Personal Description:
I am a parent and therefore understand the value of ensuring that children get the very best of education especially when they are still young. I have also had professional experience in two sectors of an economy (Automobile Marketing and Banking) and currently enrolled full time for an MBA. My experiences will therefore be quite useful to my business related students. My hobbies include watching and playing football, music, reading novels and watching movies.

Teaching Experience:

I had taught for over 5 years before taking full time professional employment. I presently give tutorials to colleagues who are having a hard time keeping up with the MBA programme.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is simple. I start by gaining the trust of my student through series of informal talks before the day's session as this helps the student to see me as a friend in whom he/she can trust. One trust is established, the student is confident to relate the areas he/she is having a challenge and we can take it up from there.

Personal Description:
I am an experienced English University Lecturer, who is fully qualified to teach English as a foreign language (TEFL). My teaching style is pro-active and flexible, having worked in a variety of settings with different age ranges. This has included commercial language schools, schools and institutions of further and higher education throughout the UK and overseas. I enjoy establishing a rapport with students and making them feel at ease, so they are able to learn and enjoy the experience.

(I have a full UK driving licence and I have my own transport)

Teaching Experience:

As a former University and High School Lecturer in China, I have worked with a wide variety of ages and abilities (from year 7 through to PHD Degree level). This involved teaching adults and children whose first or main language is not English. I have done this in the UK and abroad, where my students learnt English for both business and leisure reasons.

I am an FA (Level 1) Football Coach and can provide lessons on basic Mandarin introduction/culture/etiquette.

Overall - I have experience of helping with routine homework, assignments, exam preparation, more focused revision, improving memory and making subjects interesting.

Tutoring Approach:

I always use a range of course books and materials, including a variety of audiovisual aids. My English lessons have a strong emphasis on dialogue and role-playing, but more formal exercises, language games and literature are also used.
The content of all my lessons can vary depending on the reason why the student is learning English or another subject, e.g. whether it is for business use for adults, school work for children, etc. I aim to make subjects like maths interesting and enjoyable and believe that this gives the foundation for exam success.

The aim of my English lessons is to encourage the students to communicate with each other using the structures and vocabulary they have learnt and to improve the four basic language skills: listening; speaking; reading; and writing.

Personal Description:
I graduated as a mature student with The Open University and hold a BSc (Hons) in Life Sciences in 2008, so I have an understanding of the pressures of modern learning requirements.

I am easy-going and have an interest in teaching basic skills and maths to primary ages as well as science up to GCSE level.

I am a young 60 with a 6 year old daughter who benefits from my teaching and encouragement. It is through her that I have gained a good understanding of primary years education.

I continue to further my own education through the Open University and I am presently seeking a PhD opportunity.

Teaching Experience:

I assist and support my own daughter's learning as well as gaining further experience by assisting in the classroom at a local primary school. I have extensive experience in industry using organisational and team management skills.

Tutoring Approach:

My aim is to direct the learning process in an interesting way. For primary levels, it is important to maintain interest though the use of a wide range of learning resources and also to make learning fun.

I believe in building confidence by encouragement. I structure lessons to suit individual needs, setting achievable targets and carefully directing the route to reach whatever level or qualification that is required.

I always begin with an assessment of the pupil's needs. I maintain regular discussion with parents and pupil on the direction and needs of the learning route.

The key factors in my approach to teaching are positive encouragement and a kind understanding of any difficulties.

Personal Description:
I am a second year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Bath.
As an A-level student I attended Wilson's Grammar School for Boys, a renowned school for high achieving exam results. I studied, Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Design Technology at A-Level achieving two A*'s in Maths and DT and A's in the others. I achieved 10 A*'s including Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English language and literature at GCSE. At university I am a dedicated member to the Backstage Technical Services Society which provide services to theatre productions and live events on and off campus.

Teaching Experience:

I have now been a tutor for 3 years in my home area helping children predominantly with the GCSE's however now I have completed my A-levels and first year of university I now feel comfortable to tutor A-levels as well. I have previously tutored children to pass entrance exams, and have tutored in all subjects I offer to GCSE level. My tuition experience ranges from intensive last minute revision to a more planned and structured long term program of study with students to accommodate the needs of the student. I ran a Maths help session at school during lunchtime for younger pupils at my secondary school, helping with problems from year 7 students up to GCSE level students. I helped students in the Design Technology department as well, with their coursework, practical and theory. At University I have had the opportunity to run training sessions within the Backstage Society giving me further experience teaching others especially people closer to my age which has really helped with tuition of people studying A-levels.

