Regarding my education status, I have recently finished a wireless communication master program with Leeds University. I have a very simple approach to tutoring. my philosophy is based on individualized teaching. I believe the best way to get the best out of a kid is to work with the him closely, try to identify his strength and weaknesses and eventually develop a proper strategy to motivate him. I always try to review material covered in classes and make sure students understand them properly and eventually provide additional support related to that material. getting constant feedback is very important to make sure students have assimilated topics being covered. I also believe in patience because all kids can not pick up at the same time. It is therefore important to repeat until the student has understood the topic. Finally, I believe learning is also about having fun so I always try to make a tutoring session as fun as possible.

Personal Description:
I am quite a jovial perso who enjoys the vocation of teaching; I love to see the light go on in a learner. I am an Englishman abroad and wouldnt change where I live for a moment.

I am a keen musician (very amatuer) and my limited spare time is spent in my home studio mucking about and not getting anything actually achieved. I also enjoy the restoration of my Chapel which, like the Forth bridge, will never be finished!

Teaching Experience:
I have been a teacher for over 15 years which culminated in a Head of Dept roll for the last 5 (Business Studies). I have been very fortunate in my career to have taught all age groups many different subjects. I am currently out of mainstream schools but remain in education as the ICT assessor for Shropshire CC which has provided me with different skills and approaches rather than classroom led instruction.

Tutoring Approach:
I am a holistic type and I always want the learner to be happy with an answer they give and know "why" the answr is correct. I hopefully bring humour (debatable) and a wide variety of methods to my teaching along with contemporary examples.

At present I am available in the evenings but if all goes well then I will be extending that to daytim availability too.

In my current job, I provide intensive technical training as part of the IT Apprenticeship Syllabus for a company called Zenos, based in Aynho, near Banbury. Here, I train, coach and assess learners acting as mentor throughout a 5 month programme delivering MCDST, CompTIA A+ & N+, Advanced Diploma for IT Practitioners (City and Guilds) courses to 16 - 19 year olds.

Furthermore, I have been tutoring Physics, Maths and GSCE Science approximately four days per week after work, for the past 3 years.

I am also an Examiner for Edexcel for the GCE A Level Synoptic Physics Paper 6736 01. This has vastly improved knowledge of my subject area, giving me a closer insight into the examining process and the standards required for an excellent grade.

I have taught Physics to A Level on numerous occasions since 1992, but would consider GCSE/Key Stage 3 Science and any of the other subjects mentioned, if asked. In addition, as I am currently Microsoft Certified I would also consider tutoring IT.

Personal Description:
