Personal Description:
I have completed PhD in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Manchester. I offer assistance to degree students in assignments and dissertations. I also offer home tuitions for GCSE and A level students. Currently I am teaching at the University of Manchester to engineering students.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught as Lecturer at under-grad level in the department of mechanical engineering, UET Lahore for almost three years. In January 2007, I joined the department, as Lab Engineer and then promoted to the position of Lecturer after completing Master's degree in 2009. The university and the department claim top position in national ranking and also enjoy the honour of being the biggest and oldest ones in the country. My career of about two years here was full of struggle and effort for excellence in teaching and research.
In addition to that I have have given tuitions as Home Tutor to GCSE and O/A level individuals and small groups.

Tutoring Approach:

I always have the highest expectations of pupils and always have had, even when it was fashionable for learning to be more "child centred"; this is an approach I have found to pay rich dividends in terms of a pupil's academic and personal development. I have always managed to maintain friendly and relaxed environment tailored exactly to what the students requires. Above all I can offer general education and career advice when it matters the most and have observed that my students usually make fast progress towards their goals and good outputs.

Personal Description:
I am an overseas teacher with BA degree in English and 7 years of teaching experience. Currently working in a primary school supporting children in their literacy and numeracy as well as teach English as a second language. I give help with homework and extra support in SATs exams. I am fluent in English and Turkish.I have years of experience in teaching English as a second language , maths and English as well. Teaching is my passion and to me it is the most rewarding job.

Teaching Experience:

Synthetic phonics trained and can deliver it using sounds-write programme.
Supervise and provide particular support for pupils including those with special education needs.
Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes.
Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to the individual needs.
Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in their learning activities.
Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self esteem and independence.
Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement.

Tutoring Approach:

Learning in a school environment help improve children's social , physical and emotional skills and they have role models around them to improve their learning in any area that they are expected. However teaching might be very challenging when behaviour issues cause distraction and eat up the learning time. Therefore I think private tuition is the best way of using a child's learning time most productively possibly do a day's learning at school in 1 or 2 hours of tuition.I generally teach school-going students. Therefore, I can generate good learning plans and activities in the areas they need to improve.

Personal Description:
I first became interested in teaching through working as a private tutor with GCSE students, something I am doing since I finished my graduation, training to become a leader in the process. This made me realise I enjoyed working with the people in their learning process, and college experience confirmed tutoring/teaching as a career choice. My subsequent one year PGCE has served further to fire my enthusiasm and prepared me effectively to take responsibility for learners.

I have completed PGCE , a Masters and a BSc in Economics, level 5 Mathematics in Mechanics, numeracy level 1 & 2, Diploma in Computer Science & Application and I am a Certified Internet Webmaster Associate.

Teaching Experience:

I am teaching for last 5 years. In addition, I worked as a Teaching Assistant over two years.I have been privately tutoring primary and secondary maths, A level maths and Economics on one-to-one basis since 2003. My academic education and teaching practices have given me a good understanding of the curriculum and of what makes effective teaching.

Tutoring Approach:

I make a conscious effort to ensure I am not just catering for visual learners like myself, but try to see lessons through other learners' eyes. For example, to introduce pictograms to numeracy entry level class, I got the learners to create 'human pictograms' arranged by name length, pets, eye colour, etc. and then transferred that information as pictograms to the board. Kinaesthetic learners were thereby catered for in the physical movement and manipulation, visual learners in the pictograms created on the board and audio learners as we discussed and interpreted the graphs.

I have in particular come to understand the value of sharing learning objectives and success criteria with students. Knowing exactly what is expected and how they can achieve allow learners to focus more clearly on tasks.

I feel it is important to make learning interesting and creative, and one way to achieve this is using real life example; this allows learners to explore and understand situations and express feelings, thoughts and emotions. An example of how I have successfully used real life situation was with a GCSE class, working out the area of the classroom to decide the correct amount of carpet needed for the classroom. I gave the students measuring tape to measure the length and width of the classroom. They were incredibly enthusiastic and threw themselves into the task. They found this a fun, enjoyable and worthwhile learning experience, which enabled them to better understand the situation and empathise with those concerned.

Personal Description:
My name is Jae, an international student at University of Surrey studying Aerospace Engineering. I have also studied at Australian National University for two years. My major at Australian National University was Manufacturing and Management Engineering. Although I am an international student, I have finished my junior and senior secondary education in English spoken country, thus I have good background of using English.

Teaching Experience:

I have no official teaching experiences in the UK. However, I am always willing to help my colleagues if they have any questions or problems regarding their subject as long as it is engineering related materials. On the other hand I was a volunteering Maths, Physics and English tutor in Korea for a year in total.