Tutoring Approach:

Helping students in problem areas is key, identified by practice papers, or on request. Working at the Students personal pace, where often in a class of thirty, key weakness can often be over looked or unaddressed. Finding the key areas the student needs to work on is essential so as not to teach already covered and understood topics which can make tutoring ineffective and tedious for the student. As tutoring is a more relaxed atmosphere which is out of the classroom the student will be unafraid to ask questions where they are unsure, as not in-front of their peer group. Being a student myself I understand the need for patients when learning and differing needs of student. A friendly approach to tutoring will mean the student will not feel punished with extra lessons but instead happy to query areas they do not understand. The tuition process is different for every pupil, and will be structured around their needs, meaning some sessions will be more based on learning new material where others may be more directed to applying already gained knowledge in revision exercises.

Personal Description:
I am a bubbly, outgoing person who loves teaching.
I was made redundant from my role on the Crime and Disorder Partnership where I was challenged to proactively tackle crime in the area.
I then decided to persue my career as a private tutor and teacher, having done it as a hobby for 3 years and found I have a passion for this field, this is now my sixth year of tutoring and have had lots of successes and am proud of all my tutees; past and present.
I can sometimes travel to you if required but prefer if I can tutor from my home.
I am available evenings and daytime and will allow single lessons or block bookings.

Teaching Experience:

I currently teach maths in a secondary school and previously taught functional skills IT to level 1 and 2
I have 2 years experience in the Public Sector working with young people and adults tackling crime and disorder through engagement and educational projects.
I have previously tutored many children to GCSE Maths and can provide references if required

Tutoring Approach:

I treat each child as an individual and relish the challenge of helping each boy or girl achieve their targets. I have an excellent rapport with children and all those I teach feel that I am very approachable, easy to talk to, kind and caring. I try to make learning fun.
I can provide one off sessions to tackle problem areas or intense revision help.

Personal Description:
I am a hard working individual and thrive to achieve best at everything I do. I am very enthusiastic and have exceptional listening skills. I am also a very confident person and get along with any new people I meet. I enjoy and cope well under pressure and always stay positive no matter what the situation. On the other hand, I also enjoy socialising with friends and going for meals. In addition I have many hobbies and interests which include Cricket, Football, Table Tennis, Swimming, Reading & Maths. I can also speak three languages fluently which are English, Gujarati & Hindi.
After getting good GCSE grades in 2011, I chose Maths, Economics, Business & I.C.T for A-Levels and hope to carry on Maths and Economics at University in a couple of years.

Teaching Experience:

Having a younger sister, I like to keep her "ahead of the game" at school. Everyday after school, after doing my homework or revision, I help her with her homework or teach her new maths skills which will be essential for her at school and this can improve her confidence in Maths and then she can hopefully achieve higher. I also strengthened maths skills which she was weak at and this boosted her confidence dramatically. Also when helping her with her homework, if she got an answer wrong, I would help her to get the right answer and then discuss why the initial answer was wrong. I think this technique is vital, because then she student can understand why the answer they wrote in the first place was wrong and hopefully in the future, it would help to eradicate any further mistakes.

Tutoring Approach:

When I tutored my sister, first of all I focused on her needs and what she was weak at, this was so we could move on to new topics without leaving the ones she was weak at behind. This is because if I left those topics she was weak at behind, then over time the weaknesses would build up and there would be a lot more to cover for her to get back on track. Also finding out the learning style of a student can improve their confidence when learning because they are more likely to understand and easily improve their skills. I also think working hard to ensure they understand a topic before moving on is vital as this can minimise errors in their studies.

Personal Description:
Maxim, born 1991, graduated from University College London (UCL) with a BSc Mathematics (Hons) in 2013 and is currently reading MSc Financial Computing at UCL. At age 17, he received his Luxembourg Baccalaureate Diploma with high distinction (UK equivalent: A-level exams) which was highly focused on mathematics, physics, chemistry, latin as well as English.
Being eager to proceed with his studies in the UK, Maxim decided, at first, to rather study an Economics and Management degree, believing that this course would offer a different and more applied as well as a pure maths approach (as there was a compulsory mathematics module to attend). Thus he got invited to study at Pembroke College, Oxford University. However, the course did not fulfil his hopes and expectations, thus he decided to study pure mathematics after all and received an unconditional offer from UCL.

Regarding German:
My mother tongue is German. I took German until my A-level exams. I am currently among others teaching German to a student with French origins, whose marks at school have increased to the point that he is now the best in his German class. His spoken German has also become a lot more fluent.

Regarding French:
My father has French origins and has spoken to me in French for my entire life. I also took French until my A-level exams. I teach German to a few French students in French and vice versa French to a few German students in German.

Regarding music:
Maxim has won several piano competitions e.g. in Taiwan, Munich and Luxembourg. Some of his interpretations can be found on Youtube.

