Personal Description:
I am a young, dynamic Cambridge CELTA qualified teacher with a real passion for the English language. My greatest pleasure is to meet students from all over the world!

I love the challenge that each new student brings, knowing that each person has individual learning requirements and needs a unique approach to facilitating their language acquisition.

My hobbies include languages (I studied French at university), travel, literature, and education.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching English for over 4 years. I started by teaching my friends whilst living in France, helping them with their university assignments and preparation for TOEFL exams and presentations. In 2014 I became professionally qualified when I achieved Cambridge CELTA certification.

Since then I have taught Brazilian students from impoverished areas of Rio de Janeiro online, working for the Sequoia Foundation. I currently work for a French company, teaching English online to French-speakers (from France, as well as from many African and Caribbean countries). Working for a Hong Kong based company, I also teach a student from Spain. Further to this I also work for a Japanese company, offering 1-1 Skype lessons.

In summer of 2015 I taught monolingual classes of Italian speakers at Birmingham City University (working for a company called International Quest). My most recent teaching experience also involves an Italian student: I provide 1-1 business English lessons (face-to-face) at Deutsche Bank in Birmingham.

My students have been very varied. The youngest are currently around age 6 and the oldest have been retired casual learners (aged 60+). I have taught levels ranging from entry level (A1 and below) to advanced (C1-C2). My students are from a variety of backgrounds: schoolchildren; high school students; university students ; business professionals; casual learners.

Tutoring Approach:

I love to meet new students from all over the world and enjoy working with all levels. Each student has different needs, so I make sure our lessons reflect this. For example, one student may wish to focus on grammar and reading, whereas another might need to work on speaking and phonology.

I use materials such as the Cambridge Empower series for adolescent and adult learners, as I believe it provides a fantastic springboard for learning. For students wishing to focus on business English, I also make use of the Collins Business English range.

I also have many other resources at my disposal that can be adapted to suit each individual student's needs. For example, many students also find it beneficial to analyse newspaper articles, and I am also happy to work with students on any documents they bring to class.

Personal Description:
I have two children, one is now graduated university and the second is in their final year.

When I have free time, I like to go to the cinema and play badminton. I also like travelling and discovering different parts of the world.

Teaching Experience:

I have more than twelve years experience of teaching which spans nursery, foundation, primary and 11-19.

I am presently second in charge in science at a secondary school and I teach chemistry, biology and physics across KS3 and KS4.

I have passed a Chemistry postgraduate course. This has improved my subject knowledge to be able to teach chemistry to 'A' level. I also can teach biology to 'A' level.

Tutoring Approach:

Before I begin to tutor, I will assess what level you are currently working at. I will also speak to you in depth about what you do and do not understand about a topic.

I will then take you through the topic at a pace that you feel comfortable at. You will be set homework to test your understanding. In preparation for exams, you will be given ideas for revision that will help your style in learning and pass papers to prepare for exam format.

Your contribution to what you need is important and you are invited to express what help and topics you feel you need to cover. As a tutor I am here to help you succeed.

Personal Description:
SUMMER OFFER: first lesson free, second lesson half price, third lesson one-third off, fourth lesson one-quarter off, fifth and sixth lessons normal prices (terms and conditions apply).

As a student, little came easy for me.

I learned the hard way.

Now, with over 20 years of teaching experience in a variety of institutions - from Oxbridge entrance to comprehensives on 'Special Measures' - I am young enough to remember my struggles and old enough to know better.

I know how to bridge that gap for my tutees.

Teaching Experience:

This is my eighth year as a full-time tutor, but I was a secondary school teacher for 19 years before that.

I have experienced many types of academic performance from high-performing grammar schools to comprehensives on 'special measures'. I have held a variety of positions of responsibility within schools, particularly in the pastoral system such as Head of Year. I have been a grade-A examiner for AQA GCSE Geography.

