Personal Description:
Very personable and hardworking. My teaching style can be the catered to the needs of each specific individual learner.
I also try to use humour to balance out the serious side of teaching, in order to develop a strong working relationship with the person(s) I am helping.
Teaching styles can and will include a variety of techniques, depending on the topic area at that time. I am comfortable working wth learners of all ages, and have worked with those from primary through to Adult learners.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught film and media at Knowsley community college for 13 years, and also taught communication studies in my final year at the colllege. Though it was mainly A level, I have also taught Btec units, and can teach gcse film and media studies, too. I have written one film book, and been published extensively with other journal articles for film and media topics - e.g. "Media Magazine" (English and Media centre) and "Splice" (Auteur publishing) film journal.

I have also more recently taught media at two pupIL referral units on merseyside, working with learners who are no longer suitable for mainstream education. Since 2015, I have been an examiner for A.S. film studies since 2015.
Throughout 2016, I have been a tutor in English, including working on on one with primary pupils (e.g. SATS exam prep, literacy and numeracy work) and also pupils studying foundation English/GCSE/igcse courses etc.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is to fulfill the potential academic ability of each student I work with, regardless of their starting point.
Though my approach is obviously a serious one, I can also ensure a light hearted tone when the time is right during any lesson, also. My significant teaching experience means I have applied a range of techniques, and methods of differentiation to get the best out of the learner.Clearly one to one teaching requires a different approach to that of one used when teaching over 20 plus learners.
My aim is to link the teaching the learning to the work the student is currently doing on their academic course, to ensure the the best outcomes for the learner, and build on the progress already being made. I always start by making contact with the teacher/tutor where relevant, and use this as a starting point before beginning my own tuition.

I have just graduated from Cambridge with First Class Honours in Law. I have a good academic background and achieved A's in all of my A-Levels (Law, History, Politics).

Teaching Experience:

I have always helped friends and family out and tutored them on an informal basis. I also have experience helping in a primary school classroom.

Tutoring Approach:

Very informal and relaxed, I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable. No question is too stupid and I'll never make anyone feel bad for not knowing the answers. Everyone learns differently and finding out the best way for you to learn is key. Everyone wants to pass their exams so obviously a key focus will be on exam technique and helping to perfect this by going over past papers together.

Personal Description:
I am a University graduate with a first class degree in Politics from Northumbria University. I completed a very well-received dissertation on the subject of citizenship in America. I plan on beginning a Master's degree in Political Theory at the University of Manchester in the next academic year.

Teaching Experience:

While taking my A levels I was a prefect, and my duties included helping English students in years seven and eight with their work. My Politics A level was self-taught with two other students. While at University I have served on the committee of the Debating society, where aside from helping students express their ideas, the training also often involved providing concise explanations of current events and related political theories.
I have worked with the veteran's charity Forward Assist, teaching political understanding and general knowledge to veterans to help them in civilian life.

Personal Description:
Having recently just graduated from the University of Leeds with a qualifying 2:1 law degree, I am now living back at home in St. Helens, Merseyside. I work weekdays as a graduate paralegal at a law firm, but in my spare time I would love to tutor people whose position I was in not very long ago. At college I did Law, English Language, Sociology and Geography. Law was my strongest subject which encouraged me to study it at University. I am extremely easy to get along with and have a real bubbly, down to earth personality.

Teaching Experience:

I have no teaching experience; however, as a recent graduate, what I do have is a big understanding of how difficult and daunting it can be to balance work time and down time. I have a great amount of patience and due to my love for Law, I feel I could teach what I know with great compassion and enthusiasm. I take pleasure in helping others and would go above and beyond to help someone reach their full potential.

Tutoring Approach:

Having studied Law for five years, I understand how much case law, facts and dates need to be retained. I would be able to show students the methods I used to help me remember such information as part of exam preparation. It's also key to problem solve and go through questions methodically and systematically, triggering cases as you go along. Past papers are a good way to do this, thus I could provide some of those and we would work through those together. At A-level I did Criminal Law, Tort Law and Contract law, so would feel most at ease teaching those subjects. I also got a 2:1 in all those modules at University and completed my dissertation in the field of Criminal Law.

Personal Description:
A dependable, passionate and well mannered Biomedical Science student with experience in tutoring. I am currently in my third year of studies, being trained in a pathological laboratory at the respectable Royal Marsden Hospital. In the future, I intend to undertake a PhD in my field and pursue a profession in lecturing.

Teaching Experience:

- Worked at Numberwork'n Words tuition centre as a maths and science tutor (taught pupils of all ages, from kindergarden to GCSE)
- Worked at Kumon tuition centre
- Previously tutored a student privately in GCSE mathematics

Tutoring Approach:

Personally I believe that every child is born with the ability to become a genius. There was a time when Albert Einstein had to learn how to count, when Shakespeare had to learn the alphabet, or when Darwin had to learn what biology even is. With the right attitude and guidance, there is absolutely no reason your child could not follow the footsteps of the most influential scholars.