Teaching Experience:

Maxim has always been fascinated by the magic that is mathematics. As a young child, his father
trained him in mental arithmetics. In the years that followed, Maxim participated in numerous
mathematics contests and placed amongst the top, being then invited to attend a maths camp in
Belgium, training the students for the IMO (International Maths Olympiad).
He later on decided to give back to the community in teaching maths and latin to younger students at
his high school during lunch breaks. Maxim is a passionate teacher, as he likes to help to make other
people understand what they cannot, as they might have difficulties and small details that might
confuse them, that many other people do not try to even detect. This however is one of Maxim's great
joys - he does not give up on his students, as he constantly tries to come up with all the necessary
patience that is needed to make them successful by increasing their potential in scoring higher marks.
In his free time, Maxim finds a great joy in music - especially playing the piano, as well as playing
tennis and squash.

Tutoring Approach:

Regarding Maths & German:
I personally experienced it to be very helpful for my students to have a written course, which I prepare myself. I try to stay as close to the essential topics (suggested by the relative institution) as possible and, depending on the student's request, go a little further to solidify the student's understanding. Also, I will give weekly homework at will, which I will correct before the lesson if scanned to me in time.

I have taught several students who have gone on to study music at university. Instead of only correcting the way my students play, I find it more helpful to find the root of the problem and make the students understand themselves so they will not need correcting of the same mistake in the future. Interpretation of music (for advanced students) is always a tricky business, as professors and teachers all have different tastes. I find it more important that the student develops his own taste - as long as the interpretation of the piece is convincing and somewhat close to what the composer intended, there is absolutely no reason why not to accept that interpretation. I help the students figure out how to make something special out of the music they play.

Personal Description:
I am a mechanical engineer with MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development from University of Cambridge.

Teaching Experience:

I was involved in conducting the training camp for the selection of the team that represented Pakistan in the 36th International Physics Olympiad, held in Spain. I was involved in conducting exams, practicals, marking, teaching as well as coordinating tutorials sessions with professors.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to take a practical approach to teaching. I want to give an intuitive feel to the students to help him grasp complex concepts. I do this by giving everyday examples to highlight the subjects under study. I want to
make science fun, cool and intuitive for students and remove the myth and misconceived perception that it is difficult and boring. If the teaching approach is correct, there is no reason why students will not be thrilled by laws and mechanisms of universe.

Personal Description:
Hello and thanks for taking the time to browse my profile.
I am available to tutor up to any level of Spanish, as well as up to GCSE level French or Maths.

Teaching Experience:

I`m an experienced classroom teacher available for French, Spanish or Maths tuition.
I studied BSc Accounting with Spanish before taking my PGCE, and I have experience of tutoring English to Spanish schoolchildren as a language assistant, and also of tutoring English to individuals privately in their own homes.
I am now a full time teacher of French and Spanish in one of the top boarding schools in England, having previously worked in an "outstanding" secondary school, where I tutored children (one-to-one) in Maths after school, after having completed a short course in one-to-one tutoring provided by Hertfordshire LEA.
I am also currently studying for my MEd in Educational Psychology, which I hope to complete soon. I have recently completed the CCRS qualification.

Tutoring Approach:

I am able to tailor my lessons to suit the individual needs of each student, whether it be focussed on Speaking, Listening, Reading or Writing (for the languages), or any specific topic for Maths.
I hope to talk to you soon.

Personal Description:
I am a divorcee with two teenagers and a rather loopy dog (all housetrained!) I discovered the joys of teaching as a parent helper at my children's Infant and Junior schools which inspired me to qualify as a Primary School teacher. Unfortunately I have developed arthritis in my knee which is why I am looking to continue my teaching in a non-school environment. My favourite academic subject is literacy because I love reading books by a wide range of authors, e.g. Austin and Dickens to J K Rowling and Jacqueline Wilson. I love creative crafts e.g. card making, cross stitch, scrapbooking etc. Music plays a big part in my life, including listening and making. I'm a bit of a diva on the recorder and can play the full range from Sopranino to Bass. I love to sing.

Teaching Experience:

I am a qualified Primary School Teacher who has worked in a number of schools in Essex in permanent, temporary and supply posts across both KS1 and KS2 over the last four years. My PGCE was obtained through School Centred Initial Teacher Training (which comprised spending a lot of time working directly with children). Prior to that I was a parent helper and governor for 5 years at my children's Infant and Junior Schools. I was Music Leader at my last school for two years and ran the choir. I enjoy teaching all primary subjects. I am keen to also support adults in improving their maths and literacy skills.

Tutoring Approach:

I am familiar with the Primary Curriculum. Hands on learning is great fun and I enjoy practical activities. I love working on a one to one basis as you can build a rapport and really personalise the learning. I enjoy topic work as it gives the learning a context and shows that subjects do not stand alone without any connections/overlap with each other (just like life). I am keen to support both adults and children in mastering literacy and numeracy skills because they are fundamental life skills. Personalised learning means that any gaps can be filled so that an individual has a firm foundation on which to build.
