Personal Description:
An enthusiastic and out going Latin American Spanish teacher from Argentina with a passion for helping others improve their language skills! - Especially Spanish

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching Spanish as a foreign language in Argentina and UK for a couple of years.
_________________________________
In addition to languages I also teach drama and free expression for beginners and would be actors. A great technique to learn if you want to build personal confidence in every aspect of life - from delivering business presentations to building personal friendships.

Tutoring Approach:

I design the classes depending on the student needs. Normally my classes include:
________________________________
Regular classes with a careful mix of 25% listening, 25% oral, 25% reading and 25% writing skills all of which can be adjusted to meet the specific needs of the student. The classes use a range of techniques and games and inevitably have special homework assignments!

Conversation classes: In these the student and I develop special themes (for college, work or just for fun!) and use those "themes" to help build grammar and vocabulary. The conversation classes are dynamic, full of games, and involve a little bit of acting - what better way to out your language skills into practice!

Special classes: In these we handle a wide range of "real life" activities, from watching a movie, going to the supermarket, visiting a park and learning how to tango!
________________________________
The lessons can range from an hour to a whole day - so the classes can fit around your social, school and business life. So now there is no excuse in not getting going!

Personal Description:
I am 27 years old. I studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford, where I finished with a first, and I also studied for an MA at York in Post-war Recovery studies.

My main areas of interest are in philosophy, religious studies and economics. I find the philosophy of religion and ethics particularly interesting. I also have a strong interest in international development and peacebuilding.

Outside of studying, I am a keen sportsman and especially enjoy rugby, tennis and football. I love listening to music, I write poetry and I continue to enjoy reading.

Teaching Experience:

I have worked as a personal tutor.

While at sixth form, I was a volunteer mentor on a mentoring program for young people. For those hoping to apply to Oxbridge, I am able to provide some personal feedback and advice about the application process, gleaned from my own experiences.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring focuses on developing discussions rather than providing lectures on topics. I think the key to succeeding in any area of study is developing a passion for the topic in hand, and this is what I will hope to help discover and develop in tutees.

Personal Description:
I am a Mathematics graduate from Cambridge University. After graduating, I worked in the IT industry, initially for a large corporation and then for an independent software house. I later formed my own company, specialising in developing applications for small- to medium-sized companies. I used the logical skills developed through studying Mathematics in my work as Business Analyst and Project Manager.
Since 2009, I have been tutoring Mathematics full-time. I also study extensively to keep up to date with the latest mathematical ideas and educational trends. I ensure that I am familiar with the most recent syllabuses.
Outside work, my main interest is music, particularly singing. I belong to two choirs.

Teaching Experience:

I teach exclusively one-to-one, as I believe that provides the best outcome for learning Mathematics. I am also available for home schooling: please contact me for rates.
In the six years that I have been tutoring Mathematics, I have taught the following topics to over 200 pupils on a one-to-one basis:
GCSE - Edexcel, AQA and iGCSE - legacy and 9-1

• Kingston College
Most of my university pupils attend Kingston University, Surrey University, or one of the University of London colleges, though many come for intensive lessons in the holidays from other universities to reinforce the topics they are learning, or to prepare for re-sits.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in tailoring the teaching approach to each student's needs and individual learning style. For school children and university students, I discuss their aims with them - and with their parents, if required - to determine what topics need additional tuition and then to work out the appropriate programme. I advocate continuous assessment to measure the student's progress. Closer to exams, the pupils will work through old papers. At this stage, strategic choices may be made to focus on the pupils strengths.
For adults, I work with them to develop a personalised programme to enable them to achieve their goals. This may mean working towards a specific qualification.
I have great passion for and a deep knowledge of Mathematics. My aim is always to get my students to enjoy the subject. Most importantly, they are encouraged to gain confidence in their own abilities by building on what they feel comfortable with. I believe that the right teacher can undo wrong learning very quickly.
Lessons take place at my students' homes, or at my home in Kingston, where I have a quiet study. Assignments and homework are an integral part of my teaching: there can be no improvement without practice.

