Personal Description:
I am Talha. I am a Chartered Certified Accountant. I am a full time accountancy and finance tutor. I have been tutoring accountancy and finance courses to ACCA, AAT and University students since 2011.

Qualifications:
> ACCA - Member (London College of Accountancy)
> MSc. - International Accounting (Anglia Ruskin University)
> CA - (Part Qualified) (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan)
> Masters of Commerce (M.Comm)

Teaching Experience:

I specialise in the following: UK Taxation, Financial Accounting, Management/Cost Accounting and Financial Reporting. I have been teaching the above mentioned subject areas for last 5 years. I have also been working in an accounting firm which gives me an extra edge to show my students how theory is actually implemented in business.

Tutoring Approach:

Teaching is a passion for me. I follow a very friendly teaching style. My approach is to make sure that my students completely understand the topic before i finish the lecture. My lecturing approach is to ask as many questions as possible which relates to the topic. This gives me an idea to understand how much a student already knows about the topic and how much i need to teach him about the topic.

Personal Description:
I'm a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

I started as a trainee accountant in 1999, working for a variety of businesses and gradually gaining experience and expertise, becoming a member of the ACCA in 2008. In the last few years I have worked as an for the BBC, Lloyds TSB, Bread Youth Project, the Furniture Re-Use Network, Windmill Hill City Farm and Aster Group. Since 2010 I have also been doing freelance work for clients in commerce and the not-for-profit sector.

I have recently started teaching bookkeeping to clients whose duties include recording finance transactions but who do not have formal training in that kind of work.

Teaching Experience:

on and off since October 2010

Tutoring Approach:

Double-entry bookkeeping is a beautiful and robust way of recording financial transactions, but all-too-often it is shrouded in mystery and bristling with incomprehensible jargon. So instead of using double-entry bookkeeping, many people use columns of numbers, either on spreadsheets or in big red books, and risk making mistakes, leaving things out, and losing track of what has been paid for and what is still outstanding.

I can teach you double-entry bookkeeping if you are methodical and willing to learn -- you do not have to be a whizz at finance and you do not have to be fantastically numerate. We will proceed at your pace. Initial sessions will cover the very basics, and we will not need a computer for this, but as you progress you will reach a point at which it would be beneficial to apply your learning directly to the computerised bookkeeping system you are using or going to use in your business; if you do not have real transactions to record ("post"), we can invent some and post them using a practice set of accounts.

Learning happens best in a comfortable and un-hurried environment in which the focus is on acquiring skills and knowledge, and not on getting the accounts sorted out.

If you are interested in learning how to record finance transactions properly, please send me a message telling me a little about yourself, and what you need, and what you know about bookkeeping already (and it's perfectly OK if you don't know anything).

Hello, I am a well qualified, BA, MPhil, PGCE teacher who is looking to branch out into more private tutoring work. I have privately tutored for many years and have experience since 1996. I have taught at all key stages and enjoy my work thoroughly. Last year (2016) my A level tutees all raised their grades by at least one and have gone off to uni. Proud to add that one in particular achieved an A* in Geography A level.
Please note that my rates are based on one to one tuition. Should you wish me to tutor groups of two or more either at home or in school I am happy to do so but rates will need to be discussed prior to my commencing work.
I now have experience of working on the E Bacc and depth studies.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught to A level in History for adult ed from 1998-2006
I have taught Geography to GCSE-level and A level
History in school at KS 3 and 4 AS and A level
I can also teach basic geology and archaeology and classical studies.
Classical Civilisation to A level

Tutoring Approach:

I am always keen to engage students in whatever subject they are studying. I believe in being supportive and constructive in all that I teach. I am currently working on a one-to-one project with a student with special needs.
An excellent set of results (2015) all my 10 students passed, all raised their grade levels by at least one letter. All those off to uni are about to go so I wish them all well. Three others have a year or two left at school and have asked me to tutor them over the required time span.

Personal Description:
Hello, I am 21, live in Hull and have been playing the drums for around 5 years. I am currently studying Music Performance at university and have just finished my first year in Bristol. I have lots of experience playing live with various artists and bands. I play many styles and appreciate all music as an art. I mainly play pop, rock and metal but am well grounded in jazz, latin, reggae, drum and bass, blues, hip hop and funk.

Teaching Experience:

I have experience teaching; I started off doing it voluntarily to assist friends but the interest grew and I began getting more and more into it teaching from my home on my acoustic kit. I keep growing as a player and as a teacher.

Tutoring Approach:

I am very passionate about teaching as I believe a good player doesn't make a good teacher. I believe in breaking things down to the simplest level to give the student the best foundation possible. I teach everything from beginner to advanced, all in accordance to want the student wants mostly, then I will create an appropriate plan for he/she. Many students (myself included) have been left disappointed by the lack of passion shown by teachers in whatever subject, which is why I wanted to start teaching in the first place

Personal Description:
Qualified ESOL teacher offering one-to-one and group tuition. I teach aboard my narrowboat, called Spirited Away, in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside within 4 miles of Rugby. I'm gentle, friendly and dedicated to helping my students make rapid progress. Whether you've just moved here and want to improve your English skills or whether you're working towards an IELTS examination or British Citizenship test, I'm happy to help you.

Teaching Experience:

- Intensive teaching practice and assessment as part of the CELTA qualification at Coventry University
- 2 weeks teaching a group of 30 Chinese students in Coventry
- 9 months working in a primary school in Iringa, Tanzania as an English teacher
- One-to-one classes in Tanzania providing private tuition for local families
- One-to-one private tuition in Peru for 3 months
- 2 months in Rugby providing one-to-one tuition for an Italian student

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is methodical and careful. I'm encouraging and friendly, which helps students to gain confidence quickly. Being based on a narrowboat enables a calm, peaceful and focused environment with little noise or distraction. I don't use other languages and conduct all lessons in English as I believe this is the fastest way to learn.

Personal Description:
Hello. I am a teacher with an MA in History, an MA in Creative Writing and a degree in Politics and History. I am also a published playwright and poet. I have been teaching part time in an English department at a University for the last four years as well as working as a private tutor. Prior to that I was a writer in residence in a young offenders institution using creative writing and drama to improve the literacy, thinking and behaviour of young prisoners. In 2014 I ran writing and drama workshops in a women's prison in New Zealand. I have worked widely in youth theatre and have written a popular text book on creative writing. My drama has been produced on stage and radio in the UK, Australia and most recently the US. I've also directed for theatre, most recently at Watford Palace Theatre. As well as a teacher, I have been a youth justice worker and a careers adviser. You can find out more about my work at website and blog.

Teaching Experience:

During the last academic year (2014 - 2015) I successfully tutored a local A level History student. This academic year (2015 -2016) I have tutored A level and GCSE English and am currently tutoring two GCSE History students. For the last two years I have taught creative writing (poetry, drama, short fiction) part time at Sheffield Hallam University; from 2012-2014, poetry at Edge Hill University. I have also guest lectured in History and Criminology.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is to initially assess my student's strengths and weaknesses. Then to break the learning curve down into key objectives or units. Then to set a realistic time frame to achieve set goals. Always in mind is the objective of achieving an eventual good pass in the subject. I tutor online using skype as well as in person.
