Personal Description:
I have Special Needs University qualifications and counseling skills, which enables me to tutor students that may encounter emotional difficulties in their learning. I believe that motivation is the key factor to tutoring, as it needs to be addressed continuously in the process of learning.

Teaching Experience:

I have been a private tutor for the past 14 years preparing students for +11, +13 exams in English and Maths. I also teach Maths up to A level.

I am a certified therapist in PhonoGraphix method for addressing spelling and reading difficulties both for children and adults.

I could also help with learning computers (ECDL syllabus including usage of Word, PowerPoint, Internet, Excel).

Tutoring Approach:

I have Special Needs University qualifications and counselling skills, which enables me to tutor students that may encounter emotional difficulties in their learning. I believe that motivation is the key factor to tutoring, as it needs to be addressed continuously in the process of learning.

As a tutor, I encourage my students to reflect upon their mistakes and to understand how to tackle the next step of their learning, without having a negative response.

I usually have the first lesson together with the parents so that the student feels comfortable and parents can observe my teaching; I present a folder containing the CRB form, qualifications, QTS certificate and letters of recommendations from parents. I teach from home in a calm and stimulating environment.
The first lesson is only paid if the parent decides to continue tuition.

Personal Description:
I currently run an independent IT & Business consultancy with offices in London, Hertfordshire, and Brighton. We employ 26 members of staff and as the head of the organisation, I have been privileged enough to work with organisations of every shape and size from one man bands right up to multi-national corporations.

Prior to doing this, I spent a considerable amount of my spare time teaching visually impaired students how to use their computers, and empowering disadvantaged teenager and young adults to start up and run their own businesses.

I thrive on giving back to the community and helping others to help themselves. I have recently been awarded professional membership to the Chartered Institute to IT, and regular give talks on topics ranging from website development to workforce management.

Teaching Experience:

As a tutor I have been able to teach all sectors of society from the most deprived to the most comfortable people across the UK. This has allowed me to gain a level of experience unmatched in the business sector. I have personally delivered tuition and given talks for over 1,300 hours.

With the extensive experience I have been able to gain in the education sector, as well as the wealth of experience and knowledge I can now share with you as my student.

I specialise in providing support to existing businesses or newly formed businesses. In addition to this, I also provide help and guidance to students who are studying for their degree or masters to help improve their education and chances of getting a job at the end of the process.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a very simple yet ultimately flexible approach to working with senior level members of staff, I work in partnership with you to achieve your goal instead of "tutoring" you.

We start off at our first "meeting" by writing a list of your goals and what you would like to achieve using the time I will be spending with you. I encourage you to be realistic, but also to think outside of the box.

After this I'll ask you to think about how you'd like to achieve those goals, and how much time you can put into achieving them. Quite simply put, the more time you can spend working on your goals, the better the outcome will be.

This forms the basis of the action plan that I will normally then draw up. We use this action plan to tick off each point as it is achieved.

NDA's are always available on request and in most cases clients take this up as it allows you to work safe in the knowledge that no one else will know you have sought my services.

Personal Description:
My name is Daniele and I am originally from Rome. I have more than 15 years experience as Italian language coach/teacher in the world of opera: I hold a permanent teaching post at the Royal College of Music and coach regularly at the Royal Opera House. I have also worked, amongst other institutions, at Paris Opera, Opéra de Lille, Opera North, Scottish Opera, Welsh National Opera, and the Royal Academy of Music.

Teaching Experience:

I am an experienced Italian language teacher, and teach private one to one lessons either in Hackney, where I am based, or at the Royal College of Music in South Kensington.
I teach students of all ages, levels and aspirations.

Tutoring Approach:

I tailor the lessons to meet the student's needs, ability and aspirations.
When possible I try to follow a textbook, as I think this gives a good structure to our courses. The student would be expected to do some homework between lessons, as this is hugely beneficial to learning.
The aim is to enable the student to 1) read and understand Italian, 2) speak and express oneself, 3) write and 4) understand when listening.
The atmosphere is friendly and informal.

Personal Description:
I've been living in England for over 10 years, all of them in a tranquil town of Bradford on Avon. I'm a keen reader and chair a reading group. I have two extremely bright and boisterous boys, both of them completely bilingual, talking, reading and writing in both languages from an early age. I find that teaching comes very natural to me however I use all the latest techniques recommended by teaching authorities.