During the last eight years of 11 Plus entrance 15 out of my 25 students have passed. I have also successfully helped one parent and child through the appeals procedure for grammar selection. Furthermore, a 12 Plus tutee in 2011 was the only girl to pass and get a place at South Wilts. Three out of five 12+ and 13+ tutees I have taught have passed their exams.

I have taught numerous syllabi: in the last six years I have tutored AQA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC at A level Geography. Indeed, I taught the whole of the A2 Edexcel Geogaphy syllabus online to one a tutee in Moscow: he has now gained a place at Aston University. I have mainly tutored the AQA and Edexcel syllabi for GCSE Maths. It would be fair to say that the overwhelming majority of my A level tutees experience significant gains and regularly obtain A or B grades.

At the moment (March 2015) I have 20 tutees in total: this includes 4 home-school tutees doing a variety of subjects such as GCSE Maths and Geography as well as Key Stage 3 Maths, English, History, Geography, Citizenship and RE; three GCSE English tutees; one Key Stage 3 Maths tutee; two Key Stage 3 English tutees; three 12 Plus tutees; five Key Stage 2 Maths tutees; two GCSE Maths tutee; one KS5 numeracy tutee, one A Level Geography tutee and, finally, three GCSE Geography tutees.

I would say on average, across the year, I would have between 15 and 20 tutees each week. Nearer exam time, this can creep up to 25.

Tutoring Approach:

One size does not fit all . . .

Tutoring and learning should be natural and intuitive so that tutees can 'fly' by themselves.

To make the most of tuition, a tutee must be 'on-board'. If it's their idea - even better. A tutee that is in-charge of their own learning makes an excellent pupil.

As a tutor, I decide what is right for the tutee - not an institution. Parents often want someone who is familiar with the education system but independent enough to give an honest assessment. My main concern is the welfare of the tutee - not just their academic progress - nor the reputation of some teacher or institution. If something is not right for a tutee, no matter how forceful a parent might be or how much money I might lose, I simply will not do it. Each year there are a handful of tutees I turn away because of this.

In the first session I will try to identify what it is the tutee needs, and you may wish to quiz me in more detail. I will need access to school reports and examples of the tutee's work. Through discussion with my tutee and parental input it should become clear the reason for the tutoring.

From this 'snag' list, I will design a bespoke program to meet the educational needs of the tutee. It is flexible and, unlike a classroom situation, I can respond immediately to the needs of the tutee.

Homework will always be set, depending upon the demands placed upon the tutee by the normal school week. The tutee will be far more involved with learning than in a normal school class where they can 'hide', so prospective tutees need to expect plenty of chat and discussion, reviewing work and giving feedback.

For learning to be 'on the wing', to be natural and instinctive, tutees need to work hard without feeling the burden. This can only happen through enjoyment and a lot of laughter. That's my part: helping tutees to work really hard without realising it.

If at any point I feel unable to help, I won't just prolong tuition, or if our work has met its aims then I will call a halt. The point of tuition is not to need me anymore, so they can 'fly' all by themselves.

I offer two types of 'remote' tuition options at the moment:

i/ ONLINE FACE-TO-FACE TUITION: face-to-face on Skype is very good in dealing with syllabus issues and reinforcing and filling in the holes the class teachers leave behind. Face-to-face tuition lends itself well to visual resources such as diagrams, maps and pictures. It is primarily discussion-based and the tutee needs to take notes as we go along. I regularly send tutees files to prepare them for the lesson and to discuss in the lesson. If a tutee comes to face-to-face tuition and expects to be spoon-fed or entertained, it just won't work. Extra work can be set to test their written understanding. Usually, it is enough to go through topics the student struggles with. Once they 'click' with the topic/issue, we move onto other areas. Payment for this type of tuition is a flat fee each week to cover lesson preparation and the lesson itself. The marking of substantial pieces of work outside of lesson time such as essays will incur a modest marking fee.

