Personal Description:
An enthusiastic and out going Latin American Spanish teacher from Argentina with a passion for helping others improve their language skills! - Especially Spanish

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching Spanish as a foreign language in Argentina and UK for a couple of years.
_________________________________
In addition to languages I also teach drama and free expression for beginners and would be actors. A great technique to learn if you want to build personal confidence in every aspect of life - from delivering business presentations to building personal friendships.

Tutoring Approach:

I design the classes depending on the student needs. Normally my classes include:
________________________________
Regular classes with a careful mix of 25% listening, 25% oral, 25% reading and 25% writing skills all of which can be adjusted to meet the specific needs of the student. The classes use a range of techniques and games and inevitably have special homework assignments!

Conversation classes: In these the student and I develop special themes (for college, work or just for fun!) and use those "themes" to help build grammar and vocabulary. The conversation classes are dynamic, full of games, and involve a little bit of acting - what better way to out your language skills into practice!

Special classes: In these we handle a wide range of "real life" activities, from watching a movie, going to the supermarket, visiting a park and learning how to tango!

The lessons can range from an hour to a whole day - so the classes can fit around your social, school and business life. So now there is no excuse in not getting going!

Personal Description:
Iain was born in 1986 in Dundee, Scotland into a large musical family, so unsurprisingly making music was all that he wanted to do from an early age. He first began to learn the trumpet in school aged seven, before joining his local brass band Dundee Instrumental on cornet at the age of ten. By the age of twelve, Iain had been promoted to principal cornet, a position he later went on to hold with several of Scotland's top bands, also including the National Youth Brass Band of Scotland. Many solo competitions were won along the way - including the junior section at the British Open Solo Championships at age eleven. Having gained two Trinity College diplomas before the age of eighteen, Iain took the advice of teacher David James and moved south to study music at the University of Salford, where his playing really began to blossom. Since then Iain has held positions as principal cornet with many of the UK's leading brass bands including his current seat with the world renowned Leyland Band. He has enjoyed many successful contest and concert performances, and is fast establishing a reputation as one of the finest cornet soloists of his generation, performing, adjudicating and giving master-classes as far afield as the USA, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Japan. In 2009 Iain was the recipient of a prestigious Dewar Arts award, awarded for performance in trumpet. This award allowed him to complete his postgraduate studies at Salford, graduating with an MA in Music (performance) in 2010. Iain is now a cornet tutor at the University of Salford where he is also undertaking researchinto focal dystonia in musicians, working towards a PhD. Iain recorded and released his first solo CD entitled "Vanguard" in August 2012, a release which has been met with great critical acclaim and has fast proven popular.

Iain is also an experienced guitarist and teacher of electric and acoustic guitar as well as the bass guitar.

Teaching Experience:

Salford University, Sefton Music Service, Love Music Trust, numerous private students, masterclasses and private teaching all over the UK as well as in the Netherlands, Denmark, USA, Japan, to name but a few.

Tutoring Approach:

Specialise in advanced students, performance, performance psychology, embochure related problems, and treatment of focal dystonia as well as other performance related problems.

Personal Description:
My name is Simon and I am a graduate from the University of Leeds with a strong 1st class degree in Japanese, Russian and Ukrainian languages. I have completed my MA in Japanese cultural studies and now I have recently finished a PhD in Japanese focussing on the international reception of modern Japanese popular culture.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught all three languages, Japanese, Russian and Ukrainian to all levels to various age groups in preparation for exams and or general study for the students own pleasure. I am able to advise on proper essay style for assignments for all levels ranging from primary to university education.

Whilst studying abroad in Japan and Russia as part of my formal studies I taught English as a foreign language in Konan University situated in Kobe, Japan and in Moscow state university in Moscow, thus I am more than prepared and understand the requirements of language learning both from a native speaker level and as a student.

Having lived in both Japan and Russia I am also very aware of, and competent with, colloquial Japanese and Russian language and am prepared to teach both formal language and once a grasp of the language has been achieved I can move onto more colloquial language skills to speak like a true native speaker

Tutoring Approach:

I tutor in a relaxed environment tailored to each individual student's needs and wishes.I will then help the tutee create a work plan, and work through all areas that need attention.

I feel it is important to target the areas in which a student needs and or wishes to improve in so as to boost confidence. Regarding language study, I firmly believe that self confidence is one of the most important aspects to understand so that steps towards fluency can be achieved.

I am friendly, patient and understanding, and appreciate that everyone works at a different pace.

Personal Description:
I am a first year Physicist at Imperial College London. My clientele include students studying KS3, GCSE and A Level.

Having recently finished secondary school, I have an extensive knowledge of the education system and what is expected of students with regards to content and examination technique etc.

I feel I can relate to young students as I am not much older and have and still am going through the stresses and strains of exams! I understand how daunting Maths can be, as it certainly was for me when I was younger. However, one-to-one tuition may just be the catalyst that helps students 'click', and suddenly they understand this topic or can do this question.

I am undoubtedly competent in Maths, as shown by my results, and hope to show my students that they can improve their grades.

With the run up to those all-important exams, I can help students gain those crucial marks. I believe that to excel in Maths it is imperative that students practice, something which I can assist in.

Teaching Experience:

Have tutored students from a number of year groups and a range of exam boards including Edexcel and AQA.

Tutoring Approach:

I am open to the student's preferred style of learning and revision. I welcome specific queries and offer most help with exam questions. I can also explain whole topics if it was not picked up by the student at school or need further assistance.
Early on, lesson content will be largely dictated by the student until I uncover particular areas of weakness. Nearer to the exam period, emphasis will be on exam technique and working through past papers.

Personal Description:
Teaching is part of my life, which I really enjoy!

My teaching career started in 1985 in São Paulo city, and after some years I received a new challenge in a beautiful coastal location. Two schools invited me to teach and I accepted.

Teaching Experience:

Then I had opportunity to improve my career, teaching different subjects like ICT, Statistic, Accounts and Portuguese. Also I helped other teachers to develop ways to improve their classes using modern technology, bringing a new face to the lessons.

A further challenge arrived in my life in 2011 and made me move once again and now I am living in the UK, and I wish to continue my teaching to help you to learn Brazilian or European Portuguese.

No matter what your goals are, travel, business, educational proposal or simply to learn a language, we can work together to achieve them. I have my own material for all levels, ages and needs.

Tutoring Approach:

In a very dynamic class, we talk about music, art, nature, hints & tips that I believe help to build your confident. In a balanced mix of conversation, grammar, exercise, video and books, you will achieve your target in Portuguese Language.

Personal Description:
Hi,
My name is Valentinos. I am a native Greek speaker and professional teacher of the Greek language. I am passionate about teaching and the use of the new technologies in education.
I studied at the University of Athens Classical Philology (this include Modern and Ancient Greek language) and teaching approaches and theories to the subject. I graduated in 2011 and I came to Liverpool for my masters at the University of Liverpool. I studied Ancient History and at the same time, I started an online course from the center of Hellenic studies in Athens which focuses on the teaching of Greek as a foreign language.

Teaching Experience:

I am working as a teacher of the Greek language at the Greek school of Liverpool and as a private tutor. At the Greek school I teach Greek to ten years old students. As a private tutor, I have students from different background and ages. I teach children of Greek immigrants, people who love Greece and are interested in learning Greek for their holidays in the country, people who wish to retired in Greece and want to learn the language before they go. I have, also, adults students who have a family connection with Greece (their father or grandfather is Greek) and want to learn the language of their relatives back home.

Tutoring Approach:

Having students from so different backgrounds and with so different learning purposes and available time and learning pace, my teaching approach cannot be only one. I, always, arrange a pre-lesson meeting (either online or face to face) with interested people in order to obtain information regarding their level, the time they want to invest in their learning, their interests and their favourite way of learning things. Then, I suggest the appropriate learning materials. They are usually a blend of textbooks and my own materials.
I always try to make the lesson fun and productive. I, also, believe in the power of technology and the positive impact that it can have in the learning process. I use a number of online educational tools to help the learning of my students.
So, if you are interested in learning modern Greek just get in touch with me. Try it and you will not be disappointed. I can tutor you in my house or I can travel to yours. I, also, tutor online using Skype.
I hope to hear from you soon!

