Personal Description:
I am primary school teacher with four years experience. I am extremely passionate about teaching and I try to make all my teaching fun and relevant to the children that I teach. I moved up to Birmingham eight years ago and during that time I have gained in experience in a range of different schools. Teaching Experience:
I am a teacher in an inner city primary school who is very enthusiastic and eager to work with children either on a one to one basis or in small groups as this is the aspect of teaching I enjoy immensely. I have been teaching for four years and have experience in both Key Stage 1 and 2. I am currently both the Literacy and Science co-ordinator at my school which means I am accountable for standards within both those subjects across both key stages. Tutoring Approach:
My hard working and extremely concientious nature makes me a good teacher and I find children relate to me extremely well. I am a very reliable, professsional, yet approachable and down-to-earth character who has never had problems getting on with different people; in fact I really enjoy meeting and working with people from all walks of life! Teaching Experience:
From a very young age I found that I was always good at explaining things to people, and therefore tutoring started with simple teaching friends at school who were struggling with certain aspects of various subjects and continued from there. In fact I was heralded as a better teacher than my secondary school Maths teacher by several classmates, who apparently preferred my approach to teaching! I believe that it is vital to be a good listener as a tutor and to adapt your tutoring style and approach to the student. If a more visual approach to learning produces better results for a student than it is important to apply such an approach, and equally for example I will adopt a more conversational style of tutoring for students that prefer more verbal learning techniques. I am a half-French half-British student, currently studying in England for my degree in International Relations. I have lived in France my whole life until I left for university at 17, and speak fluent French and English (bilingual).

I also speak Spanish as i have been studying this language for 10 years and have lived in Madrid last year for one year.

I have been tutoring children since I was 16 in English when i lived in France.
I tutored a GCSE level English student for 6 months in 2008 to pass his French GCSE, which he did with flying colours!
When i was living in Spain, i worked with a tutoring and translation agency and had 6 students from the ages of 6 to 40, which i taught English or French on a weekly basis.

Tutoring Approach:
I very much enjoy teaching as i consider a one-to-one approach more efficient in the learning process for languages.
I am highly flexible in my teaching methods and like to work with the student to find out what they need to work on.
For small children i like to teach with games, songs, and manual activities which will help them to practice their understanding and speaking.
For older children, I usually work with them to understand their needs, and focus on an objective (such as get an A at GCSEs). I use school exercises as well as my own methods.
With adults, i like to listen to the person's needs and discuss with them a method of learning that we agree on together.

Personal Description:
I have been studying psychology since 1972 when I did my own A levels. I found the subject fascinating and went onto study psychology at university. My first job was working as a residential social worker with delinquent boys which was a very challenging job indeed. I then went on to work as a field social worker and learnt much about the problems people can have. I then decided to go into teaching and did a PGCE teaching course at Birmingham. My first teaching job was at the college where I studied for my own A levels. I have been teaching ever since. I have always been interested in understanding people and I did a Masters Course in Pastoral theology to further my understanding. I am mainly a visual learner and so enjoy presenting work pictorially using a lot of colour. My friends and family say I am a very friendly person, able to listen as well as to communicate clearly. I have been teaching Psychology since 1983. I have experience of teaching both GCSE Psychology and AS and A2 level Psychology. Most of my experience has been with 16 - 19 age range but I have also taught adults in part-time A level classes both in the day-time and in the evening. I have taught mainly the AQA specification A but have recently changed specification to the Edexcel AS and A2 Psychology. I am a 26 year old Teacher, originally from Cornwall but currently working in Birmingham. Having always had a passion for travel and other cultures I learnt French by staying with a French family from a young age. I have always love the performing arts and have worked with the National Youth Theatre and Crescent Theatre in Birmingham. After University, I fulfilled a personal ambition by working in India with a group of Religious and secular leaders on a project to resolve inter-religious violence issues. Personal Description:
I am a University Graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in English Studies and History as well as a native speaker of German. I am going to start a PGCE Secondary English this autumn at the University of Birmingham.

Teaching Experience:
