Personal Description:
I have Special Needs University qualifications and counseling skills, which enables me to tutor students that may encounter emotional difficulties in their learning. I believe that motivation is the key factor to tutoring, as it needs to be addressed continuously in the process of learning.

Teaching Experience:

I have been a private tutor for the past 14 years preparing students for +11, +13 exams in English and Maths. I also teach Maths up to A level.

I am a certified therapist in PhonoGraphix method for addressing spelling and reading difficulties both for children and adults.

I could also help with learning computers (ECDL syllabus including usage of Word, PowerPoint, Internet, Excel).

Tutoring Approach:

I have Special Needs University qualifications and counselling skills, which enables me to tutor students that may encounter emotional difficulties in their learning. I believe that motivation is the key factor to tutoring, as it needs to be addressed continuously in the process of learning.

As a tutor, I encourage my students to reflect upon their mistakes and to understand how to tackle the next step of their learning, without having a negative response.

I usually have the first lesson together with the parents so that the student feels comfortable and parents can observe my teaching; I present a folder containing the CRB form, qualifications, QTS certificate and letters of recommendations from parents. I teach from home in a calm and stimulating environment.
The first lesson is only paid if the parent decides to continue tuition.

I am mum to two boys, both now at Bournemouth University. I try to visit them as much as I can...Bournemouth is a great place to be...lots of sunshine! In my spare time, I love to shop and also exercise, especially pilates. Oh and I do love to cook!

Teaching Experience:

I studied at Dundee College of Education where I gained a Diploma in Primary Education. This was a three year course. I then took another Certificate in Early Years. After leaving College, I taught in both the state and private primary sector. I left teaching to have my children and then to nurse my youngest child who was quite sick for a few years. Once his health was better, I started working as a tutor from home or going to the client's house to tutor. I now tutor seven days a week. I have experience in Maths, Language, Phonics and Grammar. I also tutor children in preparation for entrance exams in to the independent sector, which includes Verbal, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Maths, Language and Spelling. The children I have tutored have all had great success, many going forward for a scholarship.

Tutoring Approach:

I always believe that the child should feel comfortable with the person they are being tutored by and build up a good relationship. Tutoring is not only about helping the child to succeed but also for them to gain confidence and self belief. I have various methods of tutoring from written work, reading and oral work. I also have a computer available where we can work from. eg online games After each lesson, I give the child homework to be completed for the next lesson.

Personal Description:
I have recently completed a master's degree in Economics and am planning to pursue a PhD in the upcoming year. The exposure I gained throughout my studies has enabled me to become an extremely responsible, organized and motivated person and I put in utmost effort towards achieving my goals. My experiences have certainly allowed me to obtain skills which are necessary for this specific field.

Teaching Experience:

Over the past 7 years, I have been teaching A-Level Mathematics and Economics. I also teach degree level Economics, Mathematics, Statistics and Econometrics.

My students are from top universities- some of which include University of Cambridge, LSE, Royal Holloway, University College London, University of Bristol, Regents Business School, University of Edinburgh, King's College London, University of Warwick, University of Bath, University of Manchester, CAS Business School and the University of Westminster.

I also mentor students facing difficulties in terms of selecting modules and guide them during exam preparations. I also tutor students studying foundation degrees in order to assist them in achieving the grades required for universities they aspire to join.

Tutoring Approach:

I have always possessed a passion for working with young people, focusing on discussing their individual goals in order to be the window through which many young people will see their future. I focus on motivating my students by using creative and inspirational methods of teaching. What makes me stand out from the rest of the crowd is my different approach in teaching because of which students enjoy my classes and seek out to me for new ideas. My goal is not to simply teach students, it more about investing in them with all my effort. I have always believed in helping students in setting realistic goals and assisting them in achieving standards which maximize their potential. I seek ways to branch out my knowledge and passion for teaching. Gaining confidence and trust of my students is essential to me. Personal Description:
I won a Scholarship to Eton College when I was ten years old and won another three years later. After getting straight A*'s at GSCE, I went on to study Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, Economics and Physics at AS level. Again, after attaining the highest grades at AS, I was advised to drop Chemistry and went on to complete my A levels (A*A*AA). Currently I am studying Economics and Management at Oxford University - final year.

Teaching Experience:

I have helped teach primary school children before at Eton Wick First School. Other experience I have includes a tutee I helped last year with AS level maths and writing AS maths notes for a firm so that they could make tutoring videos online.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to approach tutoring by adapting to the tutee's needs. I always ask what is needed to be covered for their understanding and so it would be up to any tutee to know what they struggle on. If they do not know, I like to test their knowledge of the syllabus and filling in any gaps. When I go through a topic, I do often go through it in detail so that the tutee can not only answer questions, but also understand what they are doing. (I find that the problem with Maths is that some students can get the answer, without understanding what they have done.)

Personal Description:
I am sixty-five years of age and have retired after working as a Maths teacher since 1973. I was head of a Maths faculty in a large secondary school for over twenty years. I have a wide experience of preparing students for Mathematics examinations at all levels and have been an examiner throughout my career, working at different times for Edexcel, AQA, OCR, CIE and the IB.

