Personal Description:
Having a doctorate in Applied Mathematics and after teaching at university level for 16 years (still counting), my passion towards mathematics encouraged me to motivate much younger students in schools towards this extra-ordinary subject of Mathematics. I have been able to develop an in-depth knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum including 11+ and keep myself updated with all the changes happening in the UK education system to ensure that my students receive the correct guidance and support. I specialise in teaching applied and engineering mathematics.

Teaching Experience:

I have 16 years of teaching experience at various level and my students range from teenagers to adult learners. Teaching is my passion and life-long career and I am providing private tutoring for about four years.

Personal Description:
I'AM AAT QUALIFIED AND ACCA FINALIST. I do lecture on-line via Skype and also could meet you up for one to one basis

Teaching Experience:

I have taught on many aspects of accountancy subjects, these include F6 Taxation, F2 Management accounting, F3 Financial Accounting, F7 Financial Reporting and F8 Audit & Assurance, which are subjects on ACCA syllabus. I have also taught on AAT (to include all units) and ABE syllabus on similar subjects and I posses a profound understanding of my chosen subjects and capable of teaching them effectively.
My excellent understanding of double entry accounting procedures provide me with the basis of dealing with various aspects of reconciliations i.e.; control account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, VAT reconciliation and dealing all aspect of ledger accounts. I also have an excellent understanding of Sage line 50 and 100 and had also used many accounting packages. Recently I worked with East Surrey College on a contract basis teaching Financial Statements, Personal Tax, and Financial Performance (AAT Level 4).

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is to groom my students in a flexible manner towards passing their exams and ensuring that my lectures are carried out in a friendly and conductive environment that involves every student. I believed that teaching is a social institution as much as it is a profession, hence partnering with my students by becoming one of them provides me that yardstick to which a good relationship between us is established.

The emotional and social (pastoral) platform I created enable free communication between us and giving me that opportunity to gain their trust and their cooperation. The ramification of this is their countenance when they work in the morning and their readiness to discuss issues or their concerns with me.

My approach to teaching is methodical, resulting from the principle of hard working and professional discipline; my scheme of work and lesson plans are well prepared ahead of the start the course and handed over to my students at the very first day of every semester. Also the weekly lesson plans are given to my students one week in advance of the lectures. I always seek to start every topic within a syllabus with a tutorial question that provides student with that rudiment or fundamental principles in which that topic is enshrined.

I like the idea of interactive class, as a result I used questions as a means of communicating my lectures with my students and ensuring every student within the class is involved. I moved from one table to the other and where necessary I dealt with student on a one to one basis if I felt a particular student seemed to be lacking behind. Passing any paper within any accountancy professions require a lot of reading and treating many past questions by students.

Note that my rate is £40 flat rate if you are only requesting for one hour tuition . I DO NOT DO HOME VISIT. Please do not contact me for home visit please. Thanks!

Personal Description:
I was born in the Dominican Republic and my family moved to the USA as a young teen where I finished my High School and university education.
I have lived in many different places like Florida, Jamaica, Curacao, Suriname and now London.
I absolutely love to teach languages. It brings me great satisfaction to help my students learn to communicate in the language of their choice.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught EFL and Spanish for 12 years 1:1 and in groups at a corporate level. I have also taught High School Spanish and French in USA. I have tutored students in Spanish, English and French at all levels, for A levels, GCSE, business or pleasure with great success.

Tutoring Approach:

A teacher should be able to make his lessons dynamic and interactive, always engaging the student and learning about their learning style. In a group setting it is important to differentiate and in 1:1 lessons it is vital to tailor the lessons according to the needs of the student.

Personal Description:
Highly experienced tutor, currently completing my PhD in chemistry at Imperial College London.

With an enthusiastic approach to learning and a real passion for my subject I develop students into inquisitive, capable learners and consider mentoring students in a love of science to be an important goal.

I achieved the highest grade possible in all science and maths subjects during my school education and having completed my Masters in Chemistry at Oxford in 2011 I have also worked in various roles in industry and academia, allowing me to convey the real significance of science to the students who study with me.

A & A/S-Levels : 4As (2007)
GCSEs : 9A*s, 2As (2005)

Teaching Experience:

Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy

I have over three years experience, teaching over 100 students from secondary up to undergraduate level. I am a professionally trained undergraduate tutor and laboratory demonstrator, recently awarded an Associate Fellowship of the HEA in recognition of my contribution to undergraduate learning and my continuing development as an educational practitioner.

