Personal Description:
I did my A levels in French, German, Psychology and English literature at a Grammar School.
I got a 2:1 in French and German studies at the University of Warwick, which also includes a lot of essay writing and analysis of books, These are skills needed for english too.

I have French family so I am almost fluent in French. I love tutoring and I'd be happy to help.

Qualifications: 13A/A* at GCSE. A* in French and German. A in English literature and Maths
AS level - A in French, German and Psychology. B in English literature

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored from year 7 to GCSE in maths, english, french and german to many students. I specialise in French and German and have tutored more in these two subjects but I also offer English and Maths tuition.

For example, I have tutored a boy in Maths, English and Verbal Reasoning for the 11+ for two hours a week for a year. He then passed the 11+ and got into a Grammar School.

I was a german prefect at my school, and part of this involves mentoring GCSE students who are behind in german

I have helped children abroad to learn English in a primary school, both in France and Germany for a month.

Tutoring Approach:

I am patient and I engage with the student so that the lesson is both fun and effective.

Personal Description:
I am a Graduate in Engineering with excellent academic background. Recently I have completed masters in Structural Engineering with distinction. I have sound communication skills and have ability to deliver my concepts at any level.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Rate analysis and Structural Engineering to B-tech students. Currently I am teaching Maths, Physics and Chemistry to the G.C.S.E Students.

Tutoring Approach:

Teaching is the mother of all professions and it is one of the most respectable profession. To have a complete conceptual knowledge about something and to have an ability to deliver that knowledge both are totally different things. Most people have outstanding knowledge but they are unable to deliver that knowledge effectively. So my approach to tutoring is to deliver my concepts effectively and to teach at all levels.

Personal Description:
I am a professional piano player with a degree in Music and Music Technology from Keele University. My work includes session playing, touring theatre shows, accompanying and teaching piano, keyboard or music theory lessons.

Teaching Experience:

I have previously worked as a piano/keyboard/music theory for Telford Music School (Jan 2010 - June 2011), teaching all ages and abilities, and I have spent the summers of 2011 and 2012 as the Theatre Assistant/Musical Director for Chateaugay Summer Camp in America. I currently offer private tutoring at pupils homes to fit in with my other professional work.

Tutoring Approach:

Every student is different and requires a different approach. I try hard to adapt for each pupil but my main concern is that they enjoy what they are playing/learning. I like to let people discover their own musical tastes and preferences while still exploring and understanding a whole range of music.

Personal Description:
I am married with a daughter at university and a son at college. I am interested in many different things, from sports to wildlife. I think I am friendly and fun, and because I have tried learning foreign languages myself, am sympathetic towards my students needs!

Teaching Experience:

I have actually taught TEFL for about 10 years (and have been in the TEFL business for much longer, publishing books for TEFL). I have worked in Japan, Egypt and Spain and also taught at the IH Executive School in Piccadilly, London. Since 2009 I have specialised in teaching 1:1, all types of students, from young learners to senior business people.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is to find out what the student wants and needs and then to try to give it to them in a logical and effective way. I try to make the lessons varied, interesting and relevant. The aim is always to help the student get closer to achieving their language goals.

Personal Description:
I am an élite tutor with a double first class MA (Cantab) from the University of Cambridge, specialising in teaching language to learners of all ages. This includes English, Drama, Spanish, Arabic, French and Linguistics.

At a glance:

- Five years' tuition experience.

- First Class degree from University of Cambridge, MA (Cantab).

- Winner of the Bailey Prize and the Dajani Prize for my dissertation and overall degree at Queens' College, Cambridge.

- Winner of the Lerverhulme Trust and D'Oyly Carte Scholarships at Guildhall School; finalist in the National Theatre's Michael Bryant Verse Speaking Award, and the BBC Carlton Hobbs Radio Award.