This summer, I am marking Further Pure 1, Statistics and Mechanics A-level modules as well as the IB HL Mathematics and Statistics module.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught at secondary schools in Wolverhampton, Kidderminster and Walsall. Since retiring from full-time employment, I have worked part-time at an A-level college and as a Maths consultant assisting GCSE students in Walsall in their attempts to achieve the all important grade C pass. I currently help a number of private tutees in either a one-to-one situation or in small groups.

Tutoring Approach:

Generally, I would say my approach to tutoring is traditional. The exact program of study depends on the needs of the tutee and can vary from a structured programme of study over a number of months to cramming for examinations which might just be a short course of two or three lessons.

I have a proven record of success and can provide testimonials if required.

Areas covered: Dudley, Wolverhampton, Kidderminster and Sandwell

CRB certificate available for inspection.

Personal Description:
I recently retired from teaching where I had been a class teacher and held posts of responsibility from core subject leader for English, Maths and science to Special Needs coordinator, Behaviour Manager and more recently a Head and Deputy headteacher.
I have loved working with children for well over 30 years and believe there is no better or more fulfilling a job than to work with children. I also know, having had 7 children myself, that they can be challenging and frustrating as well as wonderfully fulfilling.
Children get one chance to succeed. We as parents often feel frustrated and helpless when trying to help our children understand a concept they are struggling with. Our lack of understanding of the method, a lack of confidence in our ability to support them and their reluctance to have 'mum or dad' show them leads to frustration.
This is where a tutor can help both parents and child. We all need a little help or support at some time. This can be a short or long term programme of support - a confidence boost or a more structured programme of support. This is where an experienced hand is invaluable.
I am very caring and supportive teacher who prides himself on preparing an individual support programme to meet the needs of the tutee and is delivered using approaches to match their learning styles and utilising approaches that support their learning.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught in secondary and primary schools for over 30 years. For the last 25 years I have a been a primary school teacher and senior leader specialising in supporting children with special needs and especially those less and more able pupils with English and Maths.
In addition, I was a mentor in local secondary schools where I was responsible for supporting pupils aged 11-16 in a number of curriculum areas. These study skills, exam preparation, as well as, curricular areas like English, Maths and science. Many of whom where tutored on an individual basis.
I have worked for 2 years now as a tutor. Most of my students come from referrals from my current parents, which I take great pride in. I am confident that the children I tutor receive the highest quality support because work is individually prepared for them, their progress is monitored and parents see the results very quickly.
I also work as an independent TEFL teacher working with children from across the world aged from 5 -50 years. Some of these are groups but I now specialise in one to one support which enables me to use my tutoring skills to greater effect.

Tutoring Approach:

As a tutor I believe it is important to follow some very key principles.
1. Always start from what the tutee knows therefore I always start with some sort of baseline analysis. This is always carried out in a very informal and relaxed manner. This enables me as a tutor you need to identify what he/she can and cannot do.
2. I am always happy to work closely with the tutees school if agreed/wanted to identify areas they are working on to support school work.
3. Work in an environment where the tuttee feels safe and comfortable. Very often this is at home in an area to work quietly.
4. Make the learning as much fun as possible and as appropriate and individual to their needs.
4.To create , as quickly as possible, a relationship with the tutee. They need to feel safe, comfortable and at ease - this makes both learning and teaching more effective.

Personal Description:
I am a mechanical engineer with MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development from University of Cambridge.

Teaching Experience:

I was involved in conducting the training camp for the selection of the team that represented Pakistan in the 36th International Physics Olympiad, held in Spain. I was involved in conducting exams, practicals, marking, teaching as well as coordinating tutorials sessions with professors.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to take a practical approach to teaching. I want to give an intuitive feel to the students to help him grasp complex concepts. I do this by giving everyday examples to highlight the subjects under study. I want to
make science fun, cool and intuitive for students and remove the myth and misconceived perception that it is difficult and boring. If the teaching approach is correct, there is no reason why students will not be thrilled by laws and mechanisms of universe.

Personal Description:
Hello and thanks for taking the time to browse my profile.
I am available to tutor up to any level of Spanish, as well as up to GCSE level French or Maths.

Teaching Experience:

I`m an experienced classroom teacher available for French, Spanish or Maths tuition.
I studied BSc Accounting with Spanish before taking my PGCE, and I have experience of tutoring English to Spanish schoolchildren as a language assistant, and also of tutoring English to individuals privately in their own homes.
I am now a full time teacher of French and Spanish in one of the top boarding schools in England, having previously worked in an "outstanding" secondary school, where I tutored children (one-to-one) in Maths after school, after having completed a short course in one-to-one tutoring provided by Hertfordshire LEA.
I am also currently studying for my MEd in Educational Psychology, which I hope to complete soon. I have recently completed the CCRS qualification.

Tutoring Approach:

I am able to tailor my lessons to suit the individual needs of each student, whether it be focussed on Speaking, Listening, Reading or Writing (for the languages), or any specific topic for Maths.
I hope to talk to you soon.

