My original career plan was to teach, and so having undertaken my Professional Graduate Diploma of Education., I have contracts to teach Law and History subjects, at varying levels, including the Levels 3 and 6 Professional CILEX Law qualification, to different age groups. Assessment and curriculum requirements of the relevant course are paramount to ensure the student knows what the examining / awarding body expects in order to achieve. Once this is clear, the student can then begin to enjoy the learning through scenarios and stories
Review of learning, by inter-linking new topics with old, and use of examples and scenarios built and developed from experience, enables the student to recall and use what they know
Every student has an individual way of learning, and tapping into that is essential for transferring knowledge. Advice on examination technique, and the expectations of coursework are often neglected in mainstream teaching, yet are vital to qualification, and the use of knowledge.
I have a strong belief that tutees often overestimate the amount of paid tutoring they need, especially with the wealth of resources available, and with the appropriate guidance, the cost effectiveness of individual teaching and advice can surprise - in any case my charges are kept low, because I enjoy the work.
I'm happy to provide tuition at the tutees home, and only make a charge 12 per lesson for the return travel - that includes travel time and expense within a radius of 20 miles - learning should be fun as well as affordable, because if it's hard work, it's hard to remember.

I currently tutored in two secondary schools and have done since Nov 2013. I have been a full time private tutor since Oct 2013. I have tutored part time since Sept 2011. Prior to this I have had voluntary experience of supporting pupils within five secondary schools and one primary school.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that tutoring is all about formative assessment to establish the pupil's strengths and areas for improvement. A bespoke action plan will be developed tailored towards the pupil's educations needs. I am cheerful and supportive and believe strongly that everyone is capable of success.

I moved to Warwickshire from Kent in 2013 and I have chosen to settle in Stratford-upon-Avon. I have worked with children in schools; as well as helping to run a Brownies unit. Unfortunately I had to leave the Brownies when I began counselling training. I find that the listening skills I have developed are valuable when teaching; and especially when meeting parents or carers to discuss the requirements for tuition. I have worked in both primary and secondary schools as a teaching assistant. This was primarily in art in the secondary school, teaching children how to draw and use various materials to create great artwork. During these experiences I have found ways of explaining new information to children so they can apply it without supervision. My approach to tutoring is individualistic - each person has their own learning style and it is important to understand which way a student learns best. Some people are kinaesthetic learners, others are verbal and some have an amazing ability to memorize information. Personal Description:
I began at the University of Virginia in 2014 and have now returned home to England for the summer! I WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM THE BEGINNING OF JULY TO THE 19TH OF AUGUST. I completed my A levels in 2013 and am currently studying towards a double major in Foreign Affairs and Psychology. I'm a fun, hard working and energetic character whose always had a passion for working with children.

Because I`ve recently finished school I am very familiar with how the exam system runs, and know where the 'crunch' times will occur. As I am at university in America currently, I have completed the SATs multiple times so can help teach time management as I myself had to struggle to stay on top of 13 applications and extra essays!

I want to help kids create effective and fun ways to revise so that they can overcome the stress of everyday work loads and exams.

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored many different children on a weekly basis since 2013. Their ages range from 8-14 and at the moment I teach French, maths, English and verbal skills. I've been able to see a huge improvement with the kids that I worked with and I love getting to know each of them and build a relationship of trust and fun!

I have worked with children with disabilities for 4 years now, including those with autism and other mental challenges, to those with physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy. Working with children will not be difficult for me as I have also casually tutored friends on areas of work they found particularly hard, as well as helped them create work plans so they could stay on top of their studies. In addition, I have been selected to be an academic advisor to students entering their first years of university.

Tutoring Approach:

I think the most important part of being a tutor is helping the child find an effective strategy to deal with their work load. Whether that means using flash cards, creating mnemonics or testing, I want to make the process as fun as possible. In addition, I think helping anyone with their general work load will mean aiding them in creating usable structures and easy step plans so a 5 page essay can be managed in small bitesize sections. Learning time management is also equally important, so I would emphasise this too in my teaching.

I like to keep the lessons as fun and interesting as possible. Of course, work still needs to be done, but I don't like being forceful or strict. I want a child to be able to see me as someone to look up to and look forward to our lessons, rather than dread them!

Extra work is up to the child/parents, I'm happy to set prep so long as it isn't getting in the way of the child's other studies.

The Arab Fund for Arts & Culture is a private independent Arab initiative dedicated to empowering the Arab contemporary narrative through strategic cultural philanthropy.

These are my fees for one student:
15 pounds a class/hour if you are taking 10 classes together. 20 pounds if you are taking each class/hour at a time. My time is flexible, so MY hour is roughly an hour and 10 minutes or even more to make up for any lagging in the class.
Parents are welcome to come with their children to the class :-)

Teaching Experience:

12 years of experience in teaching the Arabic language for children and adults.

10 years of experience in teaching Koran for children, newly-converted Muslims and non-Arabic speakers.

12 years of experience in teaching English for non-English speakers.

Tutoring Approach:

I aim to provide a solid grounding in Arabic, English and Koran while paying close attention to the needs of the individual. Learning should be fun and engaging, not a sort of punishment.

When teaching Koran, I don't impose my views on the student. I only educate him/her on what the text says and leave its spiritual interpretation to his/her judgement.
