Personal Description:
I am very patient and tolerant but very effective in imparting right techniques in Maths. I encourage independent thinking and asking questions. I am currently teaching in a Sixth Form college and I have a good experience in teaching AS/A2 Maths, Accounting and Business Studies.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching to sixth form students for quite a long time now and have delivered excellent results. After completing my Master's in International Business, I have been working at Independent Sixth Form college in Birmingham since September 2010 teaching AS/A2 Maths, Accounting and Business Studies. Working in a sixth form college has given me immense confidence to deal with students.

Tutoring Approach:

I put a lot of emphasis on past papers and exam reports as its very important to read Examiner's Mind frame before attempting any paper. I believe that examiners understand the mind of a student through his/her written attempt, not how hard a student has worked or how impressive his subject knowledge is. In order to facilitate this, I have a vast resource of Past papers and Exam reports which prove quite conducive for my tutees.

Personal Description:
I am a professional, having graduated from the University of Manchester with an MSc in Quantitative Finance and a graduate of BSc Electrical Engineering. I secured straight A's in A-levels as well as my GCSEs. I have an open, friendly personality and I teach out of my passion for it.

Teaching Experience:

I have provided private tuition during both my post and undergraduate studies. I taught GCSE Physics and Chemistry and grade 6 to 8 Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology and English.

Tutoring Approach:

I am flexible to adapt my teaching style to the requirement of the student. Being a student myself, I easily relate to my students and know how to address most of their problems. I am willing to put in extra time in order to clarify concepts and do not hesitate if I myself face a problem that I am not able to solve. I teach out of a passion for it and do not view it as any other 'job'. While maintaining an amicable relation with my student, I do not compromise on discipline and wasting time.

Personal Description:
I am an energetic and experienced English teacher and Assistant Head who strongly believes in building relationships with students that support their learning. I love travelling, literature (both classic and contemporary) and sports (especially football, rugby and cricket). Whatever level your daughter or son is at, I will make sure they progress to the next stage, whether that is excellent GCSE results, A Level results or entry to University.

Teaching Experience:

I am currently Assistant Head Teacher at Stoke College, near Sudbury, and have been teaching English for ten years. I have long experience in teaching and tutoring for students in Years 7-13, usually teaching AQA English Language and Literature GCSEs and OCR A Level. I have tutored students sitting different exam boards with great success, too. I began my teaching career at The Ashcombe School in Dorking, Surrey, before spending two years at Tiffin Girls' School, then the top ranked state school in the country, as Head of English. I have taught many students through to Oxford and Cambridge University entrance. I have taught Media Studies at A Level and my degree is Joint Honours History with English, so am always on hand to help with History or similar work.

Tutoring Approach:

I can give your child the support they need to build their confidence so they feel more able to complete school tasks, homework, coursework and exam revision. At exam level, I build on school work, revising techniques and consolidating the skills and topics learned so that students can reach their full potential in external exams. At the highest level, I will guide your son or daughter through textual annotations and literary study.

For students in Years 7-9, I have found it is often just as helpful to be able to assist and tutors in your son or daughter's full range of subjects, especially those that rely on written work, such as History, Geography and RE.

I bring an innovative and personalised approach to tutoring so your child never needs to feel that tutoring sessions are an extension of school; instead they are a way to look at English in a positive light so tutees can enjoy learning.

Personal Description:
I am French but have lived in Britain for years (both my children, who are in their 20's, were born here). I have also lived and worked in Spain and am fluent in the language. I then taught adults in a language school (Inlingua) in Germany, Italy and London. I came back to this country and got a job in a private school where I was the teacher in charge of Spanish. After working in this school for 21 years, I have just retired but miss the excitement of teaching.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught languages all my life, first in a Welsh comprehensive school (for 8 years), then abroad. In Spain, I taught French and English in a primary school and I then taught adults French, Spanish and English as a foreign language for Inlingua. When I returned to Britain, I taught French and Spanish to GCSE and A level in a private school. I have just retired after 21 years there and I now help a private Open University student. I enjoy teaching and would like to do more tutoring.

Tutoring Approach:

As I have a wide experience of teaching languages, I am able to use different kinds of approach to language learning and can apply the best suited one for each student. I enjoy teaching linguistially minded student as well as those who find it a challenge to learn a foreign language. Through working for a long time in the Bristish educational system, I am aware of the requirements of different GCSE and A levels examination boards. From the student's point of view, I think that learning a foreign language should be fun but also challenging and rewarding.

Personal Description:
I graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Network Technology. I then began working for an IT company as a computer technician, based within a local university, which gave me exposure to all sorts of IT problems! I then went on to run a chain of computer repair, maintenance and upgrade shops and have been doing this ever since.

I use ALL versions of Microsoft Windows from XP to Windows 8.1 daily, along with Apple Mac's OS X. My customers are approximately between 16 to 80 years of age, and I enjoy passing my knowledge on, no matter how technical / non-technical you are! I just need extra money to pay for my wedding next year, and this is something I know I can do very easily, as it is an extension of my day-to-day job. Please get in touch for a chat with me on how to "Excel" in IT... get it? You will after you've got in touch!

Teaching Experience:

- Teaching new employees on computer repair best-practices and teaching analysts on how to use and configure new software at work.

- Teaching my customers on what went wrong and how to avoid it in the future!

- Providing private tuition on PC / Laptop usage, from basic operation such as web browsing, email and document creation and editing, all the way up to securing a computer from virus's and creating basic websites and setting up domains, and MANY other things in between.

Tutoring Approach:

I love to see a student perform a task after using the knowledge that I've passed in a "follow my lead" based learning. I explain how things work the way they do (if you want to know), and I explain the logic sequence of steps you must take in order to do something such as search for a new recipe or compose an email to a friend. Once the basic knowledge is there, I'll take you through how to use Google to answer 90% of life's questions!

I like to use analogies with my explanations on certain tasks, as people learn differently. However, normally I go through what it is I'm trying to teach at least once before going through it again with my student in a thorough manner.
