Personal Description:
I am a parent and therefore understand the value of ensuring that children get the very best of education especially when they are still young. I have also had professional experience in two sectors of an economy (Automobile Marketing and Banking) and currently enrolled full time for an MBA. My experiences will therefore be quite useful to my business related students. My hobbies include watching and playing football, music, reading novels and watching movies.

Teaching Experience:

I had taught for over 5 years before taking full time professional employment. I presently give tutorials to colleagues who are having a hard time keeping up with the MBA programme.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is simple. I start by gaining the trust of my student through series of informal talks before the day's session as this helps the student to see me as a friend in whom he/she can trust. One trust is established, the student is confident to relate the areas he/she is having a challenge and we can take it up from there.

Personal Description:
A postgraduate student at Cass Business School, studying Actuarial Science. Just graduated from University of Manchester with Mathematics with Finance.
As a native speaker of Mandarin and Cantonese, I grew up in Hong Kong and had been studied in Malaysia for 2 years and Hong Kong for the rest. In addition, I have 2 younger sisters as a eldest brother and therefore I do well in tutoring. In my past Foundation year, I gained A* in Pure Mathematics, and A* in Business Mathematics and A in Computer. I am convinced that my academic achievement makes me a good fit in tutoring Mathematics for GCSE/A-Level students.

Teaching Experience:

In past, in Hong Kong and Malaysia, I tutored friends and anyone who were around me in Mathematics, which gave me loads of chance to enhance my teaching approaches.
I taught in Manchester last 2 years as well.

Tutoring Approach:

I would be more than happy to go trough past exam papers and exercises as for Maths with students.
Surely, to prepare notes and advice certain study skills for the students in Mathematics. I reckon that tutoring in a friendly manner would enhance learning process instead of forcing the student to do as said. You are more then welcome to have a briefing before the first tuition in order to make sure we have the same goal.

Personal Description:
I have recently graduated from a Masters degree in drama at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama having graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in English. Teaching has always been a great passion of mine and one to one tutoring is the most rewarding, in its opportunity for directness and specificity.

Teaching Experience:

I have been tutoring privately for three years and have also tutored drama in schools over the last few years. I have also had teaching experience abroad, teaching English as a foreign language in Indian and African schools.

Tutoring Approach:

I aim to make learning fun whilst also ensuring fast and effective progress. I ensure that I get to know my students' ways of learning as soon as possible in order to tailor my tutoring style to their individual needs. I hope to be able to offer a way of learning different but utterly beneficial to the current exam syllabuses which can often seem fairly daunting and rigid on first impression.

Personal Description:
Hi there! My name is Will, and I'm a graduate from the University of Cambridge (Christ's College). I studied Natural Sciences, and graduated with a 2.1 MSci specialising in Physics. I studied Maths, Physics and Chemistry at A-levels, and French at AS.
Maths and Physics can be daunting for many young people, yet I believe that anyone can learn to master these subjects if taught to look at the problems in the right way. All that is required is an underlying interest and an enthusiastic teacher!
I work during the week, but I am free in the evenings as well as all day on the weekends.

I am also open to giving interview practice for anyone thinking of applying to Oxbridge or one of the many other fine institutes that demand an interview. Having been in several interviews myself, I can give advice on how to answer general questions, as well as give example questions from my experiences.

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored before in my school; I was part of the Mentoring Society from year 11 onwards, in which I taught younger years (especially those taking their GCSE exams)

Tutoring Approach:

I'm a very relaxed person, and so I am open to tutoring in many different ways depending on the personal choice of the tutee. I am willing to explain a particular topic, or go through questions that have been answered before the session. However, I would say that working through past papers is usually the most effective way to practice and also identify the areas in which the tutee is having difficulties. My only request is that I'm told beforehand which area/questions/past paper we should work through, to give me time to prepare!

Personal Description:
I am a qualified doctor from Imperial College London (MBBS 2014) having recently obtained a first class bachelors of science in Management (Hons) from Imperial College Business School in 2012.

Earlier in my school career I achieved GCSE's of 6A*'s and 3A's. Thereafter during my A Levels I received 3A's and a B(further mathematics). I was offered to study Medicine at every medical school I applied to in 2008 (Imperial, UCL, King's and QMUL) as well as a place to study Maths at Warwick. Furthermore I was offered a scholarship recommendation by Imperial for entry into medicine. I have won an international maths competition with my school in 2008, as well as being recommended as an outstanding business talent by my school. I represented Imperial at the Universities Business Challenge reaching the semi final stage.

