Personal Description:
I am an experienced and skilled Tutor of French, Russian and English as a foreign language. I have been tutoring continuously for 6 years, typically working with 6 or 7 students at any one time. I have spent several years living and working abroad, so this has given me quite an international outlook. At the same time, I am quite well-travelled within the UK and have a good understanding of English history, culture and customs. As a native speaker of English, I have an excellent grasp of the English language, particularly in terms of grammar, spelling and pronunciation.

I am fair-minded, accepting of the needs of others, multi-culturally sensitive and take genuine pride in the quality of my work and going the extra mile wherever possible.

Teaching Experience:

I possess the PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) and am qualified to teach in Secondary Schools in the United Kingdom. I have four years experience of teaching English as a Foreign Language, and have taught the English as a Foreign Language curriculum at all levels, from elementary to advanced. I have taught a wide range of groups of both children, from the age of 11 upwards, and adults. I am particularly strong in teaching Business English to non-native speakers - I have redesigned and delivered an Advanced Level Business English Course for Masters Degree level students, I have worked with many private students of Business English on their premises, and have also successfully prepared students for the London Chamber of Commerce Exams in Business Communication.

I am very comfortable tutoring French up to A-Level Standard. I have myself lived in France for three years and have been educated in the French Education System up to Masters Degree level. I therefore have a very strong grasp of French language and culture which I love to share. I also actively use my French skills in my everyday employment, and am well used to interacting with French native speakers on a daily basis.

I am educated in Russian up to Bachelor's Degree level and have a similarly broad experience of practising and communicating in the Russian language, having spent five years living and working in Russian speaking countries. I am comfortable tutoring Russian up to A-Level Standard.

I have also delivered private lessons in order to prepare students for Private School entrance. I typically work with students on GCSE or A-Level preparation and have an excellent track record in delivering strong results in these areas. I have worked with family groups who were all keen to learn a foreign language together, as well as those seeking to learn for professional or business reasons, and both modes of tuition have also proved to be very rewarding for me. I prefer to build stable medium term teaching relationships, and retained one student for over 5 years, even if this meant my arriving dutifully every Saturday morning for our 9am class!

Tutoring Approach:

In a word: flexibility. I make every effort to really take on board and respond to the wishes of my clients. I am clear and proactive in communication regarding expectations and always seek to ensure mutual agreement with my students and parents as to setting realistic targets and the most appropriate learning strategies for their needs.

I am a great believer that learning should be fun and always seek to make my classes varied, challenging and stimulating, drawing upon as wide a range of learning skills and strategies as possible.

I have an excellent grasp of both spoken and written English, and am a strong believer in developing confidence in these areas through regular practice, setting realistic targets and offering plenty of praise and encouragement.

I prefer to work with individuals or smaller groups in a relaxed, purposeful atmosphere where there is plenty of tutor input or explanation as required, but also where students are given every opportunity to practise and develop newly acquired skills.

Personal Description:
Hi, everyone,The academic year is now a term old and things are ticking along nicely for almost all my students of 2016-17. Sadly two have had to drop out of school/college studies because of personal issues which is sad, when the time is right, these two very bright individuals will come back to studying, I'm sure.

I am more busy than ever this year but do have perhaps one or two spaces for students keen to just improve or to transform themselves and their fortunes. However bad things seem, I can show you how make the best of your talents.

Craig

TWO EXAM PAPER NOTICES

A couple of examination paper notices.

1. I am now OCR trained for the new AS level source/essay paper. Obviously this has given me a clear insight into how it's marked and how students need to approach it to be successful.
2. Secondly, the ED Excel Y13 A2 sources & essay paper (three secondary sources): I worked with four students on this last year and achieved spectacular results (these pupils can be contacted; some won't be able to put referees up here because I found all 4 of them via word of mouth and the UK's other major tutoring site). I'm very happy to report that I worked hard and thought hard on refining my advice on the paper and it has clearly paid off handsomely. Do contact me for details; I can pass these on to you prior to your making a decision on whether to engage me (or not as the case may be). Naturally anyone re-taking the A2 paper in 2017 can benefit from this. The new EdExcel History exam has a similar paper so this year's cohort of Y13 students should be able to benefit too.

Note. Because I'm away for the next 3 weeks carrying out research in London and Reading for my PhD I will not be able to begin lessons this year until the last week of September.

Plus:

Important policy change! If your young one or you, the student, is/are one who is not prepared to be coached and trained as our Olympic athletes are - and by this I mean that the performer puts themselves in the hands of the coach and doesn't try to tell them how to do the job - then please do not get in touch: simply pass on to another tutor somewhere else on this site.

---

And now, The Pitch!

So, my name is Craig, a very dedicated one-to-one tutor of History, Politics and English. I offer an exceptionally high level of expertise as a history, politics (and English) teacher, teacher of essay writing, exam writing and exam taking. This is based on well over two decades of experience in schools and in homes. Though I have been teaching a long time, I am continually striving to improve the quality of my work, constantly analyzing the effect of my advice on performance and trying to perfect the art and craft of the job.

When not tutoring, most of my time is spent working (hard!) as a student too! I am just about to begin the third year of my PhD, supervised by Professor Tony Collins of De Montfort University, Leicester, undertaking research in 20th century British history. (Rugby fans might like to note at this point that Tony is the number one rugby historian - of all codes - in the world. All his books are very well worth reading.)

I am exceptionally well qualified. I have an MA (2011) in History and am now two years into my doctoral studies. I have written fiction and non-fiction. I have had experience in being an A level marker with an exam board. I have had long experience in teaching and preparing whole History & Govnt. & Politics year groups for A level, producing outstanding results.

I take on all types of students. Some need a lot of training, some need to be dragged away from a collision-course with failure, some need finessing, some need waking up, some need inspiring, some need a boost in confidence; some need more intellectual stimulation; all can and do improve their writing.

My chief strengths are: 1. I know how to teach students to write. 2. I know how to prepare them for exams. 3. My methods are clear, simple and work beautifully. 4. I care very much about the progression of my students. 5. I treat my work with them with the utmost seriousness. 6. But I'm a human being with a sense of humour! 7. I am very, very experienced. 8. As a parent of three children who have gone through the school and university experience, I understand what both the student and the parent is going through.

I am very happy to work with students online. I have found it to work extremely well.

More on my current research project...
I am currently working on doctoral research into the BBC, sport and social class, 1922-64, with Tony Collins at De Montfort University, Leicester. He is the director of DMU's International Centre for Sports History & Culture, a department of world renown, and the leading British powerhouse of sports history. I am very proud to be working with Tony and within the department. Undergrad students should note that I am working under one of the world's best historians, a 3-time winner of the prestigious Aberdare Prize for Sports Books.

Becoming a student again, beginning with the masters degree course at De Montfort University in 2010 has really helped my teaching. As well as keeping on top of developments in academic history. I am much better read! I know more! It has also taken me right back in touch with what it feels like to be a student and all that follows from that. It has also enabled me to extend my tutoring potential to undergraduates and masters students.

I'm happily married with 3 children fully grown (it's only their father who's lagging behind).

Teaching Experience:

I taught for 24 years in secondary schools in Bromley, Kent and Derbyshire where I now live. History was my specialism but I was head of Politics for a number of years in the last part of my school career. I also taught Geography, Economics, English and R.E.

Since beginning to tutor students, I have taught history, Government & Politics and English (including basic literacy skills to a young person with dyslexia). Courses taught have mostly been those at GCSE and A level.

I have taught a wide range of topics within French, German, Russian and British history. The list includes the usual suspects: causes of World Wars 1 and 2, Hitler and the Third Reich, the French Revolution (and its causes) and Napoleon; also Tsarist Russia, the Russian revolution and Stalin as well as the European Reformation, France in the 16th century, Louis XIV and aspects of Irish and Chinese history and 19th century France, plus 20th century USA. politics (Boom and Bust, New Deal and Post-War Boom, and also the Witchcraft Persecution in Europe (1550-1680).

In terms of British history I am very much up to speed with all aspects of its 20th century political history (high politics, parties, electoral history, social history & economic history, right through to the 21st century, in fact); I have also taught most aspects of 19th history, social, economic and political. For the last decade and a half of my school-teaching career I taught the A level course in 16th and 17th century - The Tudors, James I, Charles I, Causes of the English Civil War, Charles II, James II & the Glorious Revolution, the reigns of William & Mary & Queen Anne.

I have recently added 19th century British politics (Reform Bill through Peel, Palmerston, Disraeli and Gladstone to Salisbury) and Witchcraft in Early Modern Europe to my "roster" of topics.

Since becoming a PhD student my expertise level in terms of content knowledge has leaped forward in 20th century British history. However...

