Personal Description:
Before coming into teaching, I worked in the Music Industry as a professional session singer. The work was varied and diverse. I sang with many named artistes and toured on an international level. I also have extensive experience in the recording studio. In 2005, I deceided to 'change direction' and studied Performance Arts, gaining a BA Hons Degree in the subject in 2008.
I studied Shakespeare, Stanislavski and many other drama practioners and methods.
I feel that because of my life experience, I bring a very friendly approach to my teaching. Also, being a 'mature student' myself has added to my understanding of needing alittle 'help' at times.
My approach is a mixture of theory and practical. I like to make sure that my student understands where he/she is approaching the given subject - be it an acting method or a scripted reading.

Teaching Experience:

After graduating with honours, I went on to gain a Post Grad teaching degree (PGCE). I have been teaching singing privately for the past eight years and started teaching drama and performing arts since 2006. Whilst doing my PGCE, I was employed as a part-time lecturer for performance arts at Salford University teaching 2nd year degree students.
I have taught at a private performing schools whose ages range from 6 to 18 years old and at private acting academy that is attached to ITV studios in Leeds.
Because of all my experience, I am able to cover three subjects to any level - drama, singing and Musical Theatre.

Since 2013, I have been tutoring at my home. Please note: I have cats and dogs so be aware of this if you have any allergies.

Tutoring Approach:

On our first meeting, I like to find out just where the student is at in their given subject; what their past experiences are and what their expectations are of having extra tuition. An understanding of their strengths and weaknesses is also important to find out at an early stage so that together, we can plan a way forward.
I am a friendly, patient and easy-going person with a very good sense of humour but I take my teaching very seriously and remain quite passionate about drama and performing arts on the whole.
I always like to make sure that the student leaves my class with full understanding of the work we have done and will ensure that any questions or concerns are addressed before the end of the lesson.

Personal Description:
Hello! My name is Ewa and I am passionate about learning and teaching languages. I was born and raised in Poland where I used to live until I discovered my interest for different cultures and languages. I have studied in France, travelled and worked in Poland, France, Italy and England and finally settled a few years ago in North Wales. Speaking languages has influenced my whole life! As a tutor, I teach my native Polish and also French, Spanish and Italian. I really enjoy working with people from different cultural backgrounds and showing them that languages, especially Polish, are not so difficult as it seems!

Since an early age I wanted to be a teacher, making my school and university choices in education and with my added passion for languages, today I am a professionally fulfilled person doing what I love the most - teaching languages!

I truly enjoy all aspects of teaching and I am convinced that my own passion for the languages can inspire and motivate my students to love learning languages as I do. With my strong knowledge of the subject, professional and personal attributes, I could certainly help you to meet your language needs.

Teaching Experience:

Reflecting on my work history, the experience I gained as a language teacher has had the most significant impact on my career development giving me the most professional satisfaction. University studies in education for a Master's degree in Modern Languages and multiple stays in France enabled me to acquire native level spoken French. Following my passion for languages, I became enthusiastic about the Spanish and Italian cultures and tongues. Thanks to languages courses and opportunity to polish my communication skills in commercial contact with native speakers, I developed a high fluency level.

I started my professional career teaching French in a Polish high school where my performance was highly praised not only for encouraging young people to learn languages and promoting plurilingualism but also for my learner-centred teaching approach.

On arrival in England, I achieved Qualified Teacher Status in recognition of my overseas qualifications. I had an opportunity to teach French to children in after school classes, tutoring in French and Spanish to GCSE students and helping adults to meet their languages goals in French, Spanish, Italian, and Polish.

Making the transition between different audiences allowed me to be more adaptable, experienced in tailoring my teaching to suit any level and today I feel very confident delivering lessons to a range of ages from children to adults.

In addition to tutoring, currently, I teach at the University of Chester to adults during evening classes and in various Educational and Cooperate environments.

Tutoring Approach:

As a language teacher, I am always deeply involved in planning and preparation which allows me to deliver lessons to the highest standards. I use a variety of teaching methods, effective materials, and resources, giving learners opportunities to develop and practice their skills. I pay attention to teaching within a cultural context and being very creative I enjoy sourcing materials, making the learning process challenging and yet enjoyable. I am a huge advocate of using modern day technologies in the teaching and learning the process.

In my teaching career, I taught languages to a different range of ages, however, my approach is to look at my learners individually, from children to adults and tailor my teaching to personal needs. Although being a teacher can be a demanding career, the joy of seeing my learners' progress in their linguistic achievements is a highly satisfying reward.

Being myself a keen language learner, I perfectly understand how challenging it can be, acquiring a new language. During our first taster session that I offer for free, I would assess your knowledge to identify your language level, learning style, motivation and according to your expectations I would propose a plan and methods we could use to achieve your language goals.

I am looking forward to helping you build your confidence in speaking languages!

Personal Description:
I am 28 years old and currently working as a Spanish teacher in a secondary school as well as working for the GCSE AQA and Edexcel exam boards. I learnt Spanish as my parents moved to Spain as a child and so I am bilingual. I am also offering Spanish tutoring up to A-Level standard. I have my own car and I have held a full clean drivers licence for 11 years, commuting is not an issue.

