Personal Description:
My name is Tim and I'm based in the Caerphilly area. I am happy to work anywhere in Caerphilly, Cardiff, Newport or the Valleys. I am a primary school teacher and have 24 years experience working with children within the age range 6-11.
I have worked in London and in South Wales and have taught in a range of primary schools, teaching children from many different types of background. I have a current CRB check and can provide excellent references.

Teaching Experience:

I have been a primary school teacher since 1986 and have worked across the age range from 6 to 11. I have a good deal of experience teaching children in Year 6 and preparing them for the step up to secondary school. I am able to give tuition in any primary subject but have a specialism in maths as I have been maths co-ordinator in more than one school and have an in depth knowledge of how children learn in this subject and how they can be helped to enjoy their work here and achieve good results. I also have experience of tutoring children in individual sessions and have always been able to help them to improve their standards and become more confident across the curriculum.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a very friendly tutor who has always been able to establish a good rapport with children of primary age. I am extremely patient and calm in my approach as a teacher and believe in using humour to help children relax and enjoy learning. I take into account the preferred learning style of the child and tailor all lessons to their needs. I will try to include an element of challenge in all sessions to help children build up their confidence through success on progressively more difficult tasks. I have a huge range of resources I can use to help make sessions interesting and am prepared to be flexible in terms of rates, location of sessions and times.

Personal Description:
I began studying Spanish at the age of 13. Although I had a passion for Spain and it's country since I was 9. I achieved O'level and A'level Spanish and then went on to Wolverhampton University to Study a Diploma in Languages and Business Studies in Spanish and Russian.

Teaching Experience:

I began Spanish tuition over 30 years ago. I now have my own Spanish Tuition Business where I tailor Spanish Tuition courses to suit the individual and at a pace conducive to successful learning. Two years ago I worked with the BBC on their Spanish learning programmes for key stage 3 and 4.

Tutoring Approach:

I cater for visual (learn by seeing), auditory (learn by hearing) and kinesthetic (learn by doing) learners and, in general, I find it beneficial to incorporate all of these learning approaches into a typical Spanish tuition lesson to keep it interesting and engaging.

A teacher should have the ability to identify the needs of a student and to plan and design a course pertinent to that student. A teacher should be able to recognize learning styles and adapt their teaching accordingly in order to deliver and facilitate learning. A teacher needs to assess his or her students in order to ascertain their knowledge gained and give constructive and developmental feedback. Above al, the most important quality is a student must feel free to approach the tutor with confidence and ask any question. It's easy to teach, the test is whether they have learnt. A good sense of humor is essential, no one learns when they are unhappy.

Personal Description:
I am French but have lived in Britain for years (both my children, who are in their 20's, were born here). I have also lived and worked in Spain and am fluent in the language. I then taught adults in a language school (Inlingua) in Germany, Italy and London. I came back to this country and got a job in a private school where I was the teacher in charge of Spanish. After working in this school for 21 years, I have just retired but miss the excitement of teaching.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught languages all my life, first in a Welsh comprehensive school (for 8 years), then abroad. In Spain, I taught French and English in a primary school and I then taught adults French, Spanish and English as a foreign language for Inlingua. When I returned to Britain, I taught French and Spanish to GCSE and A level in a private school. I have just retired after 21 years there and I now help a private Open University student. I enjoy teaching and would like to do more tutoring.

Tutoring Approach:

As I have a wide experience of teaching languages, I am able to use different kinds of approach to language learning and can apply the best suited one for each student. I enjoy teaching linguistially minded student as well as those who find it a challenge to learn a foreign language. Through working for a long time in the Bristish educational system, I am aware of the requirements of different GCSE and A levels examination boards. From the student's point of view, I think that learning a foreign language should be fun but also challenging and rewarding.

Personal Description:
** MONEY BACK GUARANTEE** If you are not satisfied with me as tutor after the free first lesson, I will personally compensate you in full for the fee charged on this website to get my contact details.

I am a student on an undergraduate Biomedical Science BSc degree at the University of Leeds. I first started tuition in 2012.

Teaching is my specialty, and I love teaching Biology. I`ve had experience teaching A-Level Biology to many students and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I`m determined to help other students successfully study this brilliant subject.

I`m currently offering A-Level Biology tuition to students in West Yorkshire for 10 per hour (with the first lesson free). This is affordable tuition open to people from all financial backgrounds and I do not wish to price any students out of extra educational support. I can also travel anywhere within West Yorkshire.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Kind regards,
Ahmad.

Teaching Experience:

I`ve had experience of teaching A-level Biology (including AQA and OCR) to many students. I have also been teaching students mainly between the age of 12-18 at an established educational institute in Bradford for nine months.

Tutoring Approach:

With each student, I made sure my lessons are focused and very efficient, making sure the student thoroughly understands the topic area. After this, I moved on to practicing exam style questions with each student (which is very important for a strong exam performance).

