Personal Description:
I am 25 years old. I studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford, where I finished with a first, and studied for an MA at York in Post-war Recovery studies.

My main areas of interest are in philosophy, religious studies and development economics. In philosophy, I particularly find the philosophy of religion and ethics interesting. Regarding international development, I am particularly interested in the issue of peacebuilding.

Outside of studying, I am a keen sportsman and especially enjoy rugby, tennis and football. I love listening to music. I continue to enjoy reading, both fiction and academic works.

Teaching Experience:

I have worked as a personal tutor.

While at sixth form, I was a volunteer mentor on a mentoring program for young people. For those hoping to apply to Oxbridge, I am able to provide some personal feedback and advice about the application process, gleaned from my own experiences.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring focuses on developing discussions rather than providing lectures on topics. I think the key to succeeding in any area of study is developing a passion for the topic in hand, and this is what I will hope to help discover and develop in tutees.

I am an experienced teacher of Business Studies and Economics. I am also an economics EXAMINER so have insight into the summer exams that would prove benefical to you. I have experience in running revision workshops at Christmas, Easter and prior to the summer exams.

I also co run revision exam confidence courses during the Easter at Seaford College. During the revision courses you will work alongside Principal / Chief Examiners, and highly experienced and qualified subject tutors. At Exam Confidence we believe that it is this 3-step approach that will ensure you achieve your ambitions and fulfil the best possible grade that you can.

Students attending one of our innovative revision workshops benefit from small class sizes offering them maximum exposure to the tutor, highly qualified teachers, a senior examiner and a performance psychologist. This mixed approach allows areas of concern to be investigated and explained until subject understanding is clear and exam recall increased.

With AS & A Level January exams fast approaching a one day workshop is the ideal way to ensure that you are exam confident and prepared.

Tutoring Approach:

I will carrry out an inital assessment with you to ascertain where you struggle most of all, following this inital assessment we will set a plan to follow, setting target grades and regular assessment for you to complete. I will ensure that your lessons are fun and interactive but with the main aim of improving your target grade. I will ensure that the lessons are fun, interactive but most important of all ensure that you improve your understanding and therefore your final grade.

I enjoy to meet and greeting people and share my ideas and knowledge to others. I am member of a local youth club where many young people gather and I work and play with them and share my knowledge and ideas with them. Some of them are school leaver and some of them still go to school and colleges. Sometime they ask me questions and sometimes they seek help and support from me while I meet with them. If they have any problem or issues regarding education or career, I help them best of my ability. This helps me to build me a good relation with people from different background and culture.

During my time as a student, I have had a variety of part-time and vacation jobs, all of which have required me to work as part of a team and to deal directly with the public. I found my work on the Customer Service Desk at Tesco's and ICTS particularly valuable in teaching me the important of ascertaining peoples' needs and providing clear and accurate information in response to those needs.

I am IT literate as I have good computer skills and am proficient in Ms-Word, Ms-Excel, PowerPoint, and Ms -Access, Internet and Email packages and Accounting Software Sage Line 50 and Sage lane Payroll

Being able to speak four different languages (English, Hindi, Urdu and Bengali) eases communication, which for me plays a very important role in everyday life. I feel that my communication skills helped me to deal with a range of different people in a positive manner.

I am a keen sportsman, especially enjoying playing tennis, football and bowling. This has allowed me to develop my organisational skills in managing and working as part of a team.

I am part of ACCA qualified and looking forward to be fully qualified. By studying ACCA and by completed master degree with teaching experience is giving me enough knowledge and idea to teach any level and any relevant subjects.

Personal Description:
I am currently studying for my PhD in Cancer Biology at Velindre Hospital as part of Cardiff University.

I worked a year as an Islet Cell Scientist at King's College Hospital.
I have graduated from Queen Mary with a Distinction in my MSc in Cancer Therapeutics.
I have graduated from King's College London (Upper Second Class Hons) in Biomedical Sciences (BSc).
I am living in London and believe that I understand the minds of the younger generation and I can apply different approaches to teaching by using different analogies which can help them understand different concepts and methods.
I have a passion for sports which includes: football, karate and badminton. In addition I enjoy reading in my spare time.