The first meeting will be a discussion with the student/parents about the subject areas that need the most attention. Aside from adding to the pupil's knowledge, I will try my best to apply that information, and say why it needs to be learnt. My teaching method includes numerous questions and past papers, as this will be the most appropriate way to become comfortable with exams and get the most marks.

Personal Description:
Covering letter and statement

I believe art has always been a universal language, between people from different cultures and people of same culture but with different backgrounds, interests and experiences.
To me, art has to give a message, a feedback to the society and creates a some kind of social awareness of changes that always happen in our world.
In my work, I like producing art pieces which will bring people together in a discussion or an argument. To make them stop and think about things in life they may never considered before, which they will only enjoy doing so through the fantasy of art

I have been a loyal student to BCU, where I obtained, both my Fine Art degree and my MA in Art and Education Practice. Planning for my PhD research study too. This post will help me through my research and will give me a good access to both teaching and research. I have been looking for this opportunity to teach alongside my PhD study.
I became a practicing artist and researcher in the subject of Britishness and modern values since 2003. Working from my studio as well as researching . I am interested in culture diversity and community. I am quite focused on research and combining my work with strong evidence. I also have been teaching Arabic and have strong knowledge of the Middle East culture and I can give support to students coming from the Middle East, including helping them to gain confidence and engage with other fellow students. I also have great experience with special needs, being a mother of an autistic boy.
I have been developing my research skills for 13 years. I am quite an independent researcher and always looking for new methods to reach the maximum point I get to with my research. I believe in creativity and in carrying out new methods that suite different projects. Supporting my art work with strong research give me great credibility.
Supporting others too is a great passion for me. I always been involved in teaching both Arabic and art. I like passing my experience and knowledge to students, directing them to new research methods and making them independent researchers themselves. Good results requires good supervision. I believe students fail when they were not giving the right support or did not have a supervisor who understands their potential and help them enough throughout their study.

Khloud

Teaching Experience:

I have been also teaching Arabic to all age groups both in schools and privately for 16 years

Tutoring Approach:

I enjoy working with others in their projects and I like engaging them in mine. Good team work is essential for me. I have great experience in communicating with people of different cultures and backgrounds. I always update my research and analyse my outcomes and findings regularly. I am quite calm and patient. I listen to students and give them time, attention and respect.
I believe in fairness and equality. I have a great respect for education and all what it stands for in terms of diversity and giving equal opportunities to every student and member of staff. Helping others reaching their potential in a safe environment is essential in education programs and practices
I am most interested in helping students becoming Encouraging creativity in research carried out by students. No limits.

Personal Description:
I am a high achieving MSc Civil and Structural Engineering graduate with excellent work and study pedigree. I graduated with Distinction from Coventry University, United Kingdom. I am currently carrying out a PhD research in Engineering in Coventry University. My experiences so far has enabled me to build a broad range of leadership and interpersonal skills. Therefore, I am able to manage challenging behavior and communicate effectively with people from diverse background.

Teaching Experience:

I have a strong passion for teaching mathematics, logical and quantitative reasoning concepts. My ability to grasps the basic ideas in maths have allowed me to excel in technical concepts in Engineering. I have an experience of teaching undergraduates through the support assistant role in the university. I have had a one-on-one experience teaching and supporting an undergraduate student with great success in his studies and research work. I am really desirous of further developing my skills as a tutor in mathematics. This will enable me to further build a strong career as a teacher and lecturer. I served as a maths and computer education teacher in a secondary school during my compulsory national youth service just after my graduation from the university. I have had the experience of learning and applying real life mathematics concepts of trigonometry and algebra as an engineer working in the construction industry. A typical example of this was in the development of survey data for the design of roads and in the preparation of bill of quantities.

Tutoring Approach:

As a maths tutor, I have the aim of creating in students the ability to understand the basic ideas in mathematics. I also do aspire to instill in students the confidence that aids excellence in problem - solving especially in examinations as well as in answering questions to unfamiliar problems. My philosophy is based on the idea that the capacity to grasps and retain the needed skills is to relate mathematics with real life experiences. This then easily creates the atmosphere for the development of real passion for learning and appreciating the subject. Hence, I do not strive to make the student quote the ideas and the notions involved in the subject, instead I encourage the student draw analogies. Even though my approach does vary depending on the needs and learning style of the student involved, I do aim to foster independence in the student by encouraging deep critical thinking. After teaching a particular topic in mathematics, my method of assessment is to test the student's understanding through additional problems and humorous games that relate to the topic. Also, in order to assess the level of my teaching strategy, I do request feedback from the student on a regular basis.
