Personal Description:
I am a French native, qualified language teacher working as a Head of Department in a reputable independent school in Moor Park. I have a genuine enthusiasm for languages and for language education as I have had experience of teaching French in various contexts and countries.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught across Key Stages 2, 3, 4, 5 within several secondary schools in London. I also have the opportunity to teach pupils with Special Educational Needs as well as gifted ones and I am therefore aware of their need for differentiation through support and extension activities provided when delivering lessons.
Finally, I teach French to adults and I believe that helping them to learn my language is extremely rewarding, whether they are great beginners or fluent speakers.

Tutoring Approach:

I have specialised in one-to-one support and exam preparation (A-levels, GCSEs, Common Entrance, 13+ etc.) with tailored programmes to meet the individual needs as well as a creative teaching style. In my teaching, I always transfer to my students my own enthusiasm for languages and try to enhance their motivation and enjoyment of language learning. I set my students high standards for work and have received positive feedback from pupils and peers.

Personal Description:
A trilingual professional and qualified teacher with 2 MA's degrees in languages and long tutoring and instructing experience. I will help you to understand your work better and expand your knowledge in the subject. My language lessons are carefully planned and tailored especially for individual students according to their level and needs. My students practice the main 4 language skills - reading, speaking, listening and writing. My main objective is to develop skills in order to improve fluency and confidence in dealing with native colleagues and clients.

Teaching Experience:

My skills are based on solid academic experience. I have got around 6 years of tutoring experience and worked with adults, children and professionals.
- Worked alongside leading academics in the field of methodology as an assistant
- Conducted research and analysis
- Organised conferences and assisted in consecutive and liaison interpreting
- Assisted in translation of articles and legislations eg. Polish Labour Code
- Worked internationally as Russian/English and Polish tutor in Poland, UK and Holland therefore I am culturally sensitive and adaptable
- 2 years' experience in working with students and professionals in China (Fujian International Business & Economic College) as TEFL teacher & Foreign Language Expert

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that one of my best qualities as a teacher is my ability to inspire confidence in my students so that they feel comfortable expressing themselves regardless their level of ability. Central to my philosophy of teaching is to create stimulating yet non-competitive environment in the classroom. I always feel it is my responsibility to inspire my students to want to achieve their maximum potential. I have strong confidence that a learner can utilise his or her ability to the fullest if he or she has the utmost willingness to do so. As for me, I was fortunate to be introduced to my second languages at a very young age. I discovered that there were several factors that contributed to the level of effectiveness of learning the second language back then.
Having a strong intrinsic motivation to learn the language is crucial, you always need to find ways to develop your language vocabulary, practice correct pronunciation, listening speaking, reading and writing skills. You have to be resourceful -find ways to improve yourself. Spend some time reading foreign newspapers during weekends and make foreign language dictionary your new life partner!

Personal Description:
I am Moheeb, I am a postgraduate researcher at University of Manchester at MACE Department of Management of Projects. I have Master of Science (MSc) degree in Project Management.

I am a positive, patient individual with an excellent understanding of practical engineering and business practices as well as lingual practices.

I enjoy teaching because I find great satisfaction in watching someone learn and making progress.

Teaching Experience:

I have been working as lecturer in management, business and economics for almost 9 years. Since relocating to Manchester, I am teaching many students as a freelance tutor in Management, Accounting, and Economics, in different universities and different regions in UK.

I have taught hundreds of students in different fields and levels (i.e. College, GSCE, A level, and University undergraduate and postgraduates).

That said, I have been able to achieve A and A* grades with my tutees over and over again. Are you wanting this too?

Tutoring Approach:

I will always study the needs of students to customise a learning style. I support teaching with as many experiences as possible. I believe my students do not yet understand a concept until they can possibly solve every past paper on it. This is why past paper solving is an integral part of my teaching style.