...it isn't the historical content of the course that matters so much: technique is the key; know-how; how to write; how to take an exam; how to prepare for the whole exam period; how to approach the whole thing mentally, psychologically; how to be the best you can be; how to be successful - end of story!

I have worked with students on exam preparation and revision, coursework planning and execution and essay writing techniques. It is here that the battle to improve and to reach a fulfillment of potential, often with the reward of high grades, is usually won.

Tutoring Approach:

I don't tinker around the margins of issues. I give students something all those who come for help require: a method to use to dispose of the problems posed by the issue of writing that dreaded thing: the essay! Not a tinkering round the edges of the thing, a tip here, a bit of advice there, but a comprehensive yet simple and absolutely clear set of actions and principles through which the student can fulfill their potential: show the examiner what they know and understand of the topic.

Following on from the above, my approach to tutoring begins and ends with the drive to be successful. If I did not unfailingly improve students, help them to achieve the grades they want and need I would not be writing this.

In between comes what we might describe as philosophy and methods. It's hard to write about methods without immediately mentioning what I suppose might be my strongest "offer" (I don't much like that word but there, I've used it). As a schoolteacher I developed a unique but simple method of essay planning and writing that achieved stunning results. So successful has it been over 20 years that I am astonished that no one else seems to have found it. But in my experience up to February 2013 no teacher has. Essay writing is still something that many, many students find difficult and confusing. It really does not need to be this way.

Obviously content issues are hugely important and here I rely on my communication skills which have yet to let me down! These, naturally, go hand in hand with a knowledge of British and European history across a variety of years which has grown over recent years particularly through my MA studies, my PhD research and through working with students on a range of historical periods, topics and people. I find myself to be adaptable to different types of students. I am able to adapt my language and my technique to fit the situation. I am also somewhat stubborn in that I never give up on solving a problem. If we have to go over time, so be it!

Finally, some more of my personal philosophies of teaching. I believe that students generally do not achieve their potential. With each student I aim to take them to standards (and grades) that they did not think were possible. Without exception I push, push and push until we run out of time as we inevitably do. I also do not believe in lost causes. Much can be achieved in a very short space of time. I have seen this happen over and over again.

There is much more to be said but that, I hope, will do for now.

Craig

Hi! My name is Mark and I have lived in Belfast for 20 years. I have always loved mathematics, and loved learning more about it. I hope to pass on my enthusiasm for the subject to you and help you maximise your potential. If you're coming up to major exams, I can help you get the best grade possible for you!

Teaching Experience:

I have lectured in Queen's University for 10 years, and have been teaching others mathematics for longer. My private students have done well with my support, and I can bring the best out of you too.

Tutoring Approach:

For some people maths is easy and enjoyable - you just need help sharpening up your examination skills and revising in a new way to get a top grade.

For other people maths is a challenge - you get the general idea but need help understanding some principles, and certainly need to practice in order to get the grade you deserve.

I have worked with both types of people for years, and I can work with you! I offer one-to-one tutorial sessions, in my home or yours, backed up by email and telephone support where needed.

Personal Description:
After obtaining a masters degree in Mathematics from Queen Mary University I have been working as a maths tutor since 2011. As a result apart from familiarising myself well with the UK system and curriculum I have further developed my experience and teaching skills.
I'm very friendly and passionate with what I do. I'm enthusiastic with teaching and maths, and trying to pass this feeling to my students as well. Maths is not plainly something you have to learn but something fun you can learn. Of course we all care about grades but what counts most at the end of the day is the new mindset you have acquired, upon which you can carry on building within any discipline.
As for my tutoring method, I strive to create a well balanced relationship with pupils. I set clear targets for my students and expect them to develop throughout our sessions. I emphasize on the suitable approach for each individual in order to have the best results possible. Finally, I consider humour an essential part of my sessions as it creates a better learning environment and a more enjoyable session.
It was only last year that I attempted to expand my lessons to the online realm. I've had pupils from all over UK that were looking for the best fit of a tutor, or university students that studied in London but wanted help even when away. Thus, I have now shifted my focus to online tuition and I'm trying to provide the most suitable digital environment with the necessary learning tools and aids.

