Personal Description:
Personal Description:

I am a dedicated and experienced Maths and Science tutor.(GCSE and A Level Maths plus GCSE and A Level Sciences). I focus on each individual that I teach with the view of enabling each of them to achieve their full potential and to remove any barrier to progress. I work hard to keep up to date with ever-changing specifications and expectations of public exams and to collect or prepare resources that match them accurately. I am positive in my approach to life and people, which allows me to create an enthusing learning environment for individual students and for groups. I show empathy and understanding when students struggle with the contents but I have also high expectations and I aim to support them to develop resilience and a strong work ethos.

Teaching Experience:

Teaching Experience:
I have taught in educational establishments for many years and I have been a tutor for the last four years. My lecturing experiences include the University of Southbank, where I prepared students to start their Degree courses and sixth form colleges like BSix, in Hackney, where I taught A levels in Science and Maths. I also taught in schools both in UK and abroad. My teaching experience have given me a good understanding of the British curriculum, including success criteria for public examinations. As a tutor, I have been committed and determined in ensuring the best possible outcomes for those I teach. As a result of my passion and effort, I have seen many of my students building up their confidence and achieve good or excellent grades in their exams.

Tutoring Approach:

Tutoring Approach:
Before each session, I work hard to prepare the appropriate resources for the student that I will teach. These include exam questions, practice exercises, revision notes, videos and presentations. When approaching the individual student, I always try to diagnose what barriers are preventing him from improving further and I make sure that the student understands what they need to do and how to do it. Feedback on exam questions is an important part of my tutoring: I want students to reflect on their level of understanding and on their exam strategies. In revising concepts, I explore my student's knowledge and address any gap or misconceptions that they may have built up in their previous study. Students find my sessions enjoyable and helpful

Personal Description:
I am a qualified, approachable and professional tutor with nine years teaching experience. I am friendly, reliable, patient and I believe in building a student's confidence to help them achieve their potential.

I graduated at the University of Liverpool and achieved a Masters Degree in Chemistry with Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I then completed my teacher training at the University of Nottingham, before going on to work full time as a secondary school teacher.

Teaching Experience:

For the last nine years I have taught:

- Combined Science to Key Stage 3 (in a secondary school environment)
- Biology and Chemistry to GCSE and A Level (in a secondary school environment)
- A range of examination boards, including AQA, OCR, Edexcel and also the IGCSE qualification
- In both a comprehensive and an independent school
- One-to-one private tutoring sessions to students finding Biology, Chemistry and Science difficult
- One-to-one private tutoring sessions to students needing to achieve the highest grades in A Level Biology and Chemistry for entry into Medicine and Oxbridge

As well as teaching and private tutoring I also work as an Examiner so I have an additional insight into exam preparation.

My role as a teacher in an independent school also involves marking entry examinations, so I am able to prepare students for these exams.

During my industrial placement year at university I worked as a Research Scientist for GlaxoSmithKline, applying Biology and Chemistry to researching new pharmaceuticals. I frequently draw on this experience to stretch and challenge students needing to achieve the highest grades for University entry.

Tutoring Approach:

I thoroughly enjoy motivating my students and I have built a variety of teaching resources to help students of all abilities. My students tell me that I help them break down complex information into more manageable sections. As well as preparing students for examinations I try to inspire them to enjoy and apply their subjects beyond the focus of exams. I strongly believe that learning should be enjoyable and accessible to everyone.

I understand how daunting it can be for parents and students to begin tuition so I am more than happy for parents to stay during my lessons. I can provide references and testimonials from my previous students and the schools I have worked for, as well as an enhanced CRB check. I am happy to set homework, mark examination papers and give detailed feedback, as well as organise additional lessons during examination periods.

Personal Description:
I offer tuition in maths for all ages, up to and including Maths and Further Maths A-levels. I also offer coaching for Numeracy and Numerical Reasoning tests such as SHL recruitment selection tests. If you need a bit of extra help for an upcoming exam, or even if you are just keen to widen your skills base with some general functional mathematics coaching, I would be keen to help.

Teaching Experience:

I am a full-time maths teacher in the Nottinghamshire area with a number of years' experience both tutoring and teaching, and currently teaching all ages and abilities from year 7 to A-level Maths and Further Maths, including the new Further Maths Level 2 qualification which is an excellent bridge between top-end GCSE and the start of A-level Maths. I am a Maths graduate from the University of Warwick, and I hold a PGCE from Warwick Institute of Education. I have a full Enhanced Disclosure CRB.

