Personal Description:
An Instructor that will train you at your home or specified premises. No need to attend a club.

Instructor Dale has studied and trained various martial arts, he is a highly trained ex serviceman.
He also has studied the psychology behind actual violence and methods to stay focused in these situations.
This information and his practical skills have been condensed into an easy to learn but highly effective self defence course that can be tailored to your personal needs.
If you want a short 2 hour session or maybe need more help then please do not hesitate to contact me.

Dale can train you at your location, so there is no need to travel or feel the pressure that comes from taking part in a class, he will supply all the equipment needed.
Dale will train you at your home if you wish and of course, discretion comes without saying.

Teaching Experience:

I have trained and taught various martial arts styles for nearly a quarter of a century!

I have run several martial arts clubs, self defence programs and many seminars. The range of trainees have been from 5 years old to 66 years of age.
I was invited to run self defence training at Warner brothers hotels and this proved to be successful with the over 50s.

5 years ago he decided that martial arts were not always the best form of self defence in situations like bullying, domestic violence, sexual violence, anti racial behaviour and victims from over indulgence of alcohol by others.

Due to the escalating reports of unprovoked violence I developed a simple to learn but highly effective system of self defence that can be taught to children, adults and vulnerable people.

Tutoring Approach:

An Instructor that will train you at your home or specified premises.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. You may want to discuss things with me before committing. I will do my level best to put any concerns to rest.

Teaching this style will bring fast results for trainees. My greatest reward is to hear students stating that it has changed their outlook on situations and lives. The training is undertaken only at the premises of the client/s and is done in a lively way to ensure students enjoy their training and do not feel pressurised to venture out of their comfort zone. You do not need to be fit to train in this style of self defence. I offer telephone and email coaching to those taking the course and past students.

Personal Description:
I have been teaching most of my working life. However, last year was entirely spent in fulltime education. I have Just finished a Masters degree specialising in Shakespeare and wish to make a return to teaching.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching for roughly 8 years now. I have taught English as a foreign language in Japan for a major language school. I worked as a private tutor in Japan and Australia teaching ESL. In Australia, I also worked with an import company improving the business English of their staff. I have taught Exercise Physiology both at University level for ANU in Sydney, and in an adult education environment. I have ample experience in sport coaching, having coached school children and university students in a variety of sports. I have taught on three continents, taught everyone from children as young as 1 to retirees. I have experience in a variety of subjects and people from various backgrounds. I am used to teaching individuals and groups.

Tutoring Approach:

People have different strengths and weaknesses. Both these need to be adequately construed before any teaching method can be finalised. Usually, I would try to ascertain the students strengths, to facilitate learning, and weaknesses, to identify areas of improvement. It is important to interpret these factors according to the framework of curriculum / examiner requirements. I endeavour to make my sessions fun for students. I try to remind myself that their tutoring sessions are often at the end of a long days work. This makes patience very important.

Personal Description:
Hello, I am 21, live in Hull and have been playing the drums for around 5 years. I am currently studying Music Performance at university and have just finished my first year in Bristol. I have lots of experience playing live with various artists and bands. I play many styles and appreciate all music as an art. I mainly play pop, rock and metal but am well grounded in jazz, latin, reggae, drum and bass, blues, hip hop and funk.

Teaching Experience:

I have experience teaching; I started off doing it voluntarily to assist friends but the interest grew and I began getting more and more into it teaching from my home on my acoustic kit. I keep growing as a player and as a teacher.

Tutoring Approach:

I am very passionate about teaching as I believe a good player doesn't make a good teacher. I believe in breaking things down to the simplest level to give the student the best foundation possible. I teach everything from beginner to advanced, all in accordance to want the student wants mostly, then I will create an appropriate plan for he/she. Many students (myself included) have been left disappointed by the lack of passion shown by teachers in whatever subject, which is why I wanted to start teaching in the first place

Personal Description:
I am an enthusiastic and highly-motivated teacher of Italian specialized in Adult Education, with experience in teaching as well as developing syllabi, conducting assessments and administering different levels of linguistic competence.

I've gained extensive experience in dealing with various types of learners, coming from different backgrounds and speaking different mother tongues and my attention has always been focused on learners' linguistic motivations and needs, throughout the entire process of learning and acquisition.

I'm passionate about my job and about Italian language and culture and I've always been focused on sharing and instilling this passion onto my students, guiding them through an enjoyable tour of the Italian world and helping them in dealing with the difficulties they might find.

My five years experience, both in Italy and in Scotland, as private tutor and teacher in a class, has allowed me to develop a deep knowledge of didactic approaches and methods, but I always seek opportunities to augment my knowledge.

Teaching Experience:

I have a 5 years experience in teaching both in Italy and in Scotland.
I've worked with non-EU adults in Italy, teaching Italian as a Second Language and I had to deal with people coming from different countries and backgrounds and speaking different mother tongues.
I've been a private Tutor in Edinburgh (Scotland) for 2 years teaching people at their homes and I've also taught in classes at the Lifelong Learning Centre at the University of Edinburgh and at the Italian Institute in Edinburgh.

Tutoring Approach:

Being a foreigner abroad I totally understand what learning a Foreign Language means, so my approach is focused on developing communicative skills that the student can effectively use in everyday life.
My lesson are tailored according to the students needs and they have always a good blend of grammar and oral work as well as a real insight into Italian culture
My lessons are always thoroughly prepared and made by a variety of activities, grammar, conversation, audio material and games, something to suit all learning preferences.