Personal Description:
I am a University graduate with a first class degree in Politics from Northumbria University. I completed a very well-received dissertation on the subject of citizenship in America. I plan on beginning a Master's degree in Political Theory at the University of Manchester in the next academic year.

While taking my A levels I was a prefect, and my duties included helping English students in years seven and eight with their work. My Politics A level was self-taught with two other students. While at University I have served on the committee of the Debating society, where aside from helping students express their ideas, the training also often involved providing concise explanations of current events and related political theories.
I have worked with the veteran's charity Forward Assist, teaching political understanding and general knowledge to veterans to help them in civilian life.

Personal Description:
I am currently a First year student of the University of Nottingham studying Finance, Accounting and Management.

I am a very enthusiastic teacher who loves to share knowledge with other people and also love learning myself.

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored both Maths and English to students in Manchester Academy, in both cases students made excellent progress.

I have also tutored all 3 sciences, Maths and English to 2 children between 2013 and 2015 as well as helping one of the students with her 11+ entrance exams.

Last year I tutored another 2 children, teaching GCSE maths and science.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe 1 to 1 teaching is the best form of teaching you can provide as the child can ask as many questions without fear and also you can work on a more personal level, compared with teaching around 30 children. I like this because I can then tailor the teaching to the child so they can learn in a way that suits them, for example, if the child learns through visuals I may draw many diagrams so explain points.

Personal Description:
I am a 19 year old prospective medical student on a gap year, thus I have a lot of spare time on my hands and would like the opportunity to improve a person's learning through a fun and interactive environment.

I am available in the weekday from anytime in the mid afternoon to evening and am also more than willing to provide support through texts. I can travel up to 10 miles.

Thanks for viewing my profile and I hope to hear from you soon! :)

Teaching Experience:

Over the years I have helped my classmates in my own spare time with hard to understand scientific and linguistic concepts and aspire to pass this on to even more students. I have also helped to teach younger students to read and explain concepts to them.

I have achieved 9 A*/A grades at GCSE and A*AA at A level in Chemistry, Biology and Spanish retrospectively. I achieved these grades through sheer hard work and being motivated by my teachers.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe a positive learning environment is so important in order to be able to achieve a student's full potential. I have loads of resources which were so useful for me throughout my academic years and would love to share these with tutees to help them achieve their full potential.

Personal Description:
I am passionate about languages and I love every aspect about the process of language learning and teaching. Growing up I was always surrounded by books. My parents' personal library was incredibly diverse and spanned many genres of fiction and factual works, while also including classics of European and World literature. Exposure to such a wide variety of authors instilled in me a fascination with communication cross-culturally - which played a great role in my decision to enrol in a language degree. Since then, the training and experience that I have gained at different universities, in both the UK and abroad, have helped me develop a range of teaching methods meeting the needs of different learners. I firmly believe that teaching allows you to impart knowledge to others while also enabling you to grow as a person yourself.

Teaching Experience:

I am a native Italian speaker and a qualified teacher of Italian with more than 7 years of experience in teaching on both undergraduate courses at university level and evening classes for adults. I am currently running a number of classes on Italian language and literature at the University of Leicester, besides teaching for the university Adult Programme 'Languages at Leicester'. In 2013 I was awarded the prestigious American teaching scholarship, the Fulbright Assistantship, to teach at Wheaton College Massachusetts (U.S.) during the academic year 2013/2014. I am currently completing a PhD in Italian Studies at the University of Leicester and I hold a Masters in 'Teaching Italian as a Second Language' from Milan's Catholic University. Prior to moving to Leicester, in 2010-2011 I worked at the University of Kent, where I completed my teaching training as requirement of my Masters. I like to keep up-to-date with the latest trends in language teaching and I attend language conferences, either as a speaker or as audience, on a regular basis.

Tutoring Approach:

I always try to combine traditional methods with more innovative approaches, tending to regard the textbook as a tool to be integrated with fresh, lively and more personalised material, using visual stimuli (commercials and videos for example) as a way of enhancing this experience. I believe that these methods play a vital role in instilling practical communicative language skills that students can then reproduce in a creative and spontaneous way. I tend to follow a Communicative Approach, where the stress is on oral communication, while interactive student-centred learning is encouraged. Based on the acknowledgement that all communication has a social purpose, this approach focuses on language as a medium of communication. The aim is to guide students towards the acquisition of a notional/functional syllabus, inclusive of both notions (meanings and concepts to communicate) and the language needed to do so. The learning environment has to be a positive one, and with my tutees I always make sure that they regard me as somebody they can trust. My students have always responded positively to my teaching, which is reflected in the Award in Excellence in Service I received from the Department of Hispanic and Italian Studies at Wheaton College (U.S.) in 2014.
