Personal Description:
I am very patient in my approach and ensure that my students fully understand the topic.

I believe that it is vital to be a good listener as a tutor and to adapt your tutoring style and approach to the student, as everyone learns in different ways and what works for one may not work for another. Therefore my approach to teaching is to be flexible and to adapt my tutoring style according to what is best for each student.

Teaching Experience:

From my career history I showed that I have people skills, that I can work well with other people.

I used to teach Italian students aged between 12- 35 for one year while I was running my university degree.

I am Romanian mother tongue, I moved to Italy at the age of 19 to start university in Turin, and after I finished my BA in foreign languages German - English I moved to London. I was able to face many obstacles and manage to achieve my goals moving abroad (Italy, United Kingdom) .
Being a teacher means being a professional. My professional appearance will let the students know that I take the job seriously and that I am responsible.
Living in a new country United Kingdom, Italy, I am used to find myself in unexpected situations and to be flexible.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach varies depending on the student's needs and learning style.
I prefer focusing on exam-style or past paper questions in order to check, practice and perfect the student's understanding. Where appropriate I set and mark work, giving students detailed feedback so that they can improve quickly.
I use questions and homework to check understanding continually.

In 2004 to 2005 I took a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages (French and Spanish) at The University of Bath. From 2005 to 2006 I taught in a variety of Primary and Secondary Schools before taking a Permanent Post at Matravers School in Wiltshire where I worked for five years, gaining internal promotion to Second in Department in 2010. During my time at the school I taught classes from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 (ages 11-18) and prepared students for both GCSE and AS Level Exams, getting good results as can be testified in my reference.
I also lead trips to both Paris and Barcelona to give students a taste of life in these countries and an opportunity to practise their language skills in real life situations.
Since 2011 I have been working as a freelance Language Tutor and Translator as well as completing Teaching contracts with reputable language schools Kaplan International and OISE in central London. I also work for AQA marking French GCSE Writing Papers. I am currently studying for a Masters Degree in Technical and Specialised Translation at The University of Westminster in Central London.

Personal Description:
With a high first class degree in Physics from the University of York, for over three years now I have given tuition in Mathematics and Physics for all qualifications up to and including A Level as well as the Sciences to GCSE.

Teaching Experience:

After various school placements, including teaching in St Aidan's Harrogate (ranked among the highest achieving comprehensive schools in the country), I have helped a multitude of pupils ranging from as young as 8 through to mature students. I have experience of teaching AQA, Edexcel and OCR board syllabuses including IGCSE as well as Pre-U. I am happy to offer tuition for all other syllabuses as well, for example WJEC, the International Baccalaureate (IB) and for free-standing maths qualifications.
Additionally, I offer tuition to adults wanting to improve their maths understanding and skills, for example to help with their career or to pass QTS skills tests etc.
Students and parents have offered positive feedback from the results attained after my tuition including a great improvement in their grade and confidence. For example, a student's grade in A Level Physics improved from originally an E to an A after my tuition, while others attend their preferred schools after help with revision for their entrance exams.
I have helped several students with Asperger Syndrome, those with dyslexia and students who are home-schooled or had to move school due to behavioural difficulties or medical conditions. Additionally, I have had training for and taught students who did not live with their biological parents.

Tutoring Approach:

I find I can relate to students in a calm and patient manner and I have enjoyed helping them through difficulties with their subjects. I endeavour to find and solve the problems students have in their understanding to give them a firmer grasp of the topic, with the benefits from this being increased confidence and improved results.

My approach of teaching is really informal in a relax atmosphere but with great results.

How long does it takes to learn a second language?

After having given many tuitions ,I wanted to get back to some basic facts on how to learn a language as sometimes the requests I receive are either not realistic such as high expectations, becoming proficient by having an hour a week tuition and so on...

So here are a few facts:

_The more time per week you can spend learning a language, the faster you`ll be able to reach your goal.

_Interacting with native speakers and practicing speaking is always faster and more effective than passive learning, like reading or using tapes. If you can find a tutor to work one-on-one with you, then you can learn a language much faster than if you`re learning in a large group of people. When you learn one-on-one you can set the learning pace. Make sure not to take too many breaks from learning a new language until you`ve reached your goal. Taking a vacation from your study plan can mean losing a lot of the information you worked so hard to remember.

_Depending on your language background, you can become fluent in another language in as little as three months, or it may take you years. Every person is different, and the time it takes to learn a new language is based upon how much time you can devote to studying, your natural ability to learn languages, and your ultimate goal in learning the language.

_Creating and keeping learning is an important part of learning a language, and will ensure that you learn the language within the time frame you need to. If you want to become proficient within six months, then set goals to learn and remember a couple new phrases per day, or practice reading a newspaper article in your target language once a week.

_Motivation is one of the keys to succeed! If you do not want to learn the language, you won't.

_Relax and enjoy yourself! Do not worry about what you cannot remember, or cannot yet understand, or cannot yet say. It does not matter. You are learning and improving. The language will gradually become clearer in your brain, but this will happen on a schedule that you cannot control. So sit back and enjoy. Just make sure you spend enough time with the language. That is the greatest guarantee of success.

I hope you have enjoyed the article.

I look forward to having you as one of my tutees.

Personal Description:
Hello! I am 37 years old, originally from Denmark and moved to the UK 12 years ago for my degree. Before teaching, I worked as a monkey veterinary technician in the US, conducted my Masters research on crop-raiding macaques in Indonesia, and helped to run a volunteer expedition in the Amazon. After a couple of years of teaching in secondary school as a Science and Spanish teacher, I heard the call of the wild again and travelled for a year through Mexico and Central America. I am now working for an independent school in the Rochdale area and have gained experience tutoring a wide range of subjects and a wide range of ages.

I have an up to date enhanced CRB.

Teaching Experience:

I completed my teaching degree in 2007 at Canterbury Christ Church University. I trained in two very different types of schools, private Catholic school and selective high school, which gave me the experience to engage students of different abilities and backgrounds. I also received training to teach EAL and SEN students. My teaching qualification is in Science, but as a fluent Spanish linguist I have also taught Spanish to both adults and children. I teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics up to GCSE level, and other subjects I currently teach include Maths up to GCSE level and English up to Key Stage 3.

Tutoring Approach:

Students, young and old, don't like subjects they don't think they can succeed in. My approach is to break down material, relate it to everyday life and interests, and positively reinforce all the way to build up confidence. I am stubborn (!) and I don't give up until it's mastered.

Personal Description:
I am a Spanish, French and English (as a foreign language) teacher, and have a 2:1 degree in Spanish language and literature, French and Italian language. Due to my Hispanic origins, I am fluent in Spanish as well as French, and teach these regularly around London. I additionally teach English as a Foreign language. As I learnt languages at British schools, I particularly understand the difficulties in coming to grips with languages in the classroom, and can help anyone to overcome these difficulties with private tuition one on one or in small groups.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught children and teenagers languages for about 10 years. Over the past few years I have taught English as a Foreign Language to various people in Madrid and London in small classes as well as one-on-one tuition. I also tutor KS2/3, GCSE and Adult learners in French and Spanish in London on a regular basis.

Tutoring Approach:

As a tutor, I think it is imperative to find each student's learning approach and adapt the teaching to them. However, I particularly enjoy a practical approach to learning languages as I believe it makes it easier to grasp. I think it is very important to be able to catch the meaning of conversation and text in a general sense as well as the more classic approach to grammar, in order to improve means of communication and possibility of practising the language in a fun way outside of lessons.

Personal Description:
I am an experienced and enthusiastic tutor with a great love of languages, ancient and modern. I have two degrees: a BA from the University of Bristol taken in 1981, and then over 20 years later an MA from UCL. Both degrees contained a significant Classical language component and I am familiar with all the major authors. My first degree also included Italian and I have subsequently studied at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in London.

Teaching Experience:

- Private tutor with a wealth of experience across all age groups - my students/tutees have ranged in age from 12 to 75. I have coached for exams (CE, GCSE, A level, university exams), with excellent results for my students, and I have tutored adult learners who have come to me for a variety of reasons: some relocating to Italy, others wanting to speak a bit of Italian on holiday, and some who fancy reading Virgil or Cicero in the original Latin.
- Tutor in adult education, currently teaching Italian, Latin, Ancient Greek and Roman History in West Sussex.
- Tutor at The London Summer School in Classics.
- Tutor at a leading university, taking undergraduate seminar classes.

Tutoring Approach:

The key to successful tutoring lies in tailoring the content of the classes to the student's needs and objectives. For GCSE, a rigorous approach may be required to ensure that grammar and vocabulary is assimilated, whereas an adult learner of Latin or Greek may want to progress quickly to adapted text, or with Italian, to be able to converse a little on holiday. Whatever the case, I think learning or revision should be fun, and I aim to make my lessons as enjoyable as possible, whilst keeping a close eye on exam deadlines!

Personal Description:
I'm an Oxford graduate (B.A. (Hons), M.St.) with a real passion for language and its place within human culture. I have also lived and worked in Italy, France and Spain.

Teaching Experience:

I have several years' worth of varied experience. I am a qualified teacher of Modern Languages and currently work in a top Manchester school. Previously, I have worked full time as a tutor through some of London's top agencies, including Keystone Tutors and Enjoy Education. I have also taught translation (Italian to English) for St John's and Christ Church Colleges, Oxford, and tutored English Language, English Literature, French, Italian, Spanish and History for GCSE and A level. I have also been teaching English as a Foreign Language for over four years.

In addition, I have considerable experience teaching younger children literacy and foreign languages. I have particular experience of tutoring children who have studied in non-Anglophone environments and schools (especially French, Italian and Russian) as they prepare for examinations in English.

Tutoring Approach:

I firmly believe it is important to reinforce students' existing knowledge, while continuing to push the boundaries of their learning. Furthermore, I encourage a holistic approach when tutoring and entice students to see links across different fields and subjects, thereby heightening the value of their tuition and its use value.

I encourage the study of language and literature together, focusing on working very closely with particular texts while still seeing them within the broader parameters of literature as a whole. It is my belief that neither language nor literature could or should be entirely separated from the other.

With regard to language specifically, I encourage spoken and written fluency by building upon a solid framework of linguistic instruction and cultural competence. I also emphasise both the academic and practical merits of studying a foreign language.

Personal Description:
I am a 26 year-old qualified language teacher. I come from Alicante, Spain and I have studied Translation and Interpreting in Barcelona and I hold a Master's Degree in Education (Language branch).

During my studies, I participated in an Erasmus exchange student programme with the Free University of Berlin for one year and I have stayed several months at a time in UK over the past ten years for work and recreational reasons and I finally moved over here last year.

I am a very outgoing person and I love languages! My tutoring style is mainly communicative, with lots of speaking and interactive activities but I can also help students improve their writing and reading skills. My lessons are tailor made to suit every student's need.

Teaching Experience:

I have experience with 1-2-1 and group tuition for Primary, Secondary and University students as well as Adult casual learners.

I have experience teaching groups, as I have been delivering a Spanish course for a company since September 2012.

I also have experience designing my own teaching materials and delivering them at a high school in Barcelona, where I worked with 11 to 18 year-old students.

I have also participated in many tandem-programmes, where I helped German students improve their Spanish.

Moreover, I have worked as a proofreader and translator, which has helped me improve when helping students with writing assignments.

Tutoring Approach:

My tutoring style is mainly communicative, with lots of speaking and interactive activities but I can also help students improve their writing and reading skills.
My lessons are tailor made to suit every student's need.
I like to sit down with my students, ask them what they need and adapt all the teaching materials to their needs.

Personal Description:
Hola, Ciao, Salut,

My name is Graham, I'm based in Skipton, but usually travel to my student covering a large area of the North West. I am the founder of a Natural Language learning method which helps your to learn a new language in the same way you learnt your native language, but quicker!

It's specifically developed around the way your brain organises and understands languages, helping you to connect with your own individual learning experience and making it enjoyable.

I have a background in IT training, teaching Martial Arts, Personal Development Coaching and Neuro Linguistic Programming, my role is to remove the obstacles people find or impose upon themselves, reinforce positive habits and keep finding ways to make learning fun and engaging.

** PLEASE NOTE **

If after your first taster class, you are happy to book a block of classes, usually 4 - 12 weeks, I will reimburse you the fee you have paid to buy the contact details. Also I offer a full satisfaction guarantee, so as to ensure you receive tuition that suits you, and is effective.

NB. Any correspondence with contact details will have those details removed by UK Tutors, as this ensures that they are paid for their service too. Please do not think that I am being rude or inattentive if I am unable to reply, as I cannot see your details.

- I will always try to respond to requests within 24 Hrs where possible.

- Any questions you may have can be discussed via the contact messages, before making any sort of commitment.

Once you have purchased the contact details we will then be able to arrange our first class.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching languages and developing my natural method since 2008.

I started offering private 1 to 1 Spanish tuition back in 2008, since then I have greatly refined how I deliver language classes, and constantly look for ways to improve the way you learn. I now also offer Italian and French tuition.

Tutoring Approach:

I specialise in helping students get to grips with their languages, giving them the strategies to communicate easily, and feel confident in then building upon that. My method is quite different from what you may have experienced in school, I use a variety of different resources, and will help you to understand the basics in your chosen language quickly, naturally, and most importantly, enjoyable.

I encourage a lot of listening & speaking during the lesson, helping you to have a real practical ability to speak & understand your new language.

I generally say that within 3 - 6 months anyone can get from beginner to intermediate/upper intermediate, and setting 90 day goals is very effective, helping you to feel sense of achievement & progress. This is depending on how much you can practice on a daily basis, at least 20 min per day ideally, and how strongly you connect with your motivation for learning a new language. I will provide you with lots of ways of working this into your daily life, even around a busy schedule!

The cost is the same for 1 - 2 students, as I find that couples do particularly well, supporting and testing each other, and practicing together throughout the week (this could also be 2 friends). The price per head goes down in increments for additional friends/family members.
Lessons are usually 1.5 hrs, but can vary depending on your needs. 1 to 1 Lessons are £20/hr and Online £15/hr.

The structure of the class can vary as I tailor them to individuals needs, though generally include:

- New Vocabulary/ Grammar - Building on previous classes, with brief explanation & practice.

- Dialogues, listening to native speakers, and completing missing word exercises.
This is the most complete and central part of the lessons as it covers everyone's different learning
styles; reading, listening, writing, and then speaking, followed by a review of the dialogue.
These also follow your own interests and hobbies where possible, making them more relevant
to you and how you would use your own personal active vocabulary.

- We also listen to songs, have word search puzzles, films and more...

I use Skype for Online classes, and E-mail any sheets/materials necessary before the lesson.

Usually for the first class at least I would come out to you (where possible), helping you to get set up with everything you need, after which Online classes are available if more practical, or if preferred.

Personal Description:
I have been building websites for around 8 years, I have a very varied knowledge of website development and design, I am currently at christ church university as a student in graphics / web design which includes lots of different areas of design from typography to theory.

Teaching Experience:

I have had no official teaching experience but I have taught people how to code websites and build websites from scratch in the past, most the people I have taught are able to buld a pretty decent website on their own within 6 months of a couple of hours a week lessons.

Tutoring Approach:

In design and website development its about repeating steps and making sure that you come across as many issues as possible to give you the ability to fix those issues without too much trouble, its about lateral and logical thinking, planning and effort.

If you have never built your own website you might find the coding pretty confusing but I try to make it easy for you by association, for example within html there is a tag called img, most you you can see exactly what that says but for those that dont it is a tag to include an image so if I were to typ in < img src="images/myimage.jpg", you are saying this is the source or the place where my image is located in my files.

Most importantly I will initally find out what if any knowledge of html or design you have already, I will also see if you have any experience in professional editing programs like photoshop, after effects, illustrator or even dreamweaver, most who are interested in digital design on any level have at least heard of some of those.