Personal Description:
I graduated from Imperial College in Mathematics and stayed on to carry out research in Applied Mathematics to Diploma Level. I have always had a keen interest and enthusiasm for the subject. I have had a very varied career and have worked as a technical computer programmer as well as in Maths teaching in this country and abroad.
I have recently returned from the Middle East to my home in Tunbridge Wells and have four grown-up children.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught Mathematics in schools and F.E. colleges in the UK and in the United Arab Emirates up to G.C.S.E. and A Level.
I also tutored students both in this country and in Dubai with great success. In fact I was selected by my Dubai school to tutor the children of the Royal Family. This consistently resulted in excellent results for my students.
My own four children studied Maths to A level and I tutored them throughout their education.

Tutoring Approach:

I thoroughly enjoy private tuition and tailor each lesson to suit the requirements of the individual student. I find it best if the student brings me their difficulties / problem topics to be worked on. I can also discover where help is needed by working through questions with the student. I have often been told that I give extremely clear explanations and that I have great reserves of patience.

I teach at my home in Tunbridge Wells. I can offer tuition in secondary Mathematics up to and including GCSE.

Personal Description:
I just got my Master degree in Materials Engineering (110 out of 110 with Honors) at Universitą degli Studi di Napoli "Federico II" (Italy) and I am now into my second year of a PhD in nano-biotechnology in the Department of Materials at Imperial College London.

During my degree I had the opportunity to work in different teams with strong focus on nanotechnologies driven by cutting-edge technology and frontline innovation.

My experiences around Europe enriched my ability to work in groups and multicultural environments and I developed a good flexibility.

My experience as competitive rower (rowed for the Italian Junior team) allowed me to consolidate a strong sense of discipline and the ability to work with strong determination and dedication to achieve my goals.

Teaching Experience:

For the past two years I have been teaching in Higher education as Teaching Assistant at Imperial College for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Department of Materials.

Previous experiences include one-to-one tutoring for university students in math, chemistry and physics.

Tutoring Approach:

The learning cycle will be articulated in three phases.

Theory: Will explore the subject and evidence its relevant aspects

Activity: The understanding will be developed and experimented

Application: The subject will be generalized and there will be an investigation of deeper connections between different topics/courses.

I will make sure that the student is ready for the assessment and knows the importance of his/her targets. I will also help to improve the management of time and tasks.

Personal Description:
I am a fully qualified, very experienced teacher who is committed to providing the kind of support I would expect my own children to receive from a private tutor.
Tutoring is my main occupation which gives me the time (and energy!) to commit fully to developing the potential of my students through well planned and resourced activities.

Teaching Experience:

Having been a classroom teacher for 16 years, I continue to enjoy helping students achieve their full potential. I have taught students with a wide range of educational requirements and adapted my teaching in order to provide the best guidance and support.
Also, I have been a specialist English leader in a primary setting and, latterly, a member of a Senior Management Team. Fulfilling these roles required an in-depth knowledge of the Curriculum and the skills to make it accessible and enjoyable for all.
My experience has also included teaching smaller groups requiring more focussed support in English and Maths and for test preparation.
In addition, I have taught English as a Foreign Language to children and adults, specialising in functional English.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that learning should be a very positive experience. Sometimes, for a range of reasons, learners may become disenchanted. I am aware that individuals do not all learn in the same way and it is my aim to give targeted support, the right level of challenge and, most importantly, personalised guidance delivered with patience and kindness.
My own enthusiasm for learning and my sense of humour have proved successful with students, in particular those requiring a confidence boost in order to make further or more rapid progress.
My hourly rates cover travel up to 15 miles. However, I am willing to travel further for a small, additional fee to cover mileage and time.

Personal Description:
Hi, I a student at Imperial College London, currently going to my third year of Bionegineering. I have been told that I am a very dilligent and hardworking student, and am very passionate about eveyrthing I do.
On the academic side of things, I believe that I have gone through the rigorous education system and passed with flying colours, which are clearly shown by my results. I obtained 11 A*s for the IGCSE examinations, a score of 43 out of 45 for the International Baccalaureate, and also first class honours for both of my years at Imperial College.
Furthermore, I believe that I would make an excellent teacher, as I will find the time to make sure that you understand even the most convoluted problems. I have helped many friends throughout college and university with their work, and they all seem to understand what I am explaining to them.

Teaching Experience:

I volunteered as a science and math teacher at an orphanage for a month, and I`ve also tutored piano to a few student for a period of three months.
Furthermore, I've also mentored a few friends through high school, college, and university, and they have always managed to grasp the concept that I explain to them.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is simple: I would normally assess what my student knows, and try to explain things in terms of the things that he/she does know. I believe that this enables the student to clearly understand the subject better.
Furthermore, I myself have been stuck on a subject, unable to understand what do next. However, once the material has been properly explained to me in a more understandable and creative frame of mind, I would suddenly be able to grasp this complicated subject. Therefore, I would employ this similar method of having a creative frame of mind to be able to better understand the subject.
