Personal Description:
I am a parent and therefore understand the value of ensuring that children get the very best of education especially when they are still young. I have also had professional experience in two sectors of an economy (Automobile Marketing and Banking) and currently enrolled full time for an MBA. My experiences will therefore be quite useful to my business related students. My hobbies include watching and playing football, music, reading novels and watching movies.

Teaching Experience:

I had taught for over 5 years before taking full time professional employment. I presently give tutorials to colleagues who are having a hard time keeping up with the MBA programme.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is simple. I start by gaining the trust of my student through series of informal talks before the day's session as this helps the student to see me as a friend in whom he/she can trust. One trust is established, the student is confident to relate the areas he/she is having a challenge and we can take it up from there.

Personal Description:
I am an Oxford graduate with a degree in English Literature and Spanish and I have been giving private tuition in London for the past 9 months. I lived in Madrid for two years and I love to share my love of Spanish with other native English speakers as I think it is a fantastic language and a fantastic culture! I also love to read, and pride myself on a fair knowledge of a variety of subjects, but am particularly interested in the arts, religion, languages and biological sciences.

Teaching Experience:

I have a strong background working with children, having worked abroad as an au pair, as a Teaching Assistant in a Special Needs School and latterly as a tutor. I am currently tutoring two 8-year old boys of vastly disparate levels and a 6-year old girl, all of Italian origin, helping them to improve their reading and written English and generally overseeing their schoolwork in key subjects, such as French and Maths. I also gave Spanish tuition to a university student over the summer in preparation for re-sits of his first year examinations, which I am pleased to say he passed!

Tutoring Approach:

I am a very hands-on person and I like to get my students to think and act for themselves. If they are unsure of how to do something I like to take them through it slowly, prompting them to ask the right questions rather than just giving them the answers. I try to be as creative as I can and to make the subject I am teaching interesting and applicable. I always seem to make my students laugh, but I do expect them to take learning seriously - I am quick to praise and reward but I make them work for it!

I qualified as a secondary school teacher from King's College London (2000).
I have worked as an IT developer for many years.

Personal Description:
Hi, my name is Mitul. I teach Mathematics on a one-to-one basis to students at different levels. I have a BSc in Mathematics from Imperial College, London and an MSc in Financial Mathematics from the University of Warwick.

Teaching Experience:

I have over five years of private tutoring experience in Maths.

Tutoring Approach:

I aim to establish what the student knows and needs during the sessions, building upon their existing knowledge and closing gaps. My approach typically involves working with pupils on their weaker topics, giving them confidence to work progressively through text book questions and then past papers. I try to break problems down into manageable chunks and explain those parts that do not make sense in more detail, using my communication skills to pass on my subject knowledge.

An integral part of the sessions and the student progression is the completion of weekly homework. Whilst I may not ask for specific questions or exercises to be completed each week, feedback from the follow-up work is crucial in ensuring that progress is continually being made.

Date: from March to April 2005.
Actors were primary school children, which have been selected from the Head Teacher and me. I have trained them every week from March to April 2005 to play on different set. (Drama lessons included). The movie has been filmed in July 2005.
My experience was not only as an Italian Teacher but director and producer and composer for the editing of background music and special audio effects. This is the first time I have made my first movie. (17 minutes footage).
Sponsor for the project and investor was the Italian Consulate of Manchester (U.K.). Very good reward and payment + bonus for the hard work I have done in those months.

Personal Description:
I am a semi-retired teacher and I have recently moved to the Camberley area to be closer to my children and their ever expanding families. I am very patient and approachable and have always gained great satisfaction in helping children to achieve their full potential.

Teaching Experience:

My teaching career started with empathy for the Montessori approach to educating the young child. My experience continued into primary and secondary years education, where I specialized in teaching Maths and English. After having one of my own children diagnosed with dyslexia, I became a dyslexic tutor and started a specialist unit in a secondary school in Eastbourne. I also teach Phonics and thoroughly enjoy helping children make sense of our complex language. For the past 12 years I have been teaching English as a foreign language to both children and adults.

Tutoring Approach:

I have been tutoring for over 20 years and have had excellent results with all ages. I devise individual programmes best suited to encourage maximum progress, whilst making the whole learning experience fun. I am very patient and I make sure that my students feel relaxed and able to learn at their own pace.

Personal Description:
Born in Yorkshire I was educated in New Zealand up to school certificate. After A levels I attended Durham University before heading to Sandhurst.
12 years of teaching experience is backed by a wealth of real-world experience in the army, arts and educational administration and in business. I have an interest in the outdoors, public speaking, sport (I am an active cricketer and a rugby referee) , the arts, history, science and religion.

Teaching Experience:

Sherborne Prep School (2002-2009 and 2011-14): Originally engaged as a science and class teacher for KS2 and 3, I became Director of Studies in 2006. In 2011 I returned as head of history before becoming head of computing in 2012. In both these roles I was responsible for writing and introducing a new curriculum.
Sherborne Qatar (2009-10): founding Director of Studies responsible for admissions, curriculum and assessment and teacher of a Year 5 class.
On returning to the UK I worked at Knighton House School (2010-11): where I taught science, maths and history. From 2014, I have done some supply teaching in the Tyneside area while working on curriculum projects and freelance writing

Tutoring Approach:

With experience in preparing pupils for exams such as 11+, Common Entrance and scholarships I am academically demanding but believe that learning should be enjoyable and try to include elements which allow children of all learning styles and abilities to make the most of their abilities. As a result I include practical elements and visual materials in most lessons. Context is important in learning, so concepts are taught through media and approaches which are engaging (and often amusing) to the child. In short, children regard learning as fun and worthwhile rather than as something to be endured. The first step is an assessment of needs which is followed by focussed learning to develop areas of weakness and to build confidence, knowledge and analytical skills.

Personal Description:
I currently work as a Transport Consultant and have a degree in Mathematics from the University of Warwick. I am a positive, empathetic, enthusiastic and very passionate about the sciences.I have high expectations of my students and ensure I build their confidence through meeting their learning needs. I am committed to supporting my students raise their achievements beyond their expectations in a relaxed and safe environment to enable them enjoy learning and succeed.

Teaching Experience:

I have been tutoring privately for 2 years, teaching GCSE and A Level Maths, Physics and Chemistry.

Tutoring Approach:

I teach the STEM subjects using a learner-led, confidence building approach using plenty of examples and breaking down concepts into their simplest forms. I also encourage students to practise their weak areas, as well as honing skills already learnt. My learners soon find out through constant practise that they understand Maths, Chemistry, Physics etc. My main aim is to enable all my learners 'get' it. I give homework for every lesson and ensure they are marked in a timely manner. I also take my learners through exam techniques, revision schedules and past papers as well as provide detailed feedback on areas to improve and work on.
