Personal Description:
Hello,
I`ve been tutoring Mathematics at all levels since 1996. Have an outstanding record of getting students top grades. I encourage a hard work ethic and discipline.

For A'level and GSCE students, material is taught as per their exam board requires, with plently of emphasis on the importance of past paper revision.

For younger children I specialise in Vendic Mathematics, subtraction via addition, estimate and adjust, etc. As well as applying the story book method to assist a childs memory techniques.

All students are taught about goal setting principles, motivating themselves and not settling for real and achievable standards.

Teaching Experience:

Have been teaching one-to-one since 1996. Software Engineer by trade.

Tutoring Approach:

Secret to my teaching style is to deliver the subject in a manner that appeals to the student.
Using examples that are relavent to the student's interest are key to understanding.

Personal Description:
I love teaching, it has been my life's work. For me it's more than just a profession, it's a state of mind and soul, when you as a teacher and a person want to constantly grow and develop, open new doors and look into new cultures. It isn't just for self-development but for sharing with students and carrying them with you. I can help you to learn Russian with confidence, step by step, at your own pace. I'd like to share the knowledge of Russian with you and to open the door to this huge world of Russia.

Teaching Experience:

Certified language teacher with more than 25 years of teaching experience both in-person and online (have taught at schools, institutes and universities). I've worked as a senior teacher at Kazan State University, one of the oldest and biggest universities in Russia.

For a few years I've been teaching spoken and business Russian to executives at blue chip companies among which is Johnson & Johnson.

Tutoring Approach:

I have mastered a wide range of methods which affords me to be quite flexible in teaching and to make each lesson a tailored one where the main principal is to simplify things, not to complicate them. I will help you to learn, step by step, at your own pace.

My priorities are my students' confidence and convenience while studying, and their satisfaction with the final results. That's why I'm so very proud to say that my students have achieved many of their goals, whether it's just a simple trip to Russia or passing their exams, living in bilingual families, helping their companies to strengthen relations with Russia and even working and living in Russia.

I provide my students with all the necessary materials as well as offer free interactive games that they can play after lessons to increase their vocabulary.

Personal Description:
I am a recent graduate (2012) of the University of Bristol where I studied Biology and obtained a high 2.1. In addition to my degree, I have studied a wide range of subjects during my time in education, within the humanities and the sciences. The inspirational teaching that I have received is one the mains reasons for my achievement of high grades, as well as enthusiasm for my subjects. I believe I can share this enthusiasm and my knowledge and offer your child the help they require.

Teaching Experience:

Whilst at school I was part of a reading scheme where a group of 10 students visited a nearby primary school. We read to individuals on a 1 on 1 basis and helped them to develop their own reading skills. I have been recently accepted onto the TeachFirst scheme, a two-year teaching placement, which will commence in 2013. To gain the experience I will need for this and the present tutoring I am doing, I have spent a lot of time in my old secondary school shadowing teachers and siting in on classes. I have also been coaching hockey at my local club since I was 16, which has allowed me to develop my communication skills.

Tutoring Approach:

In my opinion, a great tutor is not only one that can engage and animate their pupils, but can also adapt their teaching style to meet the needs of the individual. I hope that not only will I give your child the support they require, but he/she will also enjoy the teaching process.

Personal Description:
Hi, my name is Mitul. I teach Mathematics on a one-to-one basis to students at different levels. I have a BSc in Mathematics from Imperial College, London and an MSc in Financial Mathematics from the University of Warwick.

Teaching Experience:

I have over five years of private tutoring experience in Maths.

Tutoring Approach:

I aim to establish what the student knows and needs during the sessions, building upon their existing knowledge and closing gaps. My approach typically involves working with pupils on their weaker topics, giving them confidence to work progressively through text book questions and then past papers. I try to break problems down into manageable chunks and explain those parts that do not make sense in more detail, using my communication skills to pass on my subject knowledge.

An integral part of the sessions and the student progression is the completion of weekly homework. Whilst I may not ask for specific questions or exercises to be completed each week, feedback from the follow-up work is crucial in ensuring that progress is continually being made.

Personal Description:
I am a native Italian speaker, confident, enthusiastic and passionate about teaching. I have attended the TT 4 in Preparing to Teach in Lifelong Sector (PTTLS) and the diploma 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce. I also graduated in Arts (Italian Modern Studies) and completed my MA in Italian Language and Literature in 2008 at Pisa University.
By teaching in different countries, environments and working with people of all ages, I have acquired a board experience, which allows me to identify and address learners' needs and plan in order to get the best outcomes for them. Through the way I teach, I hope to show and motivate the students to learn and understand the history and the culture of my country because learning a foreign language is not just imparting rules of grammar.