ii/ CORRESPONDENCE-STYLE WITH UNLIMITED EMAIL SUPPORT: work is set through powerpoints, pdf files and word documents for the student to do on their own in their own time. This should keep the tutee occupied for between 1-3 hours each week, unless more is required. It is then returned to me within the week. I mark it and provide feedback in the form of an audio file (up to 30 mins), talking them through the various issues. Any amounts of email conversations to help the student with this particular piece of work are allowed, after feedback has been given. This is very much an ongoing and open-ended commitment, once work has been set and feedback given, and the student is totally free to contact me with any issues. As a result, the payment structure is open-ended and depends on the amount of time used to prepare resources, mark and give audio feedback. This is added up at the end of each week, and the client is then billed. Follow-up emails and support are not timed but are considered as a 'free' part. Generally, this time will be from about 45-90 mins per week. I keep a track of the time minute to minute and endeavour to keep the time used as short as possible while setting about 1-3 hours of work. This is very much a trust system of working. I tailor the work individually to suit the student as opposed to an ordinary correspondence course that just covers syllabus content.

Please be aware that I do charge for travelling over 30 miles (roundtrip: 15 miles each way):
30-40 mile roundtrip - £5
41-50 mile roundtrip - £10
51-60 mile roundtrip - £15
61-70 mile roundtrip - £20

Personal Description:
I am a teacher of exceptional qualifications and experience, acquired in both Bulgaria and the UK. My 5-year MA degree (English Philology, comprising of English and American Studies, Applied Linguistics and Theory and Practice of Translation, Grade 2:1) has provided me with a thorough and solid theoretical basis in all aspects of English. It includes a teaching qualification up to Level 7/8, validated as a full UK QTS by the GTC for England. I have also completed a second degree (with 1st class Hon.) and obtained a Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults.

I am qualified and experienced to teach pupils from primary school to university (post-graduate) level as following:

- 11+ EXTRANCE EXAM FOR GRAMMAR AND INDEPENDENT SCHOOL EXAM PREPARATION - READING COMPREHENSION, MATHEMATICS, VERBAL REASONING AND NON-VERBAL REASONING, ESSAY COMPOSITION AND LITERARY TEXT ANALYSIS - FROM AGE 7+
- primary school: English, Maths, basic literacy and numeracy skills - KS1 and 2 Maths and English
- secondary school: English Language, English Literature, GCSE English Language and Literature, KS3 and 4
- A-level English Language and Literature - KS 5
- ESOL - all levels
- Citizenship - Life in the UK test
- IELTS - all levels
- English for Academic Purposes and proofreading FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS (academic writing skills, essays, reports, dissertations, projects) - undergraduates and post-graduates
- proofreading of academic assignments (essays, reports, dissertations, projects) - foundation, undergraduates and post-graduates
- help with writing academic assignments (essays, reports, dissertations, projects) - foundation, undergraduates and post-graduates
- Bulgarian language - all levels
- Russian language - basic level

Teaching Experience:

I have been employed as a PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHER (ENGLISH), 11+ GRAMMAR SCHOOL EXAMS TUTOR AND ASSESSOR, MATHS TUTOR (PRIMARY SCHOOL, KS 1 AND 2), EAP, Business, IELTS, ESOL and English Language and Literature teacher and have worked at universities, colleges and schools across two countries. My experience teaching at four universities, and supporting children in schools and adults has helped me become an exceptionally versatile teacher.

I HAVE A VERY FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING APPROACH, SHOWING UNDERSTANDING TO EACH STUDENT'S INDIVIDUAL NEEDS AND PREFERENCES AND TRY TO PERSONALISE LEARNING AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. STUDENTS WARM TO ME QUICKLY AND ESTABLISH A GOOD RAPPORT FOR EFFECTIVE COOPERATION.

I have a proven record of tutoring students for a successful performance at the 11+ ENTRANCE EXAMINATION AND SUCCESSFUL ADMISSION AT GRAMMAR OR INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS.