I currently work in the NHS as an Islet Scientist that specializes in Islet Cell transplantation.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught previous students during my A-Levels - helping fellow students in regards to biology and mathematics. In addition I believe that having the background to be able to tutor will reinforce a foundation of teaching fellow students.
I currently work in the library (5 years experience) and I have to constantly be engaged with children in the working environment and offer help with homework as well. So my experience in dealing with children has been present with me until now (ages 5-14).

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that quality is better than quantity and understanding the points is better than regurgitating information.
A methodical approach to teaching pupils and I have the patience to allow the students to ask any queries or questions which may spring to mind. Having been in a similar position, I can easily relate to their confusion and reinforce any worries in regard with their studies. Hopefully you will consider for the tutor role and having read this so far, you will shortlist me hopefully! Communication is key with tutees and being able to talk and listen and explain is crucial for an input of knowledge.

Personal Description:
I live in Sutton Coldfield and work in a Walsall. I have been teaching over 12 years and also work for three major exam boards. I have a current and up to date DBS as required in the profession. I have a passion for teaching and love my job. My aim is to inspire students to attain the most they possibly can and believe with the right support that I can deliver the improvement that other tutors can not. My teaching, tutoring and examination experience put me in a unique position to meet student needs at any level. My A level results for Economics are currently for both AS and A2, in the top 8% of the country and I demand the highest standards from my students. I would describe myself as honest and reliable and am happy to provide references and evidence of any professional concern you may have.

I am both a qualified and experienced professional with access to a range of materials from past exam papers, revision guides for all exam boards as well as my own revision guides/notes based upon my examination work. I offer ongoing support outside of structured lesson time. I have tutored online around the world and this medium allows much greater flexibility and is beginning to meet the needs of all learners. Although you may be skeptical at first (I was) I have been receiving very positive comments regarding online tuition and is an exciting new development that allows access to the tutor that most meets your needs from the comfort of your own home with the usual geographical constraints.

Teaching Experience:

I currently teach all the GCSE, AS and A2 Economics at my school as well as teaching A level Business. I work for three major exam boards, CIE international for GCSE and AS papers, (Econ) OCR AS and AQA for A2. I have been involved in examination work for over 8 years. In addition I have experience of tutoring all exam boards at both AS and A2 and have tutored first year undergraduates from the University of Aston and Nottingham.

Tutoring Approach:

Each individual has different needs. Tutoring is a student orientated service. Firstly, I would identify the desired outcomes of the tuition sessions and how we can achieve those outcomes. Depending on the individual this may mean starting by revising work that has been covered at school/college over a period of time but not understood or it could be regular support with work that is currently being covered. In my experience exam preparation and technique is of vital importance and I aim to teach and support students to increase their individual grade potential through knowledge of the exam, it is important that a student is well prepared going into an examination.

I offer both one to one sessions and also run online group lessons for 50% of my one to one fee. The great thing about this is the focus on exam technique and the addition support you can receive online and part of a select group. (You do not have to provide the group)

Above all and what ever tutor you choose it is vital that you get the right tutor with the right experience to get the best possible outcome, please email me to find out more.

Personal Description:
I am a PhD student at the University of Warwick in Economics.

Teaching Experience:

When I was doing my Bachelor degree in Economics in the National University of Athens I was teaching Economics and Maths to two categories.
Firstly to classmates of mine and other weak students and secondly to students who where preparing for the national exams. I graduated with Distinction 80%. I was awarded Valedictorian (1st) of a class of 280 students for 2008-2009.

I did my master in Economics and Econometrics at the University of Essex and I graduated with 78%.

Moreover, I have been teaching undergraduate Economics at the University of Warwick for the last 3 years.

I can help students in Micro, Macro, Econometrics,Mathematics, Statistics and dissertation-assignments corrections.

