Personal Description:
I enjoy teaching and consider myself both easy going and approachable, whilst being firm and demanding enough to get the best out of any potential student. I graduated with a 2:1 in Biochemistry (with a year in industry) from the University York. Following from my undergraduate degree I obtained an MRes with distinction in Molecular Plant Biology and Biotechnology at Imperial College London. This was followed by a further MRes with distinction in Urban Sustainability and Resilience at University College London. I am currently undertaking an Engineering doctorate at University College London, where my research area focuses on the production of algal biomass. The work falls within the fields of Biochemical and Environmental Engineering, and I have recently obtained research grants to pursue my work.

Teaching Experience:

At university I would often take part in student led tutorials and workshops, allowing me to hone my teaching and listening skills. I currently demonstrate in undergraduate laboratory classes and lead seminar discussions within my department. This university teaching experience is coupled with considerable prior activity in tutoring both friends, family and students of all ages in scientific subject areas, with high levels of success. I am currently tutoring key stage 3, and GCSE biology, chemistry and physics.

Tutoring Approach:

I have an informal teaching style and seek to understand the particular educational requirements of each individual tutee. To this end I will endeavor to promote educational development through note taking, written exercises, case studies, question and discussion periods, as well as with independent study. When the time comes for formal examinations the learning focus will shift to past paper practice and improving general examination technique. I have a firm belief in always being approachable for any type of question, great or small and l like to foster an inquisitive relationship with my tutee.

Personal Description:
I graduated from University of Leeds as Masters in Bio-science in 2011. I have worked as a research technician (Faculty of biological sciences at University of Leeds) since my graduation. I have been tutoring on weekends while I was working as a research technician, as I love helping students with their grades. I have demonstrated undergraduates in the laboratory and helped them understand science from a pracical point of view. I have decided to dedicate myself as a private tutor for sometime from beginning of march. Every student needs certain kind of guidance which is different from other fellow student in his/her class. Understanding the nature of the student and helping them with their difficulties is what I do. I am a very patient girl and very good with adoloscents with their behaviour. From my experinece of tutoring and having a brother who is appearing for A level this year, I have gathered that teenagers are more comfortable taking help from tutors than parents.

Teaching Experience:

I have earlier taught students of age group 11-16 and helped them gain confidence in their weak subjects.
I was a research technician at University of Leeds so I had to demonstrate and teach them how to do things.
I love science and have higher education in field of biological science,so I am efficient and capable to teach kids the basics of science.

Tutoring Approach:

I feel tutoring is all about understanding the way the student grasps the concepts and implements. I prefer the fun-way of learning and remembering things. In this way the student remembers the basics and never forgets rather than practicing without understanding main concept. I feel once you make the student comfortable and make them realize how they should approach particular subjects, the student develops his own skills of learning. Its all about interacting with the student and finding a way so as how to make a student get intersted in particular subject. The moment the student is interested in the subject, its just matter of time that they start learning and help themselves.

Personal Description:
I am a 2nd year Business student at Cardiff University with a very decent academic record. I scored 8 As in my O levels in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, Urdu, Pakistan Studies and Islamic Studies. In my A level I scored 2 Bs in Accounting and Business and 2 Ds in economics and maths. I consider myself to be a student who grasps every concept quite quickly and can deliver my learning skills to people who wish to learn from me.

Teaching Experience:

I do not have any formal teaching experience which is why I will charge the minimum wage of 9 pounds and hour. Since I am the eldest of my siblings as well as my cousins, I have spent a great deal of time teaching them important concepts required for their O levels. As I scored well in my O levels, often parents in my neighbourhood sent their children to learn from me but I did that free of cost.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe it is very important first of all that my student is comfortable with me and does not hesitate to ask even the most stupid of questions. I take my work very seriously and in this case i intend to make sure that I have successfully delivered what is needed to in terms of important concepts and ideas. I look forward to excellence in whatever I do whether it is sports or academics and thus I want my students to acknowledge me and give me credit and remember me if they secure good grades hopefully.

Personal Description:
I am a family man, married 10 years to my wife Mel, with 3 beautiful daughters. I have been tutoring in the South Wales area since 1992 after graduating in Chemical Engineering with 2nd (Hons) Degree from University of Glamorgan. My hobbies include wordwide travel, Triathlon, Motorcycles/Cars and anything to do with science and maths.

Teaching Experience:

After graduating in Summer 1992 with an Honours Degree in Chemical & Process Engineering from the University of Glamorgan, I set up my tutoring business to assist parents & pupils with examination preparation, who felt they were being let down by the educational system.

I worked as an examiner for the WJEC from 1997 to 2002 marking Maths papers.

I currently teach on a 1-2-1 basis or in small groups, usually {but not exclusively} in the privacy of the pupils home, in the following subjects:-

* Key stages 1 to 4 {GCSE} in Mathematics, English, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Engineering, Design and Technology, Electronics.