All my primary school tutees have achieved their individual targets (whether improving basic literacy skills, or advancing in their level of reading or writing). The same success has been achieved in Mathematics.

My GCSE and A-level English pupils achieved 100% A-grades in their exams (both English Language and Literature).

I have tutored successfully for the Citizenship/Life in the UK test. I have the latest information of the test changes (from 2014). All my tutees have passed the Life in the UK test.

With university students I have expertise teaching the following academic skills:

• structuring academic essays, implementing skills of cohesion and coherence and using the appropriate subject-related style
• paraphrasing and summarising texts and applying correct grammar and suitable register in writing
• using quotations and in-text citations and referencing them accordingly
• delivering a presentation on a subject-specific topic, using Microsoft Powerpoint for effect
• demonstrating understanding of key concepts and inferring the meaning of unfamiliar words from the context
• developing speaking and seminar skills, useful for active participation in discussions and debates in the classroom and outside
• interpreting numerical, statistical and financial data orally and in writing
• demonstrating a clear understanding of what constitutes plagiarism and how to use the Harvard Referencing system for citation and the production of Reference Lists

At the academic skills pre-sessional courses at the University of Birmingham in 2012-2016 I gained even deeper experience supporting individual students with writing within very constrained time-limits. I guided all to success at their final assessments. I have had very positive feedback and comments of appreciation.

I have taught in various set-ups - whole class, pair work, group work, or one-to-one sessions. I am deeply interested in each student's individual learning needs and progress and one of my major strengths is differentiation. I sometimes prepare material at 4 levels of differentiation for a single class or small group. I use supportive strategies to boost students' confidence, at the same time challenging learners to achieve beyond their own expectations. I approach intense 1-to-1 sessions with the appropriate dynamics.

I am prepared to go beyond my 'job description' duties to help students with 'special needs'. I am interested in their individual circumstances and take them into account, where appropriate. I prepare resources to address their personal needs and interests. I review their progress and involve them in self-assessment towards autonomy of learning. I am familiar with the 'Assessment for Learning' policy and competent with implementing it widely.

I have worked successfully with students with dyslexia. At secondary school, one of my 'high-ability' dyslexic students scored an 'A' grade at her English GCSE, while another participated in a poetry competition. I have had success teaching students with autism and Asperger's as well.

I invest all of myself in my teaching. I am a highly trusted professional and have an exceptional rapport with my students. I am often quoted as a preferred tutor, who 'has the best way of explaining things' and 'is very patient, friendly and cheerful'. All students of mine - regardless whether at school, college or university - progressed by at least one level (even at short-term courses). A student with a debilitating illness on the BME, predicted to fail the course, not only passed it under my guidance, but achieved grades higher than his required level. In my 15-year teaching career I have never failed a student. I have achieved outstanding results at OFSTED observations. My latest annual lesson observation at BMETC was graded 'OUTSTANDING' and so was my performance at NAVITAS earlier this year. Another observation at BCU was unofficially deemed as 'the best on the course'. I have been invited to share exceptional ideas at training events and have also participated in numerous training activities at schools, colleges and universities. I often opt to peer-observe colleagues, to learn from their teaching styles.

Some more examples from my practice: a class of illiterate Yemeni housewives at BMETC, 2011, achieved a 100% pass at their ESOL exams, while 'advanced' international students at the BME, 2012 achieved some of the highest grades on the course. I have been successful dealing with pupils with behavioural problems at Harborne Hill School. Many reported an increasingly positive attitude to learning. I am a creative teacher and try to interest and enthuse students, so that they enjoy learning and celebrate their achievements.

