I further emphasis the importance of adapting the method of learning instead of just textbook and past-papers. Example of methods which will be utilised are short presentations and mind-maps on different topics areas. In addition, I firmly believe that the tutor and tutee has to build a relationship on trust, which enables them to focus on any area of difficulty and the best method to overcome these. My approach includes keeping regular records including progress reports for both the student and the parent to build up the confidence and highlight the progress of the student. | Personal Description: Hi I am a 26 year old Chartered Accountant. I have a first class maths degree from Reading university. I grew up in Chingford and went to Chingford High School. |
Teaching Experience: I currently have no direct teaching of mathematics. I have helped various colleges study for there professional qualifications and have taken great satisfaction in helping them pass. I believe that i have the necessary skills and techniques to enable students to have a better understanding and hence better chance in passing there exams. |
Tutoring Approach: I believe that passing the exams are the most important outcome of GCSE's. For this reason i believe the most efficient way to learn is through examples that progress in difficulty. I found during my own studies that there was often very few similar examples, this could be confusing and slowed my understanding of the subject. |

| Personal Description: If your child is struggling in a subject, often it is because they don't like their teacher, I know I have been there myself!! I am a friendly, young woman who won't sit there and shout at you if you don't understand I will try every method I can until it's understandable. I can make subjects which have a reputation with kids today as being boring fun and easy!! I am currently an Engineering Masters student with a very high ability in mathematics and physics, as a fun, young woman, I understand students who are struggling and will work with them to improve the areas where they are struggling. Very cheap rates!!! |
Teaching Experience: I have been tutoring 2 students in my home town of Leicester for 4 years now, in maths and physics. Both students have shown large improvements in their school work and have both moved up sets. Now I am based in Nottingham though i can still tutor at weekends in Leicester. |
Tutoring Approach: A young, fresh approach to the subjects, I have been through the same syllabuses and can help students who don't understand methods taught at school by offering different techniques. Often the big problem is confidence in a subject, by getting to know the student I can work on the areas where they lack confidence and when they start to see themselves understanding things and improving it is amazing how far they can get in a subject they thought they hated! |

| Personal Description: i am currently in my first year at kent university doing BSc forensic science. i went to the best college in my country where i did my GCE O Level and GCE A Level |
Teaching Experience: My mother is a primary teacher and i used to assist her in teaching during private tuitions and at the school in which she works. Sometimes she used to leave the class on my responsibility. The kids love me as a teacher. Also, I work for Kumon Learning Centre as a maths teaching assistant where I am in charge of various keystages students, starting from basic maths, which is learning how to count, up to GCE A-Level maths. However, my area of expertise is in O-Level and A-Level maths. |
Tutoring Approach: i believe that the best way to learn is not through rote learning. If the student does not understand when i explain something, i'll find different ways and contexts to explain it and i'll keep doing this until i am satisfied that the student is confident of himself/herself and that he/she can explain it to somebody who has no knowledge on that subject. |

I am an easy going individual who gets along easily with students and motivate them to study hard and excel in their academic environment. one of my strongest strength is undoubtedly my ability to adapt quickly to any challenging environment. I am also very diligent and flexible because I have worked with kids from different cultural backgrounds and ages. I get along easily with kids because of my strong ability to connect with them from the first time and identify their personal needs and focuss on them while teaching. I love working with kids because It is an amasing satisfaction to teach them and see how they grow and become independent and mature. |
Teaching Experience: I have taught Mathematics,Physics and Computer Science at the French International School in Dhaka for about 2 and half years. during that time i was also providing additional support as a tutor to students who needed additional help at school and home. I have a wide experience tutoring students in quantitative subjects and French. I used to work in private with students from the American International School in Dhaka helping them with their homeworks in different subjects. My last job was with the British Primary School in Dhaka where I was teaching Computer Science and French. I did enjoy working with kids because It was very challenging and exciting. I did learn a lot throughout that process. I was also very active organising social football between different international Schools in Dhaka. The aim was to promote sporting exchange between schools. |
Tutoring Approach: I have a very simple approach to tutoring. my philosophy is based on individualized teaching. I believe the best way to get the best out of a kid is to work with the him closely, try to identify his strength and weaknesses and eventually develop a proper strategy to motivate him. I always try to review material covered in classes and make sure students understand them properly and eventually provide additional support related to that material. getting constant feedback is very important to make sure students have assimilated topics being covered. I also believe in patience because all kids can not pick up at the same time. It is therefore important to repeat until the student has understood the topic. Finally, I believe learning is also about having fun so I always try to make a tutoring session as fun as possible. |

| Personal Description: I am a confident, creative, organised person. I am a qualified primary school teacher and have successfully completed my induction year. I am passionate about education and seeing young people progress in their learning. I believe that I would make a good tutor as I have the skills and qualifications that are required for such a job. I am hardworking, reliable, honest and punctual. I enjoy doing voluntary youth and children's work in my own time and I ensure that I take up opportunities that develop myself and my skills as a professional. |
Teaching Experience: I have had one full year's experience in teaching my own class. Prior to my induction year, I completed the four year B.Ed course at The University of Strathclyde. During my university career, I had experience teaching across Scotland: Glasgow, East Renfrewshire, Inverness and Thurso. Before I began university, I also gained experience as a classroom assistant in Honduras, Central America. This provided me with a valuable cultural experience that has greatly influenced the person and teacher I am today. Since, I have also volunteered in other countries such as Africa and Canada to enhance my knowledge of different cultures and education. During my induction year, I taught a primary four class in a rural school. In my class, I worked with two children who had additional support needs and I gained experience in planning and implementing learning opportunities for these children. I was a member of the literacy working party, where I was involved in developing the literacy programme within the school. Inside and outside of school, I believe I have valuable experiences, skills, knowledge, and qualities that make me highly suitable for the role as a tutor of the primary stage. |
Tutoring Approach: As a tutor, I would use my knowledge and experience to plan appropriate teaching and activities to cater for and meet the student's needs. Prior to attending each session, I would also ensure that I had gathered motivating and engaging resources to enhance the tutoring that I would provide. This would be responsive to the student's age, stage and interests. My tutoring style would be underpinned by the present Scottish Curriculum: Curriculum for Excellence. I would plan and implement tutoring that tried to meet all seven principles: Breadth, depth, challenge and enjoyment, progression, coherence, relevance and personalisation and choice. I would maintain a positive and supportive approach throughout all of my tutoring sessions and work hard to meet each individual's needs. |

| Personal Description: I am a qualified teacher working in upper Key Stage Two. I am qualified to teach all national curriculum subjects. I have a calm and positive manner which ensures children feel comfortable and confident to try their best. In my experience this approach allows children to achieve the best of their potential. |
Teaching Experience: I have experience of working with children aged from 4 to 15 years old. I have taught widely in schools in this country, taught English as a foreign language within mainland Europe and have tutored children of various ages. |
Tutoring Approach: I have a varied approach to teaching; the style and manner of delivery is ascertained by the child and I consistently retain flexibility in planning of sessions in order that progress is adapted to suit the individual needs of the child. I also combine interactive and fun sessions with more traditional written and independent work. I would ideally provide work to be completed outside of scheduled sessions to encourage understanding to become more deeply embedded. |