Teaching Experience:

Whilst at school and at university I have helped numerous students to enhance their exam results or application forms for University. Over the last few years I have tutored several students in the subjects that I am currently offering.

I am currently a private tutor under Kensington and Chelsea tutors. Additionally I also have the experience of freelance private tutoring, most recently GCSE Physics, Maths and Chemistry as well as A Level Maths (Academic year 2012/13). I predominantly find myself tutoring hard working students who require further confidence to succeed in challenging subjects. My philosophy is to offer a semi-structured approach to questions, where I push the student in the right direction, but ultimately they work out the answers themselves. This enhances their confidence and leaves them more independent come exam time. Notably five students that I've mentored have successfully applied to Imperial Medicine, including my younger brother.

Other than private tutoring I have a diverse set of teaching skills through various roles. One example is an annual entry to medicine course, PotMed, whereby I coached students through their personal statements as well as through the daunting interview process. I've also received formal peer tutor training from the Imperial College faculty to facilitate teaching other Medical students.

Last year I worked closely with secondary school students as a maths teacher for three weeks at a school in London under the SAS teaching scheme. I had the satisfaction of working one on one with students of varying abilities and varying interests.

Note: I am happy to conduct group tutoring sessions at a lower than quoted rate. Also all of my one-to-one sessions are in two hour blocks. Unfortunately I cannot travel to the tutee for one hour only.

Tutoring Approach:

I remain a humble and grounded individual and believe principles like these will doubtlessly help me as a tutor. I am always happy to help wherever I can. Importantly I place a great emphasis on the understanding of concepts. My role is not to spoon feed information but to enhance the knowledge of the pupil overall.

The nature of education today is highly competitive and a stressful environment for many children and parents alike. My overall philosophy is to simplify the process and put students at ease. By making difficult concepts look easy, tough subjects will be simpler to tackle and the motivation to pursue a promising career will come naturally.

Personal Description:
My name is Michael and my students usually call me Mickey. I am a qualified Maths and Mandarin teacher.I have finished my master degree from University of Southampton with distinction, PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Mathematics)) from King's College London and I also finished my undergraduate study with first class degree from University of Southampton as well. I was working as trader assistant ( yellow jacket ) in a top bank before changing to become a maths teacher. I have over six years experience in primary, entrance exam, GCSE and A-Level maths tutoring. I am always passionate for tutoring and I know how to make students' learning process enjoyable. My strong reputation has been built on my ability to improve my students' varying skills, ability and exam skills. I have unrivaled patience and understanding and I am able to bring the best maths tutoring experience to my students. I also have set up my own website with helpful maths resources for my students.

In 2011, I attended 3rd Mandarin Teacher Training which was held by Chinese government in London and I have also gained Qualified Mandarin Teaching Certification which was awarded and admitted by both Chinese and British government. (Original Copy on request). I am also a member of British Mathematical Association (BMA), London Mathematical Society (LMS), Association of Teachers of Mathematics (ATM) and British Society for Research into Learning Mathematics (BSRLM).

Teaching Experience:

Currently I am working as a Maths and Mandarin teacher in a college. I am also working with many Tutoring Agencies as five star rated tutor like Top Tutors,Galaxies Learning and Delta Tutors. Unlike other tutors, I only teach limited number of students to ensure quality. My A-Level students successfully entered top universities like LSE, Warwick University, Imperial College and other elite Russell Group universities. Other students successfully got through entrance examination to top independent schools like City of London School, North London Collegiate School, Channing School and Merchant Taylors' School.

Education:

King's College London
Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Mathematics) (PGCE)

University of Southampton
MSc. in Accounting and Finance (Distinction)

University of Southampton
BSc. in Accounting and Finance (First Class)

Tutoring Approach:

Quality is everything for me. Apart from the highest teaching quality I am pursuing, my rate is also competitive as I was a student, I know how important it is to have someone to help at reasonable price. However, the normal rate is usually high. For me, I only charge reasonable price.

Recent International Student Assessment (ISA) shows that Chinese students ranked best in the world at maths ( UK is ranked 28th for maths, Source: google "Shanghai students ranked best in the world at maths and science", The Telegraph). As British Chinese, I can tell you the secret of Chinese learning maths. I have a unique method of tutoring which can be adapted whatever the skill level and also unique exam techniques. But my first objective is to target my students' enthusiasm for the subject so they will be passionate to learn mathematics. Practice is also essential for learning maths, but a good tutor knows how to design different questions for effective practice. Finally,I usually believe that learning is a continuing process and if I am honored to be your tutor, I can not only help you learn the knowledge, but also master the art of learning until one day, you will be able to help others like I do.