Tutoring Approach:

First I negotiate the times and modes of tutoring with the parents of my potential pupil and agree on fees.
Then I organise a free initial meeting with the pupil and their parents, where I try to establish raport with the pupil. It is important, especially for children, to 'get a feel' of the new tutor and see if they can feel comfortable with her.
Then I try to access as much information as possible from the parents and the child about their progress at school and their attitude to school. If possible, I wish to see samples of the child's school work, or hear anything teachers have said/written about their progress.
During the first lesson I conduct an informal assessment of the pupil's skills - give them a piece of text to read, or free writing or short composition, or a selection of Maths problems to solve. When I get a clear picture of where my pupil stands with a certain skill, I create a short-term plan of work with them. I normally bring materials with me and do not ask parents to buy additional materials. If the parent wishes me to follow a certain self- help book, I am happy to oblige.
I update parents regularly of their child's progress - I try to do it after every lesson. I normally leave homework, designed to consolidate the material covered in the lesson, or develop their skills further. I wish parents to be involved as much as possible with helping or monitoring the completion of the homework.
I try to show my pupils as much respect as possible and affirm them as individuals. I acknowledge their birthdays, Christmas, or other family celebrations.
The parents can terminate the service at any time, with only one week notice.
I OFFER LESSONS VIA SKYPE AS WELL.

Personal Description:
My name is Gordon age 49 I am certified in Computer Applications and Networks (CAN). Self taught casual programmer of 20 years. I currently offer tutoring services online via Internet-using text E-Mail, Video E-Mail and **Contact Detail Removed**. I can tutor anyone at my local public library.

Teaching Experience:

My portfolio includes my own self published training materials on PC CD-ROM. recently completed a KIOSK program last year. I currently publish my own training materials on PC CD-ROM as part of my tutoring package. I can introduce, and tutor several software packages help you develop your own applications in a very short time. Student should be computer literate and have the background knowledge of the subject matter they are writing. For example, if you are writing a PC CD-ROM driving course are you a driving instructor/Training Provider?

Software packages I tutor can include:

Building executable files
HTML WYSIWYG
Web Browser Plug-Ins
Flip Book Documents
Introduction to computer Games
Creating CD Graphic Arts
I can work:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday nights online as a guide rates of pay are 10 per hour minimum. Rates of pay are may be discussed on an individual basis. Student will need a computer using Windows and Internet Access to get started.

Tutoring Approach:

As a self taught casual computer program developer learning at my own pace has become very important. Computer programming is a very deep and broad subject. Under my guidance students can work at their own pace and challenge themselves as little or as much as they want. The good news is that a student can learn to write a computer application in a very short time and without four years of college. Students are not graded and no testing is required. More productive levels can be reached if the student has a good idea for a computer application. This idea could come from the work place or a hobby they may have.

I use my own screen captured videos and hand-outs to help students achieve what they want. Everyone has their own learning style some of us learn best by reading, others like to be shown and the rest of us want hands-on training.

I am not the foremost expert on anything, if I don't know the answer to a students question I simply tell them and help them find the answer.

Knowing how to write your own applications is just another feather in a cap for private instructors, business owners, B&B's, human resources, government, and book publishers. These are referred to as 'Vertical Markets' in the software industry (search 'wikipedia vertical markets'). Private computer owners are welcome.

Personal Description:
Hello there,
My name is Elizabeth. I am a playwright and teacher. I have been working in the Arts for the last twenty years and have published two plays and written 10. One of my plays is currently being developed for the screen. I have written and performed in children's animation on a number of series for Brown bag films ( double academy award nominees). My background and training as a teacher, writer, performer in the Arts has led me to develope a style and approach to my role as a teacher that I would describe as both fun and focused! I feel my passion for my chosen field will infect any student of Drama and related subjects with a verve and focus they may not have experienced before. We all have a tutor or teachers that have influenced or led to a turning point in our education through their style and approach to the subject. Changing our perspective and leading us through the door of confusion and into light of understanding. I hope to be that tutor for you.