Teaching Experience:

Personal Description:
My name is Jessica and I am a 27 year old tutor from Brixton, South London. I have grown up with a great education from both schooling and tutors, and aim to keep up this high standard in my teaching. My secondary school, Heathfield Private Girls in Pinner, was a great starter for me and showed me a wide variety of effective teaching methods in all areas of education. When specialising at Woodhouse College in English, Drama, Biology and French I had some of the most inspiring and creative teachers who pushed me to a level I did not know I could achieve. As a result I had a firm foundation for my English and Drama Bachelor of the Arts at the University of Birmingham which made the course all the more enjoyable. I will be studying my Masters in October at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Teaching Experience:

My most recent pupil was retaking his A-Level drama exam during his gap year. By working together for 6 week, we managed to bring his grade up from a U to a B, allowing him the chance of a university placement. Other pupils have ranged in age and ability from first years of GCSE to children for homework help. My mother is and has always been a French teacher, so from a young age I was helping to look after and share responsibility for her classes. This included an after-school French club for children from the age of 4 to 11 years called Jeux D'Enfants and also helping organise and plan some private lessons. At College and University I tutored the younger siblings of my close friends for their 11+ and GCSE and also held weekly Shakespeare study groups for my course. I have recently decided to become a teaching assistant for a secondary school in North London and am excited to tutor once more.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TESTIMONIALS
I was more than fortunate to come across Jessica's profile back in April 2012.

From the moment I sent her my initial email, there was both an element of professionalism and caring. The amount of effort and detail she put into my 12 lesson's between April and late May was second to none.
In terms of what Jess brought to my lesson's (We looked at two play's for my written exam. Lysistrata and A Comedy of Errors) she had a lot of material on the latter having studied it at school. From character profiles to stage description's she had an extensive amount of notes, chart and diagrams as well as an understanding of the play and exam. As for lysistratta, this was a play she had never read, by my first lessons she had not only read it but had started to plan out potential lesson planners, as the weeks went by the material and effort she put into each lesson continue. During lesson's I found that she had a very cool and relaxed attitude. She's still young and has an understanding of not only the subject but also how a-levels can effect students and how to best deal with this pressure.

In the end however it's all about the result I suppose. In my last exam (Unit 4 theatre studies) I got under 20% the year before. My finale grade fell from B to D. After my lesson's with Jessica I got 78% and my grade jump back up to B. Added to my A and B in my two other subject I was accepted to the university of Southampton, something I couldn't have imagine a year prior.

Jessica had a huge part to play in this and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a tutor.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jessica has been tutoring my 14 year old son in English for the last academic term. She is an enthusiastic teacher who has really helped engage him in the subject. Her knowledge of drama is a real bonus.

My son's grades have improved noticeably this term and he is much more confident in his lessons at school. I would thoroughly recommend her.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that no one pupil is the same, so it is impossible to define a teaching method as it must be adapted to the needs of the student. From experience of being tutored myself, I know how frustrating it can be to be taught in a way that doesn't suit your thinking, so with each pupil I ask them how they learn and absorb information best. As a result I spend the first lesson going over what the pupil does not understand, and why, thus gaining an comprehension of how to explain it better. I also like to push the student to think beyond their boundaries, or the boundaries necessary to simply get the grade, as this is how exceptional thinking and a sense of achievement come about.

Personal Description:
Ben is a technically and artistically accomplished in portraiture photography and been quoted by professors at a university as a master in the studio. He love's to make the photos encapsulate you and who you want to be. Ben strives to capture the details and emotions that would go together to make your time with me an enjoyable experience.
Ben is a social person and loves to get to know the people he works for, so he can really reflect their character and what they want, so to produce the highest quality work for and give them exactly what they are after. Ben aims to spend time chatting with you in advance so that your time with me is so much more productive.
Ben grew up in West Africa where his parents worked amongst the poor coordinating small-scale development projects. This had a massive impact on his life and photographic practice affecting how he relates to the world around him. In his photographic work, he has taken a special interest in reflecting stories and voices through his images. For example, he travelled in Uganda and Thailand and used photography to be the 'voice' of the people he photographed.
Although Ben's formative years were spent in Africa he was educated in Guildford, Surrey at George Abbot School that specialised in the expressive arts. During these years, his creative flare became more apparent when he took A-levels in Fine Art, Sculpture, and Photography. He progressed onto doing a Foundation Degree in Action Photography at Truro College where he specialised in Sport, the Natural world and Social Documentary and began to prepare for a more commercial direction. Ben still maintained his roots in expressive art during the foundation degree but also developed his technical skills thoroughly. Ben had the opportunity to be the photographer for 24/7 magazines in July 2008 at the Newquay Ripcurl Surfing Festival.
In 2009, he progressed on to Plymouth University to study for his BA Hons in Photography where he achieved a 2.1 studying under Stephen Vaughan and Dr. Simon Standing. During this course, he spent time looking intricately into the how we view our bodies and others around us. He concluded the year specializing in fine art nudes and portraiture, with a project called 'The Paradox of Perfect Beauty'. This study challenges the ideologies of beauty in history, sculpture, and figurative representation and critically analyzes the standardized figures and body shape used in art as well as in modern day commercial advertising, fashion and other types of portraiture. In the final exhibition, Ben aimed to present a personal discovery of body image and consequent self-affirmation. Ben was fortunate to be able to exhibit some of his work at the D & A D-New Blood Exhibition in London in June 2010.
Many photographers say they are good but even the perfect image that ben has he can still see my own flaws in you get the highest quality with me and won't be disappointed. In this digital age, many people can snap you but ben can give you an artistic flair, which is also of superior quality. He is sure that you will want to share the photographs he produces. Don't hesitate to contact me to discover more.