Teaching Experience:

I am currently teaching Russian Language and Literature to a small number of students for whom it is a leisure course (It can be adapted to Business Russian, if necessary)
I also teach Russian in Saturday Russian School "Teremok" .
I am working towards teaching qualification (Cert Ed leading to Diploma in Education)

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in using different ways of teaching and learning approaches (VAK). I recognize the necessity of inclusion, equality and diversity, to approach the learners differently according to their needs. During my PTLLS course I learnt how to plan my lessons using scheme of work and lesson plan. Writing lesson plan was particularly useful as it helped me to break it down into parts in order to monitor progress and plan the lesson better time-wise I also like to use different resources, including e-learning as well as textbooks, spreadsheets and printouts. I make sure that my lessons are interesting and relevant.
As a part of a course, I teach Russian Grammar and we do plenty of dialogues, free writing, read Russian literature and poetry, listen and watch Russian news.

Personal Description:
I am 26 years of age and have recently graduated with an MA in Sport and Development with a Merit. I am also working towards a spot on the GB Paratriathlon team. Gained decent grades in PE at all levels in my academia. I am a wheelchair user so if traveling to a tutee, would require an accessible entrance into the venue of choice

Teaching Experience:

I currently teach BTEC level 3 Applied Psychology, HND and Degree sports psychology, skill acquisition, coaching and sports development and can adapt these to GCSE level too. My ALevels were in general psychology and PE. I am also a Learning Support Assistant in a position to support those struggling with study skills and revision. Furthermore having a disability myself makes me best placed to understand the needs of those considered to have a SEN

Tutoring Approach:

I take and active-experimental learning approach to tutoring whereby students will get the opportunity to discover and analyse the areas of study critically. It is important also to recognise individual learning styles alongside using materials students have been directed too via the institution they attend

Personal Description:
I graduated two years ago from the Courtauld Institute of Art, from where I gained a degree in Art History. Since then I have continued my research in architectural, art and historic subjects through working as a researcher at an international architecture and design consultancy firm. After a very solid foundation in art and architectural history, I now have an insight into the practical applications of such research and its importance in the commercial world.

Areas of particular interest to me include: Manuscripts, Middle-eastern art and architecture, gender studies, institutional architecture, the Victorian Period, 20th century fashion, art theory and modern architecture.

I also have A-Levels in Classical Civilisation, Biology and Chemistry, so I can offer assistance with those subjects up until GCSE level.

Teaching Experience:

I am only beginning as a tutor and therefore have limited teaching experience but I do regularly discuss and impart information to others as part of my job. My role is to share my research findings in the most efficient way possible and I have always received positive feedback relating to my presentations and reports. My seminar contribution at university was also well received.

Tutoring Approach:

I would like to help students to understand the bigger picture, in order to understand the importance of the smaller details. I believe that endless memorising only has a short-term benefit and should be largely unnecessary if there is a real understanding of the context.

I also believe that the enthusiasm of the tutor inevitably infects the tutee, no matter what the learning material.

Personal Description:
I am currently working towards my first year of a maths degree at the University of Birmingham. I have always enjoyed maths and excelled at it so tutoring the subject seemed like the next logical step.

Teaching Experience:

I have helped people in my classes during school and also tutored some of the younger years at GCSE and A level maths.

Tutoring Approach:

This would depend on the level of work, I have multiple approaches to mathematical problems and I believe it is best to try and ascertain the method that works best for the particular student as quickly as possible. From there I would try to teach the methods which seem easier with numerous examples. Maths is a subject which is always has a right or wrong answer and practicing exam questions is the most useful tool of revision.

Personal Description:
I am a Spanish postgraduate student doing a MSc in Paleobiology at the University of Bristol, where I currently live. I mainly have anl academic background in Biology (BSc in Biology + MSci in Evolutionary Biology) and I am now expanding my studies in the field. Hopefully I will starting my PhD studies the next Autumn Term.

Teaching Experience:

I have more than 5 years of experience as a private tutor both for Spanish and English students of all ages (from 7 to 30). However, most of them of them were in their teens and first years of University. I have managed also in a satisfactory way tutoring with students with special learning needs.

Tutoring Approach:

I strongly believe in a relaxed and pleasant teaching environment as the process of learning is controlled in an essential proportion by motivation and emotional mood. Additionally, I am really keen in Science, and in particular actually passionate about Biology. Therefore, as I have also good communicative skills, I feel I can transmit this passion to my students.

Lately, I have become really keen on languages as I am basically living a daily cultural interchange in UK. As a native speaker of Spanish, I could teach the language in a thorough way and virtually managed any level the student may have.