Tutoring Approach:

I appreciate how difficult and disheartening it can be to struggle with maths, but I also believe that, when presented in the right way, it can be both interesting and enjoyable (as well as extremely useful!) I favour a student-driven style of tutoring, with an emphasis on finding the root causes of any difficulties in order to strengthen a base of understanding before jumping forward to new topics.

Currently teaching GCSE and A-Level Mathematics in Tudor BEC College Worcestor Park.

Boards Taught: Edexcel, OCR, MEI

Tutoring Approach:

My straight forward policy is to make concept clear to the student. Also my student is supposed to complete book, past papers and all practices before sitting in exam. I always focus on making the student learn rather than rush. I have a very impressive record of students' results and most of the students have already gone to major Universities in UK.

Personal Description:
I am a French & British dual national. I grew up in France attending French schools throughout my lower education, but moved to the UK in 2010 to study Architecture at the University of Bath. I've always had a passion for languages, which led me to undertake further studies in German and Spanish, as well as to live in Germany for some time whilst still at school. !

Teaching Experience:

I started tutoring struggling students whilst still in Lycιe, towards Maths, Physics, English or German Brevet (GCSE equivalent) or Baccalaurιat. I've always found tutoring extremely rewarding and enjoyable, from both an academic and relational point of view, and have therefore committed more time to it particularly over the last year. I teach French and German primarily, and have taught a wide variety of students, from primary school-aged children to beginner adults, and helped students taking their GCSEs and A-levels.

Tutoring Approach:

This really depends on what you want to get out of the lessons! There is no single approach which will work with everybody so I am committed to finding out what works best for you! However we choose to go forward, I will always aim to make it fun and enjoyable, and make sure there is progress every session.

Unfortunately I am currently unable to arrange new lessons before 7.15pm on a weekday evening, except on Wednesdays.

Personal Description:
An experienced, intelligent, enthusiastic and focused teacher who is committed to safeguarding and promoting the education and well-being of students at all times. I am passionate about giving students the best and easier methods of tackling basic problems in Maths, Physics and Electronics, and enjoys mentoring students to achieve their career goals. I am able to establish a supportive relationship with not only students but also their parents with the aim of enhancing and reinforcing a student's independence and self-worth. I am someone who is fundamentally committed to good practise and giving back to the society through effective teaching and mentoring methods.

Teaching Experience:

Graduate Assistant, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (2016-Date):

As graduate assistant in the department of Electrical Engineering, University of Nigeria, I taught basic electrical/ electronic engineering modules to undergraduate students.

Part-Time Tutor (2008-2013, 2015-2016):

Taught secondary school students preparing for General Certificate Exam (Equivalent of GCSE), Physics, Mathematics, Electronics, and Statistics.
Also taught university students, mathematics and statistics.

Tutoring Approach:

My aim as a tutor is to create in my students a deep understanding and confidence in answering exam questions and tackling new and unfamiliar problems. I do this by teaching them the basic concepts using analogies and real world examples. I do not teach nor encourage students to memorise things rather I encourage them to write what they know in their own words in order to boost their confidence and to evaluate their level of understanding.

While tutoring, I usually solve a lot of exam-style examples and pose questions repeatedly in order to evaluate and perfect the student's understanding of basic concepts. I do not bark on students when they fail questions rather I politely correct them in order not to dampen their morale.

I believe passionately in the huge benefit that comes with personal tutoring to students and I am always excited seeing my students graduate with high grades and achieve their full potential in life.

Personal Description:
I received a First Class Honours B. Sc. degree in computer science from Cardiff University, UK, in 2016 and I am currently working towards the Ph.D. degree in the field of Cyber Security at the same University. My research revolves around the security and privacy of Internet of Things devices (IoT). I have experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, and Matlab, as well as with a variety of other technologies. As a current PhD student I also have experience in various research and study methodologies. Finally I am fluent in Greek, English, and Italian.

Teaching Experience:

For the past year, apart from being a private tutor teaching mainly GCSE Computing/ICT and Greek Language, I have also been a Teaching Assistant at Cardiff University. There I have been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students programming; Python and Java as well as Web Applications Technologies. Additionally, I have been supervising group projects for year 2.

Tutoring Approach:

I aim to provide a solid grounding in the subject while paying close attention to the needs of the individual. Therefore, I will vary my tutoring style depending on the ability and needs of the student. I aim to run my tuition in support of the progression of my students through their subject syllabus, but I am also willing to progress more slowly and focus on particularly weak areas if the student so desires. I will also offer pre-exam revision sessions for all exams including modular resits and conduct end of topic tests and mock exams should the student desire.

As I aim to tailor my tuition to the individual I expect students to maintain regular contact in regards to their subject progressions and their individual needs.