Personal Description:
Master Degree in Applied Mathematics at University of Cambridge (Part III Tripos), focus: Theoretical Physics.

BSc Mathematics and Physics at University College London (UCL). Received 1st-Class Honours over all years.

Graduated 43/45 points in International Baccalaureate (IB) with 7s in (HL) Mathematics, Physics, Economics, (SL) Geography and English. Received 7 A* 1A 1B in IGCSE including above subjects.

4+ years of experience in University/Secondary (especially in A-levels) tutoring. Always highly recognised for excellent teaching and enjoyable lessons!

Teaching Experience:

4+ years of Tutoring experience on IB (International Baccalaureate) and A-level (HL) Mathematics and Physics. Encourage guided training on exercise problems and past papers. Have been highly known for excellent teaching, being clear and rigorous at appropriate levels. All students I've taught have highly positive reviews and enjoyed the lessons thoroughly, while finding themselves coming out with a solid understanding and appreciation of Maths and Physics.

Also I can provide insight if you are thinking of pursuing Mathematics or Physics in University, from "what is maths like in Uni?", to advices in different schools, how to apply and write personal statement, etc.

Tutoring Approach:

Most likely will conduct tutoring in a classroom in University Campus, unless specifically request otherwise. This gives easy access to whiteboard for clearer teaching.

Training in Maths and Physics requires a clear, solid, understanding of the key concepts and rigorous logic. The best approach towards Maths and Physics is to allow tutees to voice any possible doubts towards the subject and then clarify them while making it more solid. After that, consistent practice with real life problems and Past Paper questions, under guidance, will enable tutees to fully achieve their potential, ideally.

Finally, people achieve their best if they find something interesting. All my students so far have always find my teaching fun and enjoyable, making learning much more easy and effective! I believe this is the key to continued learning to maximise one's potentials.

- Interactive approach, clarifying doubts and questions towards subjects
- Able to phrase concepts and theories in clear and fun ways
- Work on past papers questions
- Tips and Advice for exams
- Solid training preparing skills that applies to any subject

Personal Description:
I am a higher level TA with ten years of teaching experience. I am 28 years old and I am currently working with young people up to the age of 18 with RMBC and I also work with young people with disabilities.

Teaching Experience:

I have worked in primary education for ten years. I have worked as a one to one with children with Special Educational Needs and developed my skills training to be a Higher level Teaching Assistant.
Throughout my time in Primary education, I have worked effectively with teams in Key Stage one and two. Due to my extensive experience and educational background I often cover for teachers. I am able to confidently teach from a given plan, adapting the teaching where required and utilising support staff effectively. I have a solid understanding of the essential skills and learning outcomes and have used this knowledge to support children where necessary.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in a personalised learning approach. The activities I use are dependent on the child and the way they learn. I understand that children can learn visually, kineasthetically or can be auditory learners. Therefore I adapt my teaching and my activities to suit the learner.

Personal Description:
I am an avid musician and educationalist, with a passion for sharing my interests in music and learning with children and young adults. As a parent and trained Teacher, I can see from different perspectives the different aspects of learning in life, and am keen to foster a love of learning whenever I am involved with a child or young person.

Teaching Experience:

I have 7 years experience working in a Special Needs school working across the 11-19 age range primarily, with much crossover into Primary and Early Years. When my children were at nursery I worked closely with the team to develop their behaviour management and early communication skills, giving me a different range of experiences to call upon. I have also taught private music lessons with great client satisfaction for over 10 years.

Tutoring Approach:

I am experienced in adapting my approach to delivery depending on context, having worked in classrooms, with learner orchestras, and in 1:1 settings. Fun and enjoyment should be central to a successful learning experience, and I try to ensure a relaxed approach in sessions facilitates this.