- Distinction in Advanced Extension Awards in both Spanish and French

Teaching Experience:

I teach English literature and linguistics to all levels, and English language skills both to native speakers and second language learners wishing to finesse their writing and speaking to a level of professional excellence.

I have had great success teaching Spanish, Arabic and French as foreign languages, including to students who had previously struggled with the subjects. I have a 100% success rate in preparing applicants for Oxford and Cambridge.

As a professional actor working on stage and screen, with an MA from the internationally-renowned Guildhall School of Music and Drama, I also enjoy teaching drama and offer mentoring to drama school applicants.

Aside from five years' varied tuition experience (with impeccable references), I have also taught workshops on drama, Shakespeare and improvised comedy in universities and high schools in Britain, France, Germany, Switzerland and the United States

Tutoring Approach:

Despite high demand for my services, I insist on operating a select client list. This enables me to devote the utmost time and care to what I am passionate about: bringing out the best in those I teach.

My method of working is tailored personally and specifically to each individual tutee, their way of learning, and their goals. I pride myself on the relationships I have with my students, who have ranged from adults learning new languages for personal reasons, to primary school children in need of general help with schoolwork. Only by being friendly and engaging but also challenging and determined can I help them fulfil their potential.

Personal Description:
I 've been teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) for the past 6 years, both as a Homestay Host and one-to-one lessons for individuals needing additional help in understanding the English that we speak I incorporate cultural awareness in my lessons and particularly enjoy helping with pronunciation and intonation. I believe how you say something is as important as what you say. You won't just be learning Grammar and the curriculum we follow will be set by your needs. I hold a B.Sc. in Education from Temple University, Phila, Pa USA and have been a UK resident for over 30 years. I also hold a Trinity College London (CertTESOL) diploma from Universal Language Training, Woking. Previously, I have worked for large multi-national companies (American Express, Owners Abroad ) and was an International Training Manager for Continental Airlines (now United Airlines) where I taught airline system management to classes of multi-national adults. I particularly enjoy one-to-one teaching whether in person or online(SKYPE), as the effort and energy involved produces real results in a relatively short time. I'm a 'people person' and enjoy sharing my knowledge of the English language and customs and making it fun to boot!

Teaching Experience:

Babel Languages & Cultural Consultants - language training services to Business clients in their office or home. All levels of both General and Business English.

Acorn English Homestay, Host tutoring in my own home. General and Business English, all levels. Currently self-employed with them.

Living Learning English (LLE), Host Tutoring in my own home. General and Business English, all levels. Currently self-employed with them.

InTuition Languages, Host Tutoring in my own home General and Business English, all levels. Currently self-employed with them.

Language Trainers/Listen & Learn, One-to-One Language training services to Business clients in their office or home All levels both General and Business English. Currently employed by them on a freelance basis.

EFLsoutheast - self-employed tutor teaching both General and Business English.

Embassy CES Language School, Brighton EFL Teacher for summer school programme for 3 seasons (2010-2013 inc) taught Pre-Int and Intermediate levels.

ISIS Education Ltd EFL Teacher - 2 week English/Mexican Olympics, Ardingly College, West Sussex.

Tutoring Approach:

One-to-One tutoring gives a real insight into both the English language that we speak and English culture. It is tailored specifically to the individual needs of the student rather than follow any particular textbook. We are free to concentrate on those areas where you may need the most help. Being able to spend time on pronunciation, stress and intonation are areas where one-to-one teaching really comes into its own as well as learning about the English that is actually spoken. Learning/perfecting a new language does not need to be a painful process. A professional, friendly approach in comfortable surroundings is what one-to-one teaching is all about!

Personal Description:
Hello and thank you for visiting my profile!
I have lived in London for the past 10 years. I previously lived and studied in Milan, Italy where I obtained my university degree. For a short while I also lived in Lausanne, Switzerland, where I did some of my studies. I have tutored students in both Milan and London, face-to-face as well as online, and have helped them improve in the subject matters they struggled with.
I get on well with people of all ages and backgrounds. I take the time to find the right studying approach that works for each tutee to ensure they pick up the material as effectively as possible. My goal in tutoring is to help tutees understand and learn the material in the easiest way so they can improve their knowledge without feeling it as a burden.