Tutoring Approach:

I like teaching. It fascinates me. I become a better person when I feel I can produce knowledge and transfer my knowledge to other people. The scope of the tutor is to make his/her students better than him/her.

Organised preparation from my side is extremely important, especially in Economics examples are very informative and a teaching appoach that adapts to each student's difficulties are the key elements for a succesful tutorial.

Thank you

The time spent with the candidates should be used effectively and leave home-work to the periods between sessions in order that the learner gains the most knowledge. 2005 -2013. I am a very approachable person and I will create an open and friendly learning environment in which the student can be confident to share his or her difficulties with me without any embarrassment. Learning cannot be done without self motivation and enjoyment. What I aim to do is to teach the students and also implant this self motivation which can assist them to improve further.
I have encountered with many private tutors myself throughout the years of GCSE and IB so I know exactly what kinds of tutors the students require.

Teaching Experience:

Several recent teaching experiences with students at GCSE levels for maths, biology and chemistry.

Tutoring Approach:

Maths, Biology and Chemistry: Maths, Biology and Chemistry is all about applying the theories to the questions in correct ways through several manipulations and tricks. Nevertheless this cannot be done without a full understanding of the basic concepts.
By asking the student in what specific area of science they are having particular trouble with, each day I will focus on one specific topic, go through the concepts first and try out questions of different levels of difficulties with the student, finishing off by giving short half-an-hour-worth homework which the students can go through by themselves. The answers can be checked in the next lesson and any wrong answers will be explained. Any school work can be covered together during this time as well.

Economics:
GCSE Economics is all about tackling the questions following the mark scheme and identifying what the examiners want in answers for each question. To do this theories and curves must be understood first.
Different sections within microeconomics, macroeconomics, international economics etc will be covered each day, followed by going through short essay questions together to jot down key factors in bullet points.
Help in coursework possible.

Personal Description:
I am a very experienced Mathematics specialist. I have taught Mathematics at every level, high school to university students. Analysis Real and Complex, Algebra, Probabilities, Statistics, Operational Research,Calculus, Numerical Analysis, Financial Maths etc. I have a passion for maths, have written books on Analysis and Mathematics Competitions. I prefer challenging, searching students who seek the essence behind the strict mathematical formalism, but certainly I can help anyone armed with a will to learn. Last, but not least, all this interdisciplinary experience gives me a powerful base for helping students.

Teaching Experience:

20 years of teaching, including teaching students from UK universities, Oxford-Brookes, Edinburgh, Kent in Higher Maths, I have written books in Real and Complex analysis ( in Greek) and exercises for mathematical competitions (in English)
I have Bsc in mathematics and Masters in Banking and Finance. I have taught Financial Management for an institute of professional education.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that the core of mathematical concepts is always extremely simple and aesthetically pleasing. Once the student unlocks his own abilities, he can have phenomenal success. I adopt this approach and it is not unusual to change diametrically the maths viewpoint of a student.

Personal Description:
I am a 27 year old Mathematics Teacher who has had excellent teaching experience. I am a graduate from the Univeristy of Warwick and I have completed an MA in Education

Teaching Experience:

I have been a Mathematics Teacher for four years with students ages 11-18. I have taught GCSE Mathematics and A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics.

Tutoring Approach:

I am happy to be flexible in my tutoring approach, I am enthusiastic about encouraging students to excel in mathematics in areas they enjoy and areas which may be proving tricky at the time. Neither area should be neglected and this is a challenge I would accept alongside my tutee.
The starting point would be taking in both positive comments and concerns, from which to decide on a plan of action with my tutee based on period of time allocated.
I would draw on the wide range of resources I have available based on the needs of the tutee.

Personal Description:
I have a very high level of mathematical understanding and very good explanation of the subject area. I am intuitive, passionate about the topics I study and aspire to become an investment banker in the near future. I have had internships at global banking corporations which has pushed me harder to succeed in life.

