Personal Description:
I have always been aware of the importance of cultivating languages and thanks to my Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interpreting and my subsequent work,I have excellent skills all round in Spanish, my mother tongue. Furthermore, I have gained a broad experience of making use of my linguistic skills in French.

Teaching Experience:

My stays abroad include The University of Sheffield as a Spanish Assistant, which I feel has contributed to the development of my educational abilities. I particularly worked in Spanish language classes, solving grammatical, phonetic or syntactic problems for final year students in the School of Modern Languages and Linguistics. Furthermore, my Spanish teaching qualification (CAP for Secondary Education) equips me with pedagogical and didactic skills, which I feel are transferable to the English educational context.
This summer I have successfully completed a 12 week intensive course 6 unit French Subject Knowledge Enhancement Course and I have achieved Europena Lavel B1.3, which is A Level Standard I taught French at University Level.

Tutoring Approach:

Supportive, well-organized, trying to make it interesting with a wide range of materials.

Personal Description:
I am passionate about teaching languages, mostly orientals, and also coaching martial arts and self defence. I coach the EWTO-WingTsun 梁挺詠春拳.

I have been always curious to learn the most popular foreign languages useful in Europe to understand what was said around me at all the times and to be able to communicate for business purposes with people when abroad; well... I can help you! Contact me!

Or perhaps you have chosen MFL at school and need a bit of a boost for your revision before the exams??

Do you want to strengthen your CV by showing your linguistic competence in a demanding market? I can help you with Mandarin or Japanese!

If on the contrary you need to learn how to protect your self with something really different; I have been teaching WingTsun and Escrima in Italy for 2 years and in Macclesfield (Cheshire-UK) for 1 year. I keep travelling south London, and to West/South Europe, to receive updated training and attend special seminars.

In the first 6 to 8 weeks of the beginners program you'll learn the basics for a proactive and "pre-emptive" self defence and to deal with the most "common" types of attacks. This is the Blitz-Defence program.

Afterward you start a more sophisticated training program where you learn to deal with an aggressor in a less violent way by using our unique tactile skills training method.

I can assure you, you will terminate every lesson by learning something new and useful! All I need is your concentration.

Teaching Experience:

Currently tutoring Italian (advanced level) and Japanese (basic level) in all the 4 skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking).

I have lectured comparative martial art's cultures at the University of Suwon, College of Physical Education (Republic of Korea).

Translating Keith R Kernspecht: "Kampflogik3" from German into Italian.

July 2013 Swinton (Manchester)
I have been tutoring in Mandarin to one of the school kids acting as the main character of the TV program "The 4 o'clock Club- CBBC". Program included conversational repetition of the program he studied at grammar school: Introducing your self, talk about daily activities, hobbies and preferences.

January 2012 - PRESENT: I have been teaching Italian language since January 2012 on 1-2-1 base and via skype when I am abroad.

February 2012 - April 2012: I taught Japanese language for absolute beginners via skype.

April 2010 - February 2012: I taught at The Mill Languages School, in Macclesfield town centre: Mandarin, Japanese, German. In particular I have taught German language to a tailored group to refresh their skills.

August 2015 - PRESENT. Tutoring Japanese language to beginner level via skype. My student is a primary school teacher who is planning to have a work experience in Japan. Focusing on oral linguistic skills.

Tutoring Approach:

I am based in Macclesfield and I teach in an informal and yet methodical way; I can teach colloquial and formal languages.

As for WingTsun 梁挺詠春拳 and Escrima (weaponry) I teach privately and/or classes or different venues.
Each 1-2-1 class has to be booked.

Personal Description:
My name is Gordon age 49 I am certified in Computer Applications and Networks (CAN). Self taught casual programmer of 20 years. I currently offer tutoring services online via Internet-using text E-Mail, Video E-Mail and **Contact Detail Removed**. I can tutor anyone at my local public library.

Teaching Experience:

My portfolio includes my own self published training materials on PC CD-ROM. recently completed a KIOSK program last year. I currently publish my own training materials on PC CD-ROM as part of my tutoring package. I can introduce, and tutor several software packages help you develop your own applications in a very short time. Student should be computer literate and have the background knowledge of the subject matter they are writing. For example, if you are writing a PC CD-ROM driving course are you a driving instructor/Training Provider?

Software packages I tutor can include:

Building executable files
HTML WYSIWYG
Web Browser Plug-Ins
Flip Book Documents
Introduction to computer Games
Creating CD Graphic Arts
I can work:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday nights online as a guide rates of pay are 10 per hour minimum. Rates of pay are may be discussed on an individual basis. Student will need a computer using Windows and Internet Access to get started.

Tutoring Approach:

As a self taught casual computer program developer learning at my own pace has become very important. Computer programming is a very deep and broad subject. Under my guidance students can work at their own pace and challenge themselves as little or as much as they want. The good news is that a student can learn to write a computer application in a very short time and without four years of college. Students are not graded and no testing is required. More productive levels can be reached if the student has a good idea for a computer application. This idea could come from the work place or a hobby they may have.

I use my own screen captured videos and hand-outs to help students achieve what they want. Everyone has their own learning style some of us learn best by reading, others like to be shown and the rest of us want hands-on training.

I am not the foremost expert on anything, if I don't know the answer to a students question I simply tell them and help them find the answer.

Knowing how to write your own applications is just another feather in a cap for private instructors, business owners, B&B's, human resources, government, and book publishers. These are referred to as 'Vertical Markets' in the software industry (search 'wikipedia vertical markets'). Private computer owners are welcome.