Teaching Experience:

I have previously taught English as a foreign language, Italian and French to children aged 9-13, teenagers and adults. My tutees markedly improve their knowledge and manage to fill the gaps and prepare for exams or achieve the desired grade. In my experience it takes tutees 1-2 months to notice a difference and 3-6 months to feel more confident with the language, though of course this depends on commitment levels and the difficulty experienced by the person.

Tutoring Approach:

The most important thing for me is to find out where specifically the tutee has difficulties or gaps with the subject. I also take into consideration how a student normally studies to work out what approach works best for them.
I am a strong believer in using a calm approach in tutoring as it is most effective to help set in the knowledge and achieve best results.

Personal Description:
I am a current Materials Science DPhil (PhD) student at the University of Oxford. I recently graduated from the University of Cambridge, with degrees of Master of Natural Sciences and Bachelor of Arts (honoured, First Class). I did Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Materials Science. In my A-Levels, I obtained A* in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. I have DBS check available if requested.

Teaching Experience:

Since September 2014, I have been tutoring students (from primary school to GCSE, A-Levels and university level) in one-to-one sessions for one year, in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. I helped my students by explaining new concepts, working through examples and past papers. I was also a member of the Study Aid Society at Cambridge, where we shared academic information and learning experiences with each other and students in junior years on a regular basis. During my A-Level years, I also had two years' experience of tutoring junior students.

Tutoring Approach:

I am good at helping tutees solve problems, e.g. worked examples, past paper questions, and I am happy to adjust as needed. I also help to revise and polish Personal Statements for college application as an additional service, for which I am also a member of a qualified education agency.

Personal Description:
I am a 32 year old native German, moved to Northumberland in 2012 to live here with my family and our little dachshund. After my A-Level (including German and English) I have made an apprenticeship as a Travel Agent, as travelling is one of my passions. The last 4 years before moving here I have been working as a Sales and Marketing Manager in the music industry, as music is another passion of mine. So when I moved here, I started giving guitar lessons and German lessons and I really enjoy both. I love to teach my language to people and have experience in teaching both children and adults.

Teaching Experience:

I am currently teaching private students one-to-one, beginning from 6 years up to 60 years old. Some of them are beginners, others prepare for their GCSE or A-Level. I have been assisting in schools from nursery to A-Level and know the curriculum.

Tutoring Approach:

My lessons are tailored to your needs and full of fun. I am very patient and encouraging as I know how hard the German language can appear. Everybody learns in a different way and I am very flexible to adjust to yours to support your progress and make you a confident German speaker. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or if you are already learning German, I want to help you improving your skills easily.

Personal Description:
I'm Charlotte and I'm 18! I've just completed my A Levels in Media Studies, English Language, and Theatre Studies. I'm very passionate about Media and my predicted grade is an A. Hopefully this September I will be moving onto University to study Film Studies with Film Production. I'm a keen helper and I've always been willing to support others in my class for Media, as my course was based entirely on a blog and I tended to finish ahead of time it meant I could support those who were struggling. While obviously I don't know everything I am pretty confident on how the A Level works and am super willing to support. I'd prefer to tutor over Skype or something as I still live at home and will also be moving away from home soon. Additionally tutoring over Skype means I can share work over the Internet which is beneficial to the course.

Teaching Experience:

Assisting in the classroom for Year 10-12 Media Studies students whilst in Year 13.
Supporting my local Primary School in homework

Tutoring Approach:

I'm the same age as many doing the course so I have very recent first hand experience of what to expect from it and how it is marked which is valuable for success. Being targeted Grade A means I know how to work to the amount of detail an examiner would expect from my work while keeping in touch with my own creativity.
