Personal Description:
I am an LSE Economics BSc (Hons) Graduate and am currently pursuing an MSc in Management at London Business School. Upon graduation I will be joining McKinsey & Company as a Business Analyst.

Teaching Experience:

I have extensive tutoring experience; I have been tutoring for over 5 years. I have, in the past, tutored Sciences, Languages, Maths and Economics but currently only tutor Maths and Economics. All my students have been extremely happy with the results they have seen. References are available upon request.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that the understanding and grasping of concepts is the single most valuable thing a good tutor can provide to his or her students. This is my focus. I make sure students understand the concepts they are studying, and then turn the attention to helping them hone their technique in applying these concepts in different exam scenarios.

I guarantee the utmost quality and preparation for each lesson and, for any willing student, the best results given the time period and student's starting point. I am happy to offer a discount on student's first lessons to trial my tutoring approach.

Personal Description:
Experienced and highly qualified tutor, holding a PhD in economics and an LSE economics degree, who specialises in helping university students.

I have a degree in Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE), a Masters in Economics of the European Union from the College of Europe in Bruges, and a PhD in economics from Utrecht University in the Netherlands. I am therefore qualified to teach economics (any subject) and European studies.

Teaching is an activity that I deeply enjoy, and for which I have great enthusiasm. The feedback which I received from students I taught in the past was very positive, and has further increased my desire to continue teaching. In particular, I was told that my teaching had inspired students, and had made complex subjects appear simple and interesting.

Teaching Experience:

I have an extensive experience of providing private tuition in economics to university students (for example, I have taught students from the LSE and UCL, among several other institutions). Courses include: economics; microeconomics; macroeconomics; economics of the EU; economics of the public sector; industrial economics; game theory; political economy; economic history; EU studies.

My teaching experience also includes delivering lectures on European Studies to postgraduate students at the College of Europe, as well as teaching seminars of public sector economics to undergraduate students at Utrecht University.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching is results-focused. I first discuss with the student what are his/her objectives (this may be achieving top marks at a final exam, being able to undertake exercises given as homework, or increasing their understanding of certain aspects of a subject). We then devise together a work plan, to ensure that the student meets those goals.

This approach has been very successful in the past, as it is not only important to understand a certain subject, but also to be prepared for the particular type of examination or assessment that the student will need to face.

Personal Description:
I am a very experienced Mathematics specialist. I have taught Mathematics at every level, high school to university students. Analysis Real and Complex, Algebra, Probabilities, Statistics, Operational Research,Calculus, Numerical Analysis, Financial Maths etc. I have a passion for maths, have written books on Analysis and Mathematics Competitions. I prefer challenging, searching students who seek the essence behind the strict mathematical formalism, but certainly I can help anyone armed with a will to learn. Last, but not least, all this interdisciplinary experience gives me a powerful base for helping students.

Teaching Experience:

20 years of teaching, including teaching students from UK universities, Oxford-Brookes, Edinburgh, Kent in Higher Maths, I have written books in Real and Complex analysis ( in Greek) and exercises for mathematical competitions (in English)
I have Bsc in mathematics and Masters in Banking and Finance. I have taught Financial Management for an institute of professional education.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that the core of mathematical concepts is always extremely simple and aesthetically pleasing. Once the student unlocks his own abilities, he can have phenomenal success. I adopt this approach and it is not unusual to change diametrically the maths viewpoint of a student.

Personal Description:
I am a final year full-time undergraduate studying an external LSE degree in BSc Accounting and Finance under a full scholarship, I am also currently applying to MSc Economics courses starting September 2014 as I am committed to becoming an expert in the field

Outside of university and in addition to tutoring I work as a swimming instructor for Fusion leisure centres and Nuffield Health teaching pupils ranging in age from 2 to 40+ in individual and groups lessons on a weekly basis. I have been in this role since 2009 and have thoroughly enjoyed it I also find it a nice complement to tutoring.

Recreationally I swim up to three times per week and play five- a - side fortnightly a remnant of my more sporting days as a school and college student. During that time I competed on many sports teams including Rugby, Hockey, Water Polo and Cricket.

Teaching Experience:

I have been a Mathematics and Economics tutor for 3 years in this time my reliability and skill has enabled me to develop a good reputation which has allowed me to have a consistent base of 12 - 16 students on a weekly basis.
I have had great successes evidenced by this year's A-Level results where a student who originally scored an E as AS- Level achieved an A grade at A2 Level after 8 months of help and I also had two pupils admitted into their first choice secondary schools after passing their entrance tests.
Prior to this I tutored Mathematics and Science for friends and family successfully getting 3 students through key stage 3 and GCSE exams.