I also work in a apple shop in Guildford so can teach about apple products and how to use them both in conjunction with software like photoshop or one there own.

Teaching Experience:

I have been tutoring photography from many years to all different ages and abilities from young kid's to University and Mature Learners, I started my teaching with teaching english in Thailand and working as a assistant youth worker and having to teach different subject and activities. I have furthered my experience with children running children Holiday camps over the school Holidays.

Tutoring Approach:

i have a relaxed approach to teaching trying to have an objective view to someone work but giving prods and direction where needed i lile for my students to discover the answer themselves and the satisfaction you see from them when this happens is the best part of the job every achievement is given praise and every downfall is looked at as not a failure but a part of the learning curve.

Personal Description:
I am a young, female primary school teacher in the Doncaster/Wakefield area. Aside from my enthusiasm for teaching and helping children to achieve, I am interested in academic areas including sociology and languages. I enjoy travel and reading. I have worked voluntarily as a teaching assistant and completed a degree in Sociology before training to be a teacher. I now work as a supply teacher at primary level and as a personal tutor to primary and secondary level children. I hold an enhanced DBS check dated September 2015.

Teaching Experience:

I am a qualified primary school teacher who has taught classes of all ages at primary level. As a supply teacher, I have worked in many different schools and, as such, I develop positive relationships very quickly with both children and adults. I enjoy working with individuals and small groups in academic tasks and find that children are very responsive to this lower teacher-pupil ratio. I have found that working in these situations really helps to boost children's concentration and confidence in their work. They also feel more comfortable to ask questions in areas they find difficult. When tutoring, I am to create a positive, friendly and professional relationship where children feel comfortable with what they are learning, but also feel they can ask for help when required.

Tutoring Approach:

I recognise that children learn in many different ways - some by seeing and visualising, some by talking and discussing, and some by doing a physical or mental activity. I aim to tutor children using the learning style that best suits them. In a classroom, it is often difficult to meet the needs of every child. Personal tuition provides children with valuable one-to-one time, where the focus is on them and them alone. I believe that personal tuition does much to increase achievement in those weaker areas, but also serves to challenge and develop knowledge in stronger areas. Following a free initial consultation, I provide personalised programmes of study tailored exactly to meet the needs of the child involved. I am passionate about helping children to reach their full potential and will do all I can to make this happen. Sessions take place in the child's own home and are arranged on a flexible basis with parent or guardian. I can provide tuition from 30 minutes per week to more intensive programmes consisting of several hours per week in the school holidays.

I currently have slots available on weekday evenings and am available most Saturday mornings and early afternoon. I am not available on Sundays.

Personal Description:
I am a native speaker of Russian, currently living in Manchester, university educated with years of teaching experience of Russian and English as a foreign language. I offer high quality Russian language courses via Skype and in person for foreign students of all levels.
I will help you to choose an appropriate individual educational program, and the quantity of hours per week. Whether you are a beginner, or at an intermediate or advanced level, I can offer Russian language courses suitable to you.
k.com/groups/truerussian/
Besides, I can provide a reasonable discount if you pay by a block of 5 lessons (it will cost you only 15 pounds (that is 23 dollars) per one-hour lesson by Skype or in person) via paypal though they take some minimal fees it is yet the cheapest way of payment. Or by bank transfer.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Oxana