Personal Description:
Hello, my name is Christopher, I've been teaching for over 9 years. I am currently teaching chemistry and maths at the prestigious City of London School for Girls and have been tutoring since 2005, after graduating from Oxford University (Worcester College 2001 - 2005), with a Masters in Chemistry. Additionally, I have worked as a science and maths teacher on the Government`s `Life Long Learning Scheme`. Professionally I have served as a consultant within the environmental science/engineering sector for a large multinational corporation.

Teaching Experience:

I am a friendly, approachable Oxford educated tutor with over 9 years and 5000 hours tutoring experience, comprising a mix of one-to-one tuition, teaching within small groups as well as larger classroom environments. I have extensive knowledge of all the major examination boards with particular expertise in the OCR, Edexcel, WJEC and AQA syllabuses.

I have previously taught as a Mathematics and Science teacher on the government-funded `Life Long Learning` Scheme, where certain children in my class were affected with learning disabilities such as ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia and various forms of autism.

Additionally, I have passed the GAMSAT medical entrance exam required for certain medical schools within the UK, so can assist with the preparation required for such tests. Furthermore, I also provide numeracy and literacy tuition for those sitting professional or higher education exams, Armed Forces and aircraft/helicopter pilot tests.

Undergraduate tuition is offered to those students studying for degrees that incorporate chemistry modules e.g. Business and Chemistry, foundation courses etc.

I cover Central London Zones 1 - 4.

I have an extensive list of references for your perusal.

Tutoring Approach:

I aim to get the very best out of students using a variety of teaching methods with a strong emphasis on exam technique. I have helped pupils of all ages and abilities both on a one-to-one basis as well as within small groups/large classroom environments.

Every person is different, and every person has his/her own grasping ability whether at home or in school. With this in mind I am very flexible and adaptable in my approach to teaching, and endeavour to create a learning environment where the pupil can thrive.

Personal Description:
Hi, my name is Marc and I live in Maidstone with my wife, Nicola, and our two daughters, Charlotte (10) and Emily (9).

I have worked in the Education / Childcare sector for a little over 15 years working as a tutor to the unemployed (voluntary work), secondary school students and primary age children. I have also worked as an Ofsted registered childminder for children aged from birth to 10 years of age, I still work as an assistant to my wife Nicola BA, who still runs a childminding service registered by Ofsted.

Teaching Experience:

I have worked as a classroom assistant for primary school children where I would take a class so the teacher / teaching assistant, could take time out to tutor year 2 sats children.

I spent a couple of years working as an Unqualified Teacher / Cover Supervisor teaching Maths & ICT at Oldborough Manor School which has now become an academy.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring depends a lot on the personality of the person I am tutoring.
I want the tutee to feel at ease and do my best to assure this by giving positive feedback at every opportunity.
I try my best to make the tuition sessions as fun as possible to ensure that the tutee can connect to them as much as they possibly can.
Tuition can be at my home, online via Skype, or similar.

I currently hold an Enhanced CRB check (2012) and Paediatric First Aid certificate (2013)

Personal Description:
Hi there,

I'm Alan, I'm an Engineering manager with Siemens, I'm married and live in a lovely part of the Hampshire countryside.

Apart from work, I spend a lot of time cycling and walking the nearby parks and hills.

Teaching Experience:

I've been tutoring for 5 years now, and I am trained as a trainer through work, so I've taught both adults and students. I used to run a training team as part of my last job, and understand a lot about different teaching and learning styles.

Since tutoring I've mostly taught 16 and upwards, physics and maths, and occasionally the odd other question!

Tutoring Approach:

My aim is to make the teaching as simple as possible, and let the student work it out themselves with me providing guidance where need be. Physics, and maths in particular, can be daunting - many people just want to get a good grade and move on, which I understand completely, I'm not going to make you love the subjects but help you get to where you want to be.

Personal Description:
I am dedicated, experienced, extremely patient and most of all a knowledgeable tutor.

Teaching Experience:

I am currently teaching in an 11-16 school and have 19 years of experience in teaching Maths. During these years I have had great success with my exam results regardless of pupils abilities.

Tutoring Approach:

I identify pupils weaknesses and help them improve on these over time. As a result this allows pupils to reach and hopefully exceed their target grade/level. My experience will allow me to use the necessary skills for pupils to become much more confident in coping with their areas of weakness.