I have also been a swimming instructor 2009 and have been very successful at motivating pupils to achieve remarkable progress. Additionally I have 12 years of experience as a Saxophonist with my highest official examination being a Grade 6 Jazz exam.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching approach embodies a long term approach to learning I teach students in a way which will allow them to be successful in higher study as well as their more short term exams. I also try to make students more confident in their abilities overall not just the material I teach.

I strongly believe that a solid understanding of basic principles is the foundation to success in academic study. I concentrate a lot of time and energy on instilling these basic principles in students.

I am also a strong believer in understanding over 'rope learning' I ensure that pupils understand what they are doing and why they are doing it, never encouraging them to simply regurgitate what they have seen previously.

I also encourage practical understanding of concepts frequently referencing real world examples and using objects to illustrate theory as I recognise that theory on its own given no relevance is harder to remember. Supplementary to this I also relate teaching material to potential job roles and tasks which I have knowledge of (mostly Banking or Business related) in order communicate usefulness to students and keep things interesting.

Finally I believe teaching successfully is ultimately about listening to your students I constantly encourage students to question things and express anything they don't understand or are not too sure of. If a student looks unsure or hesitant about something I will ask open questions or get them to explain concepts to me in order to fully grasp their understanding. This also helps build their confidence and ability to express themselves accurately.

Personal Description:
I am a trustworthy and highly motivational person and I bring these qualities to tutoring. I have completed my first year studying BSc Economics at the University of Birmingham gaining an overall 2:1 grade with a 1:1 in the Mathematical module of the exam. At A-Levels I studied Mathematics, Economics and Biology to A2 and Chemistry to AS at Loughborough Grammar School.

Teaching Experience:

I was a Corporal in the CCF Army at school where I was in charge of 10 cadets to whom I taught basic training. This included not only fieldwork where I taught First Aid but also class work in the form of the history of the Army. I have helped 11 year olds from the surrounding Loughborough area in Mathematics and Biology 'masterclasses' held by my school for gifted students. I volunteered at my old primary school during an extended holiday where I helped students from 5 years old to 11 years old.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe every student is unique and therefore the approach I take will vary. Some children may require more of a guiding hand while others will require much more help to bring their confidence up which in turn will allow them to succeed. Mathematics is a beautiful and extremely fun subject and that is what I will bring to my style of tutoring.

Personal Description:
I first became interested in teaching through working as a private tutor with GCSE students, something I am doing since I finished my graduation, training to become a leader in the process. This made me realise I enjoyed working with the people in their learning process, and college experience confirmed tutoring/teaching as a career choice. My subsequent one-year PGCE has served further to fire my enthusiasm and prepared me effectively to take responsibility for learners.

I am currently waiting for the result of PGCE in Maths at the University of Greenwich and completing a 60 credits level 5 Mathematics module at the Open University. I have successfully completed a Masters and a BSc in Economics, City & Guilds adult numeracy level 1 & 2, GCSE English, Diploma in Computer Science & Application and I am a Certified Internet Webmaster Associate.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught general maths and functional maths 16 to over 19 year old students at the Tower Hamlets College. In addition, I worked as a Teaching Assistant of key stage 4 for over two and half years in a co-educational, multi-cultural secondary school and helped students in Maths, English, Science and ICT and I have been privately tutoring primary and secondary maths, A level maths and Economics on one-to-one basis since 2003. My academic education and teaching practices have given me a good understanding of the curriculum and of what makes effective teaching.

Tutoring Approach:

I make a conscious effort to ensure I am not just catering for visual learners like myself, but try to see lessons through other learners' eyes. For example, to introduce pictograms to numeracy entry level class, I got the learners to create 'human pictograms' arranged by name length, pets, eye colour, etc. and then transferred that information as pictograms to the board. Kinaesthetic learners were thereby catered for in the physical movement and manipulation, visual learners in the pictograms created on the board and audio learners as we discussed and interpreted the graphs.

I have in particular come to understand the value of sharing learning objectives and success criteria with students. Knowing exactly what is expected and how they can achieve allow learners to focus more clearly on tasks.