* 'A' Levels {GCE} in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics

* BTEC Engineering, Nursing & Health Care courses, Paramedics, Sports Science.

* Degrees in Engineering - Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Aerospace, and Nursing.

* UKCAT Entrance exams to Medicine and Dental school.

Tutoring Approach:

I thoroughly prepare students for examinations using past paper practise to build up their self confidence and develop the ability to read and digest each exam question.

During the interim term time, I conduct 'student led' lessons, where each of my pupils is able to tell me what they want to learn; whether it be new material, homework assistance or revision of old topics.

I structure my lessons this way because I teach many different students of varying abilities, who are studying at different levels and using different exam boards e.g. WJEC, OCR, AQA, EDEXCEL.

Personal Description:
18/03 - Please note that on UK Tutors as both student and tutor to pay a fee before addresses can be exchanged. I have had quite a few people think that I profit from this fee but I really do not, I too have to pay a fee between 10-20.

In 2012, I completed my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Genetics from the University of Nottingham and in 2015, I completed my masters in Psychology. I have been an enthusiastic learner since a young age and hope that through my lessons, my students will also develop a passion and interest in the subjects I teach. I am looking to hopefully teach A-level students that require help to get a better grade. I am also happy to teach younger students.

I have taught Biology and Chemistry up to A-level standards across the most popular exam boards since graduating in 2012. As a result, I have an endless number of exam questions, worksheets and booklets to give to students from day one of teaching. I believe in learning little over a long period of time and working out a strong revision technique. Whilst, I wish all my students can achieve A/A* grades, hard work, motivation and revision are the key tools to achieve high grades, a tutor should only be a tool in your learning, not someone you rely on completely. Whilst I understand that my prices are high, I believe I am also fair. I don`t mind if students stay for longer than an hour if needed and am always happy to reply to emails for homework help.

In terms of future careers, I will be completing my PGCE in Secondary School Chemistry in the coming academic year and would like to eventually become an educational psychologist.

Since graduating in September 2015, I work as a teaching assistant in the Milton Keynes area, in particular in special needs schools, which means I am generally free after 3pm to teach students.

With regard to my CRB check, I was checked by Stoke Mandeville Hospital in 2013.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught in total, over 20 students studying GCSE and A-level Biology/Chemistry/Maths on either AQA or OCR exam boards.

I teach Sunday to Thursday from 4pm to 9pm

Please note, I am happy to offer the first lesson free of charge for long term students, if it is only one lesson you need, then please make this known to me. The first hour is generally a "get to know me" session and finding out what areas the student wants to work on.

Tutoring Approach:

After teaching solidly since November 2012, I have been able to further develop my teaching skills. To begin, I start with revision techniques, worksheets and make new, very detailed, class/revision notes with my students. After developing a solid understanding, I begin with exam questions as I have been able to collect a solid amount of questions (exam and school questions). Every lesson, I print out worksheets and notes for my students as well as give them homework. Essentially, what I offer are school lessons that are more detailed and focused than what they receive in school. Through these methods, I am able to thoroughly assess a student's abilities, increase them and hopefully better their grades. However, I stress, students must work hard themselves to achieve good grades.

Parents often ask me about discount, I am happy to discuss this for long-term students and 2 hours lessons

I am working at King's College London as a Clinical Trials Assistant. I have studied B.Sc in Biochemistry and have Masters degree in Biomedical science with management studies from Kingston university London.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught science in a secondary school as a science teacher. At present I tutor up to A-levels. I have 4 years of experience of tutoring within the UK.

Tutoring Approach:

Proper communication and interaction is the key to understanding and learning. I make sure that my student understands the topic before proceeding, this includes giving relevant examples, testing the student's ability and correcting at every step.
I would prefer students to have the right textbooks, so that we follow the syllabus all the time, and prepare for the exam following the right modules and topics. It also enables the students to have a guidance when studying independently.

If I am to travel to the tutee's home, then there may be additional charge depending on the distance.

Personal Description:
I currently work at Leicester Medical school, teaching medical students in Years 1-3, covering topics such as human anatomy, physiology and clinical skills. Prior to this I worked as a Clinical Educator for 2 1/2 years, teaching Leeds Medical School students mainly in Years 3- 5 of their training. I teach clinical skills (practical, examination and history taking) and a number of clinical medicine topics, from chronic diseases such as respiratory conditions, and diabetes, and acute medicine/approach to the unwell patient.

I trained as a doctor and have a varied background in a number of clinical specialities including Emergency Medicine, General Medicine and General Practice. I now teach full time and always strive to provide teaching sessions that stimulate, challenge and enthuse students.

I'm available to teach medical students at any stage of their training, either those who perhaps would like a little extra support in their studies or those students who may be re-siting components of their course and require some more focused tuition.