Tutoring Approach:

It is essential to understand the basic and fundamental concept in every academic subject and practice it. Thus, my approach for tutoring is to express the fundamental base as easy as possible then trying many examples to make a new understanding solid for later application.

Personal Description:
Hi! I'm an Oxford graduate with a 2:1 in English Language and Literature. I graduated in July, and since then I have been looking for interesting ways to spend my time whilst also raising some money for further study. Tutoring appealed to me at once as a rewarding way to put the skills that I learnt during my degree to good use. Reading English at Oxford has honed my critical thinking, analytical abilities and study skills. Last year I also co-wrote a novel which has just been published in the UK, which really deepened my understanding of how to write effectively. I'd love to tutor others and help them to develop these skills too! In my spare time, I love to read, write fiction, and I also work as a sub-editor at an online short story magazine. My main address is in EN4, but I am also happy to tutor in Oxford.

Teaching Experience:

In October this year I successfully completed an assessment for the selective tutoring agency Blue Tutors. During the assessment I had to demonstrate my tutoring ability to a trained assessor, who described my communication skills as 'excellent'.
In my final term at Oxford, I volunteered with Schools Plus, a program which runs after school tuition sessions for struggling students in areas of economic disadvantage. I spent half a term working with GCSE English students, tutoring them on an individual basis in the run up to their January modules. As part of the selection process for the program, I also attended tutoring training.
When I was in the 6th form (in 2009), I also volunteered as a classroom assistant in my school. I was working with students who were having difficulty with essay-based subjects like History and English. I worked with two students in their History classes, helping them to understand the work they were set in class and working through it with them. I also had to use my knowledge of French to help one student who had not yet learnt to speak fluent English, translating the teacher's instructions for her and helping her with words she did not understand. Also between 2009-10, I helped to run two after-school classes for Key Stage 2 pupils, one in Literacy and Art and another in Drama. This involved planning and delivering lessons to classes of about 5-10 children, and keeping them engaged with the topics they were learning through activities designed to both teach and entertain.

Tutoring Approach:

My experience of tutoring in the past has shown me the importance of patience and respect in teaching. Especially in essay-based subjects, it is crucial that a teacher allows their pupils space to develop their own ideas, and respects their independent thought. Learning by rote has only limited usefulness: the best way to excel at a subject is to understand it, so I always explain concepts as fully as possible and move at the tutee's pace, making sure that they have properly grasped each concept or issue before moving on to the next. My Schools Plus training emphasised the idea that the goal of tutoring is to help a student to help themselves, enabling them to tackle problems rather than solving things for them. I think that this is fantastic advice, and it is a rule which I always try to bear in mind when tutoring.

Personal Description:
I'm 21 years old, currently a university student studying Business with Human Resources. I am in my final year of study looking to graduate in 2015. I have keen interest in learning different subjects for personal satisfaction. A confident and very friendly individual who loves to share knowledge through fun ways of learning! Teaching children and young adults is my passion, I would love the opportunity to help as many children as I can to reach their full potential and enable them to succeed in anything they do.

Teaching Experience:

As I am currently a university student , I don't have years and years of experience. However I have been tutoring GCSE Maths students from two families since the last 3 years. All students I have taught have got an A* or an A at GCSE. I am currently teaching A Level maths and art to one student. I am grafting as a tutor and learning how to adapt a different approach to teaching for students who have slow-fast pace learning potential.

Tutoring Approach:

Approach to learning is very simple. I build a rapport with the student by first discussing aims and goals for the terms and year. Through fun and interactive ways of teaching, the student engages in the subject immediately, and through regular homework, practice also follows. Teaching becomes fun for myself and the tutee, so as well as passive learning styles, I also introduce interactive exercises to draw attention to the problem in order to find a solution.

Personal Description:
I am an A level biology examiner as well as being a fully qualified science teacher with over ten years of experience.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught science to GCSE level and A level biology for over ten years in secondary schools. Since relocating to Stroud, I have tutored students in A level biology for the past four years. I am also an examiner for OCR A level biology. The experience of marking A level papers has enabled me to help my tutees effectively prepare for exams.

Tutoring Approach:

The style of tutoring needed by individual students will vary. It may start with ensuring understanding of the key concepts in biology at an appropriate level. The jump to A level from GCSE is quite considerable and even the brightest students can struggle initially. Another essential skill needed is the ability to pull together biological content taught in different parts of the syllabus. As exam time approaches, a student has to apply their knowledge and understanding to real exam questions. Practice of exam technique is often a large part of a tutorial session in the run up to A level exams. I am able to give feedback on individual questions which enables a student to improve and hone their answers.