I feel it is important to make learning interesting and creative, and one way to achieve this is using real life example; this allows learners to explore and understand situations and express feelings, thoughts and emotions. An example of how I have successfully used real life situation was with a GCSE class, working out the area of the classroom to decide the correct amount of carpet needed for the classroom. I gave the students measuring tape to measure the length and width of the classroom. They were incredibly enthusiastic and threw themselves into the task. They found this a fun, enjoyable and worthwhile learning experience, which enabled them to better understand the situation and empathise with those concerned.

Personal Description:
I have spent many years accumulating a wide range of academic qualifications, and my work has often primarily consisted of passing on my knowledge to others in a form they can understand. I get a lot of satisfaction from helping people to understand something they thought was beyond them. By virtue of having studied several subjects at a high level, I empathise with the feeling of finding something difficult, and have the patience and technique to get past this. I am not a single-subject specialist who might find it difficult to understand why others struggle in their area of expertise.
For students who are preparing for exams, my knowledge of examination technique, and an empathy with the marker, should be invaluable. I always keep in mind the importance of the student's goals, but never take myself too seriously.

Teaching Experience:

My whole career has been geared towards some form of teaching. I have trained groups of adults and children, as well as individuals, in elements of mathematics, psychology, actuarial science, pensions, and even tennis! Recently I tutored my 14 year-old son (who attends a sports academy, not a mainstream school) in three IGCSEs, for which he obtained excellent grades.

Tutoring Approach:

I look at what is important for the student. I emphasise clear, logical ways of working, and clear presentation. I make sure that they realise that they not only need to understand why they are doing something, but they must also be able to explain it clearly. Explaining a difficult concept to someone else can often be the best way to make yourself remember it. I am calm and patient, and English is my first language, all of which can help when a student finds something tricky.

I am consistently available for tutoring during weekday daytimes. I will sometimes be available in the evenings and at weekends, but this will be by arrangement and should not be relied upon.

Personal Description:
I am a final year Engineering student at Coventry University. I study modules related to Computers, Electronics and Business. Before coming to Coventry I attended Manipal University, India. I have been in Coventry for over 3 years now and live close to the King Henry VIII school.
Apart from that I come from a family of academics, with me being the 4th generation interested in teaching.

Teaching Experience:

I have teaching people around me all the time. Started at home with helping out my younger sister with her maths and science. A couple of more kids living in the neighborhood would often drop by to get some or the other doubt cleared.
This tendency carried forward while I was attending Manipal University; Engineering students as such are quite a lot into group study at times. This is where I started helping out more people and realized I had a flair for teaching.
I worked with Dragonfly Education, India, It is an e-learning firm who are into development of e-study material for the Engineering spectrum. I worked on the product development team where I created a teaching methodology and the structured the course curriculum accordingly.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching is quite structured. There needs to be a smooth pattern in order to learn. A structured curriculum with a patient and guided approach is the key to learning. A constant appraisal of the student keeps track of the progress of the student. Apart from that A proper feedback and corrective measures also go a long way in ensuring the progress of the student.

Personal Description:
I am 22 years old. Studied Economics at Girton College, University of Cambridge for 2 years before transferring to Biomedical Sciences which I now study at University of Manchester.

Teaching Experience:

Spent the last year tutoring multiple students in Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Physics at school level and also a first year undergraduate for Economics.

Tutoring Approach:

Personally I find it easier to learn a topic when it interests me. Many people struggle with subjects because they cannot relate to what they are learning. Consequently I find ways for people to relate to their topics and connect with what they are trying to learn. Furthermore, even the most complex concepts can be broken down into simpler ideas that, when combined, give a clearer understanding. Also, everyone has different techniques to learning: some prefer to learn with words, others using diagrams and brain maps, some prefer to answer many questions or learn by discussing topics with someone. I like to find out what method is best for a student and build on that.

Personal Description:
Currently work for a top accountancy firm as an accountant, I have a passion for Business and Maths with a strong and rigorous approach to solving problems. My first Bachelors is in Investment & Financial Risk Management which has given me a strong foundation in core areas of finance and its applicability to business and economics. My second degree which I am still studying for is in Applied Mathematics and Statistics which is giving me the scientific background I seek.

Teaching Experience:

I taught Maths and English to kids and teenagers at Explore Learning for 9 months where I quickly found myself working in an environment which suited my natural ability to communicate complex concepts to students of disparate abilities. This is something which I would like to continue.