Personal Description:
I am a 30 year old female graduate from the University of Strathclyde, in Glasgow. I have a joint Honours degree in French and Italian (language and studies) for which I gained a 2:1. I also have a Masters in Marketing which I also obtained from the University of Strathclyde. I am currently working in the Modern Languages department of St Ninian's High School in East arendreeshire. I spent a year abroad in Lyon, France, during my fourth year of university, where I worked as an English Language Assistant in two high schools. I am extremely patient and understanding and have a lot of experience tutoring both young children and teenagers, especially in French and Italian. I am passionate about working with and helping others and find it to be a most rewarding experience and I would love to pass on my knowledge and skills, in my specialist subjects, in order to help develop the skills of the tutees I will be working with. I am a very driven, confident and enthusiastic individual and I give 100% to everything I am involved with and I am passionate about achieving results and helping others to do so also.

Teaching Experience:

I am a qualified French & Italian teacher in secondary education and have acquired a great amount of experience throughout my different posts and have gained great confidence in teaching the new National 4 and 5 qualifications. I also have experience teaching the Higher Course in both languages. During my fourth year of University, I worked in two high schools in Lyon, France as an English language assistant, teaching children, teenagers and young adults, from the age of nine to twenty three. I was responsible for helping them with all aspects of the language, and developing their reading, writing, listening and verbal skills by preparing and working on a number of different activities. I also taught them about British culture, history and lifestyles so as to help develop their knowledge of Britain, particularly Scotland, in general. I ensured that I worked differently with different individuals, depending on their style of learning and I took a different approach accordingly. I aimed to make my style of teaching both informative and fun so that they enjoyed learning and I believe this is something I am always successful in as many tutees I have worked with have commented on my positive and helpful way of teaching.

In my final year of high school I was involved in the 'Peer Education' programme whereby I went into five different French and Italian classes and helped those who were experiencing difficulties with the subjects. I helped particularly with grammar issues as these seemed to pose the most problems for pupils and I also helped them prepare for upcoming speaking and writing tests. I also helped pupils to understand easier ways of making the most of their French or Italian dictionary and taught them creative and simple of ways of tackling listening and reading tests. Moreover, I worked on a one to one basis with a Higher grade pupil who was experiencing problems with French and we explored different ways of making difficult areas that much easier. I was also part of the 'Paired Reading' programme where I worked with pupils aged eleven to fifteen who experienced reading difficulties. I met with three pupils for one hour each week, on an individual basis, and we would work on techniques for improving their reading ability and they would read to me. These two programmes were very gratifying, especially when I witnessed a pupil's confidence grow as their reading skills improved.

I have also tutored two family friends, both in French and Italian, with a great focus on exam preparation and the skills that they needed to do well on class tests. I also help my niece and nephew with their French, focusing greatly on the areas they find the most difficult.

Tutoring Approach:

I take a different approach to my tutoring depending on the individual I am working with. On my first session with my tutee I will find out the areas that they are experiencing the most difficulty in, and what their strengths and weaknesses are, as this will help me to develop an effective and helpful way of teaching. I prepare various worksheets, practice tests and activities which are interactive and will allow for valuable learning. I will ask the tutee what their preferred way of learning is and look at ways in which they successfully learn in other subjects and try to incorporate this in to my way of teaching. I encourage tutees to ask questions wherever necessary and to state if they wish me to try a different approach. I believe communication is the key to successful learning and I pride myself on my friendly and approachable nature and my ability to achieve results in my tuition. On the whole, I am aware that my way of teaching has to be of benefit to the tutee so I will tailor my approach to suit their wants and needs.

Personal Description:
A highly effective teacher; experienced, well organised, motivated, enthusiastic, with good sense of humour.

I establish rapport with my students. In my long career in teaching, I have learned how to make the most complex concepts in science 'digestible'. My motto is: 'Excellence in Education'.

I am a member of Pi Lambda Theta (International Honour Society for Educators).

Teaching Experience:

I am a qualified Teacher / Lecturer, and have taught Biology and Chemistry for over thirty years in Secondary, and Further/Higher Education in the US, the EU, and the UK. I have taught the AQA, Edexcel, OCR, and the International Baccalaureate specifications.

In addition to teaching students, I have trained teachers, as well.