Personal Description:
I am a 27 year old female, with a degree in English Literature, Film and Theatre and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Professional Acting.

I have a strong theatrical background, not only in acting, but also directing and producing. I love to travel, favourite places being Sri-Lanka and Australia. I am a food enthusiast: I love trying new foods, as well as cooking for my friends and family.

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored several students through their GCSEs in English Language and Literature, always ensuring that I am up to date with changes to the curriculum and marking strategies. I am used to finding different methods of teaching to suit each student's needs.

I have worked as an English teacher in a school in China. While there I worked systematically through a curriculum with my class of 35 students, as well as giving them individual help with areas of personal difficulty. This meant I had to tailor my approach in order to meet each student's needs, as the class was mixed ability. It was a challenge to make sure no student was either overwhelmed or bored, but it allowed me to develop my skills and each student managed to flourish at their own pace.

Whilst at University I tutored others in my year who needed help with the phrasing of academic essays- in particular I assisted students with dyslexia who knew what they wanted to say, but had difficulty clarifying their point in writing. This was a very fulfilling role for me, as I was able to assist people I care about fulfil their academic potential.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a very patient, calm person. I like to find out what interests my students and, if possible, incorporate this into their learning so that they associate their studies with something they like, not something they dread. I would normally ask a student to complete a small task initially so that I can assess their working level, and then progress from there, working at a pace which challenges them without being overwhelming.

I truly believe that each student has the potential to excel in life through education - and I would love to play a part in helping them reach their maximum level.

Personal Description:
My name is Jae, an international student at University of Surrey studying Aerospace Engineering. I have also studied at Australian National University for two years. My major at Australian National University was Manufacturing and Management Engineering. Although I am an international student, I have finished my junior and senior secondary education in English spoken country, thus I have good background of using English.

Teaching Experience:

I have no official teaching experiences in the UK. However, I am always willing to help my colleagues if they have any questions or problems regarding their subject as long as it is engineering related materials. On the other hand I was a volunteering Maths, Physics and English tutor in Korea for a year in total.

Tutoring Approach:

It is essential to understand the basic and fundamental concept in every academic subject and practice it. Thus, my approach for tutoring is to express the fundamental base as easy as possible then trying many examples to make a new understanding solid for later application.

Personal Description:
I am an Imperial College graduate in Biomedical Engineering (masters).
Being born in Italy from Italian parents, I'm a native Italian speaker. I have lived in the UK since I was 6 years old, I attended the European School in Culham, near Oxford, before moving to London for university.
I am a friendly and outgoing person, when I'm not busy with uni work I like to be in the company of friends, enjoy cinema, live music and playing/watching sports, particularly football and squash.

Teaching Experience:

Over my first two years at university, I helped some As and A-level students from my old school, especially during their exam period (i.e.: one on one revision sessions, helping out with coursework and writing sets of revision notes) in Maths, Biology and Physics.
Early in 2011 I joined the Blue Tutors agency, where my teaching skills were assessed and received full accreditation.
In October 2013 I did weekly one-on-one GCSE maths lessons for the month leading up to an exam. As well as the lessons I made revision notes for the student, whose mark increased from C- to B.
From January to April 2014 I was Project Coordinator and voluntary teacher in weekly extra curricular activity "Code Club", a basic computer programming workshop at Pimlico Academy. Generally about a dozen 13-14 year old students attended.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching is generally quite friendly: I believe that at a subconscious level, a student will be much more inclined to listen to and learn from a person they trust and appreciate. However, I also believe the teaching style must be suited to the student, and largely depends on the subject being taught.
A particular technique which I have learnt from Blue Tutors and have tried to implement ever since, is to try and lead the student to the answer by asking the right questions, rather than just giving him the answer.

Having worked for the past year within the financial services sector I will be applying for Phd programmes in pure mathematics and consequently will be in Bury St Edmunds for 3 months (Oct 2015 - Dec 2015). I have experience tutoring both A-Level and University level mathematics before through various tutoring website and can supply references. I also have experience teaching 1st year students at the University of Warwick through a teaching assistant position.

Teaching Experience:

Tutored a number of A-Level students and a couple of University students in Mathematics through various tutoring websites and some references. This was done whilst I was studying at Warwick and LSE. Good knowledge of university application processes and entrance exams needed for Mathematics.

Personal Description:
My name is Jasmine, I am 19 years old, and I am currently studying TESOL and Japanese at York St John University. My career goal is to become a translator, and I am working hard to help that happen. My hobbies are reading, writing, and music, which is also how I spend most of my free time (that and running around after my two younger brothers!).

N.B.
As my home address is in Cornwall, and my university address is in York, I am available to tutor in Cornwall during the holidays, and in York during term time.

Teaching Experience:

Though I have had no professional experience tutoring, during secondary school I was a mentor for helping younger children with reading and writing. I also have several language partners that I help to enhance their English skills as well as correcting their grammar. My university course includes the TESOL certificate, which specialises in teaching English as a second language, improving my teaching skills.

Tutoring Approach:

As stated previously, while I have never professionally tutored, I think this role would be good for me. I am patient and persevering, and understand through my own experiences that it is not always possible to learn through one method, but instead, there are many ways to learn new information that is tailored to your needs. While I am young meaning I may have less experience in this field, I also think an advantage of my age is that I am very open minded.
