Personal Description:
I am a qualified IT specialist and taught Computing and IT at secondary school. I am currently working as a tutor within schools and privately teaching English, Maths, Physics and IT. I am very patient, and approachable. I have years of experience working with both young people and adults, as in the past I was responsible for the training and development of 30 staff. I have carried out training needs analysis and recognized training and development resulting from the gaps identified. I helped the organisation to achieve both Investors In People and Charter Mark awards.

Teaching Experience:

I have over 15 years experience training and development of employees in an organisation, working with consultants to develop training courses and workshops for the staff. I have taught very successfully for over 5 years in schools and have got really good feedback from students and parents. I am passionate about teaching and committed to helping students make real academic progress. I take a holistic view, I am supportive and sensitive to the students/tutees needs. I am able to work with tutees with special educational needs as I will differentiate resources accordingly. I generally agree and set targets, which are regularly checked to ensure progress towards the learning outcome. In tutoring, resources are tailored to meet the learner's needs. I have been developing my pedagogy and teaching skills by working in schools that provide education for students with special needs in particular those on the Autism Spectrum.

Tutoring Approach:

My tutoring sessions are interactive, fun and stimulating as I believe it is important to help students explore and understand their skills and knowledge base. I support each student in all aspects of learning, including homework support, speaking, listening, reading, writing, practical and functional skills, students undertake assessments to improve both their subject knowledge and examination results. I love this profession because you never stop learning; every new part requires research into a historical epoch or subject creating an expansive remit which no course I can imagine could afford.

I am a young professional who has been teaching for several years. Currently I teach a mixture of ICT, Computer Science & Business Studies. I believe in having a good rapport with the students I teach and use innovative and creative methods in my lessons to spark the engagement and development of my students. I have taught a whole collection of students at different levels and achieved a 100% pass rate with my students at KS4 & 5.

I have marked for the exam board OCR since 2014 and marked a mixture of OCR GCSE Computer Science and OCR Cambridge Nationals in ICT exam papers allowing me to provide useful insight into the exam marking systems used by exam boards.

Teaching Experience:

I currently teach at a secondary school in Leeds and teach from Key Stages 3 to 5. I currently have classes studying ICT, Computer Science and Business Studies. As part of my role I lead the Computer Science courses which include OCR Computing and the new OCR 9-1 Computer Science course. Tutoring Approach:

I believe in using a variety of teaching methods to suit the needs of the student to ensure each individual person can succeed. I believe that all students deserve to achieve and that is accomplished through a variety of styles alongside regular monitoring and assessment but also through a positive, professional manner.

Personal Description:
Hi! My name is Hana and I am very excited at this opportunity to become a tutor.

I obtained 10 GCSEs, including an A* in French and English. I then moved on to take the Intenational Baccalaureate rather than A-levels which improved my general skills as well as subject knowledge. I achieved a level 5 in both French and English Literature (both at higher level).
I am currently studying French and Art at university.

Teaching Experience:

A few years ago I did a week of work experience in a primary school, working with children from the age of 4 up until the age of 11. During this placement I assisted with English and reading, art lessons and French lessons. The experience was very rewarding and I even received (handmade) presents from some of the students when I left!

Very recently I worked and lived in a château in France for 8 weeks, vastly improving my level of French during my stay. I also began to teach some French children a bit of English, but most of my time was taken up speaking French with the locals and visitors who came to stay in the château.

I have also helped my younger brother and neighbours with homework and revision several times!

Tutoring Approach:

I hope to tutor in a fun and practical manner, using art or memory techniques where I can! I can change my approach depending on the age of the person being tutored, as well as their individual needs and requirements.
I myself find that colours, pictures and interesting work sheets can aid learning and revision, thus I will try to incorporate these where I can!

Tutoring Approach:

I aim to provide a solid grounding in Arabic, English and Koran while paying close attention to the needs of the individual. Learning should be fun and engaging, not a sort of punishment.

Personal Description:
Hi, I`m Carmen. I am a Cambridge Graduate with a Degree in German language, literature and history. I offer fun and informative lessons in German, French and History. Whether you are aiming for exams or simply want to brush up your languages skills to make friends on holiday, I can help! I love learning new languages and understand the challenges language learners face using a range of resources and learning techniques, I aim to help you learn to love improving your languages skills too!

I can teach at my home in York or can travel to you, or meet you at a mutually convenient location in York or Leeds.

Teaching Experience:

I have French, Latin, History and German A-levels at A or A* grade and have been tutoring since I was in sixth form. have experience teaching a range of ages and am skilled at tailoring classes to your needs. I recently spent 6 months in German-speaking Namibia teaching English, German, History and Music, in individual and group classes to pupils from 7 to 18. I have also taught English as a Foreign Language to ages 8 to adult at a summer camp in Kazakhstan, and have spent 3 summers teaching at a summer camp in Texas.

I understand that there is no one-size fits all approach to teaching and listen to my pupils to fit out what works best for them. Learning languages should be fun, so I use a range of resources and topics to engage my pupils in their language learning. I combine this with providing a detailed understanding of the grammatical mechanisms of the language, as these are vital for fluency.

Personal Description:
I'm a good science student. My favourite subject always Maths, Science, Physics, Computer/IT. I always achieved 95% + mark in math since my school term to Degree level. I also always got good marks in Physics and computing.

I love to teach kids, adult who is interested learning. I know the trick to let enjoy learning to make sure my student is enjoying learning and understanding what i'm trying to teach.

I'm happy to teach online (skype). If the student does know how to set up skype, i will visit your home and will set up skype and will show my student how to use it. A part from my tuition hour, if there is extra hour needs i'm happy to provide extra hours in tuition.

I'm also happy to provide free teaching to make sure parents like my teaching to their children. If you don't like my teaching you reject me during this free teaching.

Teaching Experience:

I always provided free teaching to help student on their GCSE and A level. I taught our neighbor to learn and taught their children.

Tutoring Approach:

i would prefer to teach on online to save time both side. Parent don't need to waste time to drop or pick up their children. I can record the teaching session if parents want to see what their children learning. They can see straight way what their children is learning.

Personal Description:
I am currently studying for a Master's Degree in Creative Writing at the University of Surrey, and applying for my PhD in the same subject, having completed a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing & Philosophy. I am a highly experienced writer, avid reader, and keen researcher. Above and beyond my academic pursuits, I believe strongly in being courteous, professional, and well-dressed at all times, living by the adage that a man is never properly dressed without a tie.

Teaching Experience:

I have a long history of teaching which began when I was studying for my A-levels, teaching judo to primary school children. I also led and taught a Creative Writing society at Alton College before I moved on to my undergraduate degree, a role within which I oversaw the publication of an anthology of student writing. During the latter years of my Bachelor's Degree, I taught creative writing, narration, and game design to younger students on an informal basis, and served as president of the university's PSiFA society. In that role I managed a society of over one hundred members, led meetings, gave speeches, and organised logistics. Now, I am looking to tutor privately while I work full-time on my Master's.

Tutoring Approach:

When it comes to learning, I believe that the most effective method is to teach through example and practice. Learning lists of facts by rote is a poor method, and all too common in education these days. I believe that students learn best when they are actively engaging in the subject, by writing their own work, assessing and identifying their own mistakes, and relying on the guidance and advice provided by a tutor rather than being lectured. Most people retain knowledge and learn best when they do things for themselves. In writing specifically, imagination should be encouraged and developed, and I specialise in three core areas; workshopping through written exercises (having the student write short pieces aimed at developing certain areas, and then assessing them through discussion), combining research with writing (learning research skills and showing how they can be applied to improving the student's writing), and planning & structure (to create effective work methods).
