Personal Description:
I am a highly trained, experienced, self motivated and flexible individual with excellent organisational/interpersonal and communication skills, able to operate at all levels, with students from all backgrounds and nationalities.
I began my Photographic career over twenty years ago, then slowly slipped into Film making as a natural progression.
I have shot photographic projects and films all over the world, and have been an ambassador representing several schools, colleges and universities whilst involved in this work.

Teaching Experience:

I have over twenty years of Photography and Film making experience, working abroad to shoot several short films in Prague, Paris, Africa and China. I have worked with both African and Chinese students in their countries, shooting a variety of Photographic and Film projects, having spent three months, and one month in these respective countries.

I have over twenty years of teaching/training experience in various establishments, Schools, Colleges, Universities, and with various council's throughout the Midlands. I have over twenty years of experience of dealing with a wide variety of students , from various backgrounds. I have worked with students of all ages, from primary school, to adult students in their eighties!
I have worked with people from mental health units, drug rehabilitation centres, and the probation services, using the creative media and arts as a form of therapy to bring about positive change.

Over twenty years of writing and delivering bespoke re-engagement training courses in a wide variety of areas (including photography, film making, digital imaging, film and media studies, literacy, numeracy, preparation for work training, CV writing, personal motivation and decision making), to disenfranchised, marginalised students.

Excellent computer/I.T. skills using a wide range of high end/professional software for video editing, image manipulation and audio visual presentations/performances.
Extensive experience of curriculum development, development of schemes of work, child protection policies, professional practices, and internal verification of work using assessment criteria from a multitude of awarding bodies.
I have been associated with UK Tutors since 2005.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching is a very relaxed, informal one, giving the student ample opportunity to attempt things for themselves, and to allow them to flex their own creative and mental muscles with support and guidance where necessary.
Students are allowed to be themselves, feel relaxed , comfortable, to be able to make mistakes, without the pressure of being surrounded by or judged by their peers.
I often use projects to reinforce creative ideas or techniques, so that students begin to create their own portfolio's of their photographic work or video clips that they can use to create a show reel.

Therefore I do lots of practice questions and exam focused topics. I have study resources from where I choose material according to students' learning requirements. Main objective is to enable students to apply the theoretical concepts learnt from their academic studies to practical business environment. Normally I start from very basic easy examples and then gradually go towards complex exam questions, so that students get the confidence that they will pass the exams. I also provide online tuition, using shared documents and skype or phones. I send my own study material to students via e mail, communicate with them on skype or phone, they send me their questions or past papers, i solve them and send them scanned solutions, then explain on skype. I always teach my students in a very friendly environment. I tell my students take exams like a tournament and think they are the players, and I m their coach, together we have to make a strategy, a plan to win the game (exam :). Personal Description:
I am a qualified and experienced teacher of mathematics and physics at GCSE and A level. I am registered with the DfE and possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Over the past two years I have conducted hundreds of Intervention Tutorials in local schools particularly in mathematics. In my private tutoring much of my work involves helping students to get the grades they need to pursue their chosen A level studies or to get to the university of their choice. My results in these respects have been first rate. I conduct home visits for students based in Bournemouth and Poole and online tuition for those based further afield.

Teaching Experience:

Over ten years teaching experience in schools, colleges and private one to one tuition. Throughout this time I have taught maths and physics mostly at GCSE and AS/A2 level. My experience covers AQA, OCR and Edexcel exam boards. It includes mathematics up to and including Further Maths (FP1/FP2,...)

Tutoring Approach:

Most of my tutees are looking for help in raising their grades especially for university entrance purposes and whilst I spend considerable time helping tutees work through past paper exam questions I always emphasise the need for a thorough understanding of the fundamental concepts.

Most of my tutees have a good idea where in the syllabus they have issues and these tend to be the starting point in a tutorial. Identifying gaps in their knowledge and understanding and then helping tutees to bridge these gaps is a key feature of my tutorials. I also place considerable emphasis on problem solving as this is ultimately what the exams are all about in mathematics and physics.

Personal Description:
I've been living in England for over 15 years, most of them in a tranquil town of Bradford on Avon. I'm a keen reader and chair a reading group. I have two extremely bright and boisterous boys, both of them completely bilingual, talking, reading and writing in both languages from an early age. I find that teaching comes very natural to me however I use all the latest techniques recommended by teaching authorities.