Teaching Experience:

12 years as a freelance tutor and drama examiner at both primary and third leval education. 15 years experience in workshop and performance technique in the Stanislavski system.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is one of consistency coupled with patience and encouragement towards achieving a goal in a reasonable amount of time so as not to overwhelm the student. The Tutor I feel should be there in a supportive role as well as being the students guide and pedagog. We as tutors are not there to just regurgitate information, rather we should encourage the student to learn. Understanding their needs when it comes to learing one hopes to also imbue them with a love of the subject. Setting homework that encourages them to think for themselves, read outside the course, imagine, devlope skills that may have been neglected.

Personal Description:
Cambridge graduate with over 150 hours tutoring experience

Teaching Experience:

Since graduating from the University of Cambridge in 2014 with a BA in English, I have accrued over 150 hours of tutoring. I have taught students from ages 11 to 18.

I have previously tutored for 13+, scholarship, GCSE, AS, A-Level and University. In recent months, I have helped my students to achieve:
A* at GCSE (up from a B)
A at A-Level (up from a C)
A at AS Level, coursework (up from a C)

I have also assisted students applying to Oxbridge - helping with interview technique, which subjects to choose at A-Level and general tips for success. My most recent tutee for Oxbridge assistance has just started her first year at the University of Cambridge.

Tutoring Approach:

My tailored approach to the needs of each individual tutee enables me to provide a high level of support. It is important to me to teach in a way that engages students; encouraging their strengths by discovering what interests and excites them, and giving them the confidence to work on their weaknesses. I have a natural enthusiasm for the subjects I teach, and believe that learning should never be dull or prescriptive!

I would love to hear from you, so please do get in touch if you have any questions.

Personal Description:
I am in my second year studying Medicine at the Imperial College London after finishing my A levels at a South London school. I have an excellent academic record with 7 A-stars and 3 As in my IGCSE's. I have also achieve the highest score on IGCSE mathematics.

I gained 7 As at AS level. I received an average of 97.8% across the 5 science subjects (math, further math, biology, chemistry and physics). I have also achieved Gold awards at the British Biology Olympiad , Senior Math Challenge and the International Chemistry Olympiad. I self taught myself Further Math modules during AS year; I learned FP1 and D1 last year and achieve 98% on both modules. I enjoy the challenge of maths so I self taught two more A2 modules namely FP2 and S3 and I got 100% and 93% respectively. My A level results were 4A* and 1A. I gained 600/600 in A level Maths, 97% in A level Further Maths, 96.7% in Chemistry, 96% in Physics and 92.7% in Biology overall.

I am originally from Malaysia and I am fluent in both Chinese and English, and I can tailor the lessons to focus on whatever students want to learn about. I am keen to tutor students on sciences, math and mandarin. My main academic interests are medical statistics and applied biotechnology. In addition, I play two instruments and enjoy playing tennis and travelling.

Teaching Experience:

I began tutoring secondary students English and Maths during my time in China. When I first moved to London, I started tutoring students on GCSE sciences. I volunteer to teach English students Mandarin during my time in school. Having been through the stress of exams, I have also held numerous study groups and sessions in order to aid pupils further. I also received an opportunity to tutor two girls on As level Maths and Chemistry for two months or so before the summer 2015 exams.

During the summer, I successfully received a full time job teaching A level Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Toefl English in a tutorial institution in Zhuhai, China for 3 weeks. It was a challenge for me teaching full time and preparing lessons every day to meet the demand of the students. In the end, it was a rewarding experience for me.

Tutoring Approach:

Learning should be enjoyed, I believe the best way to learn is by finding what you are learning interesting so I will aim to make whatever I teach interesting for the student. My approach is tailored to the needs and preferences of the student. Lessons can include:
- Recapping material covered in class
- Going through homework
- Focussing on difficult concepts
- Past exam questions & exam technique
I am willing to answer any questions they have as long as they send me an-email so that I can reply.

Hello. My name is Chantelle and I am a fully qualified teacher of English as a Foreign Language. I teach General English and Business English at all levels. I am also a Law graduate (2:1 LLB Hons University of Liverpool) with a strong academic record. I am 32 and am engaged to my lovely fiancé. I am interested in history and love to learn about different cultures.

Teaching Experience:

Although I am new to teaching English as a Foreign Language I have teaching experience gained from teaching World War 1 history to primary school children and Law as a private tutor to university undergraduates. I have also provided English language support to a number of European companies. Personal Description:
Hello! I am an enthusiastic English teacher based in York, I specialise in Literature and teaching English as a foreign language.

I have completed a BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature and gained a 2:1 along with a Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA). I now enjoy offering tuition in the York area.

I believe that it is important to really enjoy what you are learning about any subject and I hope I can help you in your experience with English!

Teaching Experience:

I completed a CELTA course in 2013 at York St John's University in order to train in teaching English as a foreign language; this was an amazing experience that truly prepared me for lesson planning and assisting students in their learning and development.

After the course, I set up a non-profit language class in York city centre to assist speakers of other languages in their development of English. This was targeted at working adults on a low income. The course ran for several months and was a hugely beneficial experience for both the students and teachers involved! Since then I have taught English as a foreign language both online and as a private tutor.

I have also tutored students towards GCSE English Language and Literature.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe every student is different so I aim to fit the lessons around your individual goals and personality. I value preparation before each lesson (especially on my part!) because the whole experience can be so much more rewarding that way.

Varying learning techniques is important in each study session to really make the most of the lesson time and make it as enjoyable and memorable as possible.

I tend to design each student their own webpage so that they have their own personal online space; to find resources, homework, lesson information and leave comments of their own.

Personal Description:
What do you see in this world? I perceive the world as a colorful and colours always represent me. I like drawing and painting when I was a child, painting and drawing enable me to be peaceful and patient, inspire me to become a sophisticated designer. Since childhood, one of my biggest dreams is to become a sophisticated designer and artist. It has always been my dream to travel around the world to gain more knowledge with different art history from other countries.

I was suffering from severe skin allergy that I needed to visit doctor all the time in F.4. The skin allergy had put much pressure on me, affected my academic performance at that time, forcd me to drop out of secondary school. I felt miserable all the time during the period of recovering, so I focused myself on an activity I always love - drawing. Through drawings, I was not only able to find joy and release my stress, but also able to improve my drawing skills.

As I was recovering gradually, I enrolled in the Diploma in Vocational Education (DVE) of Jewellery Arts and Design in Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education to pursue my interests in arts and design. The program equipped me with skills and technique in making jewellery, drawing and design technique with design concept, development and finalizing design work etc. I enjoy it very much since I could learn the in-depth knowledge in jewellery and arts. Also, I learnt some practical skills such as annealing, brazing and casting, which I could later apply these skills on jewellery arts making. Every time I completed a piece of jewellry, I could feel contented with a sense of achievement and got promoted to my making skills.

After graduating from the DVE programme, I continued my studies a Higher Diploma in Jewellery Design and Technology at the same school. The programme have provided me with lots of specialized and professional knowledge in gemology, further design and making skills. Throughout the programme, I learnt various gemstones and had seen many stunning designer pieces made out of them. Also, the programme had not only provided me intensive training on hand sketching, but the knowledge on Jewellery CAD , a design and manufacture software for jewellery, all these professional skills enable me to create designs for jewellery. During my studies, I have an opportunity in participating two jewellery competitions and I was selected as the finalist of both competitions. Although I did not win those competitions, I had obtained valuable experience which could utilize them in the coming challenges as well as chances to get to known the industry.

I had much curiosity in the jewellery industry and therefore working in a jewellery company as a part time designer when I am still a student. My works have been shown in jewelley fair. I received many positive comments from our customers who shown their interest and expressed that they appreciate my designs for their fruitful elements. I am delighted and grateful to receive their comments which had inspired me to be a further encouraged me to become a successful designer and a art teacher.