Teaching Experience:

I have a lot of experience in Spanish tutoring and I am very confident in teaching GCSE Spanish. I work for the AQA and Edexcel exam boards currently so I have a lot of knowledge around how to succeed in the exam. I am currently a head of year and I have previously worked as a head of department. This included moderating work from other schools; supporting them in marking accurately. I have been very successful with my own GCSE classes at my school, last year I achieved a pass rate (C or above) of 93% (national average is 72%.) To date, I have privately tutored 17 students, all of whom have achieved a B grade or higher, most students beginning on an E grade or lower. I am extremely successful in supporting students to exceed expectations in exams but in a way which is easy to understand. I understand and appreciate that Spanish isn`t easy for everyone and having learnt it as a teenager myself I am able to explain it in a way students understand better.

Tutoring Approach:

I offer a very fun approach to learning which is what I feel is the key to success in language learning. For those who are learning Spanish for fun/pleasure I offer topics which are vital to survive on holiday/living abroad rather than doing them for the sake of it. I am able to teach individuals or groups of people.

Personal Description:
I am a 28-year-old experienced tutor and medical student. Prior to coming to university, I worked in children's social care. I have vast experience in working with children and young adults - particularly reluctant learners!

I am also a mother and work part-time for a publishing company.

My main subjects are English Literature and Biology.
As a medical student, I have a broad knowledge of multiple areas of the curriculum. If you are interested in other subjects, please contact me and I will review the syllabus to see if I am able to support you.

Additionally, I am able to support students with the writing of essays and coursework. I can also assist with writing UCAS applications, CVs and job applications.

Teaching Experience:

I have been offering private tuition for over a decade.

Tutoring Approach:

All students are welcome to a free initial consultation. During this session I will spend time getting to know the student and understand their goals.

As a parent myself, I deeply value children's learning. I will not take on students if I do not feel able to considerably raise their attainment level. I meticulously prepare lesson plans and thoroughly enjoy supporting young learners to excel in their studies.

I provide reports at the end of every eight lessons, which clearly detail what has been achieved in tuition and what requires further focus.

Personal Description:
Covering letter and statement

I believe art has always been a universal language, between people from different cultures and people of same culture but with different backgrounds, interests and experiences.
To me, art has to give a message, a feedback to the society and creates a some kind of social awareness of changes that always happen in our world.
In my work, I like producing art pieces which will bring people together in a discussion or an argument. To make them stop and think about things in life they may never considered before, which they will only enjoy doing so through the fantasy of art

I have been a loyal student to BCU, where I obtained, both my Fine Art degree and my MA in Art and Education Practice. Planning for my PhD research study too. This post will help me through my research and will give me a good access to both teaching and research. I have been looking for this opportunity to teach alongside my PhD study.
I became a practicing artist and researcher in the subject of Britishness and modern values since 2003. Working from my studio as well as researching . I am interested in culture diversity and community. I am quite focused on research and combining my work with strong evidence. I also have been teaching Arabic and have strong knowledge of the Middle East culture and I can give support to students coming from the Middle East, including helping them to gain confidence and engage with other fellow students. I also have great experience with special needs, being a mother of an autistic boy.
I have been developing my research skills for 13 years. I am quite an independent researcher and always looking for new methods to reach the maximum point I get to with my research. I believe in creativity and in carrying out new methods that suite different projects. Supporting my art work with strong research give me great credibility.
Supporting others too is a great passion for me. I always been involved in teaching both Arabic and art. I like passing my experience and knowledge to students, directing them to new research methods and making them independent researchers themselves. Good results requires good supervision. I believe students fail when they were not giving the right support or did not have a supervisor who understands their potential and help them enough throughout their study.

Personal Description:
I received a First Class Honours B. Sc. degree in Computer Science from Cardiff University, UK, in 2016 and I am currently working towards the Ph.D. degree in the field of Cyber Security at the same University. My research revolves around the security and privacy of Internet of Things devices (IoT). I have experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, and Matlab, as well as with a variety of other technologies. As a current PhD student I also have experience in various research and study methodologies. Finally I am fluent in Greek (Mother Language as I am Greek), English, and Italian.

Teaching Experience:

For the past year, apart from being a private tutor teaching mainly GCSE Computing/ICT and Greek Language, I have also been a Teaching Assistant at Cardiff University. There I have been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students programming; Python and Java as well as Web Applications Technologies. Additionally, I have been supervising group projects for year 2.

Tutoring Approach:

I aim to provide a solid grounding in the subject while paying close attention to the needs of the student. Therefore, I will vary my tutoring style depending on the ability and needs of them. I aim to run my tuition in support of the progression of my students through their subject syllabus, but I am also willing to progress more slowly and focus on particularly weak areas if the student so desires. I will also offer pre-exam revision sessions for all exams including modular resits and conduct end of topic tests and mock exams should the student desire.

As I aim to tailor my tuition to the individual I expect students to maintain regular contact in regards to their subject progressions and their individual needs.