Teaching Experience:

I have had relative experience teaching students mostly at GCSE level preparing them for exams a few months prior. Currently I have a small group of students whom are getting ready for their assessments, therefore, I teach in groups. Also I have taught individual students in the past from primary through to the end of GCSEs. In the experience I have had teaching, my students have received minimum A grade in the past

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching is all about positive reinforcement. I use mini games and different techniques to enhance and enjoy learning. I believe this helps students reach a higher level of knowledge and success. I am efficienct and practical in explaining problems and solutions due to time restrictions. Using a diverse range of structure and use of resources, the student will achieve a better grade than when they first started.

Personal Description:
I have spent many years accumulating a wide range of academic qualifications, and my work has often primarily consisted of passing on my knowledge to others in a form they can understand. I get a lot of satisfaction from helping people to understand something they thought was beyond them. By virtue of having studied several subjects at a high level, I empathise with the feeling of finding something difficult, and have the patience and technique to get past this. I am not a single-subject specialist who might find it difficult to understand why others struggle in their area of expertise.
For students who are preparing for exams, my knowledge of examination technique, and an empathy with the marker, should be invaluable. I always keep in mind the importance of the student's goals, but never take myself too seriously.

Teaching Experience:

My whole career has been geared towards some form of teaching. I have trained groups of adults and children, as well as individuals, in elements of mathematics, psychology, actuarial science, pensions, and even tennis! Recently I tutored my 14 year-old son (who attends a sports academy, not a mainstream school) in three IGCSEs, for which he obtained excellent grades.

Tutoring Approach:

I look at what is important for the student. I emphasise clear, logical ways of working, and clear presentation. I make sure that they realise that they not only need to understand why they are doing something, but they must also be able to explain it clearly. Explaining a difficult concept to someone else can often be the best way to make yourself remember it. I am calm and patient, and English is my first language, all of which can help when a student finds something tricky.

I am consistently available for tutoring during weekday daytimes. I will sometimes be available in the evenings and at weekends, but this will be by arrangement and should not be relied upon.

Personal Description:
I am a 22 year old female, currently pursuing MSc in Economics from London School of Economics and Political Science.
I am from India (Delhi) and have completed my Bachelor's in Economics from the University of Delhi. I scored 92.8% in my GCSE equivalent exams and 92.6% in my A-Level exams. I also secured a distinction in my University with 78.3% marks. In my A-level exams, I scored a 95% in Math, Economics, Physics and Chemistry.

I am a budding writer. I worked as a correspondent with an online social media website for 15 months. I am a very passionate and driven individual and I am forever looking forward to expanding my horizons. Currently, I am in the process of learning Spanish while also serving as the Treasurer of my Hall Committee (Bankside House, LSE).

I am very fond of reading and some of my favourite books are- "To kill a mockingbird- Harper Lee", "A palace of Illusions- Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni", "A thousand splendid suns- Khalid Hosseini" and "The Help- Kathryn Stockett".

I am an enthusiastic traveler and have visited the following countries- USA, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau and Mexico. Currently, of course, I am staying in the UK for my Masters degree.

I love making new friends and meeting new people. I am forever looking for new experiences and strongly believe that every individual I meet has something new to teach me. I believe the biggest motto in life is to be happy and everything else must follow that.

Teaching Experience:

I have a substantial amount of teaching experience. I have taught Economics to high school students. I have also been a Math tutor to children aged 10-12 years and 14-17 years. Since my course is highly mathematical, I believe that I would be able to the students a deeper understanding of the underlying concepts. My entire education has been in English medium schools and hence, proficiency in understanding and speaking English is not an issue.

Tutoring Approach:

My tutoring style would largely be determined by the nature of the individual I am dealing with. Patience being my strong suit, I am happy to explain the same concept for the millionth time if so needed. My academic record has been quite exceptional and I keep myself updated on the newer methods of teaching and learning. I believe I can tailor my teaching style in accordance with what the student would be comfortable with.
I focus on relating concepts to real life experiences and observations which help to imprint them in the minds of the students and de-emphasize rote learning since then memory plays a crucial role in performance.