Personal Description:
I am a 24 year old female teacher (and mother), specially trained in Secondary Mathematics and moved from Derbsyhire to Wiltshire in April 2017 to continue my teaching career. I am confident and outgoing, and have offered private tuition outside of the classroom successfully over three years - with all tutees achieving their desired outcomes in KS3 or at GCSE level.

Teaching Experience:

I have three years of working with primary children in both Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire schools, as well as teaching in two secondary schools in North Yorkshire in 2015. I have been teaching Mathematics in a Derbyshire secondary school since June 2015 across all three secondary key stages. I am more than happy to tutor children ranging from KS2 to KS5 including college students studying A-Level Core Maths or Functional Skills. My youngest tutee to date has been 7 years old and my eldest being 19 years old.

Fully CRB checked.
Strong mathematics background.
Happy to travel up to 5 miles approximately - prefer not to tutor online.

Tutoring Approach:

● Encourage challenges and enjoy teaching maths through interactive sessions with a variety of resources.

● Explain topics to ensure pupils fully understand the concepts before tackling book work questions, and even create my own worksheets and examples to bridge any gaps.

● Understand the curriculum of both primary and secondary mathematics very well and take a calm, relaxed approach to teaching.

Personal Description:
I come from China and I am currently a Phd student, from Physics Department in the University of Cambridge. Before coming to Cambridge, I did my master degree about Sustainable Energy Systems in the University of Edinburgh. My undergraduate study is about Telecommunications Engineering and I receive first class degree from the University of Liverpool.

Teaching Experience:

I am currently doing demonstration and supervision about physics for year 1 and year 2 students, who are studying in the University of Cambridge. During my undergraduate study, I used to teach and help high school students in the subjects of maths and physics for the preparation of entrance exams to university. I also have the experience of being a language partner with an American guy for in Chinese for two years.

Tutoring Approach:

I always like to be a friend with my students. My teaching style is encouraging my students to try to solve the problems dependently under my direction. A detailed study plan for each student according to his characteristics will be made. Besides the textbooks, I also prepare the teaching material which is suitable for the student at different stages. Before each tutorial, a small exam will be given to test the student's mastering of the knowledge. Detailed feedback about the student's performance will be reported to parents in time. Close attention about my student will be given to adjust the study plans accordingly.

Personal Description:
I am a PhD in Chemistry and currently working in a secondary school. I have also been tutoring and would like to continue doing so as I find it to be a very rewarding job. I have an extensive experience as I have been in this field for more than 20 years.

As a parent, I know that my children benefited from being tutored prior to their GCSEs and A levels. Due to this reason, I would like to provide others with the same opportunity to boost their confidence so that they can excel in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths. I am a calm, collected and patient individual who enjoys supporting and encouraging students to take an interest in Science due to its fast-growing field with a vast array of job prospects.

Teaching Experience:

Through working at a secondary school in Surrey since 2007, I have developed key skills to support the learning of pupils within a structured teaching situation, small group withdrawal or individually as required. Working with individual pupils allows me to maintain their personal confidence, promote positive behaviour and encourage them to be independent individuals.

Furthermore, I have also worked as Lecturer of Chemistry from which I gained experience in preparing suitable resources for all topics and delivering lectures to a class environment. I always monitored the progress of my students and ensured they received sufficient guidance.

Tutoring Approach:

Along with working during the day , I provide tuitions in the evenings and weekends in Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Maths. As I am a flexible individual, I ensure that my tuitions are tailored to meet each tutee's needs.
Usually, I begin with ensuring that they have a strong foundation of the topic before studying it in greater detail. A strong foundation allows the tutee to apply their knowledge more effectively to exam style questions.
If the tutee would like to consolidate a particular topic, I would prepare various questions either from past papers or text-books to ensure that their understanding is clear. Also, I believe that memorising key definitions and facts can be very useful in an exam. Therefore, I use various memory games, flash cards and mini-tests to ensure that the tutee can recall these key definitions in a time-pressured exam environment. Through being a published research chemist, I have been able to understand various topics in detail such as, 'photo catalysed transformation of some toxic substances on semi-conducting chalcogenides'. I have also written a thesis on this topic and therefore, I believe, that my knowledge will allow me to tutor for A-Level Chemistry very effectively.
Due to my ample experience of working in different fields, I have gained good communication and problem solving skills. I believe in having a high standard in work and hope that it will reflect in my tutee's progress.
