments.

Tutoring Approach:

Chemistry is without question one of the more difficult subjects to study, however it is one of the most rewarding. I have a large library of academic books and so have an almost endless stock of material to create problems to help drive home the foundational science behind what the student is learning.

I will tailor each lesson to the students individual needs with a high emphasis on their weakest areas.

When approaching the exam period I will generally go over many past papers in order to fully train students to get the best grade possible.

Personal Description:
I currently live in the Oxfordshire area and have just finished studying for a Masters Degree in history at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. I previously attended Kingston university where i studied for my BA in history. Throughout my time at university I have studied politics, economic, philosophy and english and would be happy and confident to tutor in all of these areas. I have extensive experience working with children of all ages, this comes not only through academic tuition, but managing and training cricket and rugby teams.

Teaching Experience:

Over the past four years I have taught over ten children all of whom have been at varying levels. This has included teaching multiple exam boards, and various subjects. I have also been working as a teacher at a home school for four children, this has involved taking the children on school trips both in the UK and other places around the world. Therefore, as part of this role I have to set lesson plans, mark work, and set homework.

Tutoring Approach:

It is important to remember each person is different and that they all learn differently therefore I ensure that I am very adaptable and flexible to the students needs. I also feel that you learn best when you find something interesting therefore I like to make sure that all lessons are interesting and that the tutee can relate to the subject/topic.