However, I do focus on making assignments which I expect to be handed back to me (flexible deadlines, of course) and I do give regular tests to assess if my student is able to coherently express his/her ideas in accordance with what is expected in an examination framework.

I am happy to give a trial class for ₤18.

Personal Description:
I'm in my final year at The Judd School in Tonbridge, Kent. In October I will be attending the University of Oxford to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics. My subjects for A Level which I will be completing in June are Maths, Geography, Economics and Government and Politics, at which I am predicted to obtain 2 A*s and 2 As. I have also done an additional AS Level in English Language and Literature. I am a specialist in A Level Politics, Economics and Maths and as someone who has gone through the education system in Kent from doing the 11 Plus selection test to GCSEs and now A Levels I am familiar with up to date course requirements and the skills required to obtain the highest marks. I also offer the service of Oxbridge interview technique and entrance exam tutoring for the PPE course, having recently gone through the process.

Teaching Experience:

I have helped a group of around 5 students through their AS and A2 Level Economics at my school.
I have helped a group of 5 students also with the Core 1 and Core 2 components of their Maths AS Level at my school.
I run a weekly society at my school aimed at AS and A2 Politics and Economics students that looks to expand their knowledge beyond the syllabus and aims to infuse their studies with real life examples that they can apply in exams to maximise marks and aim for the A* grade.

Tutoring Approach:

I focus on using examples in Economics and Geography to understand theory, and developing the ability of students to apply their knowledge to real world examples in order to obtain the best marks. My teaching style is personable and relaxed: I believe the best environment to learn in is one which removes stress and focuses on improving problem areas in tutoring. I know that different people learn in different ways and I tailor my teaching style to ensure that the student gets the most out of tuition, hopefully learning to enjoy the subject and to remove worries about exam preparation.

Personal Description:
I am a second year undergraduate at the London School of Economics, where I am reading for a BSc in Economics. I attained 11 A*s at GCSE; a 98.2% average at AS-Level, scoring the highest grades in my year; 3 A*s at A-Level, where I achieved 100% in ten of the exams I sat; and a very high first class in my first year exams.

I attended Sutton Grammar School for Boys up until the final year, when I left to pursue private tuition as my full-time occupation, while studying for my A2 exams in my spare time. Following this, I founded Enspire Academy, a tech-inspired 11+ tuition academy that ensures the newest, most effective educational experience for its students.

Teaching others is something I have always enjoyed. Being part of a genuine improvement in a student's performance and confidence is a unique and gratifying opportunity, and I look forward to meeting and working with new students.

- ifs Young Business Writer of the Year 2013: My article came 1st in the country
- Royal Economic Society Young Economist of the Year Competition: 3rd internationally out of 750 entries
- Harvard Prize: Highest grades in the year
- Young Enterprise Achiever of the Year 2012

- LAMDA Gold Public Speaking and Drama Award
- Jack Petchey Award for mentoring younger pupils and my general contributions to school life
- GCSE Prize & Business Prize

Teaching Experience:

I know what it takes to do well in exams and I really have been through it all: Common Entrance, the 11+, SATS, GCSEs, A-Levels, even University Admission Tests.

Over the past year I've taught over forty students, privately: from four-year-olds with Etonian aspirations, to A-Level students in need of additional coaching, to GCSE students who have fallen behind in class.

I have worked at the Wimbledon branch of NumberWorks'nWords for the past two years now. During my time there I have learned the importance of planning, lesson structure and how technology can be used to enhance a student's learning experience. I also teach Maths lessons at Shine Tutors, an 11+ specialist centre.

Tutoring Approach:

At the start of any session I try to glean what I can by asking students which areas exactly they're weakest in, what they want to work on, what their personal targets are, and then set them a range of problems (based on their curriculum when possible) to locate, more specifically, areas for improvement.

I often set personalised homeworks and mini-tests, to ensure my students have a solid understanding of the key concepts. Recently, I've begun using touch screen technology to engage more actively with my younger students, and I ensure all notes taken are contained neatly and securely in a revision booklet, for easy reference.