I am also confident to teach pupils from GCSE level up to A level in Biology, particularly topics relating to Human Biology.
In addition I would be keen to teach any adult learners who are undertaking college courses relating to Human Biology, physiology or anatomy. Please feel free to contact me if you are studying an Allied Health Sciences course/other course relating to medical subjects/biology, as I may be able to help!

Teaching Experience:

I currently work at Leicester Medical School as a clinical teaching fellow, and prior to this was working full time as a Clinical Educator. I have also worked in medical communications, developing educational materials for a variety of health care professionals on a number of disease types and treatments.

I have a extensive teaching experience, at a number of Medical Schools, first as an Honorary Clinical Demonstrator at Leicester Medical School for a year during my early clinical training, followed by a position as an Academic Clinical Fellow in Medical Education and General Practice at Manchester Medical School. These positions both involved formal teaching responsibilities with medical students, both in their clinical and pre clinical stages of training. In my last role as a Clinical Educator I taught predominantly in areas relating to clinical medicine but I currently teach across the basic medical sciences including anatomy and physiology.

I have completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education and I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Tutoring Approach:

Encouraging, enthusiastic and non- intimidating
Delivered at a pace set by the student in whichever format best drives the student's learning
Can include Skype sessions/over the internet
Problem based/scenario based sessions can be delivered if requested, to help integrate medical knowledge with clinical scenarios
Can tutor groups and/or individuals: from GCSE level up to Higher Education/University- and anywhere inbetween!

Please note: an additional fee will be added to cover travel costs if travelling to the tutee: this is to cover fuel costs and time incurred travelling to and from a tutees address.

Personal Description:
I am a professional yet friendly individual who has a great zeal for education. I have obtained a PGCE in Secondary Science (Physics) and a B.Sc in Physics with Astrophysics (2.1). I have been tutoring for over 3 years. I enjoy learning as much as I like to share it.

Teaching Experience:

Over the past few years, I have worked in a variety of schools ranging from outstanding to special needs. I am working as a full time private tutor of Science and Maths and have taught students of different levels and different subjects including literacy and maths at key stage 2. I have also had some experience teaching for 11+ exam. I teach different exam boards at GCSEs and A level Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

Tutoring Approach:

The first (trial) lesson usually involves getting to know the student, his/her academic requirements, etc. Depending on the individual, I like to give them an assessment, which helps me judge what level the student is at. If the student is happy to proceed (98% success rate), we commence the lessons accordingly. My lessons generally include note making, teaching using notes/ powerpoint presentations, etc and students attempt questions based on the topic(s) covered. I like to give regular homework unless asked and mini-mocks/SATs/ tests are given as well to monitor their progress regularly. For young students, I like to keep in touch with the parents regarding their progress reports. I tailor my lessons to the needs of my students so that they make the most of their learning experience.

Personal Description:
My name is Emma and I have been a primary school teacher for 4 years and a successful tutor for 3 years. I am punctual and reliable and have a friendly manner with children of all primary ages. Teaching really is my passion and being able to tutor is something that I enjoy greatly.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching for 4 years in both KS1 and KS2. I have worked in small and large schools and in classes where there have been a wide range of needs. I have tutored children who need the extra support and those that need pushing further academically. I have worked closely with Year 6 children to prepare for their all important SATS.

Tutoring Approach:

I strongly believe that every child is different and that they learn best when the teaching is tailored for them. This is why I love tutoring! I can adapt my teaching styles to suit all learners and help them to aspire to greatness and have the determination to succeed. By spending this time getting to know the individual learner and what their parents goals are for their child, a personalised approach is enabled and accelerated progress can occur. I am a highly professional and friendly tutor with a passion for making learning fun and allowing children to realise just how far their hard word can take them.

Personal Description:
I am a postgraduate, currently in my third year studying Medicine at Liverpool university. I have a previous degree in Neuroscience in which I gained a 1st class honours. I am very friendly, approachable and enthusiastic. I love spending time with children and take great pleasure in being able to teach others and see them progress. I also love dancing, cooking and animals!

Teaching Experience:

As a medical student I am constantly having to participate in peer mentoring and teaching. This is either in small groups with other students, or one on one. We cover all different medical subjects. I have also tutored biology and English GCSE students privately. I am also part of a society called teddy bear hospital in which we go into schools and teach children about being healthy and how to perform basic life saving skills. Furthermore, I am an ambassador for a society called EdMed in which we teach secondary school children about the different aspects in medicine and how to get into medicine.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is interactive and fun with my primary aim being that the student is not afraid to make mistakes. This way we can build a good relationship and create a learning environment in which the student feels comfortable and at ease. I like to use as many different resources as possible for instance books, videos, pictures and even songs! This then caters for everyone's learning preferences and will reinforce concepts. I also like to use games to assess knowledge gained from the sessions in a fun, non pressurised environment.