Teaching Experience:

My teaching experiences include working as key worker in the nursery and teaching Italian language for foreign adults and children in London. In Italy, for two years, I worked for an organisation which specialized in helping migrants (aged 17 to 50) to learn the language and as a personal tutor for a secondary school girl with dyslexia. I have also taught a variety of subjects (including Italian language, literature, history and Maths) to Primary, GCSE and A-level students for about 10 years.

Tutoring Approach:

Through my studies and experiences, I acquired a widen knowledge of contemporary teaching methods and approaches which contribute to plan, organise and deliver high standard lessons according to learner's level.
At the beginning, I usually carry out an assessment (oral and written) for ascertaining student's knowledge of the language and learning style. Then, I plan each lesson in advance and according to the student's needs. I always prepare handouts, worksheets or quizzes that help student to memorise the concepts and me to check her/his progress. I like to use different kinds of resources in order to create a more interactive and motivating lesson every time.

Personal Description:
SAXOPHONE-I am an experienced saxophonist. Currently I play both alto and baritone saxophone. I have taught young pupils at my old school before for free, but now that i have gained enough experience, not just as a teacher but at a very high level in bands too, I am starting to tutor. I teach many different styles, have it be jazz, pop or classical. I offer tuition for students of all ages. Whether you are young and just starting out or older and wish to try something new/different for fun and want some guidance in the right direction, I am here to help. I teach for those at a amateur and beginner level. Music is a great passion of mine and I really enjoy teaching others something so great.

MATHS- I am a higher level maths student and i have an A grade at GCSE level maths. During my free periods i spend time helping lower school student who are struggling with their maths for free because i really enjoy teaching. I teach everything from key stage 1,2 and 3 maths to foundation GCSE students. Maths has always been a great ability of mine and I mainly teach it because I have a love for it and in my experience those who i have taught have found me very helpful.

Teaching Experience:

SAXOPHONE- I have taught young pupils at my old school before for free to gain some experience in teaching. I also play at a high level in the Hillingdon Music Service concert band and Sax Group, as well as in multiple Jazz and Big Bands.I have been on tour to France with the Music Service as well and have played for weddings too. I now have a good level of experience in both playing and teaching.

MATHS- I have been teaching GCSE and lower level maths for a few years now. I was part of a team who a few years ago went to the UK maths challenge representing my region of London. I enjoy teaching maths and in my experience those who i have taught have found me very useful.

Tutoring Approach:

I find that bringing out the passion in the student is what counts, so for music the genre they enjoy most and helping them fall in love with music that way. With maths i believe having a strategic plan of getting a topic or part of maths that the student is struggling with and keeping at it and doing questions and going through the solutions with them until they understand. I understand that many people struggle with maths or may not like it but i find that someone younger (such as myself) teaching them makes it a lot easier on them. Another good way i find with maths is going through questions and helping them understand how to get to the answer rather than just giving the answer and moving on with a simple tick or cross.

Personal Description:
I am an enthusiastic, supportive and adaptable tutor with more than 5 years teaching experience.

After graduating with a Masters Degree in Drama and Theatre Studies I moved to South Korea to teach. I take great joy in teaching and have a great interest in many subjects and being able to instil a joy of learning in those I teach.

I understand the power of one to one tutoring in helping students succeed; whether in a subject they excel at or in areas they would like to improve. I am happy to tutor school-age pupils to help with their classroom work, as well as helping with exam preparation for GCSE's

Teaching Experience:

I have five years teaching experience; three and a half years teaching experience in South Korea and 18 months tutoring in the UK. In Korea I specialised in English, maths and science to students aged 5-16. I have taught in classrooms with 30+ students as well as in smaller groups and one to one tutoring. Since returning to the UK I have been tutoring one on one with a number of clients since September 2014 focussing on the core subjects of English, Maths and Science. I have both classroom and tutoring experience with students from primary to GCSE level and can tailor approaches and focus to match students' needs. I have experience working with students of varying levels and have consistently been able to help them to achieve their goals, with a strong set of results in the 2015 GCSE exams period.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe it's important to teach in an engaging and interesting way, getting to know my students so I am able to tailor lessons to suit them. I try to make the material I teach relevant to the student and approach the subject in a way that makes it accessible and relatable to them, and the things they enjoy. I think it is important to work through subject areas students are having difficulty with and then build on this to engage them fully in the subject, enabling students to understand the key concepts as well as the more universal approaches to learning.

I believe it is important to instil an interest in learning and try to approach the material I teach from a variety of different ways to ensure comprehension. Having access to a tutor should enable the student to improve their confidence and realise their own potential.

I have taught for almost one year and have had a wealth of diverse students all at different abilities and ages. I have taught beginners, intermediates and advanced level guitarists, and have made a huge difference when the student is preparing for a performance examination.

Personal Description:
I like helping people improve their maths and Spanish skills.

I enjoy maths, it can be a fun subject to learn (yes really!). I find interesting and fun ways to explain how maths works and then get the pupil to work through questions and problems until they know each step very well.

I specialise in teaching maths at A level and first year university level. I also teach GCSE level.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching either one-to-one, or small groups of students for the last 5 years. While I lived in Spain I would teach English to children and adults, as well as teaching A level and University level maths to Spanish students through the medium of Spanish. In the last year I have also started teaching Spanish here in the UK, always trying to pass on my enthusiasm for languages to my students.

Tutoring Approach:

I make the lessons as interesting and as fun as possible, as well as making sure my pupils are good enough at each step before they move on.

Personal Description:
My name is Rosie and I am a Illustration graduate from Camberwell College of Art. I studied for 3 years mainly concentrating my time on painting, drawing and photography. I also studied my art foundation at Wimbledon College of Art. I can teach students using a number of materials including: acrylic, watercolour, gouache, oils, pencil, pen, print making and pastels. (Please enquire for any other requests). I can teach up to GCSE level and how to create the correct structure.
I am fun, open minded and have a very understanding approach to teaching. I am very experienced and have been creating art work for the majority of my life. I like to use paints and can teach blending and how to create texture. Along with technical drawing and portraiture.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching in an art gallery on Portobello Road for the past two years, the classes were either individual or in larger groups. I taught a few different lessons which included: spray painting and acrylic painting.
I am used to teaching a variety of ages but can work very well with children.
I was also teaching art classes at an arts community centre in which I would teach group classes, these classes were slightly looser and students were more open to using different materials and different subject matter.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching style consists of allowing the student to learn from their mistakes, whilst giving guidance along the way. The structure I use is dependent on what the student would like to learn. Then from this knowledge, I can create lesson plans around this subject.
I am very patient, and realise that every student has a different learning style and approach, so will always try and fit these needs.

I like to use a range of materials with the student to experiment with new techniques and create exciting ideas.
But please enquire if there is any particular technique and material you would like to work with.
I can also teach a wide range of ages!

Personal Description:
I'm currently a student studying Economics at the University of Birmingham, averaging a first level qualification. I am interested in sharing some of the things I have learnt over my years in education with others, which is why I'm keen to tutor. I have previously mentored students throughout secondary school and really enjoyed it. Apart from university my other interests include; playing sport with the University Korfball team, coaching the Economics netball team, wining and dining as I'm a huge fan of food and I also play in the University Symphony orchestra. This summer I was an intern for PwC in their audit team.

Teaching Experience:

I have previously mentored students through their GCSEs and Alevels at secondary school and really enjoyed it. I am the coach of a netball team so this also gives me skills which help to make me a better tutor such as patience, organisation and effective communication skills.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe tutoring is the responsibility of both the tutor and the tutee. I would like to plan sessions which are stimulating, engaging and involve ideas bouncing between the two of us, whether that is through debate, discussions or question and answer sessions. I am also open minded so would be prepared to experiment a lot with teaching style. I would be happy to take suggestions about how you'd like me to tutor you so we can establish an approach that works for both parties.

I'm curently a University Student studying Engineering in Liverpool, originally I'm from Ireland, I have A-levels in Maths, Physics and Chemistry and I also have self taught myself Music from an early age.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught my friends how to play their intruments during summers which I found very rewarding and fun, I also have taught my little siblings throughout the year with maths and science and although it was hard work it was nice to see the result the worked so hard to get.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that when tutoring to take a fun approach, teaching in schools kills creativity and children are born creative I believe when tutoring to try and nurture that creativity be it in maths where I can show how it would work in the real world, or physics where I can set up fun experiments or music where I can show how that would work when playing in a band or at a gig

Personal Description:
Hello, I'm Steph. I'm a native German and have lived in the UK for the last 13 years. I have a First-Class Degree in International Management (a university course which combines Foreign Languages and Business Studies) from the Hochschule Bremen in Germany and Westminster University in London. I am a mum to two young girls and I worked in marketing for several years before I had my children.
I have a passion for languages and speak four languages including my native German. I love different cultures and have travelled the world extensively.

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored a wide range of age groups and language skills in Germany and the UK. I have extensive personal experience learning foreign languages having studied three languages at school and have continued to do so during my university studies and recently taking part in an adult learning class to refresh my Spanish. I understand that different people benefit from different teaching methods and that having fun while learning is beneficial to the learning process.

Tutoring Approach:

My style is relaxed and friendly. My aim is to focus on the student's needs and to make language learning an enjoyable experience. I adapt my teaching style to the age and interest of the learner, and to the needs and purpose of the learning. I can focus on conversational German only if that's your priority or go through all the elements from grammar training, reading, writing to listening and speaking.
I teach the German language across all levels.