Tutoring Approach:

Its always important to understand the students background before you even begin to touch the subject matter, this gives you an idea of what level you need to teach at and how best to communicate the concepts which need to be taught. This may require one to change both body language and verbal communication used. There are 3 types of learners the visual, auditory and kinaesthetic learners. Most people are a combination of all 3 but will generally have a stronger preference to one of these areas. The best approach is one which utilizes all 3 but also makes use of the students natural learning style.

Personal Description:
I am a Undergraduate student pursuing Economics. I have successfully completed my GCSEs ranging from all A*-B . I have recently completed my A-levels which also range from A*-B in History, Maths, Economics and Philosophy.

Currently I have started my own home business specialising in fashion retail after gaining my experience from working with a big fashion retailer for a year.

I am really enthusiastic about studies and strive for perfection in all the responsibilities which are handed to me. I enjoy working with young people and understand that organisation is key alongside adaptation to meet each tutees needs.

Teaching Experience:

I have previously worked in Emberhurst School based in Esher as a voluntary teachers assistant for 6 months and have worked with children of various ages. This has allowed me to understand the patience and the attitude needed to handle many suitations. This has grown my confidence in my ability to tutor and work with young people.

I have been involved in many roles such as a Peer Mediator in secondary school where I dealt with children in the age range of 10-12 in order to help them settle in. Additionally I have also taken on the role of a Student Ambassador where I communicated effectively with parents which helped me understand what they want for their children.

Tutoring Approach:

I understand that tutoring requires for the tutor to have confidence in their tutee as well as understanding that no two flowers blossom the same way; neither do two children learn in the same way. Therefore I believe that one to one tutoring should always be tailored in order to understand the tutees strengths and weaknesses.

As a student I know what is required for exam success and want to boost anyone I can help, to achieve it. This will involve regular assignments and homework as practice is needed to develop the tutees skills.

Furthermore receiving regular feedback for parents as well as tutees is vital in order to keep track of progress as well as understanding what stage the tutee is on. I am available to work any time until September then September onwards I would be only offering weekend tutoring.

FEEDBACK RECEIVED:

Sarah (Primary Maths): "My daughter is really enjoying her maths tutoring & although me have only had two sessions so far it is all going very well.Sonali has a lovely calming manner & friendly personality which is just what I wanted.I feel I have found the right person to help my daughter progress in maths."

"Sonali is an excellent tutor. My daughter is very happy with her and so am I. She is the perfect tutor and I'm glad I made the right choice." (Petra, Year 4 Maths and English)

"Sonali, has been teaching our two son's whom are aged 7 and 9 for two weeks and they are really enjoying it. She takes a keen interest in which subjects they enjoy and which subjects they require improvement on." (Anita,Year 3 and 4 Maths and English)

Personal Description:
I am a highly educated professional Forex- stock trader with many years of experience in trading and mentoring traders. I have worked in different proprietary trading firms and investment funds in Europe.

Teaching Experience:

I have teach many students and traders the last years how to trade successfully in real time Forex , stocks, commodities.

Tutoring Approach:

The purpose of tutorials is to teach mainly experienced or even inexperienced traders how to trade step by step successfully and profitably forex , stocks, commodities, derivatives in REAL TIME hours with REAL MONEY. These are the main differences from any other trading courses which exist in the market right now .

The student will have the great chance, firstly to learn live how hedge funds and proprietary trading firms generate huge amounts of money by trading and secondly the ability to copy my moves in real time creating profit for his own behalf

I do not teach general things that can easily be found in any book (e.g technical analysis, indicators) but strategies and techniques of high probability trading when there is a clear edge on the market in real time and with proved results.

Some of the basic knowledges student will get from the first lessons before we continue to more advanced are the followings:

Monetary policy
Determine levels of risk associated with different financial markets and asset classes
Applying information relating to political turmoil, social unrest, geopolitical risks and incidents, changes and crises and macroeconomic announcements to the execution of successful trades
Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of current and economic affairs, politics, diplomatic issues and of all other factors that could affect market performance
Utilising trading psychology to determine trading success, most critically employing self-discipline and calculated risk taking

Declaration:
Unfortunately there are many dishonest companies and individuals in the trading industry which promise to naive people that there are secrete trading systems that will generate them a 70% profit return into few weeks . The reality is different. Trading requires knowledge, dedication and passion for the markets. Profitability is not easy for a novice trader particularly in a short period of time. I am in a long professional career by spending thousands of hours from my life in trading floors by watching and trading the markets under different dates and market conditions. I strongly believe that I will give my best to convey you my knowledge and profits.

*Ι will provide the student with all the necessary teaching material
