Personal Description:
I have recently returned home to Northern Ireland after completing my PGCE and 6 years teaching experience in Newcastle Upon Tyne. In my career to date I have worked as classroom teacher as well as Head of Spanish. I have had specific responsibility for teaching Spanish and French to GCSE level and Spanish to A-level. In recent years I have had 93% A*-C success at GCSE level and 100% A*-C at A-level.

I hold a joint BA Hons degree in French and Spanish from Trinity College Dublin, which I achieved in 2009. During my time at Trinity I spent a year "off-books" in order to teach English as a Foreign Language Assistant in France and I spent 3 months studying in Spain. These experiences allowed me to immerse myself in the cultures and improve my fluency in each language.
I love languages and have always had a passion for learning languages and teaching.

Teaching Experience:

Park View School, August 2012 - August 2016: Teacher of French & Spanish, Head of Spanish
All Saints College, January 2011 - August 2012: Subject Leader of Spanish
Queen Elizabeth High School, September 2010 - January 2011: Teacher of French to A-level and Spanish

I am trained to teach both French and Spanish to A-level, however in recent years I have gained more experience teaching A-level Spanish. I have taught Spanish at both AS and A2 level, with specific responsibilities for teaching grammar, topic work, speaking skills, essay writing skills, and the regional topic for which I developed and completed three successful Spanish Exchanges with a school in Ciudad Real, Castilla-La Mancha. To date I have 100% A*-C success rate at AS and A2 level.
I have also taught French and Spanish to GCSE level and I have carried out numerous speaking exams. I work hard to ensure that my pupils are fully prepared and confident before sitting a speaking exam.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe I am a friendly, approachable individual and I have been commended for my positive rapport and warm relationship with my pupils. I thoroughly enjoy teaching, however I feel that one-to-one tutoring provides the opportunity to concentrate wholly on possible weaknesses and work together to overcome and master the language.

Personal Description:
I have been teaching Latin and Classical Studies for over 10 years. I have a BA Hons in Latin and Classical Studies from University College Dublin, a Masters in Classics from King's College London and a Diploma in Spoken Latin, for which I studied under the translator for the Vatican. I am passionate about my subject and love to share my enthusiasm for Latin with my students. As well as private tutoring, I also teach Latin and Classics in schools (both primary and secondary), run after school Latin clubs, and am also training teachers who will teach Latin as part of a project I am involved with to introduce Latin into state schools. I also teach Classical Studies and Ancient History.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching Latin and Classical Studies for over 5 years. My students have been of all ages and at vastly different stages in their learning. I have helped students who have been struggling with school coursework, helped prepare students for exams, and also designed entire curricula for students who wish to learn from scratch. I come with excellent references and proven results, with some previous students having gone on to study Classics at Oxbridge and other third level institutions, obtaining Latin scholarships to college, and even going on to teach Latin themselves in secondary schools. I have experience of private tutoring, small groups, classroom teaching at both primary and secondary level, exam preparation classes, after school clubs and running teaching workships to train future teachers of Latin.

Tutoring Approach:

I tailor my tutorials to fit the needs of each individual student.

Personal Description:
My name is Bárbara, I am Spanish (Madrid), I am 39 years old and I have been teaching Spanish and English as a Foreign Language since arriving to the UK in September 2005. Back in Spain, I finished my Teaching Degree, specialised in Modern Foreign Languages. I have always enjoyed teaching, communicating and sharing my knowledge with other people. Languages are an extremely important part in my life as my husband is Italian and my daughter was born in Cambridge and speaks three languages!

As a child I was always encouraged to study other languages. Since a very young age, I had three passions: Teaching, Languages and Nursing. I am not the type of person that wants to regret not doing something and wondering "What would have happened if …" so, I have done both Degrees, in Primary Teaching and Adult Nursing.

After working as an Oncology Nurse for some time, I am now fully focused on the language tutorials, translations and trips to Spain and UK for students.

Teaching Experience:

After finishing my A-Levels, I decided to do a Bilingual Course. I knew I liked and enjoyed languages but I did not have a well defined vocation by that time. Once I finished the two year studies including Spanish, English and French, I started working as a private English teacher for adult students with different requirements. That happened between 1997 and 2000. By that time I was sure Teaching was for me. I enrolled in a Primary Teaching Degree at CES Don Bosco University in Madrid that lasted four years. In 2005 I decided to teach abroad and I came to England with my husband. I started a business as Self-Employed Spanish Teacher for groups and individuals that lasted until I finished my second Degree as an Adult Nurse. During those years at Anglia Ruskin University I continued to work as a private teacher.
If you are interested in talking to some of my previous students or checking references, I am more than happy to provide them. I have an up to date CRB and my Self-Employed documentation to prove all the above mentioned dates.