Tutoring Approach:

While my Bachelor's Degree is in Biology and Chemistry, my Master's Degree is in Education with emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction, which means I have trained in designing and delivering effective lesson plans, as well as a complete curriculum. I design my instruction taking into account the student's learning style. The 'one size fits all' type of teaching is responsible for the failure of many students. Every student can learn and can do well, provided the teaching style accommodates the student's learning style, and there are no 'gaps' in what is prerequisite knowledge for taking a certain course.

Knowledge builds on pre-existing knowledge. I make certain that my students really understand and appreciate that. I diagnose any 'gaps' in content knowledge that my students may have, and I 'fill' them, providing a solid foundation for my students to build on.

Study skills, which figure prominently in my teaching, and exam technique, along with a well-rounded, in-depth knowledge of content, provide the key to success.

At the end of the course, my students not only do they have what they need to tackle the Biology or Chemistry Exam, but also a wealth of learning skills which they can apply to other subjects as well, and which they will find essential in all their future academic studies.

Educational technology supplements my instruction. The content in every session is presented on PowerPoint with quality images. I clarify every point and make certain my student has 'grasped' the present concept before I proceed with the next. Where appropriate, the PPT presentation is followed by a brief video which makes the content 'come alive'. My PowerPoint presentations, as well as my notes on PDF or Word files are available for my students after the lesson.

I finish the lesson practicing exam - style questions. It goes without saying that regular revision is important, and I provide my students with lots of past exam papers.

Personal Description:
I graduated from the University of Edinburgh four years ago, having obtained a degree (2:1) in English Literature and Spanish (with distinction in spoken Spanish).

I have been learning Spanish for over 10 years, and lived in Spain for a year as part of my degree, where I gained fluency in the language, and was awarded a distinction for my level of spoken Spanish on returning to Edinburgh and completing my degree. I am also passionate about English - both literature and language. I am currently working for a successful music/fashion magazine in London as section editor and have strong editorial and writing skills.

More recently I acquired a Diploma in Journalism (Gold Standard) from News Associates in Wimbledon - including Media Law, News Reporting, Court Reporting, Production, and Shorthand (100 WPM).

Teaching Experience:

I currently tutor a wide range of pupils, from the ages of five to eighteen, as well as adults in a number of subjects - English as a foreign language, Spanish and English literature. I have also taught Maths in the past and am familiar with a range of topics.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that the most important thing about tuition is that everyone learns in different way, and as a result I like to adapt my methods of teaching to the individual and tailor my lessons to their specific needs.

I aim to be a fun, engaging tutor and to use a variety of techniques and resources to make the most of the time spent tutoring.

Personal Description:
Hello, I am in my forties and I live in Worthing. I specialise in teaching English as a foreign language. I welcome teaching both individuals and small groups with everyday, educational or business English.

I enjoy travelling, meeting new people and learning about other countries. I have just returned from teaching English in Japan for four years, which I loved.

I also have experience working in both education and business in the UK. I was a primary school teacher for eight years and worked in insurance for 11 years.

Teaching Experience:

-I taught Keys Stage 1 and 2 for eight years in an East London primary school. The majority of which did not speak English regularly at home.
-I carried out training on technical insurance issues as part of my job with the insurance company.
-I taught English in two of Japan's well known English conversation schools (ECC and AEON). I worked with students ages ranging from 18 months to 70+ at all levels from beginner to advanced. I also did some work in a few Japanese kindergartens and some summer relief work in a local Worthing language school (CES).

Tutoring Approach:

I like lessons to be fun and the students to feel relaxed. The needs of the students comes first as everyone is different.

After an initial assessment ,I agree with the tutee a lesson progress plan. The lessons will have a clear goal and will relate to real life wherever possible.

Please note that all lessons with children should be at their home with a responsible adult present or available.

Personal Description:
I have had much help from tutors throughout my academic life so I can understand the value that is offered to a tutee by receiving extra tuition in this way. I am currently studying a Ph.D in Medical Science at Aberdeen University and studied my undergraduate degree here also gaining a 2.1 in my honours degree in Biomedical Science (physiology). The hours spent doing work towards my doctorate is fairly flexible and I have a car meaning my ability to fit around the schedule of others is very good. I consider myself outgoing, patient and very reliable.

Teaching Experience:

I was Biology prefect in my final year at school which involved helping to teach classes up until fourth year. I also carried out some work experience teaching primary school children PE and as part of my Ph.D I will be demonstrating for and tutoring first and second year undergraduates at the university. I have also had vast one on one tutoring experience from 13+ maths and science to standard grade/intermediate physics to advanced higher/A-level Biology and Chemistry.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring will be engaging, challenging and above all I will strive to create an environment which makes the tutee want to push him/herself. The result will be that the tutee will enjoy doing learning and the progress and benefits will start to become apparent. It was through this style of teaching/ tutoring that I found my strengths in academia and ultimately successes, therefore I wish to pass this confidence in learning on.

Personal Description:
I am a fully qualified Modern Foreign Languages teacher with experience of teaching Key Stage 3, GCSE, AS and A Level at secondary school and tutoring English, French and Spanish privately.

I am a hard-working and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about teaching and modern foreign languages. Therefore, in addition to teaching French and Spanish in secondary schools, I have also started a language tuition business so that I can support people with their language learning and development of their linguistic skills.

Teaching Experience:

- During my teacher training, I worked at two secondary schools where I taught French and Spanish to Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 and I also spent a few days working in a primary school observing and assisting teachers.

- During my NQT year, I worked at a secondary school in Trowbridge where I taught Spanish to Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 and French to Key Stage 3.

- As part of my Spanish degree, I worked as an English Language Assistant in a school in Madrid for an academic year.

- I have worked part time as a tutor from the age of 16 teaching French, Spanish and English.

- I have also recently become an External Examiner for Edexcel (one of the main British exam boards) which has given me more insight into what examiners look for in successful candidates.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a friendly and enthusiastic teacher as I believe that it is important to have a fun and positive atmosphere where my students can feel comfortable, gain confidence and also have a bit of fun.

Personal Description:
A full-time Maths and Physics tutor, methodical graduate of Oxford University and sensitive musician. Pleased to meet you.

I am an experienced and well-organised tutor of Physics, Maths and Astronomy with tremendous love for science and art. There is little else I find as gratifying like an engaging tutoring session with a mind striving to understand the world and the laws that govern it. Teaching has been the reason I chose to study for a Physics degree all along, and I am now very confident on my grasp of the subject. I can help you ace your exams, improve your grades or simply discover the Universe.

My background is a little exotic, as I used to compete internationally at Physics, Astronomy and Astrophysics competitions. A science athlete, if you will. This has put me in contact with brilliant minds and ideas and have built a reputation of excellence and imagination. I take my culture seriously, and I am an avid consumer of literature, cinema and music.

I'm also very passionate about songwriting and I am currently studying melodic modes and chord theory. I still feel I have a lot to learn, but I am fascinated by the way certain harmonies trigger very particular emotions in the human brain. It's a mystery I would love to crack. I also offer tutoring in music technology and instrument techniques, as this is my favorite past time activity, but don't be fooled by my artistic side. Music is built on a foundation of advanced symmetry and mathematics, and this perhaps justifies part of my fascination for it.

So should you want to learn about the universal laws, exercise your logic, get help with homework or train to apply to university, I will be more than happy to accommodate you.

Teaching Experience:

I have previously taught at my high-school as a substitute teacher for excellence groups. I also did private tutoring for people wanting to pass their Baccalaureate exam.

Tutoring Approach:

I love to work with curious minds, but years of practice taught me to apply myself to all kinds of people and students, as everyone learns differently. I am very patient and attentive, and you will find that gaining solid understanding can happen in a relaxed manner as well. My approach is to shift between grinding a particular subject and returning to the bigger picture, as I find all knowledge is connected and proficiency is rarely the sum of its parts. I also try to be aware of my students biggest gaps and hurdles and not move on until they start feeling comfortable with the newly acquired perspective. I believe I am very resourceful when it comes to re-arranging an explanation or finding a different analogy that can illuminate a missing link and consolidate understanding. Albert Einstein was dead right when he stated, in regards to teaching, that "If you can`t explain it to a six year old, you don`t understand it yourself".