As a result of my teaching programme at Imperial College, I was awarded a Student Academic Choice Award - chosen by the students - for excellence in chemistry tutoring and communication.

Alongside my direct tutoring experience I have also taken part in the assessment and development of teaching material in chemistry and in the interview process at Imperial College, allowing me to offer targeted advice for students who wish to excel. Having attended both Oxford and Imperial College I can offer highly relevant admissions advice for university entrance interviews at Oxbridge and London-based institutions.

Working with students from across the world, I have experience of tutoring students whose first language is not English and am familiar with dealing with any issues that arise from this.

Some reviews of my work:

"My teaching experience with Peter has been really positive, he really challenges me to achieve my best and I have particularly developed my critical thinking skills with him" (A-level student)

"Peter is really friendly and helpful, as an international student who has studied in several countries I can say his methods are very strong and he explains complicated topics very well" (A-level student)

"I struggled with several areas of my course before studying with Peter, but now things are so much easier! He can explain things in so many ways when I'm stuck, highly recommended" (GCSE student)

"Peter is one of the best tutors we have had and is always on time and prepared, he is obviously very knowledgeable about the subjects he teaches" (Parent of GCSE student)

"My daughter had lessons with Peter for several months and her confidence in the subject increased hugely over this time, I would strongly recommend his services, the improved exam results speak for themselves" (Parent of A-level student)

Tutoring Approach:

Having taught scientific subjects up to undergraduate level I have a keen understanding of the different learning styles of students and am able to adapt my teaching to suit the student.

Using various teaching methodologies to deepen understanding, wherever possible I like to employ additional techniques such as scientific software and interactive elements alongside theory in order to bring the subject to life.

Students who study with me are encouraged and supported in developing critical thinking skills, by analysing information more deeply, allowing them to become more efficient, resourceful learners in the future.

I have two main approaches for the students I teach:
For students struggling in a subject I aim to build up confidence in the area by ensuring lessons are relaxed and engaging rather than focused on specific topics. Once a student has become more comfortable in the subject, more targeted study can take place based on the syllabus.
For students who are competent in their subject but need additional support to excel, I take a more focused approach and work with the student on any weak points and advanced topics, supported by exam technique and practice questions.
In both cases I aim to broaden the knowledge of the student beyond specific subject guidelines, with the goal of developing a passion for their subject.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Personal Description:
Hello everyone! /Bonjour à tous !
My name is Sarah, I am an enthusiastic, patient and diplomatic young French native. I am willing to teach and help anyone with the beautiful French language.
What else about me? I am a music lover and enjoy going to gigs as much as I can, with a preference for the band Coldplay… I love long walks in nature (preferably with a cute dog by my side), and discovering new places.

I am currently unemployed and would relish the opportunity to gain experience in tutoring. I would love the opportunity to share my French skills with anyone needing help or willing to learn.

Teaching Experience:

I may not have the past of teaching but I firmly believe that my abilities are matching the role of Tutor. I am able to adapt to very different situations, and also well organised. Three years spent in the UK and translating articles from English to French for ColdplayCorner.com made me confident with the English language.
I proved my abilities with children by working temporarily in a primary school in France in 2012 and 2013. I was in charge of the supervision at lunch time and sometimes break time with kids from age 3 to 6.
I, later on in 2013, moved to London to learn English and the perks of the British culture. I was working as an Au-Pair/Nanny for 3 children (aged 7 to 12 when I started) in Camden from September 2013 to September 2016. I loved my job and being close to the children every day, the best positive experience of my life so far!

Tutoring Approach:

The idea of tutoring has held much fascination for me ever since I have a keen love for education and loved all my school years. I am convinced I have what it takes to develop and implement tutoring plans that best fit each individual student I could have. I could use my personal skills to always stay calm and positive with the students. I can work comfortably with people from diverse backgrounds and can exhibit patience and judgement, especially where the need for both is dire.
For example, for anyone who wants to learn a bit of French, I would start with the basics and go more and more deeply in the language. I can make the lesson enjoyable by talking about one the favourite subject of the student. In my opinion, this is a good way of teaching and learning a language as it encourages interaction and communication. I can also do basic lessons and help students with their homework.