Personal Description:
Currently i run a small business in which i deliver foot health care services to the community. Recently i graduated from the University of Glasgow with a Masters in Biotechnology (2015) and i have a BSc (Hons) in Natural Sciences from the Open University (2013)

Teaching Experience:

While studying for my degrees I tutored high school students in Biology/Human Biology, with some input from myself and hard work from them they achieved great results and got into the university and course of their choice. Have also been tutoring my own son who struggles with maths skills. While employed by the NHS i worked with semi- pro and amateur athletes who often got injured, part of the treatment plan was to explain why certain exercises aggravated their condition and provide sources for alternatives and give further health education when needed, this mentor/teaching experience was tailored to each individual need.

Tutoring Approach:

Each lesson is tailored to the needs of the individual, will ask questions of the tutee to ensure they have grasped the concept being taught. In subsequent lessons will have a brief revision time to again check that the concepts have been fully understood.

Personal Description:
I am someone who has always been drawn to working with children because I am generally passionate about their education and development. I have routinely worked with children in different capacities from volunteering with a SEN playgroup, to working as both a tutor and teacher. I am an easy-going person who finds it easy to relate to families from all walks of life, and take great joy in getting to know people.

Teaching Experience:

I have two years' experience of teaching children of all ages from KS1 all the way up to A-Level. Half of that time was spent working for a private tuition company, while the other half was spent working as a supply teacher. I have also invigilated a number of exams including: 11+ selection tests, internal end of year exams, GCSE exams and A-Level exams.

The benefit of working for both a private tuition company and a school is that I know how to engage with children and young people on a personal level whilst intimately knowing the expectations that their teachers will have. Finally whilst I lack formal teaching qualifications, I have benefited from in-house training sessions and have wealth of experience of educating a number of different groups of children.

Tutoring Approach:

When teaching I tailor my approach to the needs and ability of the child because every child learns differently. I try to get to know my students personally so that I can understand what motivates them to learn and, likewise, what inhibits them. Some children lack confidence, others lack a challenge, some are nervous about exams whilst others couldn't care less about them! Therefore I endeavour to provide a personal learning experience that is going to develop the children I teach both academically and personally.

Personal Description:
Personally, the skills I possess, are passion, organisation, empathy and at some time enjoying with my tutees the most of their successes.

My background is in Physics with abilities to communicate in an enjoyable way with pupils. I believe Physics and Maths are the key to understand the Universe and most what is happening around the world related to several aspects in Sciences.

One of my hobbies is managing and coaching a local football team's children under 12. This is giving me the opportunity to understand how important is an effective communication, passionate and fun while teaching the future minds.

Teaching Experience:

I am tutoring in Maths,Statistics and Physics to pupils from secondary school up to University. Those opportunities are being fantastic for me and the pupils are having much success.

Whilst working as professional Geoscientist, I coached less experienced geoscientists. Listening and planning successfully according to their needs gave them the right target achievements.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is simple.I ask each tutee their needs and then I use my experience and abilities for solving the critical needs.

Personal Description:
I am a thirty-four year old father of one, with a first class History degree (BA Hons) from the University of Oxford and a Masters in Print Journalism from the University of Sheffield (Distinction).

I offer bespoke one-to-one tuition in and around Sheffield. I specialise in tutoring History at A-Level and GCSE but I also offer help with university applications and Oxbridge interview/exam prep.

Teaching Experience:

I'm new to professional private tutoring but I have a long track record of personal academic success and have worked informally with several A Level students in the past, all of whom progressed to Oxbridge or other red brick universities. I also have almost ten years experience working with children and young people participating in extra-curricular activities across Sheffield.

Tutoring Approach:

I am approachable, friendly, and patient, but I'm also passionate about History and English. I aim to make learning fun, challenging, and rewarding and believe that enjoying a subject is the key to success. I always aim to bring the subject to life and to help students engage, but I also look to help them work effectively and intelligently so they can make the best of limited time.