Personal Description:
I am 53 years old, have lived in Manchester all of my life (except for a brief time in Glasgow where I met my wife!) We have five children and usually have one or two foster children with us. We love to do stuff together; camping, fishing, walking, canoeing, you name it, we'll have tried it. By my friends I am known as Bar-B-Q Steve. To my tutees I'm known by a variety of names but mainly as the guy who helped them get where they wanted to get to. They all started in Manchester but are now truly all over the world doing some amazing things; this brings me the greatest pleasure.

Teaching Experience:

I gained Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) in 1987. Since then I have worked in both High School teaching Physics and in Primary School as a class teacher. Five years ago I further qualified as a specialist maths intervention teacher. I presently work at a Primary School running maths intervention programs. I have received and given training in the new 2014 National Curriculum and am therefore aware of new approaches being used by schools.

Tutoring Approach:

Being a current school teacher, I am always keen to find a strategy that fits alongside what your child's school is providing. This I do by studying materials your child brings home, observing strategies which your child uses and occasionally by speaking to schools. I believe lessons should be both educational and enjoyable. There is a pleasure in self-improvement which I will want to build into your child so that they grow in self-confidence through learning.

Personal Description:
Hi!

My journey into the Martial Arts began aged 19. I was looking for self discipline and defence skills which would help boost my confidence and help me gain insight into my life purpose. I had researched various styles of combative arts and Ju Jitsu appealed to me. I had some experience of judo and karate, but Ju Jitsu I felt, would be better suited to street self defence.

I have trained with some exceptional people in my 12 years of martial arts. Seeking teachers and students alike who were looking for substance and integrity, not just the ability to destroy the body. I feel privileged to have gained a vast and varied skill set which has been infused with training with teachers and students of other disciplines including Brazilian Ju Jitsu, Thai Boxing, Greco Wrestling, Kali to name a few.

I gained my Instructor level 1st Dan in Ju Jitsu in 1999. I have taught self defence to people from all walks of life from 16 years to 70 years!

I am also a qualified Master Tui Na practitioner, which is a medical massage that is a component of Traditional Chinese Medicine (it has nothing to do with the dark side of the unregulated Chinese Medicine market that deals in animal parts).
I studied Tui Na with Bodyharmonics who are the Mercati family based in Cheltenham, gaining Credit and Distinction diplomas in Foundation/Master Tui Na Practitioner in 2003/04.

I also have many years experience of meditation techniques and have also gained Reiki Master/Teacher level in Hands and Feet lineage. I am qualified and insured to teach Reiki to Master level.

I have always had a inquisitive and respectful approach to acquiring new skill sets and firmly believe that self discovery and teaching others with respect and compassion is earned and returned not by how many pieces of paper may be on one's wall, but by how we treat ourselves and others.

Teaching Experience:

Ju Jitsu - Self Defence - 1989 to 2003 under supervision/instruction of Master Jeff Sawyer 6th Dan Ju Jitsu

Reiki Workshops & Level I, II and Master - 2008 to present

Introduction to Tui Na Massage, including Baby/Infant Massage

(** Please note that travel costs are charged at 40p per mile **)

Tutoring Approach:

I am patient, approachable and have a calm disposition.

I have many years experience of teaching private students in all my disciplines.

In 2012/13 I gained a City & Guilds PTTL's qualification to complement my teaching at Exeter College. I am qualified to teach 16 years onwards privately, in the workplace and in adult education centres.

Moreover between the years 1996 and 1999, in addition to teaching Mathematics in a private school (located in Bandar Mah-shahr), I was employed as a Technical (Mechanical) inspector in B.I.P.C.(Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex) which also enabled me to achieve a BEng. in Chemical Engineering (Petrochemical Industry) in 1999. After returning to the U.K. And becoming a qualified teacher (DTLLS), I specialised further into Pure Mathematics and gained a BSc(hons) in Pure Mathematics in 2007 and an MSc in Pure Mathematics in 2015 as a distance learner with the Open University in Milton Keynes. I currently teach Mathematics to undergraduate students in particular Calculus and Differential equations up to any first degree. I also enjoy working with A-level students (Mathematics & Mechanics) as well as GCSE students (Mathematics).