Teaching Experience:

For the last three years I've been contracted to teach Russian Language for MoD, which means that sometimes I can be extremely busy but most of the time I still have sessions available.
I am working towards teaching qualification (Cert Ed leading to Diploma in Education)

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in using different ways of teaching and learning approaches (VAK). I recognize the necessity of inclusion, equality and diversity, to approach the learners differently according to their needs. During my PTLLS course I learnt how to plan my lessons using scheme of work and lesson plan. Writing lesson plan was particularly useful as it helped me to break it down into parts in order to monitor progress and plan the lesson better time-wise I also like to use different resources, including e-learning as well as textbooks, spreadsheets and printouts. I make sure that my lessons are interesting and relevant.
As a part of a course, I teach Russian Grammar and we do plenty of dialogues, free writing, read Russian literature and poetry, listen and watch Russian news.

Personal Description:
I am a confident, approachable and calm person, with an extent knowledge of the English Literature and Language curriculum, as well as the performing arts. I have a 2:1 degree from the University of Portsmouth in English and Drama, and now currently studying a MA degree in Shakespeare Studies. I have had many years experience in teaching and supporting children with the completion of coursework and homework, as well as providing help within classroom based lessons. I have volunteered at secondary schools, assisting within their english and drama departments, and now currently employed at at junior school as a teaching assistant.

Teaching Experience:

I have previous experience as a teaching assistant with KS2, KS3 and KS4 level English and Drama, within both junior and secondary schools.
I also have experience in leading KS2 to KS4 level drama outside of school hours.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that secondary school students should be independent, critical thinkers, being able to easily relate historical context to the English Literature curriculum. I would provide information and set small homework tasks that will give the student both historical contexts and a further understanding of the source discussed, enabling them to make a further connection with the author. This is one of the criteria's that examiners look for in GCSE English papers, so I hope to improve this skill.

I also hope to make the subject of English and Drama enjoyable, conducting assessments and learning through games. For subjects such as Shakespeare, I endeavour to use clips of performances and DVD's to help with the analysis of the language. I will also set small creative homework tasks, that make learning fun and creative.

My main approach for KS2 students would be to make English fun and creative, conducting games and exercises that will both entertain and educate.

Personal Description:
I studied at the University of Ulster at Coleraine and hold an honours degree in Molecular Bioscience.

I worked in the Science industry for 4 years but I have found a new passion in tutoring as I feel it draws more on my abilities and I can give more back to students by helping them to do their best and to enthuse them.

Teaching Experience:

I am currently working at Victoria College Belfast, grammar school for girls.

My initial experience in tutoring was through completing two Tutoring in Schools programmes - offering voluntary tuition to pupils most in need.

In addition I have over two years of experience as a private tutor with students obtaining fantastic results. I am experienced in tutoring Maths, Chemistry and Physics at GCSE and AS/A2 Level as well as transfer tests.

It is wonderful to see students become more and more confident and enthusiastic in areas that they previously struggled with.

(4/5) (GCSE Maths) "I think that you have helped me a lot in terms of understanding topics that I previously would not have known and helping explain them to me in a great amount of detail."

From Veronika (5/5): (Secondary Physics) Highly recommended. He is very good at teaching.

From Alison (5/5): (GCSE Chemistry) Ching is an excellent tutor and really helped my daughter succeed in her GCSE.

Reply from Ching Lun: Thanks Alison, I'm very pleased that I helped out

From Beena (5/5): (GCSE Maths)

From Margaret (5/5): (Primary English) A real gentleman and such a calm helpful teacher. If only all teachers were as caring and nice!

Tutoring Approach:

I am very patient and considerate and I believe that effective tutoring involves listening well and being observant in order to give student-specific support to allow them to achieve the best results.

I ensure that my students can answer past paper questions well and with confidence. To achieve this, I help them to understand the topics at a fundamental level and understand the relevance that they have in general. Doing so makes topics easier to understand because it inspires interest in them.

Something that sets me apart from other tutors is that I genuinely put my students' success over my own gains - their results and enthusiasm for the subject is always top priority which is why my rates are much more reasonable.

I like to make good use of a variety of resources such as a vast collection of past papers, innovative iPad apps and worksheets / revision notes created specifically for each student for a very personal touch

Learning that one of my students achieved a great result is a fantastic feeling every single time and it inspires me to continue working hard as a tutor.

Personal Description:
Friendly, 25, Human Physiology (Hons), hard working, dedicated, passionate.

Teaching Experience:

Experience teaching in a junior school (voluntary, all subjects except music). Hosting A level 'clinics' in my free time during my A-levels and first year of university for people in need of help.

Tutoring Approach:

I aim to find the individuals background knowledge and learning style. Once this is established, I will use varying techniques to help the individual learn and retain the knowledge needed within the session, as well as give them exercises and homework to improve on their own, or in preparation for next time. The different techniques will vary from repetition, to visual / sensory linking, word association, drawing / being engaged physically in an activity and much more, identifying the best learning style and using the accompanying technique forms neural connections within the brain more easily and thus allowing one to access the information needed more freely and at will.
