Personal Description:
I graduated from Coventry University and speak fluent Mandarin and English.

I studied broadcasting while I was in China and I worked as a presenter part-time for a radio station, as such My Chinese pronunciation is very clear and standard. I also studied some Japanese, which gave me a grasp of learning and developing a new language.

I got first class in the National Standard Chinese Level Qualification which shows I have near perfect pronunciation. Pronunciation is very important in Chinese and thus it is vital that the person who is teaching you has good pronunciation or you will pick up their mistakes too.

Teaching Experience:

When I was in China, I tutored some primary school aged students English to earn extra income. This has given me a base in teaching languages and so I have a good understanding of the differences in the languages such as grammar, word composition, and the etiquette.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is very much tailored to the students needs.
For short-time learners, I will focus on basic common expressions, useful tourists sayings and culture differences. For long-time learners I will work on everything from grammar to hand writing to allow the student to communicate naturally in in Chinese.

I am a native Russian speaker. I have pursued a full time career as a language tutor for over 15 years, teaching students from 3 to 70. I graduated in Moscow as a teacher of chemistry and biology for secondary schools. I worked for a period of two years in a school in Moscow. I came to the UK and started working for a Russian oil company in London involved in translations. In addition I worked as required as a Russian translator for the Bank of England. In 1998 I co-wrote a book called "Talk Russian" for the BBC which was used in support of a Russian language programme that they were presenting.

Teaching Experience:

I commenced working in the education sector in the UK in 1998.I was engaged as a preparatory school teacher in an independent school, where I continued to work until 2004 and was tutoring in my free time.
I became a full time Russian language tutor in August 2004 for students of all ages, children, teens, adults who need extra support and business professionals.

Tutoring Approach:

I tailor each lesson to suit the student's needs. On the first lesson I identify areas for improvement and prepare an adapted teaching schedule to provide the maximum support for learning. My continuing approach depends on the type and needs of the student that I am tutoring. I have a total open mind, when I first meet them. The method of study will vary considerably .I make sure that the students enjoy the lessons and understand each step before progressing to the next one.
For very young students I use lots of games and activities to engage them and stimulate their mind, praising them with their progress.
I also tutor young people for their GCSE, A level, IB examinations, and undergraduates. I focus on improving their confidence and question answering technique in addition to providing them with a deeper understanding of conversational skills, grammar and comprehension of each topic. Closer to their exams, I concentrate on improving question techniques and creating links across the curriculum. I can also offer tuition of intensive exam preparation. My objective is to obtain the best results from each student.
For the business professionals, they generally need to improve their conversational skills, which I feature for them, but also include elements of grammar and spelling, to ensure a total understanding. It is important to help them find the way to learn.
I have access to several resources including Skype, where I utilise as support "Scribblar" and "Blackboard Collaborate" along with many other white board conference and collaboration tools, and use them accordingly.
I am a patient tutor and try to build trust with my students, which lead to fast progress, this being the top priority. It is a pleasure to pass on my knowledge to all of my students, and for me this is one of the most rewarding experiences ever.

Take a small interview from the student to check his/her abilities.On the basis of that i will judge from where we have o start.Do the student need to start from very basis or scratch or from some point in the mid etc.I will focus on repeating the daya to day work the student has done in the class so that if he/she might need any clerification it should be fix first and for that if I have to do some background work I am wiling to do that. Unless or until the student is not satisfied or I am not sure if he understand or not the concepts get cleared or not,I will not move forward.

I received my degree from the University of Birmingham (BSc Environmental Science) in 2013 achieving a 2.1 classification. In 2014-15 I studied MSc Surveying and Land Environmental Management at the University of Exeter (Penryn campus).

I am well organised, efficient and take a friendly approach to tutoring - as well as being hard-working and easy to get along with, I am reliable and prefer my lessons to be enjoyable as well as informative. My passion for cooking, combined with another passion of mine; travel, has enabled me to spend considerable time in numerous countries giving me first hand knowledge of different languages/cultures and business environments. I am currently studying for my PGCE part-time - and working as a supply teacher in local Birmingham schools.

I have previous tutoring experience with both young people (under 18) and international students since 2011. I have been able to help my past two tutees from UKtutors to A's in Geography GCSE and A Level respectively.
I also completed a 4 week internship in a New Zealand grammar school in the summer of August/September 2012, allowing me to gain classroom experience as well as helping out more recently in a primary school in Finland, teaching English.

Meanwhile, I tutor/help out my younger brother who is 18 and studying for his A levels.

I also have my own 'proofreading' enterprise and I have helped foreign students with their conversational English skills since 2011.

I take an informal approach but also ensure that sessions are structured well and tailored for each individual students' needs so every tutee is able to get the most from the session.

I am a recently retired teacher with over 30 years combined experience in further education, independent and maintained secondary schools. I am now based in a beautiful part of Norfolk, where I paint, give private tuition and run an art club.
My own work is based on observations of mans' intervention in the landscape. I work in oils, water colour, digital photography and print.
My interests in art and design are many and varied, and include, in no particular order, sculpture/ceramics (Moore, Gormley, Perry), photography (Cartier-Bresson and LaChapelle), graphic design (Brody, Bauhaus), and painting (Freud, Klimt, Giotto, Picasso).