Teaching Experience:

I am passionate about teaching. I hold 6 years of experience in teaching pre-school English (for children aged 3 to 5), English as a subject for years one to nine students, General and Business English for employees of different companies and Russian as a foreign language privately

Tutoring Approach:

I use the communicative method. The main focus is on using the language. You start speaking Russian from the very first lesson, even if you`re a beginner.
Russian grammar will be introduced to you in a clear structured format - you will see that there is an understandable logic. You will not be overloaded with grammar tasks and will learn only as much grammar as you need in order to speak and understand Russian.
If you`d like to use a book during the course, together we can choose a book that will best address your needs. At the same time, most lessons are held without the use of a book. The book would mainly be used for reference, providing structure, and homework material.
I like the idea of total immersion because we all really learn by doing, and the more you practice Russian, the more you will learn.

Personal Description:
A dependable, passionate and well mannered Biomedical Science student with experience in tutoring. I am currently in my third year of studies, being trained in a pathological laboratory at the respectable Royal Marsden Hospital. In the future, I intend to undertake a PhD in my field and pursue a profession in lecturing.

Teaching Experience:

- Worked at Numberwork'n Words tuition centre as a maths and science tutor (taught pupils of all ages, from kindergarden to GCSE)
- Worked at Kumon tuition centre
- Previously tutored a student privately in GCSE mathematics

Tutoring Approach:

Personally I believe that every child is born with the ability to become a genius. There was a time when Albert Einstein had to learn how to count, when Shakespeare had to learn the alphabet, or when Darwin had to learn what biology even is. With the right attitude and guidance, there is absolutely no reason your child could not follow the footsteps of the most influential scholars.

The first meeting will be a discussion with the student/parents about the subject areas that need the most attention. Aside from adding to the pupil's knowledge, I will try my best to apply that information, and say why it needs to be learnt. My teaching method includes numerous questions and past papers, as this will be the most appropriate way to become comfortable with exams and get the most marks.

Personal Description:
Being brought up in a family passionate about Chinese literature and culture meant that I was immersed in the classics at a young age. Throughout my childhood, I learned to value and memorize texts such as the eloquent verses of the Classic of Poetry and the Dream of the Red Chamber stirred within me a search for beauty in the literary traditions. Therefore, I was trained to be a well-read person and good writer.

After seventeen, I left China and attended the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. During undergraduate, I doubled majored in Communication and East Asian Studies. Also, I had one exchanged semester in Amsterdam and studied at Waseda University in Tokyo for a summer as well. After I graduated from college in the U.S, I decided to start a new journey in the U.K, because University College London is an ideal place for me to learn British and French art history. I love to travel, to make friends from all around the world, and to learn different languages and cultures.

In addition, during undergraduate, I interned at oral history recording organizations, such as the Shoah Foundation established by Mr. Steven Spielberg, to collect documents, translate texts and organize data. Right now, as a MA student, I am working as a part-time freelance translater and writer at the artnet News and a part-time intern at the Creative Time Media to write reports on its WeChat platform (around 300,000 followers), with each report of around 20,000-time browsing. I believe these working experiences of me are beneficial for my communication and teaching.

Having studied in China, Japan, the Netherlands, the U.S and the U.K, and having been to twenty-four countries, I am always willing to explore something new and gain more interesting experiences. I would like to be a tutor in mandarin, because I hope to know foreign friends who have passion for Chinese language and culture. As a language learner myself, I can understand the difficulty as well as the excitement to get into the field of a foreign culture. Looking forward to meeting a Chinese culture lover and enjoy this great journey of studying together!

Teaching Experience:

1. From 2011.5 to 2012.8, after I finished my college application, I worked as a tutor in my hometown Changsha to help foreigners learn mandarin.

2. In the summer of 2013, I worked as a tutor at the New Oriental Education Inc. in Changsha to help Chinese students deal with the GRE test.

3. From 2016 summer till now, I worked as a part-time freelance consultant and tutor at the New Oriental School Inc. to help high school and undergraduate students review and polish their UK and U.S colleges and graduate schools' applications.

Tutoring Approach:

1. introducing games and humor into my tutoring

2. using multi-media tools

3. assigning some homework

4. doing quizzes at the end of each class

5. We could always discuss about the style and format of tutoring, because each individual has his/her own preferred way of studying. I will adjust my teaching approaches to cater to the students' needs and reach a balance between the requirements of the tutor and tutee.