Tutoring Approach:

I am passionate about teaching and working with children and adults and I am fully aware of the impact teachers can have on the student's future.
Under my point of view, a good teacher should be inspiring and encouraging and therefore remembered by the students forever. A great teacher must be aware of the long lasting impact their words and actions will have on the lives of his/her students.
A teacher must be able to hold the student attention at all times through an engaging personality and an interesting teaching style. In order to achieve this, the teacher needs to establish clear and realistic objectives for each lesson promoting positive behaviours and allowing space for possible changes in the classroom.
My experience as a private teacher and as a nurse have allowed me to develop my management and communication skills, both of them key to provide quality teaching. I have always had an excellent rapport with students and their parents in order to keep them informed about the lessons and possible issues. This should never interfere with the trusting relationship established between teacher and pupil. I have always had high expectations and encouraged my students to work at their best possible level.
I am a dedicated, enthusiastic and and responsible person who would love to continue teaching until the day I retire.
If you are interested in receiving information about my tuitions, please do not hesitate in contacting me.
Thanks and see you soon!

Personal Description:
Hi, my name's Chris and I provide a guitar tuition service in and around Worcester. I offer both acoustic and electric guitar lessons for beginner and intermediate students of all ages. I teach a variety of styles and can tailor lessons to your own musical interests so that you're not only learning the music you love, but developing other essential skills in a relevant musical context.

Teaching Experience:

I have 12 years experience playing guitar and hold a joint-honours degree in music.

Tutoring Approach:

In addition to teaching you how to play the guitar, I can offer expertise in other areas of music. Having spent three years studying music at university, and being a writer myself, I can assist you with your own compositions, arrangements and songs. Likewise I can help with the sometimes precarious art of accompanying yourself as a singer! The focus of lessons is up to you, though equally if you're unsure of exactly what you'd like to learn I can offer plenty of options. As a patient and considerate individual my lessons tend to be relaxed but highly productive.

Guitar lessons can be arranged at times to suit. I'm generally available on weekday afternoons and evenings but feel free to contact me to check my current availability. I teach at my family home in the Barbourne area of central Worcester but I am also willing to travel within Worcester and to nearby surrounding areas of Worcestershire. For this service I charge an additional fee to cover the cost of transport and travel time, this is £5 within Worcester and £10 for Droitwich and Malvern.

My rate is £15 per half hour, however longer lessons are perfectly possible. For more information, or to arrange a lesson please feel free to contact me.

Personal Description:
I am a current student at the University of Bath and I am studying German and International Management. I tutor photographer to university students and work freelance as a portrait and product photographer. I studied maths, further maths, German and chemistry at A Level.

At GCSE I studied maths, statistics, German, chemistry, biology, physics, philosophy and ethics, English language, English literature, history and ICT. I gained 9 A* grades and 3 A grades in the summer of 2011.

Teaching Experience:

I tutored 6th grade maths (year 9) in Honduras and have taught German to casual learners. I teach photography at my university for the Photographic Society. During my GCSE years I tutored German and maths to fellow students and at university I tutored statistics for the management course.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that often it is simply a case of providing more individual attention that can really help a student. Through my previous tutoring experience I have found that one-on-ones where I walk the student through the way to solve a problem and find where they are having the most difficulty. Often it is a lack of confidence in their ability that is holding them back, and once a student gets past that they can find it a lot easier to understand new (and old) material!

Personal Description:
I am an enthusiastic and exciting ex-Teacher and Science tutor with a Masters degree in Stem Cell Research. I enjoy empowering students, giving them the confidence to push themselves to bigger and better things. I'm easy to talk to and able to relate to students, regularly building excellent relationships which helps the whole teaching process.
I have a keen interest in football and socialising, and I come up with novel ways to teach students using methods which cannot be used in the classroom due to the numbers of pupils and time restrictions.

Teaching Experience:

My teacher training took place at Tarleton Academy in Lancashire, alongside my PGCE degree on a course called a SCITT (School Centred Initial Teacher Training). I taught all three Sciences and was seen as a crucial part of a young and exciting Science Department.
After completing my training, I was employed by my High school as a Science Teacher and was seen as one of the most exciting young teachers to come through the school in recent years. I taught Biology, Chemistry and Physics and pushed higher end pupils to new levels, giving them A Level and AS level material to challenge themselves with.
I recently left the profession to gain a different experience as a Manager in a Multi-million pound business, however I have kept my passion for teaching by tutoring students throughout this time.

Tutoring Approach:

I strive to empower students to make the most of their ability. I enjoy passing on my knowledge and the moment students realise that something is not as difficult as they thought. The 'Click' as I like to call it.
I'm easy to talk to and a good listener with the enthusiasm and skills to motivate students.