Teaching Experience:

My first foray into teaching was in further education as a visiting lecturer in graphic design and illustration. Subsequently, I trained as a secondary school teacher and quickly became head of my first department in a boys grammar school. From there I moved into the independent sector, continuing to work successfully as head of department and head of faculty.
I have extensive experience as a senior regional moderator for GCSE examinations in art and design with a leading examinations board, being responsible for supervising the work of a team of visiting moderators in the south east of England, and for resolving disputes with schools. I do voluntary work for the National Trust, giving occasional talks to schools on symbolism in Tudor portraits.

Tutoring Approach:

Having started my career as a graphic designer I had, by necessity, to broaden my experience and skills into other two and three-dimensional media in order to become a successful teacher. My departments had outstanding results at GCSE and A-level, and many of my students went on to study at many of the principal art institutions, including Central St Martins, Chelsea, Glasgow, Edinburgh.
Teaching is about finding the unique personality of the individual and finding ways to encourage its expression. As a Krav Maga practitioner level 4, Bartos passed the Civilian Instructor Course in Ireland under Amnon Darsa Expert Level 5 and
Tommy Blom Expert Level 4. In May 2010 Bartosz spent 10 days training Krav Maga in Israel with top Israeli experts and
Master Yanilov himself.
In June 2011 Bartosz spent 6 intensive days with over 40 Krav Maga Instructors from all around the globe participating in G CAMP
(NETANYA ISRAEL) training has been conducted by Master Eyal Yanilov and his top israeli experts.

In June 2012 Bartos flew again to Israel this time to participate in EXPERT CAMP in Netanya with Eyal Yanilov and other Expert and
Master Level Instructors.

Reliable and qualified Maths Teacher with 20+ years of experience of tutoring individuals and groups.

I care deeply about teaching and learning in general and the teaching of mathematics is a particular passion for me. I am a secondary school mathematics teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). I have completed a BSc in Accounting, an ACCA qualification and a PGCE course. I am currently studying for my MSc Education degree. I have 20+ years experience as a tutor and 10+ years as a teacher. I have also worked for an acounting firm for 5 years and worked as a company director for 7 years.

My first session is provided free of charge and I use this session to understand the needs of prospective pupils. At the end of the session, I have a frank and honest discussion with the pupil and/or their guardians. I use these conversations to listen to the concerns of the pupils and/or their guardians and present an outline of my assessment of the student's areas of strengths and weaknesses. I also suggest a course of action to help the pupil move forward.

Teaching Experience:

I have been providing tuition in mathematics for over 20 years and have been a secondary school Mathematics Teacher for over 10 years. I have tutored A Level, university, AAT, CAT, ACCA, CIMA and CIPFA students in accounting for over 10 years and have 5 years experience teaching professioanl accounting courses in private colleges. I have experience teaching to individual students, to small groups and to classes of up to 35 students. I have helped four year old pupils take their first steps in arithmetic and forty plus year old students finally understand how algebra works. In accounting I have worked with 16 year olds studying accounting for the first time for A Levels or CAT or AAT and 40+ year olds who have working in accounting for a long time and are studying for their professional exams.

I have helped students gain confidence in their own mathematical ability when they have been convinced by the academic system that they are incapable of doing well in the subject. I have also helped higher attaining students to challenge themselves and aspire to become even better. Most recently my Year 7 students were the only gold medallists in the UKMT Junior Mathematics Challenge in my secondary school. They did considerably better than all the other Year 7 students and even all the Year 8 students in the school who sat the same exam.

Tutoring Approach:

During the last two decades I have worked with many hundreds of students and have read research studies from academics around the world on the subject of attainment in mathematics. My own experience is in keeping with all the studies I have read about this topic. The overwhelming majority of students can do well in mathematics provided they have the confidence, the techniques and willingness to work hard. Even after only six to eight weeks of tuition, all the students I have tutored have improved by at least one grade or one level.

I tell all prospective pupils there is no magic bullet or shortcut. To achieve success in mathematics a few things are key: understanding the concept well; understanding when and how to apply it in different situations; lots of practice in applying it in different scenarios and short, regular revision sessions. So my only pre-conditions before I agree to work with any student are: a positive attitude; a commitment to put in the time and effort required to bring about the improvement in their grades; and at least one ninety minute session every week.

It is important to me that students should enjoy mathematics and look forward to their sessions with me. To ensure this I use a variety of different resources to explain concepts to students and am a firm believer in using physical and computer based study tools and aides to complement the standard oral and written tools used to teach mathematics. I also believe in linking the mathematics that we study to the real world to increase students' engagement with the topic and their understanding of its relevance. I am very patient and empathetic to my student's needs and once they develop in confidence I encourage all my students to challenge themselves regularly. Depending on the amount of time available, I usually help students cement their mastery of the foundations of arithmetic and algebra before moving on to establish fluency in statistics, geometry and problem solving.

I find teaching very interesting and exciting particularly because there is always something fresh to be added when opening up the world of the subject to a new person who inevitably has their own challenges as regards to their goals and current or past attainment. I like to see the connections between the language or literature being studied and the daily life of the student - to me this is the way to transmit the true importance of their studies to the student. I love to mix fun and creativity with more formal tests and drills, using variation in order that the learning does not stagnate.

After Scottish Highers and A Levels, I got into Cambridge and I graduated with a BA in English. Afterwards I did a Masters in Twentieth Century Literature at Goldsmiths, University of London before doing part of a PhD at Leeds University. Immediately folowing my academic studies I started working and volunteering in the charity sector, eventually helping to establish a new homelessness charity in Cambridge.I have been tutoring and teaching since I left university and now it is my career.
